For everyone who wants to do it on his one or sees that his firmware is not supported a little how-to.
How-to port them yourself
Download one image file pack (look under the images) and extract the .rar
Take any modded SystemUI.apk
Get the SystemUI.apk of your ROM of /system/app (either with root explorer or with adb pull /system/app/SystemUI.apk)
Place your SystemUI.apk in place-apk-here-for-modding of your apktool/apkmanager folder
Use apktool/apkmanager to extract the images (no need to decompile/compile) with option 1
Look inprojects of your apktool/apkmanager folder for your SystemUI.apk
Go to /res/drawable-xhdpi and replace the images with your favorite battery icon files.
Zip the SystemUI.apk back with option 3 (as a system app)
In place-apk-here-for-modding you should find an unsignedSystemUI.apk
Rename it to SystemUI.apk and push it to /system/app (either with root explorer or with adb)
You also get a Flash Script for the Recovery, just place the SystemUI.apk in /system/app and delete the README.txt then
Then flash in recovery
How-to get back to stock
Grab the back to stock SystemUI.apk
Push it to /system/app with root explorer or adb
Or use the Flash Script

Image files (bubble)
Image files (circle AOSP)

---NEW---
The MOD is now separated in 2 parts.
Part1 is the modded SystemUI.apk to provide 1% steps. The MOD contains already the circle style battery. I will still provide a “back to stock zip” for every version to fully de-install the MOD.
Part2 is the battery theme with the different battery styles.
The advantage of this is that part2 is compatible to all different ROM versions. So there is no need for me to update this for every new ROM.
Only part1 is ROM related and must be compiled for new ROMs.
This will save much time for me and you will get new MODs faster.
How to install:
1.Download Part1 for your ROM and flash it with CWM. If you like the circle battery, you are finished now.
2.If you want other battery styles, download the one you want and flash it also with CWM.
Note:
Part2 may also work with other ROMs that have already a 1% MOD(like most custom ROMs). Part2 inject only the battery icons in the SystemUI, nothing else will be changed.
Part1: (XXALE8/9-XXALF2/6-XXBLFB-XXBLG6/8)
downloads
Part2: (all Versions)
downloads
2 more circle versions added:
green_circle
green_circle2
Here are all versions as flashable zip file for XXALE8 to start.
The used firmware is always included in the filename.
I will also include everytime a back to stock zip to fully uninstall this mod.
This mod use 102 png´s for battery status (0-100%,status unknown)
and 102 png´s for the charge animation (0-100%, full) (all included in the packs of torxx)
For XXALE8 odexed:

For XXALF2 odexed

For Omega V4:

If you want more of them, you can just tell us..

Theme is up, ENJOY!!
Please could you also share your wallpaper?
Is it possible to use the UOT Kitchen with the SGS II by removing the framework and systemUI apks from the system dump in the development section?
You can use UOT, I used it for a couple of the mods on this, only reccomendation is to pull the apk's from your phone as the system dump is from an older pre-release software
Nice work
One q: did u really have transparent statusbar on this rom?, i been trying to get this without luck.

Alright DOC! I know its off topic, but please tell me you are bringing rom kitchen to SGS II I love it
EDIT: Just looked at the site
And as for transparent statusbar, my flawless technique for getting it working is UOT kitchen. it just works! I tried manually and failed, but it is transparent, well translucent if u wanna be picky
Would be good to have the old TV box effect on lock - i thought I saw it in an earlier version. Has it been removed from this one?
Adding CRT Off anim now, sry bout that, totaly forgot
Can i just copy your Framework-res.apk over the existing one on my phone using root explorer instead of using Adb??

How easy is it to go back to original from this theme???
Also whay do you do with the framework-res_0.zip - just rename it to framework-res.apk ????
how does this work becuase the system apps have .odex files.. dont you have to remove this first.. adb push will not remove them?

