Credit goes to kylesum for the working wifi, data & voice service....I just posted the compiled rom to the OP
I used the audio files from this flashable zip to get audio working (you do NOT need to flash this...it's only linked to give credit to the dev who fixed it for nexus s)

Permissions on /system/etc/bluetooth fixed to allow BlueZ to see its config files -- fixes phone calls over a Bluetooth headset, plus lots of other Bluetooth-related functionality.

/system/lib/libjni_mosaic.so copied from Nexus 7 JRN84D image -- panoramic camera now works.
/system/framework/framework-res.apk edited with corrected eri.xml to fix the "data roaming indicator OFF" message"

anyone else who has had a hand in this...sorry if I forgot to mention you

Thank you! One step closer

The files required to fix audio are here, under the service pack one for crespo, but they work on crespo 4g
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28113909&postcount=258
just package the files from service pack one and your rom will have audio!

I knew this would happen. I don't have my NS4G anymore. We were forced to move to Verizon due to budget and coverage issues. So now I'm sporting an HTC Thunderbolt.... It's nice... but it's not my NS4G

This is based on CM9-RC1 yes? Is there a way around adb not having root permissions by default as the option to give it root permission does not exist as it does in CM9?

No, this originates from the ota given to galaxy nexus users at google i/o. It's got absolutely no code from cm at all.

Alright, would you mind helping me out with this then?
Code:
$ adb root
"root access is disabled by system setting - enable in settings -> development options".
EDIT: going to try adb shell su -c su or something.

gonna try this out...

Problem with posting method to "development thread"?

from your phone, open settings -> dev options and check the box to allow root for adb and apps

The option doesn't exist in stock JB. But it's okay, i'm just re-zipping and re-flashing.

Signal/Data Fix
To fix signal and data use a /system/bin/rild and a /system/lib/libril.so from a JB system dump. I also added cdma permissions file from a crespo4g 4.0.4 rom to /system/etc/permissions for good measure, not sure if it makes a difference. Via steven676. If you need more than this i've got the rom in dropbox.

NK Update
NK update is just a new boot image with the kernel I have compiled from Behnaams kernel source. It enables overclocking the device to 710MHz using overclock widget from the market (not included) and hopefully should fix some stability and battery issues, but read more on the kernel itself for info.
You don't need to wipe or anything, just copy to your SD and from recovery, flash the 21NK.zip.
I'm not sure if I have set permissions correctly for the new wlan.ko module that has been compiled for use with this so let me know if wifi doesn't work. (if not, a simple "chmod 644 /system/lib/modules/wlan.ko" should fix it.)

Battery life was too horrid, so I switched to the Legend Build, I'm happy to release the final NeORoM1.3c which was never publically released on the understanding the re will be little to no further support for that build.

They show, yes, whether or not they work remains to be seen because I havn't bought any.
Very nice ROM.
Mostly translated Menus (german), not like the Eris leak.
Its nicely fast and more apps are running stable as in VillainROM 3.4.
I found a little graphic bug after boot when you unlock the SIM card. But its not fatal
It is possible to remove the bootsound? I dont like that.
Oh and Swype (beta leak) is force closing. But it doesn't greatly matter.
Edit.
Here is the little bug
its the same when you setting up your mail account
Edit. Uhh OverclockWidget is also force closing. Could you fix this? would be very nice
Download link is broken . Please upload in another mirror .
Edit: Now working .

++++ EDIT ++++
Never mind, I did not refresh the browser page before posting and did not see that the problem is already known...
Any of the moderators, feel free to delete my post...
==== ORIGINAL POST ====
Just installed the build and it looks good and fast.
But I have the problem that nothing updates or installs from Marketplace. This I tested with both 3G and WiFi. Did a couple of reboots as well, but nothing helped. I checked APN settings and I have Internet and E-mail with both 3G and WiFi. It must be something with the Marketplace client. Any ideas?
Btw, when I make a selection in Marketplace, it shows "Your item will be downloaded" and the downloads animation starts. But then it stops almost right away and disappears so fast that I can't read the message which replaces "Downloading..." under the progress bar.
And last but not least, thanks for your great work.

