nope unless your overclock which you have to 1.6ghz but to have no lags in game if it still does just use ramexpander as I have been using it for the past 4 hours... I have seen so much improvement as now I can play dead trigger on High detail and able to play other games as well such as black ops and fifa 12.
to use ramexpander you need to set it to 512mb and swappiness to 90 (and click start top left and let it load) then your down and minimize and enjoy playing
both use does kill battery fast but I lasted 2 hours game play to 14% using mark phyton ics with doom kernel at 1.402ghz no frills smartass v2, deadline
also reminder is to shutdown app when your not playing games buy clicking on ramexpander on notification bar and click start to uncheck box then wait for few minutes for it to deactivate as it freeze phone for 2 - 3 minutes as it takes time to deactivate then exit application and when you need to use it just start it up again.
Requirements;
SD card number 4
overclocked to atleast 1.402ghz at smart ass v2, deadline (1.6ghz will do fine if you wish to use)
ramexpander 512mb ram - 90mb swappiness
games to play and test out
I hope this helped!

It's all about the hardware in this case involving 3D rendering, even with the latest Android version the hardware is still limited on the Play.

well the ram is definitely the main issue but that can be extended with swap space etc .

[Q] How to get the Play performing it's best?

Hey there,
I want to optimize my Play because games like backstab, shadowgun, GTA3 seem to lag a great deal and it becomes really frustrating reading about all the people for whom they work perfect with the same phone.
I got the international play R800i gsm, stock kernel, stock rom, android 2.3.4 ...58 firmware.
After completing the basic steps to get my Play performing well. Those steps were removing the bloatware, build.prop tweaks, gpu rendering and chainfire. I read thru the Play WIKI and also the not maintained super compilation.
I now got 220MB internal memory left, 170mb memory left on rom, and 220mb free ram.
Tryed out V6 supercharger, playing in flight mode, removing chanfire but nothing really helped the game experience...
I'm puzzled and seeking out for help, how do you get your play optimized for joyfull gamexperience
Try RAM Manager. Its a paid app but allows you to quickly, with one click, change the RAM to a multitude of options such as:
More Free Memory
More multitasking
Hard Gaming (the one you need)

i am also interested in ths matter. using ICS beta with darkforest and im rying diffrent EMU and there is a lot of lag. (n64oid - mariocart 64) (superGNES - zelda link to the past) and minecraft. or maby there is a ICS rom or ginger bread ROM that works for pure gaming?
flash this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1595058
and this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1176502
using it along v6 supercharger.. u will see a big different without lag..
@ezadsyafiq99 I should have mentioned it in the first post: I'm on a locked bootloader, and believe my skills and luck to be not good enough to unlock the bootloader without messing something up so the kernel is out of question for right now, but thanks anyway I guess it will be an useful tip for others.
The Rom you mentioned is a real nice work, I have tried it, looks fine and runs fast. But I don't really believe it to be faster as stock. Just my opinion
@ LG_fuad92 - I can't for sure confirm that, but the supercharger is all about regrouping OOM and low memory killing to enable the ram to be more multitasking able and faster. I remember it also has a "Hard Gaming" option like the mentioned Ram Manager pro.
However the V6 didn't work for me, the script said 100% supercharged, the log said didn't apply settings :-/
well NVM. on full battery/on charge everything works perfect!
getting skills in mariocart on touch pad! the glory of ICS

Tbo, I can't feel anything from V6. I got the same problem like you did, maybe it's not useful for our phone? Or maybe just that we made something wrong. Btw are you using app2sd or link2sd? The ones that doesn't need root like the setinstallloaction doesn't work lol.

I can't yet fully confirm it, but it seems like Ram Manager Pro on the Hard Gaming option did the Trick for me.
Played 20-30 mins of Shadowgun where I killed the big cyber lobster and run around in the next level without any kind of lag.
Same with Backstab, looked perfect in the 15 mins I have been playing it yet.
Will get more time to play tomorrow and update

My Firmware and stuff:
.62 Firmware
TrueAncestor Theme (Not ROM, I don't use Custom ROMS on GB)
v6 Supercharger (Option 9)
DooMKernel v13 #3013 (No GPU OC)
1.3GHz using Smartass v2 governor
Many other Tweaks I applied
I get 1823 in Quadrant (It don't really matter) and gaming experience is so smooth , I'm glad I'm away from ICS, I miss GB stability lol.
Ich antworte dir mal auf deutsch, ich sehs ja an deiner Flagge...

Yeah? I'm on the ROM and to be honest the battery life isn't good. I might switch to your setup. Are you happy with it? Is the battery life good? and overclocking is related to the Kernel? I thought it was the ROM?
and which firmware are you on? I"m on .58 since I'm on TrueAncestor.

Overclocking is done with an OC kernel, not the ROM itself.
The best battery life will be achieved with the best baseband, kernel, kernel settings, and the lightest, most bare-bones ROM.

