Thanks man, but I can't downlaod market 3.3.11. The link you provided says Bandwidth Limit Exceeded. By the way is it really android market 3.3.11???
I downloaded com.google.android_4.3.605.music-PlayMusic.apk and copied it to system/app (it can't be installed as a normal app). The UI has been changed slightly on vertical mode but I can't acces to the music I guess that's because I don't have the new market/google play.

I just installed directly 4.1.513 by downloading from the link, then uninstalled it & then copied the 4.3.605 to /system/app with permissions fixed (rw, r,r) & after rebooting google play music worked - it shows the correct version.
I am wondering what do I need market 3.3.11 for?

Sorry, I didn't understand what you mean - you mean old market (play store) 3.3.11 is needed to download/buy music or something?
I saw in another forum that if you're outside US you can login to the windows music manager with an US IP using tor browser to get capabilities like sync'ing music to the cloud & make it available wherever you go.
I am currently on market/play store 3.5.15 & am able to use google play music w/o issues - search only searches within the phone, not online.

I used to back up Google Play Music via MyBackup Root with apk+data so that my device wouldn't re-authorize with every ROM change. Since updating to Jelly Bean, it doesn't even show up in the app list anymore.
Anyone know of a way to do this now?

I worded that poorly, I mean it doesn't even turn up on MyBackup Root. TitaniumBackup gave no options to actually back up the file it seemed to me at the time. I'll play around with it some more when I have a little time before next flash.

Thankz alot i want to try it now

Google Play Store (Android Market) v3.5.16
Requirements: Android v2.2+
Overview: Play Anywhere, All your entertainment in one place, Google Play is your one-stop shop for all your favorite entertainment.
ChangeLog:
- Play Store has becomes lot more faster than 3.5.15,
- Frequent force close errors for the users of Froyo 2.2 has been addressed,
- Works faster even on Slower data speeds,
- Slight UI changes in “My Apps” section
----You now have the Installed and All tabs you can swipe between. The former one is what we used to have before - it lists all apps installed on your device. The latter lists all apps you've ever installed in case you want to download them again or travel down the memory lane. This is quite handy, and I've seen this list before in the Play Store on the web, so it's great to get it here in the mobile app.
----The All tab contains a handy dropdown with all your accounts (if you added more than one) and lets you switch between them very easily (as opposed to clicking Menu, etc).
----A few of the stock apps that apparently never got linked to the Play Store before got identified and picked up this time, and updates.

Thanks, works for me on CM9. I unistalled the old market with titanium backup after a nandroid backup and placed vending.apk it in /system/apps, reboot and finished
Not working on LPS - parse error
@protetul: don't try to install it, download the version that xinfinityoO posted and place it in /system/app, change the permissions and reboot, it should work. I use the latest nightly of CM9 and it works great.
Hi I am unable to download the attachement in your post when i try to download it.. its too small and has a problem parsing the package.
Try to download the version in post #2 and look at the post before yours.

Not working on CM7 on my Galaxy S2.
Deleted the system/app/ and tried installing, no go.
Deleted the data/app/ one and tried installing, still no go.
Copied it into data/app/ also still no go.
And yes, I rebooted every time I made any changes such as deleting, etc.
Cleared cache and force disable old Google Play apk... Then try to install the MOD version and says "Application not installed
An existing package by the same name with a conflicting signature is already installed. "

I've tried the 1-st one - failed to install. Then MOD-Google Play Store v3.5.19 Signed - successful.
The unsigned one means you have to manually paste it in the /system folder and fix permissions. The signed one allows you to install the apk like any other app. The first apk in your list is a non-modded one. read the OP for more info

Hey Deeco7, can you do a search on your mod Google play store for two apps call Tap sonic, or o2jam please.
I try the a mod version before, don't seen to be working. Thank you
works fine!
Don't even work -.-
Mod version features:
- Unlimited access to apps in Google Play Store
Removed countries restriction in Google Play Store Doesn't remove anything.
- Fixed the issue which your device is not compatible with this item in Google Play Store Still the same restriction.
YOU MUST HAVE ROOT, to use MODDED VERSION!!
Using this Mod:
- You cannot download/buy apps that are not available in your country. You can only view them in Google Play Store
So what's the point of the mod? .... you can see it but you can't buy or download ... it's like having the most high end phone, but you can't use it ...
Asus TF101 9.2.1.24 Root
Installed successfuly, but still doesn't search for country locked apps.
Doesn't solve " Fixed the issue which your device is not compatible with this item in Google Play Store"
Whatsapp - not supported (for example)

