[ROM][29July2013] mROM v4.0 JSS15J - stock 4.3 + GAPPS, MOD(s), etc. - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Here is a 4.3 ROM built from AOSP source designed to emulate what a Verizon 4.3 ROM would be like. The changes from AOSP include the addition of GAPPS, addition of Verizon apps, appropriate binaries so everything works, addition of busybox, correct eri.xml, home screen layout to mimic a stock ROM, and the removal of the tethering restriction. The ROM is not pre-rooted, so flash Chainfire's SuperSU if you want root.
As usual, flash at your own risk and post any successes or problems.

SuperSU v1.51 - you may want to check for a more recent version if this link becomes outdated. Flash after you flash the ROM.
Bugs - text-to-speech may not work correctly. Please flash fix attached to this post after flashing the ROM. Thanks AndroJak!
MODS:
Extended Power Menu - CM style
- Ability to reboot, hot reboot, reboot recovery, & reboot bootloader.
- Replaces /system/framework/android.policy.jar
- Thanks to Cyanogenmod and xIC-MACIx
- DOWLOAD
- MIRROR
Thanks to mmuzzy for help building from aosp (fixing t-cdma64 in eri.xml and cell broadcasts menu, plus other stuff I'm probably forgetting), adrynalyne, and djp952 for help building from AOSP.

My attempt was to make a stock rooted ROM for Verizon based off of the 4.1.1 source on AOSP. Some things are still added to this rom from 4.0.4 IMM76K Verizon ROM, but I did include the new binaries for toro. I haven't fully tested everything, but camera, google now, gps, and wifi all work as expected. I'll try to get some add-on's / mods before too long and have them posted as flashable .zips.

Here we go!!!!!

Is Google Now working? I know mmuzzy was having issues on his AOSP ROM. Either way, I'll give 'er a test once the download links are available.

Download for 1 server is ready now. I'll get a mirror up as well.

Yes, it's working. I asked it how long a bridge was and it read the answer back to me. I haven't done much more than that though yet.

Downloading. Looking forward to this. Thanks Mwalt for sharing!!!
Quick DL as well. 2 minutes has got to be a new record for a JB rom

excellent. you're a regular johnny on the spot!

downloading now, hope its all good! i'm looking for a "stock jb" style rom of the newest update. ill post my outcome shortly. going to test the basics that are supposed to work.

Is a flash to the JB bootloader recommended? Finally, a build that seems to have all/most components working! No issues with the 4G's or the LTE's?? Lol.

Downloading now. Any thoughts on current JB kernel compatibility?

i wiped data, cache and dalvik cache 2x each, installed and installed trinity kernel on top and hit reboot. (i like trinity for the colors and such, and good battery life ).
first boot took a minute.
updating some apps and gonna test some things.
still getting t-cdma 64 as a carrier

I've always used stock, so I can't really comment. Now that source is out, I'd expect the JB kernels to work better.

No sure what causes this, but I've never seen it with this build or the previous developer preview build. Did it happen on first boot before you installed anything else?

I'd recommend a full factory reset, but people can try what they feel comfortable with. Personally, I did a factory reset, wiped both caches, and then flashed the ROM (with TWRP).

Do you have any on your sdcard partition in the Ringtones folder? If not, I'd check \system\media\audio path (subfolders for ringtones, alarms, etc). Delete any duplicates you find in there. I don't have any duplicates and there aren't any in the rom.zip I uploaded.

just overwrote mms.apk in system/apps to get the custom pink mms, and got a quick reboot to my boot screen, this never happened on 4.1 roms that weren't source, don't know if this is normal because i replaced the app and it was a one time thing (i hope). as far as going to system/media/ringtones, i see them but there arent any doubles, however theres doubles when i go to select a ringtone from the menu, for everything system related, ringtones and notifications.

What issues have people had? Any boot issues?

I replaced the "stock" keypress ogg files from ics/jelly bean that sound better with this 4.1.1 release, the new key click sounds are horrible. works fine. i used to have t-cdma 64 with any build from 4.1.1 there is a fix that works that ill just apply. its a xml file or something.

