This is a very intersting poll and has been done successfully for many other HTCs.

I fail to understand why this is silly. You guys obviously know everything about diamond ROMs and have no interest in this poll and look down on diamond newbies.
I have been buying HTCs for years and posting on this forum and have never seen this reaction to a poll.

I think it's better to let a mod remove the cluttered posts and just let Colonel continue with this poll.....I actually see the reason why he did....just as some sort of quick benchmark/comparison and let's be honest.....it's sometimes hard to search and find an appropriate poll regarding ROMS...
Off course everybody can choose their own ROM which suits the most..
Hope you all understand me....

I will try and maintain it.
However polls can not be updated.
So we can close after a week and I will re-open with new list.
Basically my criteria was ROMS from the first two pages of the ROM forum, on the basis that three pages old are not that much used. Perhaps there is a better criteria that someone could suggest,, but it seems roughly correct if you look at the "Other" choice.

Someone must be delete this one.
This is misleading - the poll asks "which ROM are you using" and then the first posts asks "your best ROM?" So the ROM I currently use may not be my Best overall. The Best ROM I ever used was by mun_rus
So which do I respond to?
Anyway - I like dutty ROMS as the Messainging Manila TAB has the extra options then I like SwiftBL as its smooth. AZTOR Rom seemed nice and quick but did not pick the GPS at all.
The base ROM is Duttys for today but tomorrow I will change and next week I will change again and so on and on and on (ARISTON)
As I customise the Base ROM so much - I will call it my own.
Why is this a multiple choice poll? Good for me as I have more than one diamond so I can select the ROM I am using for TODAY
Dutty's definately. I used to run 2,5 which worked great, then I tried the 2nd beta of Syrius, which suddenly crashed on me the 2nd day. So I'm now happily running Dutty's 2.8. Which has been great for about a week now.

Boot into your bootloader. Do that by pressing volume up and power when phone is switched off. If it boots normally, disable fastboot in settings > power. It should say on the first line:
****** PVT SHIP S-ON / S-OFF RL
****** = MARVEL / MARVELC / MARVELCT

I tried Cm7, wasn't impressed. Now I've been running jxmatteo v1.2 for 2 weeks & its truly amazing. Sense 3.5 runs sweet, rooted & deodexed, oh & with wifi running 24/7 I still get two days out of my battery. The stock rom that came with my fone wasn't even that good, got a day at best b4 I had to charge it. Honestly, try jxmatteo you won't be dissapointed

These kind of questions (and also these kind of threads) aren't allowed on XDA as they have such a high chance of causing arguments/disputes.
As we all prefer different types of ROMs, different types of kernels and have such different usage of our devices, someone's answer can never really help us as everyone's will have a different opinion. You may even end up missing out on a great ROM purely due to the fact that others haven't mentioned it.
Therefore, I'll always suggest that you test ROMs out for yourself so that you can definitely be sure how suitable a particular ROM is for you
Also, for future reference, don't find a thread from almost 2 years ago and bump it up to the top of the forum.

This thread is only a short term thing as ics is still new and fresh until consistent roms are made available we can keep tabs here on whats happening in the t989/ics world.

I looked over in the development and it looked like there were a few builds. What are the big differences between all of them? Any more stable than the others?

Well we need a kernel source for the T989 period. And that Should fix the biggest issue ICS has on our phone which is the Backwards auto rotate which effects the screen display pictures and whatever else is mapped to the Gyroscope.
Second biggest issue that is reported, but I have not had would be the voice echo in phone calls,I have not had this but some say you can cancel the noise reduction setting and it fixs it but I can not confirm that.
This is reported repeatedly in every thread so maybe that can be highlighted so people stop reporting it.

bty any AOSP or MIUI rom are not recommended for daily use. I am just saying this cause I seen somebody in Ravers AOSP thread just buy and T989 and wanted to use that rom as a dd and it is not.

What's the source on this? Obviously this would be great news for getting us a more stable daily driver, but I'll remain skeptical until I'm proven wrong.

No ! It's like if you were asking if Linux has windows in it, if a Ferrari has a Dacia in it...
Explanation : Sense is a framework, it's like wrapped over the android OS. AOKP/AOSP/CM9 based roms are free of this framework and based on the original google android source code.
In the same idea, a sense rom doesn't contain CM9, but you can make it look like with themes or a "de-sensing".
For this exact reason, you need to wipe your phone before installing a non-sense rom over a sense one (or the other side) (even if you should wipe when going from one rom to another, sense or not.