So which would be the best setup? I need help

How do i boost my Arc S perfomance?

Ok guys, i installed ICS 4.0.4 from the Sony site then later removed all the unwanted bloatwares....
Installed LINK2SD and now i got 340 mb free internal storage..
But when it comes to playing games, it lags alottttt. I used task killer, history cleaner all of it still no use. Games lag. Temple run lags the most... I tried swapper but i dont think it helped either (or maybe i did the steps wrong)
How do i make my phone fast?
ics will lag
SUGGESTIONS
1. go to settings and force stop each application manually(don't use any task killer)!!!
2. then go to cached memory(press the menu button) and force stop every application....
3. IF using any custom kernel then try to overclock at a higher freq..(be careful!!overclocking is dangerous)
**ICS rom can run smoothly(NON GAMING) on your device but due to low amount of ram it can't play every application without lag:crying:
**FOR GAMING ON YOUR DEVICE I WILL SUGGEST YOU TO INSTALL GB>>:good:

No problem with games on ICS.
Backup your imprtant data. Repair with pc companion. Enjoy a faster device.
Ps. Dont use pc companion if unlocked bootloader.
I did this first time ICS went out and i have no lagg, most games are smooth
Remember to set both animationsettings to 0.5x feels smoother

I think the problem maybe it's because you are using an old version of the rom... maybe if you try another rom like Bane of Speed or Gin2Kitkat that are more actual the problem of your lag maybe dissapear... the other thing maybe is your kernel... i found really fast the Lupus Gb-ICS v7, maybe if you try with diferent roms and kernels you can find the best one for you.

[Q] N3N Games & Apps Performance Issues

Hi there
I have my Note3 Neo for a month now and it runs superb, love this device. However.. there are few 3D Games that glitch during gameplay
Beach Buggy Blitz- Starts up fine but after a while I start to notice game Glitches, The checkpoint clock and the Boxed graphics on the sides don't act as they should be. There other parts of the game that acting the same way.
Dungeon Hunter 4- (Great Game) Starts Fine, After a while all the characters lose their characteristics.. face.. sword details.. armor details.. etc..
PlayStation® All-Stars Island- The Game itself runs fine, but on the main menu (the Island) it like the 3D is broken (pieces disappear and appear again).
Other 3D Games like Kritika: Chaos Unleashed, Dead Space, Dark Avenger, Dead Triger run smoothly.
Just want to know if there is anyone else out there having the Same Problems or its just me.
P.S i read about Modern "Combat 5 not working" If thats the case Big.Little Possessor is there a way to fix this?
Thanks
Although the reviews compare it with snapdragon 800 and they say the cpu is on par and gpu os on par with adreno 320...however I have noticed games were much smoother on my Nexus 4. At SOME point on note 3 neo games do stutter.

CORE4 and CORE5 were clocked at 1.7 Ghz. And guess what it had all the options like configuring the speed of the cores, forcing them on or off and also changing governors (but i say dont change governors it freezes the phone then u have to pull the battery  ) and it had couple of other option to use on a rooted phone like FS Trimmer, Build prop tweaks (it works on mine no bootup issues ) entropy fixer (like seeder i think) sd card cache size, oom fixing, and all the other things u want on a rooted phone  . However i was not able to find any option to control GPU freq.

Have a look at this App to change GPU speed
FYI just tried the GPU_OC up to see if it will do any difference to the games.. But now i get an "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped" error on the long press of menu button (recent apps). P.S i own an N3N 7505.
just saying as heads up..
The error was caused by the secure settings the apps asks you to download..
I belive custom kernel is needed for that kind of stuff

Hearthstone optimization thread

Hi, I had some reboots and freezes when trying to get the game to run, but I think I finally found a decent setup, loading times are nothing to write home about, and there are some graphical artifacts when holding a card from your deck, but the overall performance is surprisingly good.
So, if you think you found the perfect setup for your n7, pls do share.

The newest update to android(5.0.2) and hearthstone made a big difference. on default kernel settings just slight lag in animations
Slim LP F2FS m-kernel 1600/484 is very smooth compared to when HS first got released to Android.

I installed this ROM(Slim-grouper-5.0.2.alpha.0.91-UNOFFICIAL-20141220-1511), and performance is really good overall.
But I installed trickster mod and can only change max GPU, if i change max CPU it goes back to 1300, what I need to do?
Thanks.
Hi i have installed freakslimrom and trickstermod can't stick my 1600 cpu setting only default 1300, so i installed rastapop 5.0.2_r1 f2fs version, m-kernal a73, and google apps minimal edition, default trikstermod have 1500 cpu. Its not as fast as freakslim but hearthstone is going really nice only small lags on loadings. If only gltools work it would be awsome.

Its hard building a game for such a wide range of hardware... See Windows for example.
