Mute on bluetooth disconnect *how to stop this??* - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Any idea how to stop the phone from muting media/bluetooth volume when it's disconnected from bluetooth? I'm running AOKP build 35
When I go to reconnect I have to remember to turn the volume back up or I sit there wondering why it's not playing.

Strange, mine doesn't do this on AOKP M5. Volume stays right where i left it, even if BT disconnects while music is playing.

I seem to be having the same issue, but my phone is an HTC One X...
EDIT: Played around with it a bit more and discovered that my phone just doesn't remember the bluetooth volume. When bluetooth is disconnected it reverts back to what the volume was before it was connected. It seems to me that either the volume should be persistent or the phone should remember where the bluetooth media volume was left at, but at least for now I know what the problem is/was...

Well, the next day I discovered that that was NOT the problem...so...still having the issue...ugh...
UPDATE: Found another forum thread that lists Turntable.fm as the culprit, and I think the problems started right around the time that I downloaded Turntable.fm, so I'll try to remove that to see if that fixes the issue.

So the problem WAS with Turntable.fm. Bluetooth media volume behavior is back to normal after uninstalling the app.

Audio Problem

I have an s4 mini and I connected it tonthe bluetooth earpiece and it works fine. Now once I disconnect it from the bluetooth for some reason my phone audio is gone. When I press the volume keys instead of the volume icone showing it keeps on showing the bluetooth. I have checked and the bluetooth is off. Anyone know how to get the audio back without restarting the phone?
I did restart before when it first happened but now it seems like restarting doesn't work
Can you still see earpiece on a list of available devices?

[Q] Bluetooth headset buttons not responding

I have a Verizon G3 but figure this forum gets more eyeballs, and perhaps this is a universal Bluetooth issue.
I use the LG Tone+ HBS-730 headset with my phone. If I go into a music app and start playing music through my headphones with the app, no problem. But, let's say I pause music for a while, or turn the headphones off for a bit. I turn the headphones back on, press the play button on the right side, and nothing happens. The headset is still on - I can long-press a button and get the double-beep, but my music won't play. Sometimes it does, but most of the time, it doesn't. I switched from the stock Music player to Rocket Player, which has proven to be a little more successful.
Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere, or is this a common BT occurrence? Control is through the AVRCP BT profile, I believe. I know on my G2 I'd sometimes lose control sync with my phone, where I couldn't skip or pause the track through my headphones. This new problem seems like a magnification of that problem.
Overall, I do find the BT performance a little worse than the G2. I get more audio drops when the phone is in my pocket, but this is when I'm outside and BT is not great outside in general.
Thanks everyone - I have five days to decide if I want to return this phone, between this and some signal problems.
bluetooth connects. calls ok. media plays on device.

I come from the philippines and i have the g3 also. my bluetooth connection was fine it connected to my car and headset but now it only receives calls but does not play music through my bluetooth headphones. when i press the play button on my headset it plays on the device itself. checked under bluetooth setting and call and media and audio was checked.
my device is rooted. i did a factory reset but the problem remains unfixed. please help. i have installed g3 tweaksbox but i dont see any mods that is related to music apps. i dont know what to do. i have considered unrooting and flashing stock rom.
Also interested in this, as I have the same issue but my car.
Op, did you ever find a fix, or work around?
OP
Do you have any other BT programs loaded? I had something similar when I had the Sony app and a Garmin app loaded. Both use BT to connect to their devices and they were interfering. I removed the Garmin one and my play/pause button started working again

Volume goes down after tuning on phone

Hi everyone,
My problem is that after turning on my Nokia 5.1 Plus the volume goes down on my earphones (plugged). I mean, if I start listening music right after turning on the music volume is ok, and after few seconds it goes down without any notice and if I try to turn it up it's at it maximum, but if I restart the phone and turn it up right after it's a few points below the maximum. And the loop continues this way.
I've switched dev options of audio limitations regarding bluetooth, because I didn't find any for plugged earphones. I think this started happening after upgrading to Android 10, but I'm not sure.
Is there any solution? Is this a bug or a limitation done by android on purpose and has to be disabled via rooting?
Thank you all in advance!