Yes, restore your wallet that works. The AOSP wallet does not work.
You need the hacked Wallet.
Which is: http://www.multiupload.com/CPVXPXF6VH
I backed up and gave this a shot. It seemed to install fine, but I didn't realize I needed gapps as a seperate zip. I'm downloading one now that I'm going to try. If apps update I'll be pretty happy. Can I restore app data from a 402 rom?
I'm really looking forward to 403, but I'm worried about committing to a rom before the OTA is out to base it on.
Edit: The gapps installed, but market force closes when I try to install dropbox so I can install titanium... I think I'm going to go back to 402 for now.

I would not restore things from 4.02 to 4.03.
This is a very stable 4.0.3 rom with working wallet and everything working.

[ROM][AOSP][CDMA] gorilla_toro-AOSP-v1 4.0.3 UPDATE 1/2/11

JUST ANOTHER AOSP BUILD!
This is an AOSP Build of 4.0.3 I have made basically no changes as of right now. I have fixed tethering and market restore. I plan to add some useful modifications in the future.
Gapps-403_signed.zip
md5sum cf82c67056c31101cfed0f936cac29c1
Gorilla-toro_AOSP_v1.1.zip
md5sum 9ce8af2122bd743862c0aa6d49bed97d
Full wipe if coming from any other ROM. Especially if they have made framework changes.
Use my gapps if you want to make sure market restore works. These are the same as the latest that are floating around I just included google backup transport apk in mine.
Google Wallet - download the unmodified apk. Install as usual after full wipe. Seems to work, I haven't used it recently though.
Kernel - Stock for now.
Also I can't check any of the NFC stuff because I don't know anyone else with an NFC enabled phone.
Big thanks to everyone as usual, CM Team, RootzWiki, RootzBoat, Birdman, Pete of Bugless Beast fame, I looked at all of their vendor make files to figure out how to set those up.
Source Code: Google AOSP 4.0.3 Master Branch - my changes will uploaded tonight when I get off work to my github.
Post any issues that you notice. I don't expect many though since it is currently a pure AOSP build.
MD5 Sums are correct now.
Facebook Sync fixed, added reboot recovery menu.
Google wallet works. Do a fresh install of Google Wallet after wiping.
I am working on the camera panorama mode.
Reserved one more time
Post on Rootzwiki?
I shall later today. I want to get my source uploaded to my github. Otherwise I will get hear a lot of whining..as in source, source, source..... Just here for now. Upload there tonight or in the morning.
Thanks for this. I've been looking for a mostly-stock 4.0.3 ROM.
This is EXACTLY what I have been looking for! Thank you!
My only reservation is that I really don't want to wipe my device as I've only recently got everything sorted the way I wanted it on my phone. Is there a quick and dirty way to unlock the tethering capabilities with ADB or Root Explorer? Or is that part of the framework that would have to be properly flashed with the installation of a new ROM like this one?
It is part of the Frameworks. It is built into the system. There is no quick and dirty way. You could do a titanium back up and restore everything after the flash. The changes are minimal and should not affect anything from another build. I suppose there could be problems if you restore from 4.02 to 4.03 but you can always Nandroid and try it if you like.
Going to post an update today. It will have working FB sync and a file manager built in from CM otherwise no changes.
do i install this with CWM? can someone tell me how to install this?
I'll be checking this one out soon, been waiting for an all stock 4.0.3
A couple quick questions:
Is it rooted?
Does it have busybox?
Is it deodexed?
On a side note, the md5sums you have listed, are the same for both files
Does anyone else get a force close when using panorama mode in the camera?

I sure do. Tried to fix permissions to see if that would help to no avail.
Can you rent and watch movies from the market? Each rom I try, it seems either tethering is unlocked, or you can rent and watch movies. I would love a rom where I can do both.
I am now working on Panorama mode. Just found that it force closes, because I never use it. The current release has the Facebook fix, thanks to team kang, also I added in a reboot recovery menu. Otherwise it is stock with working tethering.
I will let you know when I see why panaorma isn't working.
Thanks. I don't use Panorama much, but it's nice to have the feature available.
I will post an update to fix the camera it is simply due to a couple of missing libs that I didn't add to the extract.sh script. I will also fix it and post the updated rom tonight. I am not sure about movies from the market. I think that has something to do with rooted devices and googles agreements with the copyright holders. Probably due to piracy concerns.
Let me know if you notice any other bugs. There really shouldn't be many since it is basically a pure AOSP build.

