Oh, the gps icon bug is still there

On .45 stock it didn't work. I lost the notification bar completely. The phone will boot up but there will be no notification bar at all. I replaced the SystemUI.apk with the original one and rebooted and it's back on track. I really wanted the quick buttons in the notification area :|
EDIT: Working now with SystemUI.odex DELETED

The ROM is nice and runs smooth. However market is not working for me, keep having device not compatible issues. Mostly properly due to 190 dpi setting but not so sure. Any idea? Thanks.

just hit the thanks button below..
Hey, this 492 error is coming back again. I reset back to 240 and reinstall the patch again. This doesn't help. I google a bit and looks like the error is kernel related, not so sure. I'm using AF974-Kernel-V 3.0-EXT4 as posted on page 1. Any idea?
Cool and smooth. Thanks a lot.
Guys I need a helpful hand.
I'm new in android world but have flashed a lot of Windows Mobile devices so it's not that scary for me. I bought two days ago a Galaxy Tab 7 with Froyo 2.2. Decided to go with something newer so I've flashed it successfully with stock ROM v2.3.6. But now I don't have any idea how to flash this thing: 2.3.6-JQ8-ICSv1.zip in order to have this nice looking and useful ICS style (or whatever you call it). Odin doesn't accept zip files so figured out that it must be in some kind of boot mode so I entered into it by pressing volume up+power. Then I'm able to select this zipped ROM from the internal SD Card but when I go with 'update' option it says: "E:Signature verification failed".
What I am doing wrong
Thanks in advance

What is "cwm" and where I can find it?
How can I install the kernel (I guess you mean AF974-Kernel-P1000-V 3.0.zip) if Odin doesn't accept zip files?

For everyone who wants to do it on his one or sees that his firmware is not supported a little how-to.
How-to port them yourself
Download one image file pack (look under the images) and extract the .rar
Take any modded SystemUI.apk
Get the SystemUI.apk of your ROM of /system/app (either with root explorer or with adb pull /system/app/SystemUI.apk)
Place your SystemUI.apk in place-apk-here-for-modding of your apktool/apkmanager folder
Use apktool/apkmanager to extract the images (no need to decompile/compile) with option 1
Look inprojects of your apktool/apkmanager folder for your SystemUI.apk
Go to /res/drawable-xhdpi and replace the images with your favorite battery icon files.
Zip the SystemUI.apk back with option 3 (as a system app)
In place-apk-here-for-modding you should find an unsignedSystemUI.apk
Rename it to SystemUI.apk and push it to /system/app (either with root explorer or with adb)
You also get a Flash Script for the Recovery, just place the SystemUI.apk in /system/app and delete the README.txt then
Then flash in recovery
How-to get back to stock
Grab the back to stock SystemUI.apk
Push it to /system/app with root explorer or adb
Or use the Flash Script

---NEW---
The MOD is now separated in 2 parts.
Part1 is the modded SystemUI.apk to provide 1% steps. The MOD contains already the circle style battery. I will still provide a “back to stock zip” for every version to fully de-install the MOD.
Part2 is the battery theme with the different battery styles.
The advantage of this is that part2 is compatible to all different ROM versions. So there is no need for me to update this for every new ROM.
Only part1 is ROM related and must be compiled for new ROMs.
This will save much time for me and you will get new MODs faster.
How to install:
1.Download Part1 for your ROM and flash it with CWM. If you like the circle battery, you are finished now.
2.If you want other battery styles, download the one you want and flash it also with CWM.
Note:
Part2 may also work with other ROMs that have already a 1% MOD(like most custom ROMs). Part2 inject only the battery icons in the SystemUI, nothing else will be changed.
Part1: (XXALE8/9-XXALF2/6-XXBLFB-XXBLG6/8)
downloads
Part2: (all Versions)
downloads
2 more circle versions added:
green_circle
green_circle2
Here are all versions as flashable zip file for XXALE8 to start.
The used firmware is always included in the filename.
I will also include everytime a back to stock zip to fully uninstall this mod.
This mod use 102 png´s for battery status (0-100%,status unknown)
and 102 png´s for the charge animation (0-100%, full) (all included in the packs of torxx)

31/10/13: Goodbye guys, I do not longer have this phone.. :/ I got a problem with the touch screen and sent it in for repair, the repair center couldn't fix it and offered my money back. So I took it. Probably going to buy a N5 when it's released here.

Currently doesn't work with AOSP centered lockscreen. If you install it on top of that mod you will get a bootloop! Solution: revert to normal AOSP lockscreen.
When volume button is pressed, you get volume control for currently used audio stream.
With this mod, you get also button for changing volume for all other streams.

If you are on locked bootloader without CWM, you can extract the files from the zip and push it to you phone with adb / use a file manager.

Place the files you wish to install in the app folder. framework-res.apk must be place in the framework folder.

You need root to do this. If you are using ES file explorer you need to edit settings in order to edit files in /system. Menu - Settings - check "Root Explorer" and "Mount File System".
sorry but there is a bug
i am using this
when battery is charged fully. the number 99 increases to 100 and then in a tick tock it backs to 99 and again increases to 100 in a tick tock
99, 100, 99, 100, 99, 100 continously
These look really nice, are they mods you did of the Xperia S ICS stock SystemUI.apk file or from a different firmware?
-smc
I can't get battery mod "Numbers" to work for me.
I did put it in /system/apps and it is rw-r--r--
Did a reboot...nothing..
Do i miss something?
I do use ICS rooted.

Yes, they are based on stock SystemUI.apk, only some changes to get 1% battery.

There should be no problems with it, working fine for me and others.. You can try with Androxyde's kernel and follow these instructions to push the SystemUI.apk through adb:
Open cmd in same folder as the .apk
adb remount
adb push SystemUI.apk /system/app
Reboot for effect.

That is for development. Many people want it to either build a ROM or use parts of it in their ROM, themes etc.
I am uploading my ICS themed lockscreen now Looks pretty nice, way better than stock
edit. Updated 1st post
The icons for the lock screen seem a bit big
Is working now, was my fault.
Thanks for the mod
Are these icons HD or low-res? I love the battery percentage list you have but I can see some blurriness in them.

Original Theme Project Xperia Ion
Original Theme Project is all about themeing Sony's firmware to the better look.
I have been working on Xperia S, Ion, bit on GX and low end devices like P etc. I myself own an Xperia S. I am not able to test all mods for the Ion, so make a backup!
Guide to install is on 2nd post!Needed: Root and some knowledge about adb.
As always: I take no responsibility for any harm that comes to your phone as a result of applying this mod. This is still in test stage for Xperia Ion! Please report problems and give as much info as possible.

[How to]
How to:
All mods on previous post is in .apk form (no CWM zips). Easiest way to install is to use adb and push the apk to its right place. If you have problems understanding how to use adb USE GOOGLE AND SEARCH.
For normal system apps:
adb remount
adb push YourApkHere.apk /system/app ( for example: adb push SystemUI.apk /system/app )
For framework-res.apk:
adb remount
adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework
adb reboot
Another way is to use a file explorer:
Copy and move the file to /system
Set right permissions: rw-r--r--
Now move the file to its final destination.
You can also put the apk in a CWM flashable zip.
Nice stuff

Man I Love you!
This is really great! It works perfect!
I moved all the files in ES File Explorer and everything works great but the text on the lock screen is right under the buttons and is in the next button. Charging status is also right under the date text. Did I do something wrong? I moved the right file to the right folder.

I had changed my font and upon changing it and rebooting everything looked right on the lockscreen. Thank you for these tweaks, they're perfect man. I look forward to seeing more!

Works perfectly thanks ! Question though, how do you move the clock back to the corner?
I guess you could just extract "status_bar.xml" from a mod with the clock in the corner, to my SystemUI.apk. Suggest you use my "ICS statusbar" mod.
status_bar.xml is in SystemUI.apk/res/layout/

anyway to get some battery mods? like the circle ones or solid numbers
Can you include a brightness bar in the notification menu? Not a button, but a bar that we can slide from left to right.

