[THEMEs][MODs][6.2.B.0.x] Themes for JB 4.1.2 | Xperia S | [DISCONTINUED] - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

31/10/13: Goodbye guys, I do not longer have this phone.. :/ I got a problem with the touch screen and sent it in for repair, the repair center couldn't fix it and offered my money back. So I took it. Probably going to buy a N5 when it's released here.

Extra: Unplug from USB turns on screen, no annoying popup warning when battery reaches 15%, led off when fully charged (doens't always work),
Uses the overlay function Android have. More info see here and here

24 dip :http://www.mediafire.com/download/8un51vb53ki8u7t/24.apk (No extra mods, only navigation bar)
You need patched SystemUI when using smaller navigation bar! All my SystemUI mods/themes are patched. Here is a patched stock SystemUI for .211: link. Or simply extract the navigation_bar.xml from one of my SystemUIs..
Different sizes can be requested if you ask nicely!
To install: use adb or file manager and push the file to /system/vendor/overlay/ and reboot. If you want to revert to no navigation bar, simply delete the file and reboot.
Bug: Camera overlay..

You need root to do this. If you are using ES file explorer you need to edit settings in order to edit files in /system. Menu - Settings - check "Root Explorer" and "Mount File System".

sorry but there is a bug
i am using this
when battery is charged fully. the number 99 increases to 100 and then in a tick tock it backs to 99 and again increases to 100 in a tick tock
99, 100, 99, 100, 99, 100 continously

These look really nice, are they mods you did of the Xperia S ICS stock SystemUI.apk file or from a different firmware?
-smc

I can't get battery mod "Numbers" to work for me.
I did put it in /system/apps and it is rw-r--r--
Did a reboot...nothing..
Do i miss something?
I do use ICS rooted.

There should be no problems with it, working fine for me and others.. You can try with Androxyde's kernel and follow these instructions to push the SystemUI.apk through adb:
Open cmd in same folder as the .apk
adb remount
adb push SystemUI.apk /system/app
Reboot for effect.

That is for development. Many people want it to either build a ROM or use parts of it in their ROM, themes etc.
I am uploading my ICS themed lockscreen now Looks pretty nice, way better than stock
edit. Updated 1st post

The icons for the lock screen seem a bit big

Is working now, was my fault.
Thanks for the mod

Are these icons HD or low-res? I love the battery percentage list you have but I can see some blurriness in them.

1% Battery Mods - Update 09.2. Android 4.04 - Now incl. TUTORIAL

1% Battery Mod for Deodexed ROM`s
As soon as I had my new GN in my hands, I had to mod it
I`ve drawn completely new png`s, since old GB versions are way too small. Also control of these icons now moved from framework to systemui, but porting that to ICS was quite trivial.
Credits: Paul O`Brian for UI patches (& me for latest versions )
What does this Mod?
It shows the battery symbol in 1% Steps in your Statusbar, also during charging
Prerequsites:
Unlocked, rooted, DEODEXED ROM, CWM Recovery
DO NOT INSTALL on ODEXED STOCK ROM
Installation:
Flash zip in Recovery or via ROM Manager - Nandroid is as always highly recommended before you flash
Tip: With Widgetsoid you can emulate Cyanogen Power Widgets perfectly on ICS, without the annoying popups known under GB with this or other comparable apps.(see Screenshot 2)
NEW - since there are many ROM´s floating around with updates every day, I stop only offering the fish and better teach you fishing. I will still update it for some ROM´s, but can`t support them all
Tools: Installed SDK & JDK, apktool or apkmanager, Notepad++
Battery Patch is fairly simple (if you don`t include my UI patches):
1. Decompile systemui.apk
2. Copy stat_sys_battery.xml and stat_sys_battery_charge.xml from my zip in drawables folder and overwrite your stock xml´s
3. Copy all 204 stat_sys_battery png`s from my (or another) zip in your xhdpi folder
4. Compile and flash with one of my update zips
To better understand what you do here:
stat_sys_battery.xml controls the battery steps in status bar
stat_sys_battery_charge.xml controls the battery steps in status bar while charging
You need to add all png`s before you compile, so that ID`s for all new resources are added to public.xml.
stat_sys_battery.xml, stat_sys_battery_charge.xml & circle battery png`s

Weather widget is Palmary weather, you can hide the widget from Homescreen in extended settings, it`s pretty well hidden in the menu
I would recommend to give the widget a name, so can edit it later in settings.

