New Galaxy Nexus Owner - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I have recently purchased a new GN and I am waiting for it to arrive. I wanted to go ahead and buy a case for it(thinking hard about S-Line TPU Wave) but I have a quick question. The S-Line Waves on Amazon all say(Verizon) or (Verizon Wireless) beside them. Are the dimensions different for GSM/CDMA phones? Or will any Galaxy Nexus case fit any Galaxy Nexus? Thanks. Also, any S-Line TPU Wave case owners care to offer an opinion? I saw the review here on the sticky, and it seems like exactly what I want.

The Verizon/Sprint version is about 0.5 millimeters thicker than the GSM version, but generally generic Galaxy Nexus cases will fit on both versions. I found this version on Amazon, I think it is the one you are referring to: (just copy the following and search for it on amazon, XDA won't let me post links)
BasalCase(TM) Samsung Galaxy Nexus TPU S-Line Wave Case - Smoke [BasalCase Retail Packaging]
The description says that this case is for the i9250, which is the code for the GSM version, and the phone shown in the picture appears to be a GSM Nexus, so I think it would be a good fit for your new phone.

Thanks so much!

Vote to get Case-Mate's 'Barely There' case for the Galaxy Nexus

I was extremely disappointed that case-mate never released a 'Barely There' case for the Nexus S. That's the one case I love and always look out for. Had one for my Vibrant and am currently using one with my Thunderbolt.
I'm hoping that since the Galaxy Nexus with Ice Cream Sandwich is a major upgrade versus the incremental upgrade that was the Nexus S with Gingerbread, the phone will get a lot more 3rd party accessory attention and products.
To get the ball rolling for that hope, please help by voting and showing case-mate that there's definite interest in a Barely There case for the Galaxy Nexus close to launch! http://feedback.case-mate.com/forum...a-barely-there-case-ready-for-the-galaxy-nexu
I'd rather they make the id/card case for it personally
Not read about any accessories other than the Desk dock shown at the Hong Kong launch. I will buy the Galax Nexus if there is a car dock available.
yeah there is interest but first i want my phone!
I put a vote in but you need more votes
is this link not selling the "barely there" case for the galaxy nexus then?

To be honest, I couldn't find a screen guard for my phone... Unfortunately I think it'll be a while until somebody releases a quality case for it.

I hope AGF Ballistic makes a case for this as they made ones for the iphone and SGS2
didn't care to much for the iphone one but the SGS2 was very nice
maybe otterbox will come with one like the defender or commuter

Duo Shield Hybrid Case Review

hey guys,
Another hybrid case by the same guys that made the MY Carbon.. Beyond Cell..This is the Duo shield
This was a different case..I liked the look but there were some things that I was not happy with, like the abs plastic and sometimes the fitment on a stock battery GSM device

[SOLVED]Otterbox Defender Case Compatibility

Ok ,so there is only one option on the Otterbox website.Does it fit both the GSM and CDMA Nexus or is it only for one device?
According to the model numbers on the cases one is designed for the GSM version and a separate is for CDMA. That being said, be wary with the otterbox defender as it has been reported to actually scratch that phone as the phone sits in the plastic shell and does have a tiny amount of room for movement.

Yup.
I noticed this instantly, mostly when plugging/unplugging the charger. Installed the oem extended battery and now it doesnt move. As well dirt/lint always managed to get in the otterbox and bugged the hell out of me when is stayed in the screen, added a zagg protector and it doesnt do that, kept the otterbox screen protector too.
I have the gsm version as well. I added a couple small strips of microfiber on the inside of the defender and installed a zagg screen protector. I also removed the OEM otter box screen protector. The setup works very nicely. No movement at all.

As far as I know, there isn't one. Last month Otterbox customer service confirmed to me via email that their Defender case for the Galaxy Nexus was designed for the Verizon version.
If there is a GSM version, I'd love to know about it.

No movement on mine
I bought this one from amazon and its the otterbox defender series,I have a sprint nexus. I have had no movement with my phone in the case it fits snuggly in there. I looked at ottbox.com and it was 50 bucks. While I do like the case and would pay that much, Its half the price on amazon.

Lol,I ordered mine from the same seller!Great to know there aren't any problems with it. Update:Just found out that the Sprint & Verizon stock batteries are 1850 mAh vs the GSM version @ 1750 mah.Shouldn't be much of a difference.
I decided to get the Kraken case instead. Its good so far and has no fitment issues with my GSM Galaxy Nexus.
Just received my Defender and I love this thing! Some of you were saying that the phone moves slightly but mine doesn't. Anyways, I'm not complaining. Thank you all for your help and advice

Just bought the purple version for my wife's phone. She beats the hell out of her phone so I figured the Defender would be the best choice. I'm really hoping there's no movement inside the case.

[Q] Case Question

I've searched and read lots of several threads but most of them seem to elude to cases (and other accessories) tailored to specific branding of the Nexus. So I'm having a tough time finding a case, such as the Ballistic MAXX case for my phone. Can someone tell me which device I need to sue as a reference? Will cases for the GS III work for my Nexus? I think the one I have on it now (a simple Pt case from Best Buy) was for a GS III.
Thanks.
I use the Otterbox Commuter case for my Galaxy Nexus -- it's provided great protection for other phones I've owned and in the case of the GNex, does not add a lot of additional weight.
Galaxy S III cases will NOT fit.
I use Incipio's two-layer Silicrylicâ„¢ case, I don't need a screen protector.

Buying a protective case on Amazon

I've been looking at cases for GNX on Amazon and some are listed as suitable for Verizon model. Are these going to also fit
the I9250 version ?

Not sure but would not think so or at least it would not fit snugly in since the verizon galaxy nexus is a bit thicker with its bigger standard battery.
Most tpu cases are interchangeable since they have a bit of flex. Hard shell may or may not work well because of the small difference in size
