just swap it by editing vold.stab. there are so many tutor here. and I think you can find it through uncle Google

If you are using CM9, theres a option to swap internal to external.

Yes. Alpha 6. Setting, storage, menu, storage configuration, then select your choice.

If you switch to a touchwiz rom you can go to settings>storage, then unmount your sd and format from the phone

Twiz and miui both unmount internal sdcard and format it but not external, sht is rediculous.I cant even mount external sd in cwm to reformat it.
Find a friend with an android...older one preferably ...use theirs to format....that's what I did

you can do it with touchwiz. Settings>storage. First listing will be external (sd card) which will have the option to unmount and format. Second listed will be usb storage which is your internal memory and will also have it's own option to format. Just press unmount SD card under external then it will highlight the option to format

Moving apps to SD card

Is there any way to move applications to the real external sd card instead of the internal sd card?

tons of apps for that on the market, apps2sd, TI, etc etc
I'll give ti a try because apps2sd will only move files to the internal SD card, thanks.

Let us know if it actually moves it to the external sd. I assume that's what you want. Because most of them go to sd, but since our phone has the internal as sdcard, it goes there.. And if apps don't break after a reboot.. Because that's why, allgamer or someone else has link2sd so stuff won't break. But I still get apps missing after rebooting using that app

Storage doubt

Hello my phone says that I have sd card storage when i dont have one is there a folder with more storage.

Pretty sure that is showing your internal SD storage.

Yep. Thats your internal. Put an SD in there and you get another set of graphs showing the SD storage capacity. And notice it says USB storage instead of SD storage.

the uppermost is d system storage, middle is internal sd, and lowermost is external sd...all are for ur storage...since system storage is very limited i prefer to move any non-system apps to sd (internal/external)...as for internal sd u see it's very limited too (1.7gb only) compared to ur external sd...this is where swap sd card plays its role

use app2sd

alternatively, u can try link2sd..but as suggested the method above is less of headache xD but i like having 2 partition on my external sd - 1 purely for storage while another to store installed apps...i can always just format d 2nd partitions

[Q] usb storage always full

hi, im newbie here.. my usb storage always say full.. i dont move any apps to sd card.. so how do i solve this?? somebody help me. . :crying:
Transfer the big files of your sd card to the external sd card, so you'll have more space on internal sd card.

Swap SD Card. Get an external SD, then put it in. Move all the files from the internal to external sd After that, go to /system and find build.prop. scroll down and find "Change 1 to enable swapping SD cards" and change the 0 to 1. Ensure the system using R/W before editing. Save and reboot.
