SGP FlexHD screen protector - Galaxy S III Accessories

UPDATE: SGP has sent me a new FlexHD for free, so I will be trying it when I receive it. I am actually very impressed with their quick response!
I just got one and it has a horrible rainbowing effect. The bubbles are also seeming to be impossible to get out.
I've read that the rainbow dots will disappear after it has dried, but it has been a few hours and I see no improvement at all.
Should I try removing it and putting it back on? Or is it too late for that?
I'm surprised because I have had good experiences with SGP protectors on my SGS2.

Can you post photos of it on the phone?

Here are some pictures.

Sorry i meant with the screen off to see the coverage of the Shield. Does it cover the entire front or just the screen?

It covers everything except button, front camera, and speaker.

Is it easy to slide your finger across the screen?
And is it starting to look better yet

Yeah, everything about it is fine besides the rainbow ****.
And no.. hasn't improved a single bit. It seems like a defect in manufacturing. I'm going to file a complaint with SGP.

Yeah, give it couple days to dry up. It takes time for water to vaporize and dry.

Odd. I ordered their Ultra Optics version, not FlexHD, which they said would be available from June 4. Had an email Friday "Hello, thank you for your purchase and sorry for this news, but I heard an urgent message from headquarter this morning that there was a problem in production and it is postponed for another several weeks. Apparently the size of the final protector had a problem, but I'm not 100% sure. Would you still wait for its arrival? If not, I will gladly cancel your order. I'm very sorry for your inconvenience. Please let me know. Thank you."
Surprised your version was available if they had size problem on mine.
I cancelled and ordered Brando instead.

I remember Brando protectors way back when I had my Sharp Zaurus, they were the screen protector to have. Much better than Martin Fields and many more expensive ones at the time.

But they don't seem to have a photo of the cutting on their website. Anyone has a shot?

Excuse me for the off-topic, but does anyone know where to buy sgp protectors within the EU? Shipping costs through spigenshop are way too expensive for me.

SGP also sell through Amazon.com where their shipping charges, at least to the UK, are less.

[pics] Skinomi carbon fiber

Well I received my package in the mail today and what do ya know, its the carbon fiber skin I ordered! I bought a skin because I highly dislike cases, it always adds bulk and it really peeves me. Took me about half an hour to install it and I think I did a good job. Doesn't quite cover it 100% but i guess its enough.
Pros: Looks amazing
I like the texture
pretty good coverage
Cons: wasn't expensive, but it wasn't cheap either ($20)
Afraid it might peel (will update this in a few weeks)
still kinda slippery, possibility of it falling =\
I apologize for the blurry pics, I will post better ones once my camera is charged.
P.S. I also have a SGP Ultra-Oleophobic screen protector on, best screen protector I have used.
If you want to buy your own: Skinomi Carbon Fiber
SGP Ultra-Oleophobic
Looks quite good. I just wish they would make one that has front and back coverage. Having a cf back but stock front looks like skinomi did a half assed job.

That's why I put "The OP included the link" part. Just wanted to specifically point out that it's cheaper on amazon in case someone just googled skinomi and found their site lol. I would have ended up ordering from skinomi if I hadn't checked amazon first (wanted to take advantage of prime for shipping then found out it was cheaper) so I wanted to make sure others were aware.

I have the same thing, since this doesn't affect the car dock. I used the same skinomi carbon fiber kit on my Droid X, doesn't just peel off, you have to peal it off if you want it to come off..
I did use the screen protector that came with the kit, if you have any bubbles or blurs, it will go away within a couple of days.. I had 3 bubbles show up on my screen the next morning after installing, but it went away in 2/days.. I can't even tell I have it on, looks just like it did before I installed the screen protector..

They work fine just like they did for my Captivate too - put a T-shirt over your front buttons and try pressing them, does the same thing!
OP - Looks like "skinomi" charged you $20 for a pre-cut version of what you could have done yourself from an $8 strip from CarbonFiberFilm.com.... but hey, the cuts look good from what I can see in the pics, and it solves the issues people keep asking me about rounding off the corners on the back cover. I didn't do the back cover for a reason, so if you want to, buy this!

Just fitted my protector, it feels rubbery and it drags your finger as you move it across the screen, i have only just fitted it, so i don't know if this will improve once it dry`s out but at the moment i think i will removing it.

Did you get the full-body or just the screen? I got the full-body, but only plan on putting on the back.... I absolutely hate that feeling on a touchscreen.
Quite a few on here have been using these for a few months....More user views.....
I only got the screen protector, i just took it off, it felt really horrible to move my finger around the screen, i have a strong flip case so hopefully my screen will be protected from scratches anyway.
You experience of the protector might be different to mine, give it a go.

I don't know if you like to dig into facts most of the screen protectors come for some factory and are exactly the same even with variable prices from sellers on ebay and amazon. Buy cheapest one and expensive one. Test it out and realise.
American consumers look at price tags, many will recommend steinheil, ghost armor and all those , and when u end up buying a 50c one and compare, u will be surprised.

i would think you'd seen the leaked video of the Nexus 5 from the french site. if not, feel free to do a quick google.
in the video, at about 43 seconds, it shows what appears to be the ear piece up top in the center. looks like it's a bit smaller than the eraser on a number 2 pencil.
A screen protector is really useful? This doesn't spoil user experience? No small bubbles between the protection and the screen?

Looks like they changed the listing since I ordered, but I received a 4-pack.

Definitely not genuine. He's already shipped the product when the N5 isn't even out yet. He also change his listing and removed the Samsung Nexus 5 name (when we all clearly know the N5 is being made by LG). When I asked him what he has sent and whether it is a genuine Steinheil Product (as even their official website has no placeholder for the Ultra Crystal protector for N5) he simply replied he has sent a compatible one. What the hell is that about?! After 6-7 email exchanges (all logged by Amazon), I went to Amazon as the seller is now unwilling to give me a return postage label. I do not want this generic crap protector which doesn't even have a hole for the earpiece (as seen in the N5 leaked images).
I reported this seller to Amazon and am working through a claim. All I want is a refund, but not happy to pay return postage for a item which was misrepresented. Amazon even told me on the phone that this guy might be in breach of one or more of their policies. Anyway, just waiting for a refund now and will actually wait for the N5 to be released before ordering a SPIGEN protector from a legitimate store.
are just the crystal ones available? anyone have links to legit other ones?

AnkerĀ® Tempered-Glass Screen Protector

Installed last night and very impressed. Had 3 small patches of spider web, 2 of which have gone on their own and the 3rd is hardly noticeable and I have a feeling this will go too.
There's a slight lift around the edges of the earpiece, I guess that's down to the glass on the phone not being completely flat.
I've had a Spigen tr and a Nillkin, neither of which went on as well as the Anker - although that could be just me having more practice!
Oleophobic coating is also working nicely, a few smears but overall very good indeed.
I'd definitely recommend one especially if you don't want to pay the premium for Spigen.

I wish this was available in Canada =(
Just put mine on yesterday and only ended up with one small bubble in the top left area of the phone and no spider webs (w00t w00t!)
I have it paired with a Spigen Slim Armor and it fits on JUST about right. Not sure if it's putting pressure on the glass screen but it looks like it fits perfectly. We'll see how long it lasts with it.
Texture on the glass screen is amazing. Neither I or my co-workers could feel any type of difference.
bought this and have small spiderweb at bottom.. still happy, very high quality.
hope sw goes away after time.
I agree, wish I could find these in canada. $15 bucks I'm willing to spend, $35 not so much.

Actually we have had this issue reported and we are currently investigating it with our suppliers as it seems to be a batch issue. A replacement as much as I would have liked to make, it's not a viable option.
May I ask a second chance to make things right by issuing a refund? We will further process once we get your consent."
Ever since then the screen protector is not available, i didnt want a refund because i liked the screen protector but that half inch bubble its getting on my nerves. So i went ahead and accepted the refund will be trying Nilkin i guess.
I got this screen protector a couple weeks ago, too, and I have a big bubble at the bottom that hasn't gone away. I just called and they said they have made some manufacturing changes to the protector which should (hopefully) resolve the bubble problems. However, the new batch won't be ready for 1-2 weeks.
I am going to wait for a new one. They will call me when they are ready to be shipped.