However, I just have this thing with pwning Motorola Also, I would like to thank Roach from the Transformer team for breaking the back of the smali roadblock. Also, I have to thank Dr1337 from #xoom for making me double check the MediaProvider.apk manifest I hope you guys enjoy this rom. Be sure to read the change log and follow all instuctions when flashing. Thanks

Release Notes
2.0.1 Release Notes
In this release, I have updated the maps application in /system/apps. This will bring maps up to the latest version, but unfortuantly will still not allow future updates from the market. However we are currently working on a fix for this that won't require users to wipe. (Hopefully, no promises).
Also, we listened to our users about the battery icons, and Nusince has drawn use some new ones that are very similar to the ones used in Rom v1.0/1.1 but have been redone to match the new resolution.
I have also included the build.prop installation script again so that the update will flash the correct build.prop, depending on the current one you have installed. So if you have a euro 3g Xoom, your 3g data connection should work perfectly.
You are also able to flash this directly over the top of the 2.0 rom, no need for a wipe or factory reset.
Last, but not least we have 3 new members to Tiamat Xoom. We welcome TDR, Steady Hawkin and lowtraxx to the team, so look forward to some interesting improvements!

Automatically installing applications when you flash the rom:
In the zip file, under the directory "data" there is a directory called "tiamat_first_boot_install". You can place all of your apk files that you want installed when you first boot in there. This is useful for applications such as Thumb Keyboard and Titanium Backup

Tiamat Xoom Rom v1.1 Mod Pack 1 Change Log
Added "Native Screenshot"!
You can now take screenshots with your Xoom. Enable the feature in Settings / Display. To take a screenshot, press and hold the "Recent Apps" button for about 4 seconds. You will get a popup indicating the shot was taken and asking if you would like to keep the service running. The shots can be found in /sdcard/screenshot.
Added "Power Button Reboot Options"
I grabbed this from my buddy Roach`, developer of Prime!1.5 Rom for Transformer. Although i plan on further enhancing this feature, it works for now Press and hold the Power button. Your menu will give the opportunity to power down or reboot into recovery or cancel. It's not bad for first time around. Later, we will have a full featured Shutdown Menu.
Added "Maps won't update" fix
Sorry about that one guys. And yes, to whoever posted it, I should have put Maps.apk in data/app. You get 10 Tiamat Points! Ok. This simply removes Maps.apk from system/app and installs the updated Maps.apk in data/app.
Added "Swype won't download" fix
Changes Browser UAString in framework-res.apk from modded Desktop default to Mobile default. This is needed to download Swype from their network. Install Mod Pack 1 first and reboot. Then go back into recovery and flash the Swype fix. One you have Swype up and running. Go back into recovery and flash Mod Pack 1 again if you wish to return to Desktop default UAString. If you wish to stay on Mobile default, no further action is needed.

NOTE: I apologize to themers out there, but this pack does contain a modified framework-res.apk. I had to add some strings for the reboot mod. You should be able to get away with just grabbing the resources.arcs and dropping into you're themed fw-res.

How to remove:
Remove the files from system/app with an app like root explorer AFTER you flash the rom
Use ADB and this command "adb rm /system/app/app.apk" AFTER you flash the rom
At this time, I would not recommand removing BEFORE flashing the rom, as it will break setupwizard (this can be disabled in the build.prop)
Below is a list of apps i have removed and what they are for:

Running it now and so far so good. Did have to wipe data but at least it feels like a fresh start.
2 things I have seen so far
1. Edit: No reboot needed just remove and reinsert the sdcard and its back.
Once I unmount the Sdcard I have to reboot to remount it.
2. This is the quickest boot time I have seen yet by far.

Release Notes
2.1.0 Release Notes
Here we are, release 2.1 "Hammerhead".
Thanks to the hard work of lowtraxx, we have been able to fix all of the layout issues with regards to the broken framework-res that we had to use in the last rom.
Lowtraxx has also fixed up all of the european 3g device files and languages, so the signal bar should work fine on your euro 3g device now.
I have also resolved the issues with the Google app updates. However for this fix, you need to wipe your device before you install the rom.
Making a come back in this release is the native screenshot feature. To enable this, go into Settings > Display and then enable "Screenshot". To take a screenshot, hold down the recent applications key to take a screenshot.