[Q] How to enable new 4.2 keyboard

So I'm on unlocked stock yakju and before 4.2 came around I've been using a keyboard app called Smart Keyboard Pro.
Until now i didnt feel the need to even try the default keyboard because it stupidly doesn't have an enter button. However I do want to try its new swype like keyboard but I'm not quite sure what I've done to the keyboard. I vaguely remember i did something a long time ago where i removed the default keyboard but with subsequent updates it has never managed to come back.
Anyone know how to get the default keyboard back?
Under options -> Language and input > keyboard and input methods i only have "google voice typing" "smart keyboard pro" "wifi keyboard" and nothing else.
Just start swiping your words when typing. I didnt need to change anything. its the default keyboard tap or swipe.

Sadly, it's not that simple. It just doesn't exist on my phone, it's just not there.

He doesn't have the one labelled "Android Keyboard" anymore (first post says he uninstalled it).
@csirac, if you can remember which file you deleted to remove that keyboard in the first place, all you would have to do is re-add the apk file, and it should give it back to you.
You could try flashing one of those "4.2 keyboard on 4.1" mods that are out there to see if that gives it back to you.

I've extracted my stock keyboard (including dictionary) apk from the system/app folder. You can try to push them to your system/app folder and see if it brings back the stock keyboard. I'm on stock takyu 4.2.1 by the way. It doesn't matter if you have yakyu as its basically the same anyway.

thanks for that.
Could you explain how to push it to my device?
You need a file manager app that supports root features such as "ES File Explorer" or "Root Explorer" (both available in Play Store). Connect your device to your PC and copy the 4 extracted files from the zip to your SDCARD. Open up the file manager app that you chose to install and copy the files to your system/app folder.
Can you recall how you removed the default keyboard? I'm assuming that at some point you removed its APK from the system/app folder thats why its not present in your system anymore. It could also be that you just disabled it so it doesn't show up. If you have Titanium Backup installed you can see if its just disabled. If thats the case you just need to defrost it. Like in the attached screenshot, see if "Android Keyboard" is listed ->

thanks for the info!
and its definetly not there. i think i must have just nuked it from orbit. i honestly cant remember
would it mean anything if those files are already in the system/app folder? I just dl'ed the ES file explorer and was looking at my system/app folder and those 4 files are already there.
Hmm. That means your keyboard is just disabled or something. I suggest you take a backup of your original files first just in case. The attached APK contains the 4.2 Stock Keyboard. This is much better because you just need to open it in ES File Explorer and install like a normal application ->

So tried installing that. I get this message "App not installed: An existing package by the same name with a conflicting signature is already installed"
so i must have done something really messy with it originally. i looked under apps and it is not installed. so what can i remove to install the 4.2 keyboard?
Install "Titanium Backup" from the Play store. Open the app and check if "Android Keyboard" is listed in the "Backup/Restore" tab. It should be listed there if its still on your system. Tap on it once and a popup will show up. Select "Defrost" to reenable it. Reboot and the stock android keyboard should show up now.
If defrost is not listed as an option, just select 'Un-install' and try to install the APK from my previous post again.
Disabled apps are shown in the bottom of the stock all apps list. (I.e. not alphabetical).

Unfortunately, not all system apps are listed there. You won't see 'Android Keyboard' in the stock all apps list.

2. (optional) Install Minuum keyboard for wear to be able to type
3. Install HERE maps on smartphone
4. Download maps and voice on smartphone
5. connect smartphone to computer and pull files using adb:
Code:
adb pull /sdcard/Android/data/com.here.app.maps
6. Disconnect smartphone from computer
7. Connect Smartwatch 3 to computer
8. Install HERE maps on the wear by:
Code:
adb install HERE_beta_220.apk
and run HERE maps once and accept term, etc., swipe from left to dismiss. Not sure if this required, but that's how I've done it.
9. Push maps and other data by issuing from the directory we used to pull maps
Code:
adb push . /sdcard/Android/data/com.here.app.maps
10. Run Nokia Maps on wear!