[MOD] Transparent lockscreen

Thought i'd pay something back for all i've learned here on xda-developers (something simple, i'm still learning ). So here are some transparent lockscreens for various roms. The lockscreens are completely transparent (10% opacity) except for the clock and the charging indicator. The files below are for unmodded / unthemed roms. If you want one for your theme, or one not in the list below, let me know.
Thanks to Lg_X_Modderer for pointing me in the right direction about how to make the lockscreen transparent. Thanks to everyone else who explained how to edit apk's and make flashable zip's etc.
Install through CMW from recovery.
If you previously have set a lockscreen wallpaper through the gallery, remove the file from /data/data/com.cooliris.media/files (with for example root-explorer).
Use at own risk, do a nandroid backup before flashing.

If you want to do it yourself, here's how:
I use notepad++ for editing, but any editor will work. Use apkmanager to decompile / compile framework-res.apk.
Edit res/layout/keyguard_screen_tab_unlock.xml.
In line 2 replace android:background="@color/background_dark" with android:background="@drawable/default_wallpaper".
In line 5 replace android:background="#30000000" with android:background="@color/transparent".
In line 12 replace android:layout_marginBottom="80.0dip" to android:layout_marginBottom="0.0dip".
Edit res/layout/zzz_keyguard_screen_lockscreenwallpaper.xml.
In line 2 replace android:background="#ff000000" with android:background="@color/transparent".
In res/drawable-hdpi:
Replace default_wallpaper.jpg with default_wallpaper.png. Replace zzzzzzzz_default_lockscreenw.jpg with transparent zzzzzzzz_default_lockscreenw.png (can be any png size 480x800).
Thats it.
sir, just a question...
currently, i have achieved a transparent lockscreen by setting a transparent picture file as my lockscreen wallpaper.
may i ask, what would be the difference with your method?
thank you in advance.
Well, according to this post, that didn't work. So i made changes to the framework-res.apk following Lg_X_Modderer's instructions and made the flashable zip's.
Well this is exactly what ive been wanting for my clear glass theme.
Wasnt able to achieve it myself. Can you make it work for my theme?
What do you need? the framework-res.apk?
Thanks alot.
Yes, the framework-res.apk is all I need.

Forgot to ask, is this for a odexed or deodexed rom? I'll include instructons when i return the file. Also got this when i decompiled your framework-res.apk: "Cant find 9patch chunk in file: "drawable-hdpi/status_bar_item_background_pressed.9.png". Renaming it to *.png". This needs fixing.
Oh im just fixing that file now. must have slipped by.
Villain 2.4.2 is deodexed i believe. Ill just check.
Im going to upload the fixed framework in a min.
Edit : ok .9png fixed. i just tested, decompiles fine.
And its Deodexed.
Thanks again and sorry about the mess up.

edit : small question, does that mean any wallpaper i set will be transparent or only the default one?
Every wallpaper you set using the gallery will have a black background. Haven't found a way to do that yet.

As far as i know every rom without transparent lockscreen support will display a black background that way. Atleast it does on lite'ning 6.1 (which i'm using right now).
ok cool. only problem im having is that it keeps my current lockscreen wallpaper and doesnt revert to the framework one. how do I put it back to the default one?
Browse to /data/data/com.cooliris.media/files and delete or move the current wallpaper file. (Atleast that works for me)
Thanks for the info. Maybe that could go on the first page to avoid confusion.
All working perfectly though. As a transparency maniac I love this!
Now I just need to figure out how to make backgrounds for contacts, mms, settings and phone transparent.
Heres a screenshot, add it to the front page, dont, your call.

For anyone wanting to know how to do this from scratch so it can be applied to other apps........
Going to use changing status bar Wi-Fi icon as an example.
1. Extract SystemUI
2. Note folder path to icon location
3. Create a tiered folder structure as follows
Wi-Fi (project folder)
-SystemUI (app name)
--res (app folder 1)
---drawable-mdpi (app folder 2)
Note: app folders should match those noted at step 2.
4. Download this xml https://www.box.com/shared/b8azhxogrg3ze5xt4y0o
5. Edit the xml to change xxx:
themename>xxx<
author>xxx<
phone>xxx<
rom>xxx<
themedescription>xxx<
item>SystemUI.apk<
path>/system/app/<
Note: item and path should match the app you are changing.
6. Save xml
7. Place xml in project folder
8. Place icons in appropriate folder. In this case drawable-mdpi
9. Zip project using 7zipper
10. Run Zipthemer process
11. Flash it

