[Q] Freezing apps on S3? - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

I have a T-Mobile version of Galaxy S3 and I don't want to try out the new rom(s) yet until there are more so I'm staying stock. I'm wondering if you can freeze apps on this phone because I remember you couldn't freeze apps on the Galaxy Nexus.

If you are rooted...you can freeze apps with Titanium Backup.

You can also disable most of them, with a few exceptions. I disabled almost all of the bloatware, the only one I couldn't disable was the "More Services" app.

[Q] Samsung Account - can I remove?

I don't use Samsung Account for anything at the moment and was wondering if there is any reason to leave it on my phone? Are there other applications that may lag and slow down my phone if I remove this account? Thanks.

If rooted, you can flash a rom that has removed it, or freeze it with Rom Toolbox Pro or Titanium Backup. Another alternative is Settings, Device Manager. Scroll over two screens to ALL. Scroll down to the app of your choice and click DISABLE. This will keep it from running, but allows you to ENABLE at a later time if you wish. The disabled app now goes to the bottom of the list. You need not to be rooted for this method

I meant remove the account from settings menu. I'm stock JB. I don't use it for sync and have disabled 'samsung app' store and 'more services'. Does anything on the phone rely on samsung account?

Nope, you can remove it without affecting the phone or the apps you have installed already.

[Q] google search and google settings

I recently rooted my Vodafone Samsung Galaxy Note 2. All went very well, it only took 2.06 minutes. i bought titanium backup, i bought SD Maid and i installed sd booster, all is very well, i backed up all my stuff on to my external sd card and its also on dropbox and then i got rid of loads of bloatware, HAPPY DAYS!!!!
I have a question, i want to get rid of google search and google settings but i am not sure what effect that will have on my phone. Does anyone know?
Don't remove google settings.
If you want to remove google related apps, then first freeze it using titanium backup. See the effect of that and then decide. Freezing app is same as disable apps and its component. If any thing goes wrong you can just defrost app.

Apps to remove

Im just curious if we have a list of apps that are safe to actually remove from the phone? Im currently using titanium backup to uninstall ones I dont want but I dont want to go too far without knowing what i may or may not do to the phone since there really isnt any custom roms yet.
You should use TB to freeze system apps that you are unsure of. If you don't getting any errors or FC's afterwards, you know it's safe to uninstall. IMHO though, I would just leave them frozen as I don't see much to gain from uninstalling. The only exception would be Hangouts, it likes to FC even when frozen.

Removing apps on unlocked s9

I got my s9 phone today (unlocked). I noticed flipboard and facebook come pre-installed. I did uninstall, but that just uninstalls updates, not the app. Is there any way to totally get rid of these, without having to root or anything?
How do I know if my s9 is the unlocked version?
I also have an unlocked s9 and I ended up using BK manager to simply disable the built-in apps I didn't want.
That's always been a gripe of mine. I can see makers wanting to put their own branded software on a phone but I hate it when they insist on putting apps like Facebook, Flipboard, etc on the phone as system apps. Especially when these apps are easily installed from the store.