While you're fixing the panoramic camera, would you be able (and willing) to add back the original live wallpapers and ringtones? Or if not in the build itself, perhaps a separate flashable zip file that would add them back? I tried (and failed) to modify your ROM with these original files added back in and, of course, I only got a bootloop.
If you need the files, I can adb pull them for you and zip them up easily.
Thanks again for your awesome ROM.

Working pdroid patches [currently AOKP(toro+maguro), stock AOSP, cm9]

I'm using this thread to share working pdroid patches I've got for various Galaxy Nexus roms. This was made using the patcher being developed here (patcher is in the 4th post). The patcher is currently linux-only, but will also work with cygwin in windows. I'm posting the finished flashable zip here as a convenience to anyone who can't use it themselves. Please note that I am not one of the people actively developing this patcher, just a willing tester who happens to own a toro Gnex.
If you don't know what Pdroid is, this is the thread for it on xda. Basically, it lets you deny permissions to apps on a per-permission basis, without risking apps crashing. Same basic idea as LBE privacy guard, but in my opinion executed better. Plus, open source is always a plus. Even though the official patcher there won't work for us yet, check the official thread. You'll need to download the app from the market and follow the same instructions, just using the zips I'll post here (or make your own).
I'll include a revert.zip for anything I post here, but please note that I take no responsibility for anything that happens to your phone. Make backups before flashing things. Try TWRP if you haven't, it's faster at backup/restore than CWR and does a bunch of other neat stuff like compressed backups and queued zip flashing. Also, in case of things breaking, please note that these revert zips are (1) only going to work if you are running the same rom used to create the zip and (2) just a slimmed down version of the rom's zip. What this means is that if you flash a pdroid zip and you need to revert, the surest thing to do is just re-flash your rom without wiping anything.
I'll try to update this thread as I get more patches working. Here's where my own experiments stand:
Link to my dropbox folder with files, notes below
Working patches:
-AOKP b39 (toro):
-AOKP b39 (maguro):
-CM9 Nightly: Patched build: 2012/06/19
--Note: Not sure if these will automatically fail with later nightlies or only when something relevant is updated in the rom. Feel free to try, just reflash your rom if it bootloops.
-Stock AOSP(+root, busybox): Patched build: 2012/06/02
-Paranoid Android v1.4a
Not Working (Yet):
-Liquidsmooth 1.5RC4:
-Slim ICS 4.0:
Unless otherwise noted, these are all for the toro (verizon) Galaxy Nexus. It's pretty quick and easy for me to make new patches so feel free to request something. But please be aware that sometimes it's a few days between when I can devote any time to this and don't be offended if I don't reply to you right away.
Just to reiterate, all you need to do for this is download the "Pdroid Patch Zip" file for your rom, flash it in recovery, and download Pdroid from Google Play.
Finally, be aware that the first boot after flashing can take a very long time, without any indication like the "Android is Upgrading..." screen. Don't assume it's bootlooping! Seriously, put the phone down and do something else for a bit. Anything in the tested section I've either personally flashed on my phone or someone else reported as working. If you're sure you're getting a bootloop on a clean install, my only advice is to do a full revert to stock and re-unlock/root/etc and see if it works then. Though rare, it is possible for something to be corrupt that persists across the usual "clean install" routine.
Isn't that what Permissions Denied does?

For gsm you'd need a new patch. There are instructions in the first thread I linked to if you'd like to try it out. I might make one in a bit since I expect that to be a popular request and I expect it to work.

Same idea, different approach. Permissions denied generally causes apps to crash if they need info that they are denied. I also had a major issue with it a while back that I ended up doing a factory reset for, but I think that's been fixed since then.
Not sure how pdroid gets around apps fc'ing (maybe it spoofs data so apps go on running normally? It has an option to set your own values I haven't played with much), but it works very smoothly.

Quick update, I put up a maguro for AOKP, and I also updated the OP quite a bit since I last posted. Finally got around to testing the patches I made; getting better at reading the patching process as well to tell when a patch will work before flashing it, too.
At far as updates go, I don't really intend to follow the cm9 nightlies as I don't run them myself. I'll probably continue to try new versions of AOKP and paranoid android as they come out. I'll continue to try the roms that don't patch yet with new versions of the patcher as they are released.
Thank you. The maguro patch works for me.
Edit: not sure, but this likely breaks 2 apps: Listen, Drive.
I've been using LBE Privacy to control permissions and this app doesn't crash apps that have permissions blocked. It's one of their selling points, doesn't crash apps.