Yes, it works on my EU Xoom.
I see that the 2.1 ROM is showing support for OpenVPN. Is this any different to the support provided in the 2.0.1 ROM?
I am using 2.0.1 and have never found out how to use OpenVPN with it. Can anyone offer advice on this? In Windows implemenattion of OpenVPN, there is a conf file that needs to be edited to suit local requirements. Although I have found the OpenVPN app in 2.0.1, I don't see any sign of a conf file.
Thank you

okay this rom work for Singapore's version as well, however steps in

Installation instructions
BACKUP YOUR DATA (using CWM)
Verify that your backup is complete - a backup of your sdcard may also be a good idea (see below)
Verify that you are running hboot 1.26 or newer (hboot 1.39 is recommended)
Download the ZIP and the boot.img (see Downloads)
Copy the .zip to your sdcard and reboot into fastboot
fastboot flash boot boot.img, then boot into recovery
WIPE your phone (this is not optional)
Install the .zip and reboot
Upgrading
You can always upgrade to a newer version without wiping any data, formatting system or wiping the cache.
But keep in mind that you must always flash boot.img + re-flash gapps after upgrading

First release with Linux 3.1.10. Note that you MUST upgrade your hboot to 1.3x (1.2 versions may work - any feedback is appreciated, but any version < 1.2 will NOT work - your phone will freeze during deepsleep!)
Mounting USB-OTG devices on 4.2 is somewhat tricky as filesystems are not shared with 'parent' processes - using some userspace app like 'Nexus Photo Importer' is recommended
Switched to ondemand govenor as the old 'interactive' is broken in HTCs Linux 3.1.10 source drop (doesn't make a big difference)

FAQ
I can not upgrade my hboot to 1.3x, help!
You can still run RC13:
This was the last release using Linux 2.6 and will therefore work on older hboot versions. RC13 is stable enough for everyday-use.
What kernel should i use?
Use the stock kernel from boot.img - there is nothing wrong with it. Using a different boot.img or/and kernel will just break stuff.

For people wondering:
Although its an AOSP build it does have multi-user support which originally is only available on tablets in AOSP ( users can be added in settings )
Will try it as soon as links posted, thanks for your work! Can't wait for some of the important things like camera to work.
Will have to give this one a shot. Looks very interesting, even though there's some major flaws. Official CM10 has never been stable on the HOX, so looking for alternatives. AOSP might be the solution, in the long run (not currently in that state ).
Good luck with the upcoming work, attempts, hacks, tweaks etc.!
EDIT:
1. You can add NFC to the list of working things. Just tested it with a tag.
2. The performance of the ROM seems very snappy and nice. Just because of it I had to take a few benchmark tests, and yeah, the ROM performs! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Api2mSgk7cfUdENKWWVqNnUyS013dnJpMGxNQXZxeEE (oops, wasn't made public at first)
Generally about Android 4.2 and its new quick settings (QS):
I wonder why Google doesn't allow us to reorder the grid (by long pressing on the items, much like on their launcher; folders). Would be great if one could add or remove buttons too. Personally I'd like to add GPS + NFC and remove 'Airplane mode'. When tapping on the items their respective activities is started. Convenient sometimes, but it makes QS pretty much useless... On/Off toggling would've been the preferred way I think. Much like how the Airplane mode button works... it doesn't even ask the user if the device should be put in airplane mode (which I think is pretty vital).

Keep up the good work Gentleman
Definitely wanna try, but will probably wait until it's a little more stable.
Needed to rename rc0.boot_img to rc0boot.img (really any .img name would work) but otherwise booting fine straight over the top of latest CM10 nightlies. I'm no dev, but love being on the bleeding edge

To everyone:
Please feel free to post bug reports ( if not already mentioned in the first post by pabx ) and in case of a crash a logcat would be great

Where do we find the Email app, for non-Gmail mail? I do see the Exchange apk, but no Email apk. Should we use the one from 4.1, or does 4.2 have a new mail client app? Thanks for the awesome work too by the way; so far this is actually impressively stable for a preview (known issues aside, and more testing to be done)!
Compiled the new Email app from source... I guess you can just push it to /system/app.
I have not been able to test it yet though, so i cant say if its 100% working

thank you!! i will try it once the camera works. :good:
First off, thanks for the rom - always great to try the newest version of android!
I found a bug with google now, it doesn't show me any cards relating to my location, it says that I need to turn on googles location services but they're already on.

This is a known issue (see first post -> location services) and is already fixed in the git version.
We will probably release a new build that includes the fix today or tomorrow.
I have the feeling that the dpi is slightly off. On the lockscreen for example the widget area is bigger than the screen and The numberpad to enter the pin is cramped together. (I have no better way to explain it. Sorry)
Awesome guys keep on going will flash this one as soon as camera is fully functional as I really need it for work !!:good::good::good::good:
