question about the google news and weather widget - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I have the google news and weather widget displaying the weather on my home screen. It's a great widget and all but for some reason at night it still shows a sun. Is there no night weather icons built into the widget? why is it always showing a sun even at night?

Night icons are actually built in to the apk but I hasn't ever displayed them. Going all the way back to eclair when it was released.

That looks like make your clock widget. Available in the market. Not sure about the weather widget.

I downloaded Make Your Clock Widget Pro just about an hour ago. I would say thats what he's using for the time, date and weather. You need the pro ($1.88) version to do weather stuff.

[Q]Live updating for Accuweather widget?

Hey I was wondering is there anyway to make the stock Samsung accuweather widget update live to your current location when you go from one city to another. I find it annoying that I have to go add everytime. I recall HTC sense updating on it's own. Is there an alternative widget similar to the stock one I don't need the time on it.

i use Fancy Widget, it auto updates pretty good, gets the data from weather bug or google weather
alternatively the stock android News & Weather app also can auto update
and i also use the Weather Eye from The Weather Network
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.pelmorex.WeatherEyeAndroid&hl=en
which is way more accurate than any of the above

Is there a way tooooooo

Change my weather provider for the stock clock/weather widget? It uses accuweather and that is the WORST WEATHER EVER! Its a epic piece of ****.. for my area, its only 50% accurate.. I was wondering if i can somehow edit it to get weather from weather.com (the weather channel) which is 80% accurate.. or sadly it wouldnt work?

[solved] Weather widget temperature digits get cut off

Any idea how to fix it? Ive tried removing and replacing the widget. Not sure what else i can do.
Which weather widget are you referring to? I tried the accuweather (i think that's what comes with the phone), but wasn't what I wanted.
Anyways, you may also want to consider other weather widgets on market. I found 3D Digital weather clock and also Android Weather on market and found I like the Android Weather better - it offers transparency, shows location, date/day, time and current temp and weather condition.

Yup, I do mean the stock one. I tried uploading a picture of it thru the xda app, but it keeps hanging. Thanks for the tip, I'll try Android Weather.
Update: the ota update for 2.3.6 fixed the issue.

[Help] How to fix the weather app is always sunny ?

now is the night in my country but accuweather is always sunny
Is this bug?
how to fix it?
i've changed the city but it still is sunny
Get rid of it and use something like a good Weather/clock widget. I love Transparent clock & weather version 1.01.01 by MACHAPP
You can customize the widget/information, location etc...works like a charm on all sorts of ROMs/phones on android.

I paid the $1.49, or whatever it is, worth it.