PDroid source has been released, whilst LBE created by a 'suspect' chinese company. I put the suspect in inverted comma's because nothing has actually been proven.
The patch works a treat on GSM aokp, many thanks
edit: looking at it though, it seems it doesn't find all the permissions correctly. I am assuming this is a limitation of the current pdroid as it is not designed for ics.
For instance it does not find hardware controls. Google Drive has access to hardware controls to take photos/videos.
Thanks for the confirmations on the maguro zip, I edited the post to reflect that it's definitely working.
I hadn't heard of LBE before making these threads but from what I've read it seems like people generally prefer pdroid. I'll check it out at some point but it looks like it does a bit more than I'd want it to, and pdroid being open source is definitely a plus.
IIRC, there's certain instances where apps can bypass LBE but not PDroid. I think reboot is one of those times due to when LBE loads.
I've been running LBE but lately the service keeps stopping because it doesn't get root soon enough after boot. Trying this now on Paranoid. Thanks!

I'm guessing you are running a different build/more recent nightly? I might take that link down as it was meant as more of a proof of concept if the cm9 patcher was working and it's unlikely anyone is going to be flashing that particular build just to test pdroid.
The most effective thing would be to just re-flash the original rom's zip, you don't need to wipe anything. The revert zip file is basically just four files copied from a given rom's original zip, services.jar, core.jar and framework.jar in /system/framework, and build.prop in /system.

I hadn't heard of pdroid until I was on the Nexus, so I'm not familiar with it to compare, but I'm currently using LBE and blocking its data connections with Droidwall. Perhaps a bit overkill... but works great as far as I can tell.

If the patch doesn't work for you, pull the battery, then hold volume up and down while you hold power, then use volume up and down to get to recovery option--press power to select. Either flash the revert or the old from there on top of the non-working one. Don't clear data partition and you won't lose anything.
@Joesyr, I think there is some interest in CM9 nightly patches...would you mind making a CM9 patch maybe once a week? I haven't had any luck making the patch on my own.

Well the last cm9 nightly I tried didn't patch at all (I believe it was a 5/29 build). I will try tinkering with things as I get the time but I'm not really at the level of fully understanding these kinds of failures yet.
Next time there's an updated cm9 patch I will try to get a working pdroid zip and I'll consider weekly updates. I'm also generally willing to make these on request as it's a pretty quick process. Fiddling with dropbox links is probably the longest part of any of this.
Any particular issue you're having with the patcher? I've been thinking I could write a little tutorial for getting cygwin up and running since I imagine that for most people the limiting factor is just that they don't have a linux environment to work in. But until I get the time to do that I can help troubleshoot.
Can you make a patch for stock root.
Thx
Has anybody experienced random rebooting? All was fine until I opened a non system app. Then it just started rebooting randomly after opening any app. I ran it on Maguro with AOKP b37.

Yup, not sure if the rom I just put up is the same you were looking for but it's the first one I've been able to get to patch correctly with the aosp patch.
Just flashed the Toro AOKP b37 patch, tested and working great here. Thank so much! Awesome work!!

[4.0][ICS][ROM]Mackay CM9 2014 1.7 (25-mar-14)

Because of all the slowdowns in kitkat, I decided to give ICS another try.
Specs:
-Based on CyanogenMod 9
-With Mackay kernel (updated to 3.0.101, updated governors & schedulers, XL RAM some other nice stuff):
https://github.com/kasperhettinga/samsung-kernel-aries/commits/mackay-cm9-2014
-TWRP 2.2.2.0
-no 720p possible, XLMem (do not ask for other flavours, I just make a one-flavour option tuned for smoothness)
Download:
https://s.basketbuild.com/devs/kasperhettinga/sgs/rom/pre-KK//
Gapps:
http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip
This are the latest official gapps. Newer gapps can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.om/showpost.php?p=50748003&postcount=135
(I haven't tested this package, I also don't think latest gapps is relevant, as gapps get updated through Play Store anyway)
Install:
-From existing CM9: install on top + flash gapps
-From any jellybean ROM: you can try to install it on top, but it may result in bootloops, requiring flashing GB through Odin (see below for next steps). Flash ROM. Flash gapps.
-From stock Samsung GB: install CF-ROOT-CWM kernel, or any other CWM containing kernel. Flash ROM. Flash gapps.
You need to flash gapps on every new build, backup/restore of gapps does not work yet!
If you have space issues, you can use a solution to bind /datadata to /data partition:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50653795&postcount=55
THIS IS NOT AN ADVICE TO DO THIS! I do not like this solution, as it will slow down your phone (especially with the slow internal memory chip). And it goes against my lean & mean philosophy for this ROM. Therefore: please think well before doing this!

