So I cut down a old sim I had since my micro sim that came with my one s doesnt work with the one x data, So the old sim is cut and in the phone and I can finally set my apn but now it shows two apns tmobile data and tmobile mms how do I set these up to get data?

Anyone have this phone and is using the device here in the US? I bought mine in the Philippines and now I'm back in the US. When I try to use my AT&T SIM card, the data is not working (making/receiving calls works). What I noticed is that I don't see a default APN appearing on the settings. I manually added APN I copied from my Nexus 4, but still no go. It does work with my T-Mobile SIM, and there are actually several default APN appearing on the settings.

I have a rooted and unlocked t mobile S4 which I usually use in the Dominican republic with a Claro sim card and works well on 3g since Claro doesn't have 4g LTE. I am now in NYC and popped in my mom's att sim card which has a data plan and I have always used it every time I travel to the states on my previous phones (last one was an iphone4s) and it would work fine with the data and everything. Now on the S4 I'm getting voice service but no data. I went to att and they say it's the device. I had the infamous rom installed and I thought maybe it was that so I changed to darthstalker x rom and still have the same problem. I even went to T-Mobile to see if I could get a prepaid sim with data and the phone was not able to register in the network. With my Claro sim card I'm getting 3g from att but the roaming charges are going to kill me!! Any recommendations??

Most likely you need to find the proper APN (access point names) settings from
your mom's service provider (ATT).
Once you find the proper APN you need to edit the APN settings in your phone.
To edit the APN settings in your phone you navigate to:
Settings>Connections>More networks>Mobile networks>Access point names
and change the access point names so it's the same as your mom's phone.
OR you can call the local ATT store in NY and get the needed information.

I am using custom/dedicated APN from ATT and Tmobile for work. I have 3 tab 7.0 inch from ATT (SM-T217A). I am testing this before purchasing more.
All three units are from ATT. I do not have any tablets from T-mobile currently. On ATT APN I2gold, I have set it up and it work as expected, however the tablet switches back to default ATT broadband APN often like every 10 minutes, not suitable for the business. Unlocking my SM-T217A and using it on Tmobile with Tmobile custom APN that works and it does not change it always stays on the dedicated APN(b2b.tmobile.com) which is what my goal is with ATT and ATT device.
To summarize, ATT Device with Tmobile Sim works on APN I input, I believe Tmobile Device on ATT Sim Card would have the same result.
Is is possible to delete default APN from ATT on ATT device? I just want to get rid off ATT Broadband APN and their Activation APN.

I recently got an unlocked HTC One m8 that I connected with Net10 wireless. My calls and regular sms work just fine, but I cannot for the life of me figure out the correct APN settings to get my data and MMS working. I'm using a factory unlocked HTC One M8 with a Net10 AT&T nano SIM card.
I've tried the regular AT&T apn settings from the website, I've tried the "RESELLER" apn settings from the website, I've tried numerous combinations of apn settings from different forums and nothing. Was hoping the brains of xda could help me out so I decided to finally make an account.
Any help would be appreciated.
I unlocked my VZW g6 play by entering code in settings section to unlock phone (did not insert AT&T sim and wait for code request). It said code accepted but when I put in my AT&T sim I can't connect to their LTE network. It reads the sim, switches to global (gsm), and my network says AT&T with the proper phone number for that sim... But no 4g. I tried inputting the APN settings I found on several sites.. No luck. Same when I copied the APN settings from another AT&T prepaid phone I had available. No go. I called and asked for the APN settings from AT&T and they said I need to change the IMEI number on my sim to that of my g6. They said they did that for me. After power cycling the phone as instructed I still have no data service. Anybody have an idea what settings I need to use in order to use my AT&T sim? Or is that even my problem?