Okay, I think my Ion is bricked
First, I put the framework-res.apk & SystemUI.apk into \system & changed their permission to rw-r-r, then put them into their final place. And after reboot, the status bar just FC & said "the process 1$s has stopped". I tried doing everything again but after rebooting this time, Ion can't even get into launcher, just a black screen with a popup "Starting applications. %1$s running" forever
I have no idea how to turn this off. Anyone can help?
Look like you forgot to deodex rom before you changed out your SystemUI & framework-res. I hope you did backup the original files or did a backup through CWM. If not you need to reflash the ftf again.
Sent from my LT28at using Tapatalk 2
Ookay, I didn't see the note that these things need deodex so I just install them without knowing, lol. Lucky I got everything backed up so I just flashed deodexed rom & it works perfectly xD
Oh btw... one last problem. Somehow the "Turn off phone" option in my power-menu became "Sound OFF" instead. It still turn off the phone when I press it though xD
Edit: I found out the prob, framework-res.apk from the lockscreen messed up the texts in my phone, including power-menu & numpad when calling. Its all back to normal after I reinstall the original framework.
I am using AOSP Lockscreen with music fix. it's very good but I can't Import contact from sim card. Help me

Enable X-Reality and Super Vivid on xperia m Locked Bootloader only (4.3)

Hi all i've been try to another experience with x-reality and super vivid engine that on z3. now i port this to xperia m in locked bootloader condition
so first of all you need install advance xperia settings (this not my thread for xperia settings) you can find in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-m/themes-apps/mod-advanced-xperia-settings-t2953591 thanks to him for this apps
that custom settings app you need for get another support settings for xperia m
and it's only worked on locked bootloader condition for unlocked bootloader i never try it because i'm running on locked bootloader condition
And you need to enable superuser mod from serajr xperia xposed. Install that app and active it from xposed, after that open that app go to system and enable superuser mod. And reboot your phone. Done
so it's the way..
1. after you download my file copy that file to your external sdcard and extract them, because this on locked bootloader condition you need to install this manually using root explorer or anything else
2. after that copy the files in the app (imageenchancer.apk and swiqisettingservice.apk) to the system / app and set permissions be rw-r-r
3. copy the files in the folder etc as be_movie to the / system / etc and set permissions be rw-r-r and folder permissions to copy the files are in the folder permissions and set permissions be rw-r-r
4. copy the files in the folder framework to the / system / framework and set permissionya be rw-r-r
5. then copy the files in the lib folder as libmbe.so to the / system / lib and set permissionya be rw-r-r and copy com.sonyericcson.album folder also contained in the lib folder and set permissions on the folder into rwx-rx- rx and also set the permissions that are in that folder into rw-r-r
6. if it is added in your build.prop this script
ro.service.swiqi2.supported = true
persist.service.swiqi2.enable = 1
ro.service.swiqi3.supported = true
persist.service.swiqi3.enable = 1
ro.service.xrfm.supported = true
persist.service.xrfm.mode = 1
after all reboot your xperia and see this option on settings - display

}
and enable bravia engine 2 if not enable, and go to image enchanment option and see this option
choose one what you want it X-Reality or supervivid they will be worked on album and movies app but this only can one running
and this for review different from X-Reality and SuperVivid
1. View attachment 3087543 2.View attachment 3087551
(first picture it's with X-Reality and the second picture it's without X-Reality)
1. View attachment 3087553 2.View attachment 3087554
(first picture it's with Vivid Engine and the second picture it's without Vivid Engine)
nah have you see the big different? have try yaa
And never try to deleted some. Odex file from your framework or app if you copy this file to your system

You're not deleted, .odex file right?
This still not stable, so you need enable superuser mod first before install this. Install serajr xperia xposed from xposed framework and enable it after that open that app and go to system and enable superuser mode and reboot it. Done now you can try without bootloop
ive already got deodexed and superuser mod, so not really sure what went wrong
question
Hi!!!
I have a question, you modified the com.sonyericsson.colorextraction_impl.jar file?
The original port of this mode contain problems with this file and not fully work on Xperia M (Check your Walkman App, background color change according the Album art color? or the LED color change in the walkman and album app?)...
and
Thanks for references my mod
Sorry for my bad english.

No I'm not modified that file, i only port from xperia z3 x-reality and vivid engine to xperia m. And led is so fine in here. My phone change led in walkman and album. No problem, but bootloop is still biggest problem because this mod only can be running on locked bootloader

If you are already full deodexed apps and framework, this mod will make bootloop. Because some framework file can't be running correctly on deodexed framework files
. I suggest to only deodexed apps only and not framework, and please don't deodexed too credentialmanagerservice.apk because if this change from change you will get beautiful bootloop. This mod is need a patient because only can't work on locked bootloader
