capdase lamina soft TPU case - Galaxy S III Accessories

Seen some murmurs of this case here and there but no posts, so I figured I'd leave my impressions. Got it here
http://www.mobimega.com/capdase-soft-jacket-lamina-ultra-thin-case-for-galaxy-s3-i9300.html
I've been looking for a thinner case that covers the top and the bottom of the phone, so the SGP, case mate, Rearth, etc were out.
Got the capdase lamina case today to replace my Diztronic TPU case. My beef with the diztronic is that it just added too much bulk to the phone
The capdase lamina is the same soft material as the Diztronic but its much thinner(supposed to be 0.75mm according to the box). Its completely clear except for the capdase logo embossed on the back. In the end it does exactly what I want it to: thinner and lighter than the Diztronic, but the same protection. The only downside is it does cover the power and volume buttons in TPU and takes away all the clickiness, but its still usable
This case does have a lip on the front so you can set your phone down without messing up the screen(I still use a screen protector though)
Sorry only camera I got right now is the phone so pics of the case on the phone will come later tonight

I am currently using the capdase Xpose. It isn't 0.75 mm thin but it is still a lot thinner than the Distronic. Great case because it is TPU but feels just as soft as the silicon part or the SGP Neohybrid.
I am waiting until my SGP Modello gets here for the final showdown for my daily driver case. Or at least until I see something else that catches my eye.

Hey guys! Is there any way I could get some pics (and opinions) on this case? I would love to see what it actually looks like on the phone. I have the pebble blue GS3 and would like to see that, but any pictures would be awesome. Also, what are your impressions after having the case for a while?
Thanks in advance!

TPU Case Review for I9100

I just got this case from eBay for around $5 USD and I am so impressed with it I had to write a quick review. I think the name brand is Fusion.
-The fit of the case is just perfect. Very snug.
-The thickness is just enough to protect the camera lens and screen without adding much bulk.
-The sides of the case have a nice texture to make it very easy to grip.
-The TPU material doesn't attract lint and is very easy to slide in and out of your pocket.
-All of the holes match up fine.
-The buttons on the sides of the phone are covered but in my opinion this makes the pressure required just right so you don't accidentally press them.
The only negative at all is that the hole for the headphone jack may be too small for some plugs. The Samsung headphones and my Bose headphones fit just fine though. (Update: My Bose speakers I had to trim a little plastic off of the audio cable but it fits fine now.)
Here is the eBay link if anybody wants one. This guy shipped one to me in 2 days in the US.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Clear-Fusion-Samsung-Galaxy-S2-i9100-TPU-COVER-CASE-/260780906673?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3cb7c0d8b1
If you're willing to wait a few days more, you can get them for 2,5$ in Dealextreme.
I have exactly the same one, purchased for £2.95 off ebay in the UK, and I would agree with all the points outlined above.
bought two of them from Dealextreme, but in black color, best TPU
Do they make them in matte black?
I ordered a similar one from eBay on the 14th, and it arrived today. Fits pretty well and leaves a bit of a bumper around the display, adding a bit of protection.

I believe I saw a matte black on Dealextreme. Most of the black ones I've seen are part matte, part glossy.

Hard to tell from the image, but isnt that simply a hole in the case where they camera lense is, so offers no protection for the lens at all??
Its an impossible task trying to find a case that offers protection for the camera.. they are so hi spec and good quality these days, the last thing you want is muck or scratches on the optics.. surely a case designer can be innovative enough to design some sort of sliding cover....
I purchased the Black one as well. However, the glossy part scratches too easily. Handle with care.
Well i've both the TPU case (but it's all black) and the Samsung case:
http://www.happybirthdaytoyou.com/bmcdigital/SS-I9100-VENT-BLK-1.jpg
I've tryed both, and i really prefer the samsung one, the tpu case attracts way too much dust, while the samsung case it's a lot easier to clean. The dust on the tpu case pile up on the sides, and from there it's a hell to remove it.