Question Bluetooth Media Playback in Car via Bluetooth Stopped Working with P6P

My P6P (US Unlocked) no longer plays media via bluetooth in my car. It just decided to stop suddently (while playing). Calls are still fine.
Things I tried:
- Bluetooth On/Off (On the car and on the phone)
- Unpairing/Pairing
- Reset Network Preferences on the phone
- Tried another phone with the car (works fine)
- Enabled/Disabled the bluetooth media profile (kept the calls and contacts sharing)
- Paired other bluetooth speakers to the phone and they work fine.
The phone seems to think that audio is playing and so is the car, it's just silent. I'm on the December update.
Any thoughts?
Are you by chance having this problem with SOUNDCLOUD? It's been trouble since my Pixel 2 & 3XL / Android 11. And I can get it started with force stop + clear cache, but it is a pain!

Nope, it's Youtube music, pokecasts and Google maps. I suppose it's everythings except calls.

I've had a similar issue since getting the P6P. Usually it's (randomly) when I try to skip/restart a song or when the song ends the phone will still think it's playing, but the display for the car will show it's paused so audio will stop. To get it playing again I have to turn the phone screen on and press pause then play and it'll start playing normally. As you mentioned, only an issue in the car. No issues with any other bluetooth devices.
I haven't been able to get to the bottom of it, but I updated to the December build last night hoping that might fix the issue. Haven't been anywhere yet today to see if it worked, but your post is giving me doubts now lol.
Edit: Just to add, this is playing music locally from storage with the Retro Music app.
Since the December update i have the same problem, it will connect to phone but will disconnect and not reconnect to play media
On the December update. Was in the car today playing all my media. Iike Spotify and local music and works like a charm. Sounds awesome in my Mazda 3 through Bluetooth. Also same call signal as before more or less. Right now at least is good....but haven't left my area as it's the weekend. LOVE MY P6P!
More things I tried:
- In Developer Settings, changed Bluetooth AVRCP to version 1.3, 1.4 and 1.6.
- In Developed Settings, disabled hardware A2DP.
Still no dice, maybe I should go for a factory reset? Man this phone is weird
Yeah my bluetooth headphones and my home theater amp do not skip a beat, but my car keeps cutting out the music, only just started happening, slightly after decmeber update, so I think they pushed other updates (playstore) which caused these issues. Rebooting the phone fixed it, but nothing else including mentioned in the OP repairing the phone to the car, seemed to make it slightly better.
I too have also noticed the similar issue where the music just stops for no reason, and the phone app thinks its still playing, phone reports it's still connected.
For the OP, if you rock the volume keys up down and up again does it change, beause I did have mine at some point force to zero volume.
Update, it scould be related to temperature because in the morning do not seem to have the same problem, only in the afternoon, temp about 30deg C

I tried to rock the volume buttons on both the car and the phone and it doesn't seem to change anything. Both the car and the phone actually think that music is playing (as if it was on mute) and the progress time is always in sync.

Nope, It was actually fixed after factory reseting the car's headunit. Weird but at least it's all good now....

Hi mate, i had same issue, installing android 12L beta 3 fix all my problems, battery is awesome, fingerprint fast, animations smooth like butter....give it a chance and try, maybe fix all your problems.
I know it's a long shot but you should check the settings for automatic do not disturb. I had that happen when the phone realized I was driving and it drove me nuts. Uncheck and mystery solved.
Now if someone can tell me why at completely random times and within a call the device switches back to phone speaker or watch Bluetooth while on an Android auto phone call I'd be appreciative.

Try disabling a2dp hardware offload in the developer settings, fixed all my bluetooth issues.

Question New Bluetooth connection problem

My P6P no longer connects to my Bose Mini II SoundLink. This is a new issue. The speaker shows up in my list of previously connected devices. It won't connect when I try to use it. I have forgotten the device and re-paired it to no effect. It pairs momentarily then stops my music player and won't connect. It's not an issue with the Bose speaker as it pairs and connects to my Surface laptop. Up until the last week or so I never had any issues, I regularly played music and podcasts on my phone through the Bose. Any suggestions?
Have you tried resetting your Bose speaker? They have an internal max list of devices that they can handle, maybe you maxed yours out.

Try pressing 10 seconds on the power button, if that doesn't work try pressing 10 seconds on power button AND either volume up or volume down, that's about all the button combinations manufacturers usually use.

Thanks, I reset the speaker and re-paired with my Pixel, but still doesn't work. It connects momentarily, never plays any sound, then stops the music player and shows as not connected.

Did all that and restarted my phone and now it works. Thanks
Thought I had an issue like this with my phone two days ago. Seemed my speaker was connected to both my phone and my laptop. Whenever any sound from my laptop came through the speaker, it would stop the music that was playing from my phone. Took me about 30 mins to diagnose the problem, all the while I was wondering how my new phone's bluetooth just stopped working every now and then.