Are there any cherrypicks from CM10/11 or other aosp based builds to this interesting project?
woah .! ?
Few bugs:
1. About Phone - CM Upader = FC Settings
2. Preformence = No schedular option
Runs smooth and excellent.
great works great perfomance

Wow, that was totally unexpected! Thank you very much! @kasper_h I was wondering: does your rom use the older partition layout, that was introduced in ics, which caused datadata to be full, or the jb one? It would be awesome if you switched to the newer partition layout *.*

No, i want to keep the ROM simple and light-weight.

1 will solve in future update
2 ics never had. Requires more than a single patch I believe.

You remember it wrong
ICS always had a small system & small datadata partition, both on the fast Onenand. This was actually the fastest layout I ever worked with. The changes in layout all happened in jellybean. And I will not start using jellybean partition layouts: I strive for speed and simplicity, which fits perfectly with the ICS layout.

@kasper_h I have 3 questions:
1. No 720p support at all or only 720p recording is disabled but 720p playback still works?
2. If there's no Performance->Scheduler option in ICS, can schedulers be selected using other ways?
3. zRAM , KSM are still there ? (sorry I am used to your KK kernel)
Ty!

1. 720 playback should work, but I didn't check and I don't have my phone here now
2. Yes, any cpu tuning app like nstools can be used
3. zRAM is on the to-do list, KSM should already work

Alright then I have a problem though: I can't donwload any apps from the Play Store, also, it won't update itself. The error I get when I try to download something is 403
WOOOHOO!
My dreams came true, it actually happened!
You know, I was testing out CM9 a few times and I noticed huge improvements in smoothness and stuff like that, but the most impressive thing that I realised was that the chrome browser was not lagging at all! I think this means something!
I just have a few questions:
Is it possible to port CMA here? (it's not really necessary, I'm just wondering)
Aaand what about all those super cool features from Omni ROMs? Is there any way to port those? (again it's not necessary at all, I'm just asking)
Anyway I hope the development of this ROM will continue. Going to install this right away! :good: :good:
If you'll continue working on this ROM and we'll continue using it, we can make together the fastest and the best ROM ever made for our SGS, I believe!
The guys. Collect this ROM for Vibrant. Please!
Wow, our aging i9000 gets an encore ICS build!
What a joy! I will try!
I have a question regarding my old official CM9 nandroid backup done with Semaphore 1.3.0: is it worth trying to advanced restore only its data with Sema 1.3.0 to this ROM, and then flash this ROM over it to retain Mackay kernel back and my beloved TWRP with it?

Google Play Store is not updating itself aswell. Got the same problem with 403 . Coming from Android 4.4.2, I've flashed an Android 4.3.1 kernel, reboot to recovery, flashed CM9 twice, full wipe with system format, flashed Mackay CM9 and ICS gapps. Full wiped and system format, flashed the ROM again with gapps and the 403 error was still there. Then I've tried to go back to CM11 and the 403 error persisted.
Went back to stock GB and rooted it using Odin3 and then flashed Mackay CM9 and ICS gapps, now 403 is not showing up but another error appeared (921) and I've tried to clear data for Download Manager, Google Play Store, Google Services Framework, removed my Google Account and rebooted. Then I've re-added the Google Account and now the 403 error reappeared.
@kasper_h got any ideas ?

-CMA is not worth it, would hardly give more free RAM.
-Due to major overhauls in Android between ICS->JB->KitKat it will be nearly impossible to port anything back. Also, my motto for this ROM is lean & mean.

My play store is working and was updated automatically. I could manually install apps, and some gapps (TTS, Search) were updated fine as well. Maybe try deleting Play Store data, as that seems like the best way in any Android revision to solve Play Store issues.