No, It has to do with what is written in the first explanation.
Explanation : Most sense apps and widgets are linked to the sense framework, some more, some less, making it theoretically possible to port those apps to a fully sense framework free environement. However, the camera is solidely attached to the framework, it may be possible, but don't hope for it soon

And still the answer is : NO ! you will end in a bootloop.
Explanation : The Boot.img contains many stuff like kernel, ramdisk... and this ramdisk is different for most of the rom's and a boot.img will only fully work with an adequate ramdisk.
However, you can repack the kernell with the zImage tool which is to be found in the forums.

When I started on XDA I was searching for a recap like this, people not wanting to read throught hundreds of pages of a well-filled thread is not meaning they won't read a recapitulative thread...
Is a post trying to help others such a pain for you ? If this can help one person and avoid a single useless post on a single thread I will be more than happy.
I hope you can revise your judgment...

I agree. This is the strangest forum I've participated in on XDA. Here's some personality categories I’ve observed.
* Narcissist’s - in spite of a topic or point being posted multiple times in an already open thread, people feel that they're experiencing of an issue is somehow more important than anyone/everyone else's. They have no problem starting a new thread saying "I know this has been posted before, but..." Hint: before you post, ask yourself are you posting for the benefit of others or for yourself?
* Newbies with Attitudes - Not picking on this user in particular but this is an excellent example.

Not only is it naive, it's wrong. Had it been posted as a question "what's the difference between the 2.X and 3.X kernel?" the poster would have realized s/he's uninformed. Hint: instead of coming out with both guns blazing, ask a question rather than making a statement if you're not sure about what you're talking about.
* Martyrs - Yes, the One X has launch issues. More than it should. They're all well known by now. Similar to the narcissists, the martyrs relish reiterating the same complaints amongst themselves in page after page in a thread. Hint: No one here can help you. Rather than ***** pointlessly figure out how to get your problem resolved. I'm not having any problems but it took me all of five minutes to find the two most senior HTC execs in Europe that oversee customer service so those with issues could have someone to write to and seek help. Hint: Don't just post "*****es," post potential remedies.
There are other personality categories unique to the One X forum but you get my point. I love my One X but sure wish it came with SGS3 forum.

the closest equivelent i can think of is like ODIN for samsung
you download the latest RUU for your phone
in my case generic (ruu_endeavor_u_ics_40_htc_europe_1.29.401.11_radio_1.1204.105.14_release_260491_signed_c9d22.exe)
plug your oneX in and run it, it will fully return your phone to stock

A RUU is the full ROM installation utility from HTC, using it will fully reset your phone to the same state when you bought it (only thing it won't change is the fact your phone is locked/unlocked if I remember well), can't tell you what it wouldb be in Samsung-land ut probably samsungs Odin flashable base rom.

From what i see, his reply has been very polite buddy, and second OP is senior member.
Let me make you an analogy, if your dog take a poop in your usual breakfast plate, it doesn't make the world end buddy, but it does make that plate ****ty.
Good thing is this have been moved to this q/a graveyard, and he doesn't recieve my response before.
Trust me, i can make a lot of worse version for both - this reply and thread reply.

If u are that desperate to get pixel ROM just try my pixel ui mod ul get most of the pixel UI
And just remember that next time don't create Questions answer threads in other sections

Dude you need to chill down. We all make mistakes. OP is asking a simple questions and yet you are not helping in anyway.
@op - I don't think so but you can try Resurrection ROM or any other pure Android ROM and flash Google pixel mode which would give you a close look to pixel.
To answer the question, a true Nexus/Pixel ROM port is possible but extremely hard and time consuming and not always worth it.
Not trying to insult any devs but custom Roms not based on OOS are not worth it. There's always stability issues with certain apps and performance is very good but inconsistent (random lags here and there that are really annoying). Camera quality is not even close to OOS (unless you're on sultan's ROM but that's cm13).
You're best bet for this phone is Experience ROM or FreedomOS (based on OOS 4.0.2) and F2FS format for /data + Blu spark kernel. Best performance/battery life combo there is in all situations

Hey thanks for the replies guys.
The Pixel Ui isn't the reason I want the port. My main issue with the current Roms out there is that 90% of them are based ok lineage OS which atm has way to many bugs / issues imo. I know some issues you can fix by flashing this zip and that zip and maybe another zip here. Not the biggest fan of that.
As for the OOS based ROMs: I am currently on one of them. Sadly i am also one of the people that has huge issues with WiFi / network stability.
I opened this thread cause I saw that the Samsung Galaxy s7 has a working Pixel rom Port and so does the nexus 5x. There are more phones that have working ports too and all of them are not as similar to the pixel phones as the OP3. That's why I was wondering why no one has ported it yet and if someone would be willing to try.
