Anyone get this to work? Fully that is? The numbers on the clock itself went away, but the day of the week and date is still present.
Hello everyone here are some personal mods to the systemUI and statusbar for Cyanogenmod.
Centerclock is based on Skynet's centerclock/iconswitch mod, but people don't like the flipping effect that makes the UI inconsistent so I changed it to Fly-in and it looks superb.
ICS layout is by AChep, I used his patcher, so do give him a thanks if you like it. This has no center clock but still has the fly-in effect and transparency(dependant on your theme too)
Hope you guys like it!
P.S. This will remove Jusada's battery bar tweak, I don't know how to enable it.
P.P.S Mount /system before flash.
Edit: guess people don't know how to get transparency.
Why you don't have transparency after flashing:
1. You forgot to mount /system before flash.
2. Your launcher doesn't support status bar transparency. GO launcher, launcher pro doesn't support it. Use the xperia active launcher, that works.
3. Your theme doesn't support statusbar transparency. Use miui transparent theme, or Orion theme, or lunarUi(market!) Or search for a transparent theme.
YES!
Yes! Love it!
Just what I want!
Hahaha! Just one Question..
Can I combine that... or if not Can you create that two in ONE
can i use this in ddkq6 stock rom?
Unfortunately I can't the patcher erases center clock mod and I don't have the skills to manually add the code.

No, this is for cyanogenmod.
If you like center clock and transparency you can use seilent's meizu port for coderom.

But somehow i failed and screwed the lock screen. Will try it later and will post the shots. But before you try it...make sure to have a nandroid backup!

U have to decompile systemui.apk .. its a .9 image therefore to edit it u need to edit in its decompiled state and only edit the color itself.. u cannot touch the black pixel boarder because that black patch is what tells the image how to stretch when phone is in portrait or landscape mode.. the image is called status bar close on.9 or something in the drawable xhdpi folder.. I will look into it but I'm not on jellybean yet

Ok I already had a decompiled jb systemui and framework res folder on my desktop and I looked and by the name youre giving it a pretty good size transparent square with a 66x66 block in the middle.
I looked through framework and I found status bar background files one of which is 7x1365 so if it was tailed across the screen would be about the right size. making transparent is no problem at all. getting the apk built after the fact might be trouble since apktool is being a flaming piece of **** the last few days.
I will try

I just stumbled across this thread. The issue is that its not just simple status bar transparency. That's easy, and it's already in the settings menu in ROM Control for AOKP. With MIUI though, you can have the status bar as totally transparent when viewing the launcher/desktop, but it's not transparent, or it's semi-transparent when you are viewing apps like the browser or when viewing the lock screen. So the question is, how could one implement different status bar settings for different views as it is implemented in MIUI?

I was really just trying to find a way to implement a clear status bar on the desk top/launcher on GB aosp roms (specifically, on decks reloaded.) I wasn't so concerned with the status bar in apps, browser, etc. I've tried uot kitchen which was mentioned above, but wasnt successful. as to why it wouldn't work, I don't know.

as i said in the pm's i really think its the way the statusbar is incorporated in the rom, best bet would to be ask in the rom thread that way a developer could give the right answer instead of me guessing at it.... lol im guessing the thread you found didnt work either?

Yes there is. Google search pvyparts battery bar. He wrote an app that does this. Only downside is that u have to edit ur systemui to get it to work. Since every rom is different its hard to make it flash able due to didferent systemui.apks. this is the battery bar mod I added to my cm9 rom.

we are actually talking about the statusbar and making it transparent. in reloaded there is an app for the battery bar and is simple to adjust. but in the rom it has a ICS-like statusbar (all black with the ics-blue signal bars and battery icon and what not). What atljatl is wanting is the entire statusbar to be transparent. Like in the miui and some sense roms that have had the flashable zips to make transparent statusbar.
Gotcha. That is a simple mod in the systemui.apk. just changed either the icon or xml backgroubd to transparent. Again I'm mobile so can't do it fir u right now but will when I get home if ud like
