Rooting will give you simunlock. However, there is no guarantee it will work for all carriers. There are some it does not work with.

Google for a website that sells them.
You bought it in the uk, did you buy it from amazon uk or any online service? Contact the seller to see if he can help you.
I don't know what you mean by booting method.
Right now, all I can say is google is your friend.

Yes. Use the ace hack kit only to unlock/root your phone. Do not use any other method. You can flash anything in the dev section. Read the op (first page) before flashing. It will list what works and what bugs are listed.

As I know, all Dhd can be rooted by AAHK you must only follow the instructions.
As for me, the best ROM we have today for our device is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778202 there are few bugs only, but not critical for me If you want the ROM with Sense, look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1792074 but this ROM works more slowly

Yes unlike early version the radio is within the ROM. So if you flash a ROM with new base you are flashing with the new base.
What are we wanting from s-off then? If we can change the radio, remove carrier branding, change roms and sim-unlock, what else is there?

People want S-OFF so they can do stuff to their phones without having to use HTC's tool to void their warranties. I would assume that's one of the biggest ones.

You can remove carrier branding without s-off by rooting and installing a custom rom but, for sim unlock, s-off is needed.

[Q] ZTE Supreme

So i was checking out the virgin mobile website the other day and i stumbled on this:

yea thats a real big problem, very few phones from vm have development on them
ZTE is a company pretty much in the pocket of virgin mobile usa in the sense that they lock their devices boot system up so roming is a complete nightmare. check out the other zte branded devices by vm and youll notice outside of root..nothing has occured on those devices. and not for a lack of trying. the same goes with vm's kyocera branded devices. take a look at vm's dwindling line up of other manufacturers versus these "no brand" devices..most of them are zte or kyocera...avoid.

Root for now. Might be all there will be. ZTE devices from virgin are notorious for protected boot...unless a damn good developer like jcase or someone that capable buys or has it donated, dont expect even a recovery for it.

Literally just download that zip file and run it... do not do the kernel. This is only a root... I'm testing recoveries now...
As for the phone... it is wonderful! Just as fast as an sIII but much better pics and web browsing (and no touchwiz!!!). Its no s4 or htc one, but it is one great phone... only thing- touch buttons sometimes do not work well, especially with a case, but it will get better with more use...

Rooting
The software posted here worked perfectly. Just make sure you have the USB connection set to "connect to PC software" for it to work - otherwise the program just sits there.
Hooray for adblock!
Boot sound
Now with root I was able to remove the horribly annoying Virgin Mobile boot sound - it's located in system/etc -> Bootsound_virgin.ogg - I just added bak to it. Now quiet boot!
Rooted!!! So fast an easy glad I didn't buy another HTC

Is is possible to flash back just the stock kernel and keep the international ROM, or will that reinstate the T-Mobile lock?
Also, I went ahead and filed a complaint with the FCC that I believe T-Mobile is violating the new unlock law. Essentially, T-Mobile is making customers who buy the phone outright get service and I don't think this is appropriate. I got an email today that the complaint was served to T-Mobile and they have 30 days to reply. Let's see what happens.

Yeah , i'm really hoping this works.. i hate that Tmobile came up with this **** app ,, why are we at fault cause their customers sell phones
Hi guys!
Did it worked?
Cheers!
This is happening with all new T-mobile phones. They have a eligibility requirement where the phone must be used on a T-mobile account for 40 days before it can be unlocked through their "unlock device" app. Which is honestly... a piece of ****.
SOLUTION: 1. unlock code. 2. Non T-mobile rom. 3. ??? 4. profit! (jk on 3.)
What many have been doing on other phones: m9, z3, etc, you flash a non t-mobile rom! that's pretty much it. You flash a non T-mobile ROM and put in your sim card, it should ask for the sim unlock pin/code. After you do that ONCE, it should be completely unlocked, you can go back to stock or any other rom and it should be sim unlocked!
I have not tried it on the s6 edge myself. BUT it should be the same thing.
GOOD LUCK!
I with for code
I'm ready, I bought the code but I don't received yet.. I have my phone rooted, with twrp. I download the ROM and the kernel..
I think the code arrived in two days... But if somebody haves news.. Please.. Tell us.

Zenfone 2 Unlocker Official or not?

Hello, Mark here I have an Asus Zenfone 2 64 gb edition now I am wondering if there is an official unlock method yet or not ive done research but every time I google it all I get is unofficial unlocks and I am not sure if I would trust the unofficial site. Also I was wondering what most of the users on here think of zenUI and whether or not Asus loads to many of there own apps onto this phone or? I bought mine not that long ago from a place called memoryexpress In canada. Every site I have found with unofficial unlock has all these links to crappy sites that say fill out survey to download files. and I know though sites are a waste. Also sorry if this is the wrong forum section for this post.

If you mean bootloader unlock, you can do that from here... Search for one click bootloader unlock. Just be aware that once unlocked you CAN'T relock bootloader... If you want root then easiest is to use Shakalak's pre-rooted rom in Android Developement section of the forum... You don't need bootloade unlocked to root your phone however if you want to replace recovery with TWRP and install custom rom/kernels then you need to unlock the bootloader...

No problems with Zenui, If you don't like the theme or icons, swipe up from the bottom of screen. You can change theme from there and load icon packs in too...
With 4gb of Ram even Touchwizz would be flawless...

Mercurial me? I run different roms, themes, launchers and apps every other day... No phone I've had has had the same rom for more than a week...
If you are happy with what you have then stay, it all comes down to functionality and what you like...
