This is the third case that I have gotten my hands on for the Samsung Galaxy S3. It's great that the layout of all these devices have the same layout. We're getting a number of accessories available to us and the device has hardly launched.
AT&T seems to carry a lot of speck cases in general. I found this on there, but only in gray/black. It fits in between our Ballistic SG MAXX case and Belkin Sheer case. I had no problems noticing the added bulk vs the Sheer case. Will this result in more impact protection? Quite possibly. How much? That's hard to determine especially when I've paid out of pocket for these two devices. If one slips, I'll be sure to let you know what case it was in and what the damage was.
The case seems to be of pretty high quality. We did have a problem with one of their One X cases, but this one seems less prone to any issues. The location of the power button on the One X caused the plastic around that area on the case to break after a week or so of heavy use.
One of the biggest likes over the Belkin Sheer TPU case is that the buttons have a rubber cover instead of the hard plastic. This provides crisp feedback of the buttons. They snap right back into place. There are no issues reaching any of the buttons like in the Ballistic case.
So I might have found the middle ground between a barely there case and full blow, it's time to fight a war protection.
MSRP: $34.94

Nice write up. Trying to track down a grey one myself.

Thanks Chris. Call corporate AT&T stores. Good luck!

have you tried taking it out of the case? i've heard it's hard to get phones out of the candyshells.

I've probably put about 5 cases on these phones so far. The TPU cases exhibit the same behavior It's not impossible to get out in tact, however it does want to hug the back cover. You might wind up just the device in your hand.
If it does get stuck in there, you can poke at it through the camera hole to encourage it to come to the surface. That's one thing I don't like about Samsung devices, but oh well. This phone is pretty darn cool.

kickstand case??

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8091859&postcount=4
can anyone tell me if this case will work with the vibrant. if not, where can i find a kickstand case, other than the bodyglove brand.
Bodyglove has a cool case that has a kickstand. It's around 20-25

i have both the black mesh kickstand as well as the bodyglove. they both fit and work. the mesh kickstand may not be the top choice of some vibrant owners because it does not protect/cover the borders of the front glass/face of the vibrant as most cases do. i've had problems with the bodyglove case as it appears to be scratching the back case of my vibrant. i had the same exact issue on bodyglove case with kickstand on my hd2.
.
i let my sister have my bodyglove case. i actually didn't have a problem with the weaknesses of the black mesh case since the makers of it actually put some soft padding within the case to prevent scratches on the battery/back cover of the vibrant.

I think that seller was selling 3 diff colors; black, white, and pink(?). I bought the black one 3 wks ago and recieved it about a wk ago. Initially, I thought that it was going to be shiny hard plastic case but to my pleasant surprise, it wasn't. The exterior is covered in a thin layer of hard rubber, covering the black hard shiny plastic underneath, while the inside of it is slightly padded. It looks a lot better in person than in pics.
Is the kickstand serving its purpose? Hell yea, it is...it makes watching movies on my dope SAMOLED screen that much more awesome The hard rubber makes for a good grip so it won't easily slip out of your palms like it sometimes would w/out it and it gives the phone an overall slick/cool (IMO) look. The only downside so far is that I'm getting some very small worn out spots where the hard rubber has rubbed off but it's not a big deal though.
Pics or it didn't happen, you say? Well, check 'em out !

New Momax iCase Pro hybrid case

It's the closest thing to a CaseMate tough I've seen on sale for Galaxy Note
At Mobile Fun for £16.95 + £3 del.
Here's the sales pitch:
Combining a black shock-absorbing rubber edge with a transparent black plastic back, the Momax iCase Pro provides unrivalled protection for your Samsung Galaxy Note.
Yet again I'm a Noobe could someone be so kind as to post a link & photos from mobile fun.
There's no holes for a lanyard which is a deal breaker for me but does look like a nice quality case, I wonder if the holes near speaker and the hole for the S-Pen could support a lanyard?

Seems fine indeed...
Thanks Beretta93
I should also add that the case is Pre-order only at this time.
I'd appreciate any feedback on the above case and any alternatives for those seeking a hybrid case at the moment.
Im not impressed by the momax icase pro, it doesnt offer double protection like the case mate tough case does. All it has is a hard plastic (pvc) back glued (sometimes badly) to the tpu frame/bumper. It's an okay case though, just not as good as the nillkin tpu case at twice the price...
Hope this helps your decision making.
I've had no experience with momax icase pro before, your reply resolves much indecision thank you
Now I'm left with the choice as to whether to wait for Case Mate tough release date or go nillkin tpu case.
Looks very similar to the bubble case but with a higher price tag.
hi. i'm using the nillkin soft case now, but changing it to some other brand as the cutout hole for the microusb port is just not big enough. the original charging cable cannot be plugged all the way in thus not charging the phone.
I'm sorry to hear that. thanks for the heads up.
I think I'll stay away from nillkin soft case in that case, pun not intended.
Thought I would share my thoughts to help people as I fell into buying it as it was cheapish.
I am having lots of problems with the power button, the case seems to be constantly resting on the power button on the phone causing it to reboot. Have tried putting the phone in multiple times to ensure that it is on properly but always having problems.
The buttons are super hard to press too.
My advice is to avoid this case at all costs.