However, to be able to start navigation we need to change density, otherwise calculated routes do not fit the screen.
To do so use:
Code:
adb shell wm density 160
To reset to default:
Code:
adb shell wm density reset
With density 160 we can use navigation:
Simply Amazing
Here maps on the Sony Smart Watch 3 is simply Amazing.
I love using Here Maps especially coming from a Windows Phone. The Offline maps had saved me numerous times when I get into small towns with little to no service. I am going to have to do this for the watch.
I plan to write an app with ability to change DPI on the fly either on rooted watch itself or from the rooted phone, in last case it will not require rooted watch.

That would be really amazing. The 160 density setting doesn't play nice with my favorite watchface (Weather Watchface).
Anyways, thanks for this great guide!!
Computer doesn't recognize my watch. Anyone can help me please? I'd really like to install Minuum and here maps both. Thanks
Thanks for testing this out! I think DPI can be modified in the APK. I know there is an XPosed module to change DPI for individual apps but I don't know if XPosed runs on Wear. Watch navigation without needing a phone is awesome!

Well, XPosed allows to add hooks on method calls, so DPI changer hooks to app init and overrides what values returned, with cannot be changed in the apk afaik.
And I really do not want to spend time with xposed, especially when we will see Wear 2.0 soon (I hope really soon).
anyone have minuum last apk for wear? I subscribe the newsletter but they didn't send me anithing
How can I uninstall the HERE Maps from the watch? I installed it but it has not working, I was able to delete the dat but I don't know how can I uninstall it... Can you advice me?
Thanks
adb uninstall com.here.app.maps
Thanks for your tuto. HERE map works very well.
It will be great if there is a DPI auto-change app.
Maybe HERE map will have a new release to support SW3 in the near future.
mmm i have some doubts..
i could install here maps on device and mobile..
get maps from mobile to pc..
i plugged in smartwatch and "pushed " files of map and audio back to Smatwatch..
i can't see the map !!! maybe i did the command adb push . /sdcard/Android/data/com.here.app.maps from the same folder where i initially PULLED it..
i didn't go into FILES folder(which is the folder where i have: voices-download and .here-maps )
SECOND... i did push lots of data ( the map even if i can't see it ) if i want to remove it ... how can i do it?
just uninstall heremap will do? or how can i do it ?

Map apps on SW3
First, thanks to XorZone OP for brilliant post.
Both Alpinequest (with older .qct OS and OSM etc maps) and OSMAND work well on the watch. Need to download maps on phone and transfer to SW3 (till it gets wifi!)
- edit
OSMAND doesn't want to work quite with the Lollipop update. Seems to be almost there, but - maps appear with a swipe then disappear, crashes on settings.
Alpinequest seems OK.
Now using BlueGps4Droid_1.2.6.apk for GPS. Watch battery seems a bit small for extended use of GPS.
Anybody tried with OSMAND?
I got th android wear 5.0 update, but i cant see offline maps anymore, I tried reinstalling and sending maps to the watch again, but unsuccessfully
Will redo and test tomorrow on 5.0.

With the release of Android Wear 2.0 beta 3, Google changed the way Wear apps are installed on devices.
So I designed this simple tool to extract the wear compatible apk from already build APK's and install it to wear device via adb.
So what this does is unpack full apk to temp directory on windows and sideload it via adb to the device.
Well is not much, but I felt a tool like this will make things easier to install old Android Wear 2.0 Beta2 and lower, apps to Beta 3 and above devices.

Or I use Solid Explorer (navigate to Collections - Applications - User apps and copy app to sdcard then copy to PC to use it)
Thank you - I have .apk files now, but I can not run your Installer - "System Windows do not have access to device or file ... " ???

I extracted apk files by APK extractor from phone.

I testeded file extracted from Phone and downloaded from APK mirror - same result

http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google...ss-tracking-1-59-15-109-android-apk-download/

google fit is a bit different but I know a way to install it... will test out and release update as soon as it works properly
Super - Now works by many of apps - except of:
Google fit

Google
Multi Calculator

No, install with the watch charger connected to the computer.

you can use external download site like APK Mirror or just Google it, but you can also download the APK from your phone to PC
I personally use the second method
so I use Solid Explorer, navigate to Collections -> Applications -> User apps
here I select all apps that are related to watch (ex: all watch faces, Google Maps, etc) and copy to SD card (you can use internal memory)
from there I move the APK files to PC and use the installer
hope it helps