It's true, that was my experience with this TPU case as well. Dust would pile up on the edges of the screen and under the TPU lining. I'd have to constantly take off the TPU case and wipe the screen to keep my SGS2 nice and pretty. With the official Samsung vent case i can simply wipe the screen clean in one go without taking off the case. Sure, the official case offers less protection, but it also preserves the form and weight of the phone quite well, whereas the TPU case adds significant weight and thickness to the phone in comparison.
I just got a few of these delivered from buyaccess. Delivered in a week and they fit like a glove. Nice ridge around the screen so it won't scratch if you put it face down and extra grip on the sides.
€2 each and free shipping you cannot go wrong. Link to the sellar if anybody wants it.

these cases look really nice, i might have to buy one to try.
bought one thanks for the heads up !
Ordered one of each, thanks for the heads up.
THE PRIME GT-I9250
I ordered the TPU case. I read some reviews of Nillkin cases in the other phone forums and they were very good.
I ordered one but cancelled after they quoted 3-6 weeks delivery time! I don't know what's going on with China these days, the last few times I ordered things it took forever. They do look beautiful - the textured back looks grippy.
Had a couple of Nillkin cases for my SGS2 they were fine. These should be as good as those.
How come the TPU has no cutout for the volumerocker?
What advantages has the TPU over the hardcase?

TPU case is similar to a "gel" or silicone case. I like it because it covers the top and bottom of the phone where the hardcase doesn't
I just bought a One X and two cases:
Nillkin TPU and hard case.
I hope everything will arrive today! But maybe just this weekend
I would image the TPU cases don't have cutouts because you don't need a cutout with such soft rubber. But that's just a guess. (for now!)

Probably no cutout because you can press them through a case.
In order to protect your phone when you drop it, a case has to slow your phone down gradually and absorb the force of the impact when it hits the pavement which is what a soft case does. A hard case just transfers that force straight to the phone so they're almost useless if you drop it. Hard cases are for preventing scratches only... but then if you get a grain of sand inbetween the case and the phone, it will make more scratches than if you didnt have it.

And a TPU case prevents the grain of sand getting there?
Also i'm guessing that if you press the rocker through the case you won't feel any 'click'?
some TPU cases have the click feel to it and some have a thicker TPU casing which doesn't have the click feel. I purchased a TPU case off of HandheldItems and the power/volume buttons all have a click feel to them.

Probably a better chance than a hard case since the soft cases tend to wrap around the phone more completely, and end up flush against the phone body with no gap.

Nillkin case.
i got a nillkin hard case in white and i have to say its quite nice. It may look like an ordinary case but the back of it is textured with grip and the sides are glossy and shiny like the one X. It raise the back of the phone very slightly so the camera lens doesn't get scratched easily. for under 20bucks i must say im quite impressed with it. it comes with a screen protector which i haven't tried to put on since i suck at it and a tiny cleaning cloth.
Ordered hard case two days ago.
I just ordered the black TPU case. Will let y'all know when it arrives and if it is worth the purchase.

Quick Review of the Incipio NGP, AT&T Gel and Case-Mate Tough Case

I got 3 cases for my Lumia 900 and wanted to do a quick review of them so that it could help some of you guys decide one which ones to buy.
Prices listed are directly from the manufacturers website, I am sure you could find them cheaper elsewhere.
Incipio NGP
Price: $19.99
This case isn't too thick but it is thicker than the AT&T Gel case and will offer more protection against drops. Incipio's NGP is a TPU style case, so it's more stiff than traditional silicone cases and it doesn't attract any lint. The fit is very tight and leaves all the ports open, and covers all the buttons.
The only issue I had with this case was that the buttons are a bit tough to press. Especially when taking photos because it's hard to press the camera button on it's first stage for focus, I found it was a bit frustrating when using this case and taking photos. Other than that it's a very nice TPU style case that isn't too expensive.
AT&T Gel
Price: $20.00
This is more of a silicone type case, it's very flexible and has a smooth feel and doesn't attract lint. All the ports are left open, the buttons are covered.
This case is awesome if you like the look and feel of a naked phone because you can hardly tell this case is on the phone. The buttons are very easy to press. It does offer some protection but not as much as the Incipio NGP. I really enjoyed this case due to the fact that it feels like there's no case on the phone at all. It's not too pricey at 20 bucks.
Case-Mate Tough Case
Price: $35.00
This case has an inner soft silicone piece and an outer polycarbonate shell that fits over the silicone. The shell also has a rubbery coating. This case is the thickest of the three, it is also the most protective against drops. I really like this case due to the protection it offers. It fits very well.
This case seems like something Otterbox would have made, it reminds me of their commuter series cases. It leaves all the ports open, it covers the buttons and they are easy to press. The one thing to note is the camera cutout is much small than the other two cases which I personally like, that means that little chrome strip in the back is less likely to get scratched up.
The silicone on this case does collect a bit of lint which is kind of annoying. It's a bit of a trade-off for the protection. It fits very well and looks good. It does thicken the phone up a good amount but that doesn't bother me personally.
Overall it's a very nice case, and the best choice if you want protection, a little more expensive than the others but you are getting something more protective.
[Unfortunately I don't have enough posts to add my link to all the photos I took... :-(
I also have the Incipio NGP case in Translucent Mercury and I have also noticed that it is hard to press the buttons. I'm not sure if my case is bad but it looks like the buttons on the case are about 1-2mm lower than the buttons on the phone which I think is causing the button problem.
I also have the casemate barely there case in black which matches with the phone color really well. My only problem with the case mate is the top and the bottom of the phone is exposed with no coverage. the only top and bottom protection seems to come from the case being a little longer than the phone causing a some what annoying over hang.
I'm kinda new here too so I can't post any pictures but I will try too when I am able too.
I thought about purchasing the barely there case but it just doesn't offer the protection I need. I am pretty happy with their Tough Case though.
I wanted to update this now and post the link to the photos, so here they are!
Thanks for the photos.
Just what I wanted to see.

