[Q] call recorder increasing battery use? - HTC One X

Hi,
recently (i think since i flashed the 2 way call recorder patch) my battery drain has been pretty big, and not even when i'm calling people.
the main suspect is always "cell standby" but this seems pretty vague, so i used better battery stats which pointed at Baseband_XMM_Power and that didn't make things much clearer. perhaps someone here can point me in the right direction or has also noticed increased battery drain after flashing the 2wcr patch.
1st is 2h30min after unplugging (give or take a few min
2nd is 10h30min after unplugging (give or take a few min)

in the whole day i probably spent... 50min listening to music wile reading the news/looking on the internet and writing/sending a text for about 2 min.
also i've had this issue using :
Leedroid 6.4 with Franco R9 / Eternity project 0.92b
Charmelion 5.0 rom with franco R9 / R10 / Eternity project 0.92b
ARHD 7.0 with Franco's R10

Suggest a kernel with stock 4.0.4

Hello there, can someone suggest what kernel would add nice performance and some battery life on stock 4.0.4 (yakju biuld) ?
I've read almost all KERNEL threads, and I'm closed to two choices:
1. oo7 kernel
2. FuguMod kernel
What do you think of above? Also, can you provide some scr shots of batt life with kernel which you suggest?
Thanks!
I'm running stock 4.0.4 too. I use franco's kernel. Smooth and great battery life.
Can you put some screenshots of batt usage and display time on if you have?

Here you go. Im using franco kernel too.

franco.kernel updater also features a powersave mode - could save some additional percent battery...
LeanKernel FTW.
But this is all based on OUR phones.
And OUR opinions.
Try a few out.
Keep them for at least a day before deciding.
@Trixnix
Good usage. I decided to try bond's kernel and after first cycle I've got 4h 28mins of display.... So, good as franco's as I see
Yep, sure phone is new and ready to be "tortured" with kernels...

[Q] Battery Life Question

I just got this phone and I've tried looking around the forums and I know that the Gnex isn't suppose to have the best battery. But I'm running Franco.Kernel and CM10.1 nightly and i was wondering if this is about average and what the 1013 Wake Lock is. Thanks!

1) i believe most franco runners get at least 3hrs of on screen time... so cycle your battery a few times to let the kernel and battery settle in and adjust
2) wakelock 1013 -
IIRC... it's media server? or the data that is pulled from google?

Click to collapse
Ok thanks for the reply and do you know how to fix the 1013 wake lock or is there nothing I can do?
ak's diamond 70 kernel has improved my battery life a ton, worth checking out.

Battery drain problems

My gpad the wifi version running Android 4.4.2 got problem in retaining battery. It drains about 4 to 5 percents of the battery when the pad is in idle for about 10 hours. The pad is new so i don't think is the app i downloaded that is causing the problems. It must be something have to do with the manufacturer. Are you folks having the same problems? May be i need to flush it and reload the android to get away the apps installed by the manufacturer. Any ideas? Thanks.
Sound better than average to me (I've had quite a few tablets&phones ... but only have this GTab for 2 days).
that is actually quite good, mine use to lose 10+%.got it to only lose about 2-3% by using clean master.just kill everything when i go sleep.give it a go.
Thanks will give it a try. There are just too much possibilities here. Need an expert to figure it out.
Download App Ops Starter from playstore. Look for apps that keep your tablet from going to sleep and turn off that setting. Also you can turn off their ability to spy on you.

[Q] Massive cell standby battery drain when on WiFi Calling

Has anyone noticed this on their Edge? I'm running the latest software release including the OTA. On my previous phone the GS4, I never had the same issue with WiFi calling and this type of drain in the same location.
So far, I've tried turning off VoLTE, but I'll need a few days to see if it makes a difference. Any one else have other suggestions?

There is a discussion going here about this:

Some are saying turning off wifi fixes it. I'm testing it now
Turning off WiFI fixes the issue. This is what you should do: Turn off wifi, fully charge phone, restart.
Thanks, I'll give that a try. It should be a permanent fix correct? Hopefully there's a software update soon.
Ok...So here are my current stats. I had Wi-Fi off the whole time. About twenty minute phone call, web browsing, about 1.5 hours of audio streaming with screen off.
I am okay with this and think it will just get better as the phone settles in.
Lost about 8-9% overnight while sleeping.

Android 10 Update Bug Screen Flickering

Have a look at this ...
scary
https://youtu.be/2K6OfvVCSus
My 835 did something similar the first "real" restart after Android 10 got installed, went on for ~20-25 seconds I would say, then I pressed the screen on/off button twice, all came back and I could unlock the SIM and continue ... hasn't happened since ... but was indeed scary
Marcher
I had the same problem too. Another reboot cleared it.
Didn't have this issue. But I noticed new battery settings and turned on the "protect battery" feature and now seemingly my sot has improved by a crazy amount I'm not sure if it's a bug.
The feature basically just makes it so your battery won't charge higher than 85%, and then when it says 100% after restart, it's the same as just 85% before. I can't post image for some reason, but I'm currently at 53 minutes of SoT and I'm still on 94%..

Got the same issue randomly (twice since Update), thought itˋs Hardware(GPU) Problem. Iˋm going to do a Clean Android10 Install if i have the time to.