Has anyone used either of these our know anything about them?

Used the Aegis on the Sprint Galaxy S-II and it was great. Fit, protection, button worked smoothly without forcing. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the styling. I prefer the more asymmetrical, slightly industrial look. Based on the pics, looks like they went even further with those styling ques for the S-III, but I'm sure the build and protection are going to still be top notch. If you can put up with the 'design by committee' impression the new Aegis shouts, I'm sure you won't have any regrets with it's quality and performance. Don't know much about the Body Glove,... but at least it looks symmetrical, and for me, that's at least a start. Spend some time on YouTube, there are a lot of un-boxings and reviews for many of the S-III cases out there. Good Luck. Any reason the Otterbox Commuter didn't make your short list?
Just didn't like the look of it really. Off had body glove cases in the past, but they've been hard shell cases. I checked in you tube and i just can't tell if the body glove is really silicone like and attracts dust and lint or if it's more rigid? I'll probably end up getting the aegis. I like the sleek profile of it and the design is pretty nifty. Thanks for the info!

I currently have the Trident Aegis case on my Galaxy S3. This is my second trident case and love the case, I like the styling of it and I also like all the options on colors. I do think the trident for the price offers a better protective case than the others at similiar prices. The only issue I would state is the outer layer (hard cover), is a tad bit too tight and feels like it might snap trying to get it on (although its not nearly as bad as trying to remove a otter box defender) which was not a issue with my GS2 trident case, other than that, the buttons function perfectly, it looks good (to me at least) and its protected. Good Luck.

Poetic Case Review with pics

I have been searching for a slim case that added no bulk to my sleek nexus 5. I looked at Ringke, Spigen but all the reviews on amazon said they damaged the phone corners. I was going to settle for a soft TPU case when I stumbled across this. Poetic sand black case for nexus 5. Even better it was 4.95 with free prime shipping. I figured I would take a shot since I know a lot of people like the poetic cases.
I must say I really do love the case. the cut outs for the buttons are nice, the top and bottom are exposed fully rather than cutouts but the case extends a bit past the ends so they would be somewhat protected on a drop. The case fits like a glove but I have had it on and off a few times and so far no damage to the corners. It adds almost no bulk, infact it makes the phone that much better for me. The sand texture on the case makes it really grippy. It does not slide around in my coat pocket, It feels really nice in my hand, almost like a coated textured metal. It extends far enough that if I flip the phone the glass does not touch the table and the camera lens does not poke out past the back.
Short of a bumper case, which I was not too crazy about this is probably the best case I have seen so far for the N5.

How difficult is it to take off the case? It seems more or less like a SLIM case but instead of using the texture on SLIM it uses sand.
Should've done a forum search. I did a review on the same case about a week and half ago, mang.

More reviews the merrier. OP isn't asking, hes doing his own review.
Decent case but find it unbranded as "quicksand" on ebay for $1-3. Sit back and wait 3 weeks for it to arrive though.
Sorry wrong thread

Armadillotek Vanguard case

Got this case two days after I got my S21 5G. I don't know how some people do it, going caseless with modern phones. I could barely keep a hold of the thing.
I've had "rugged cases" in the past for other phones, and this one is definitely on the thicker side. I mean this in a good way. Every time I've tried cases that claim to be rugged AND slim, its always a tradeoff. So don't think you are going to get both together.
All that said, this case is very solid. The texture is just grippy enough that I have a solid hold on it, without feeling rubbery. Very unlike all the TPU cases that have always felt cheap to me. Regarding a couple of the features.

At first I though these were just cosmetic, made to look like hex-bolt heads for that "rugged" look. However, they extend just a hair past the surface and have a slightly more rubbery texture, so they function very well as grippy feet on smooth surfaces.
Compared to the button covers on other rugged cases I've had these do a good job of firmly contacting the real buttons on the phone. So far I haven't had issues with accidental presses or not pressing them when I want. The force required feels very natural.
Just my opinion, but one thing you WILL have to compromise on with any good rugged case is the Samsung Edge panel feature. The raised edge of the rugged case will make it difficult to access the slider that reveals the Edge Panel, especially with meaty fingers like mine. Honestly, it isn't a feature I really made use of on my S9, and the case I had then wasn't raised at the sides making it more accessible. However, that came at the cost of MUCH less protection in an accident.
Last of all, the price is great. My only real gripe is my wife has a Samsung S20 FE, and wanted one for herself. Unfortunately, Armadillotek doesn't make one for that specific model.
I hope this helps someone else looking for a case like I was.
Nom
EDIT: Thought I should add that it DOES work with the Samsung wireless charger I had picked up a couple years ago for the S9 that I had. So not "too" thick for that to work.