Post your white cases...

I currently have the Diztronic matte clear case on my white GSIII. As it is starting to yellow a bit I have began the hunt for a nice fitting white case. I really like the fit of the Diztronic case because it does not add much bulk, it covers all the edges of the screen (unlike the barely there cases) and it has the cutouts for the volume rocker and power buttons.
Ideally, if I can find a case exactly like this in white I'd be happy but it seems that cases these days are usually a mix of colors and you can't just find a good quality all white TPU case that fit the criteria above.
So I'm turning to you guys to post pics of the white case you have as well as your impressions of it and a link to where the case can be purchased.
Thanks for the help.
I don't have one to show you but I'm getting the PureGear Dualtek Extreme Shock case in white.

Great Case for the Galaxy s3. The case fits perfectly to the phone and is snug. It's very protective of the phone. The best thing is that I can now lay my phone face down and the glass doesn't touch.

I just got this case yesterday, I ordered on May 5th and I received it on May 13th. Very fast shipping from US to Canada. Case looks and fits nicely, the edges are glossy but the back of the case has a nice matte finish with that "Amzer" logo. As for drop protection, It would probably survive, but keep in mind that the case is very thin (about 1 mm thick on all sides). It's not like an Otterbox case, but I prefer these types of thinner cases.
These are one of the nicest ones available right now besides the generic unbranded tpu cases, and I'm also waiting for this one to come in the mail: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/C1-NILLKIN-N...t=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item35e86b1904

Yes, it does have a lip that covers that entire phone, it keeps the screen at least 1 mm off the ground when you put it face it down. And yeah, I can't wait for that Nillkin case, it covers everything on the phone from the headphone jack, volume buttons and charging port. Everything except the camera

I have this case, which I feel matches the nillkin tempered glass screen protector very well. (looks like they may be OOS for the ZF2)
I received the Amzer case two days back. I'm not too happy with the case and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
The pros are...
1. It covers all the sides and has a lip the protects the screen.
2. The buttons have neat cutouts.
3. The back is a nice Matt finish.
The cons are...
1. The case is slightly loose on the lower side near the USB port.
2. The sides have an unfinished sharp edge running across all 4 sides. This spoils the feel of the case when you hold it in your fingers.
3. Glossy sides spoil the look and make it look cheap.
4. On two sides there's a small extrusion that looks like an unfinished factory flaw from the moulding process.
In the past I have used TPU cases from vendors like Diztronic and I have to say the quality of those cases was way better. For the price Amzer is charging for this case they should have delivered a quality product.
I got this case from eBay UK:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301580146391?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
And I can recommend it. Cutouts are good, it's slim but still just overhangs the screen to protect it. In fact, you hardly notice it when it's on.

Yes the case covers the buttons, and are easy to press. The power button is actually easier then without a case.
I have another TPU case and has cutouts. The volume buttons are still accessible with that one, but the power button is a real pain to press.
just received the nillkin tpu case
very nice case for the price its well built barely adds any bulk and provide decent protection
The original Asus case seems good, with textured finish that should give good grip:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1147172-REG/asus_90xb00ra_bsl2n0_bumper_case_for_zenfone.html
I haven't ordered it yet, but so far is my first consideration. It seems better than other cheap TPU cases I've looked at. as most of them seem to have a smooth finish and seem slippery. I also don't like the "shiny" look most of these TPU cases have.