That didn't work for me.
I tried to:
-delete Play Store data
-reflash rom & gapps
-manually update Play Store & then try to install apps, delete Play Store data

Now I'm trying another gapps package.
EDIT: Success! The updated 4.0.4 gapps package from this thread works for me: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2294152

Slimbean for Locked Bootloaders built from latest sources

Update Posted September 26 2014:
Numerous fixes and additions:
Added Slimbean Extras including Email, Exchange2, Launcher2, Music2 and VideoEditor
Camera delay is positively fixed - absoultely no delay
Removed FM radio which does not work
Instructions:
I always prefer fresh install.
You may try, if you wish and if you already have the previous version, to flash this on top;
If you are doing fresh install, see original instructions (full wipe).
P.S. When you boot for the first time, you will get:
1. Notificaiton that email app stopped (disregard it, the app will work without any further messages)
2. Notification that SU binary should be updated: follow instructions
Regarding bootloops: Do a fresh install, which is always preferred. Also, remember, custom roms based on Cyanogen want all system apps signed by the same key. If you have SU or any other app that you installed in the system (and then flash update on top) that means that those apps are signed by different keys, which would result in a bootloop during subsequent updates. Do research and learn about not messing with system apps. Neither SU nor any other app needs to be installed in system. Also, the same applies if you decompile and mess with a system app - once you re-compile the app, you'll have to sign it and your key is different, which again means bootloop.
Also remember that this rom is designed to work with Stock JB 4.1.2 kernel only. If you have an unlocked bootloader and custom kernel, you will get bootloop and/or other issues
Before posting this update, I reformatted my phone and did a fresh install: no issues. You know what it means: I don't want to hear about bootloops.
____________________________________________________________________________
Rom checked on my device: boots 100% in about 25 seconds. Just re-uploaded. This might have been an issue of a corrupt upload.
Slimbean latest release built from sources on September 6, 2014. This is for IONs with locked bootloaders. This is not Kitkat, it is based on JB 4.1.2, which is ages more stable.
Changes:
1. Open source Launcher Advanced (one of few open launchers)
2. Terminal and FM radio added (were missing in original release by Olivier)
3. Battery/Wifi fixes incorporated in code prior to building
4. Radio menu fixed (now when you dial *#*#4636#*#* and go to phone, you no longer get F/C)
5. Default network changed to LTE
The phone seems snappier than with the original release, perhaps because the rom was built on Gentoo, which is the best Linux around. But maybe it is just placebo. You decide.
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Be rooted, have Recovery and JB 4.1.2 kernel
2. Enter recovery, wipe System/Data/Cache (remember factory reset is not enough)
3. Flash the rom, reboot and let it settle, which shouldn't take long
4. Enjoy and press thank you or perhaps donate...

Thanks for the rom. I just flashed it and rebooted.. the screen is stuck on the slimbean logo for over 10 minutes.. the slimbean logo is flashing normally as if its about to load. You think something went wrong and I should interrupt it?
EDIT: So i interrupted after about 12 minutes by holding power and volume up keys and entered twrp to go back to previous rom. Will try back later.

Rom re-uploaded: works fine
I checked the rom and it boots on my ION fine. Re-uploaded. This might have been an issue of a corrupt upload.
Downloading, will try tomorrow after school is out. Thank you Optimum you and your damn roms tempt me as much as i tell myself to stick to stock after CM10 had quite a few issues on my end i guess.
Also on a side note if you need mirrors, I can make two or three.
Can we have kitkat like notification quick settings in this rom ?

Ok, I'm slowly catching on. I switched from iPhone a couple of months ago and had gotten an HTC One which I unlocked the boot loader, did the S-Off and rooted. I run AOKP on that phone and the xperia was a backup to carry when I'm running or cycling. As it turns out, my wife's iPhone is messing up so I've put a sense rom back on the One. She likes getting that feed screen and all. Now the Xperia is my main phone. I guess Honami is the Sony equivalent of proprietary like sense is to HTC.
I've found I like the Sony's and will probably replace the HTC with a Z1 or Z1 compact but I need to do some research as unlocking the boot loader is a requirement. It wasn't so important on the ion due to its purpose, plus I couldn't find an I or H at a reasonable price.
I realize I've gotten wordy and a touch off topic and apologize.
I'll keep my eyes out for a camera and as for the multi tasking, I forgot there's an xposed app that may allow some multi tasking.
I really do appreciate the ROM and am especially grateful to the dev of this rom for making it usable on a locked boot loader.