Removing Battery Icon MB4

1) T-Mobile (and probably others) Note 2 has to be rooted.
2) Copy your SystemUI.apk file (from system/app) to your PC.
3) Open it with WinRAR or other archiving program
4) Go to the res\drawable folder
5) Delete stat_sys_battery.xml (or rename it to .xmbak)
-- you can delete the charging one too but I like to see my stuff charging...
6) Repack the .apk using WinRAR
7) *** SAVE YOUR ORIGINAL SYSTEMUI.APK!!! ***
8) do this by renaming your existing SystemUI.apk to SystemUI.bak
9) Copy the new SystemUI.apk to your system/app folder.
10) Reboot and enjoy. Worked for me, should work for you.
DISCLAIMER - I am not responsible if you screw anything up, which is why you should ALWAYS back up your phone and the SystemUI.apk before screwing with it.
Picture attached of result.

Note: com.android.systemui has stopped working because I'm an idiot and didnt name the file correctly... learn from my mistake LOL!
There any way u can post ur .apk I am not home and will like to try this ty
Yup. Here it is.
NOTE: I am running a T-Mobile Galaxy Note II with Frosty JB v7.5 (see my signature) - I am newer to all this stuff so use this at your own risk, again backup prior to changing anything!! I actually copied the apk that came with the ROM and made 2 backups of it and then put my new file in place, renamed it to SystemUI.apk, and over-wrote the existing one. worked like a charm.
just a quick question, If I edit stat_sys_battery to where I add maxLevels for all 100 %s and add drawables for them, would this make the 1%Mod??

thanks for this, tried your apk but center clock is blue. i decided to mod the systemui and all works. thanks
Two things.
1) I couldnt find the old post, but Foreverloco was the one a while ago that said to do it this way, so a big thanks to him also. I could not remember so I was messing with it today and remembered how to do it.
2) Also, the center clock is blue - not sure how to change that pulled it from another mod, I didnt make it centered that was from the post in themes for the deodexed addons.

I'm doing some research now, actually, on that. I love the center clock but that was something I flashed. I want to learn how to make an entirely custom status bar up top, so that's going to be my new project (and first) I think.
let me know please would like to move the clock, i have n2 tmo, tried the apk but made my whole status bar disapear, so i went in manually and did it works fine, thank you
There's one HELL of a good guide here on all this stuff...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1989533
and also
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1237528
I think changing the clock to center requires mod in frameworks or mod in systemUI, that means need to use apktool. Tried this once with my gnex, trial and error

I've been playing with it. I have decompiled and recompiled the SystemUI.apk a few times last night and this morning before work and changed around a little bit of things like font sizes and colors... just need to find out where to change the size and color of the battery percentage text and then do some nicer icons and my status bar preferences will be all good
I'd also like to modify the weatherbug apk file needed to make the temperature text in the status bar match the rest of it, because its darker than the other blue I have picked out... so we'll see this weekend how it goes.
And they just replied on the post for APKTool... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39660963#post39660963

Yes, you must add all the 100 % to the XML and also put all PNG to drawable-xhdpi, you should change also stat_sys_battery_charge.xml like stat_sys_battery.xml to make the 1% mod also available when your phone is charging.
Gave it a try worked great thanks

After doing that, my status- and navbar disappears. I do not think, this is what is supposed to happen right? Tried to continue with the steps you wrote anyways, but then i got constant SystemUI force closes. Had to replace the SystemUI after that via adb after that.
I kinda feel dumb now, what am I doing wrong?

Those battery icons [SGS3-Blue] are in the battery theme pack that I provided. Just flash my 1% battery mod then create a ZipThemer with those icons.
Theme packs?
After flashing the mod, how do you create templets using the rar and zip file that was provided in the op?
Thanks for the work!