Thank you, I just don't get this: what "search and settings" become always activated with Paul's version?
In the meantime I have installed the stock version and works perfectly well!
When you use Paul's version the "Search and Settings" buttons become always visible in the dock in the bottom!

Here you can find modded files for different ROMs and for ODEXED and DEODEXED ROMs dont mix it up!
General Information:
Why ODEXED:
As with the older baksmali/smali tools the Browser breaks in the new SAMSUNG ROMs while doedexing, I decided to make modifications for the ODEXED Standard Version of the ROMs!
ODEXED Files are even faster so we should start to make MODs for ODEXED ROMs...
As deodexing works properly with the new smali tools I decided to release also the deodexed files..

Yeah, i like it. Only two things bothering me:
1) "swipe screen to unlock" text - totally unnecessary
2) date shown as Di.. 17 Jan.. - Di, 17. Jan would be nicer IMO. At least removing the 2nd "." would be nice.
Any chance we could see this implemented? I know there is a modified framework-res.apk provided in this thread:

P.S. If possible, please deodex app/framework and upload.

Oh, the gps icon bug is still there
On .45 stock it didn't work. I lost the notification bar completely. The phone will boot up but there will be no notification bar at all. I replaced the SystemUI.apk with the original one and rebooted and it's back on track. I really wanted the quick buttons in the notification area :|
EDIT: Working now with SystemUI.odex DELETED

[MOD][BENZ ROM][UPDATED-V6] Battery Icon

This MOD is based on Benz Rom V6.
All this does is replace the battery icon with a stock style battery icon in blue with either 5% better increments or 1% increments with numbers.
SystemUI-1PercentWithNumbers.zip = 1% increments with numbers
SystemUI-5Percent = 5% increments, plain like stock but in blue.
Example of Images:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Sreenshot:
I haven't made a flashable zip, if anyone wants to then feel free!
Installation:
Make a backup of System/app/SystemUI.apk (just incase!)
Download appropiate attached file, extract and copy to your SD card
Using a Root File Manager, copy the SystemUI.apk to /System (NOT /System/app)
Set permissions:
Then move SystemUI.apk to /system/app and overwrite current file.
Reboot.
Let me know if it works, and Thanks are appreciated
As always, not my fault if you screw up your phone. Always use caution when modifying system files and make sure you know what you're doing!
Re: [MOD][BENZ ROM] Battery Icon with 1% Increments
Works perfect for me!
Sent from my GT-I8190 using xda premium
good work but i dont like it when in the battery icon was the battery status i dont use it but its always nice!
I have added a 5% increment mod that is just a better incremental battery icon with no numbers as with the 1% mod.

but when you pulldown the status bar i've made some changes in toggle setting icons (original icon with blue colour and fully black notification background) looks better than the transparent one.
hope you like it and sorry for the bad english

decompile framework-res.apk with apktool
open res/values/strings.xml with notepad++
delete what ever string you dont want to appear or rename them and so on
you might have to edit the array of the android.policy.jar too
I dont have time to go through a step by step - but you will find everything in those two files

For duos all you need to do is Decompile any systemui.apk for duos & Decompile my systemui.apk
Then copy the usb folder in smali/com/android/systemui from the duos ui to my ui
Recompile and put in the flashable zip
You can use apktool for mobile if you don't have a pc
thanx for info bro,i have pc but i have lil issues since the update to win 8.1,but when it goes with app than its great.thanx. :good:

Sorry I miss read the mod you was talking about
The power menu is in android.policy.jar with the references in framework-res.apk
That mod is just for hyperion 8 Rom as it uses that framework
iv no idea if it will work on duos - I don't have the device so I can't test
There are guides - iv credited the people of the guides at the bottom - it's just a case of copying smali then you need to edit it with all the references from the framework
Don't have the time right now to do it but after Xmas I might start building my own roms
Added How To Implement 1% Battery Mod On Your Rom in the guide section on op
Added odin flashable firmwares to op
op updated with new volume panel status bar for stock and aosp
added new cm7 status bar to op
seperated stock aosp and cm7 into different catagories
nice...

Hello Sir. Your thread has proved very useful to me and finally I have installed the Hyperion 9 Final Rev ROM. Its a very nice ROM but I just wanted one small thing which is, I want the status bar to be black. Only the top bar, and not the whole notification drawer.
Is that possible? (you might be wondering why such question, but I really don't know much about ROMs)
So if you can help me with that or point me in a proper direction then I will be really thankful.
