I want to get a one x so I am wondering if any of you guys got the one x on pay as you go or sim free and what price? I was going to get it from three but I didn't want to pay the £15 pay as you go sim as I am on a monthly contract with them.
Available here for £430 on T-mobile PAYG from mobiles phone direct, but I believe all phones are actually sim free and unbranded.
Plus £5 quidco available, making it £425.

I tried to ask them through live chat, they told me is branded with T-mobile and sim locked....
But some people said they won't locked.

They just emailed me back saying it will come branded
Pretty sure it was Dial-A-Phone I used last time and as they're CPW it was a SIM-free handset with the SIM card thrown in

Only way you can unlock is is paying and going to this thread. There are no programs that you can find or use to unlock your phone unless you call T-Mobile and ask them to unlock it for you for free, then you will have to pay. Its a small amount anyways but go here for more information.

This chip have to introduced joined to an GSM common chip to your phone and "Voalah!" this is unlocked.

They sell them on Ebay as low as $9.99 ea. Just search under cellphone unlocking.
i think they are only good for 1 unlock from what i remember.

I got the code from gsmunlocklabs dot com - I took the admin's permission to let you guys know but he told me to stress the fact that it takes 20 days to get the code if not more so you don't set your expectations too high. I have submitted my IMEI early July and got my code just today!

I think we would save alot of heartache if we used the proper words when describing this topic. I was reminded of this a few moments ago when reading a wpcentral bit on the pricing of the 920. Besides the 2yr contracts, comments were made about unlocked prices.
This sounds very similar to the conversations here earlier about 900 pricing.
The 920, like the 900, will sell with a No Contract price, not an unlocked price.
We know the problem is with interpretation. No Contract foes not equal Unlocked.
So, there is no unlocked Nokia 900 from AT&T. There could be a Nokia 900 unlocked by AT&T. We know there will NO Unlocked Nokia 920's from AT&T. You will be able to purchase one No Contract. Remember the difference.

Hello all, have you preordered your Verizon HTC One yet? I did for in store pickup at a local corporate VZW store. It was about $649.49 with taxes, but $599 without tax. I had this phone on Sprint for about two weeks back in April, but coverage was so bad that I had to come back to Big Red (VZW). I'd missed the HTC One since then, so of course I was waiting for verizon to update the site at midnight .

Its actually live on Verizons website as of about half hour ago. You can order them now, pay online, and pickup in stores. Even shows you which stores near you have them in stock
I was going to, but I need it asap when the store opens, and via my live chat wit a service person, the order will be ready an hour after store opening.
I placed online order for store pickup and got confirmation already. I did not get charged tax in my final order confirmation page. It was not mentioned in the email confirmation either. I am in California. Anyone else has similar experience?

No. It needs to be SIM unlocked, paid off & not blacklisted. I bought one off of Craigslist. Had the guy meet me at a metro store to verify that it was all good. Fortunately, all went well. It'll cost you $10 for the micro sim card + $15 for the "ESN" change on your account.
It doesn't need to be unlocked metropcs is a T-Mobile mvno they run on the same towers but if you want to unlock it nothing to lose just request for an unlock code but if you haven't bought it yet take other guys advice if buying on Craigslist or if buying on eBay ask for the imei and check the status through T-Mobile
I'm just stating what Metro PCS Corporate told me directly. ALL phones (Including ANY T-Mobile phones) MUST be unlocked. Without exception. Their words - not mine. Was I surprised? Oh yes! I too thought since T-Mobile & Metro PCS are essentially one & the same that one wouldn't need it to be unlocked. NOT so. Don't take my word for it - call their TOLL FREE 888-863-8768 number & ask 'em. They'll confirm what I've said here.

I personally used my old droid dna on Metro pcs. It wasn't sim unlocked, just put a Metro sim in. Granted since I hadn't changed anything else it only got 3g data. But since it is T-Mobile M8 on Metro pcs you should have no issues.

No it cannot be. There is no sim slot at all. You may be able to put it on straight talk or pageplus, but I have no idea if you could put it on any other cdma network. To my knowledge most other countries use gsm over cdma.

Freedom pop is garbage. It's all voip. Even with strong 4g, the call quality is terrible, and it all barely works. Ting is the only one that's a normal service.
