[ROM][CM10][JB][4.1.2][SGT7][P1000/N/L][PDroid][20121127][RETIRED] - Galaxy Tab Android Development

My CM10 build for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7" P1000/N/L/ (CDMA? testers?).
Based on the SGT7 repo (cdesai, sbradymobile and humberos).
Here is @cdesai's original thread.
Alroger's downloads (info, tips and troubleshooting included)
Humberos's downloads (you can use my PDroid Patches with them).
You can use the boot.img kernels inside the ZIPs to test other MTD builds like the official CyanogenMod and AOKP, which often don't offer latin kernels, as long as they have the same partition layout. Don't use the latest kernel on nightlies BEFORE 20120923!
UPDATE: 20121127 available. @humberos' kernel. Little UI updates, BT and Sensor fixes. EXIF Fix for Geotagging photos (works with Ingress now)!
UPDATE: 20121120 available. @humberos' kernel. kernel tweaks, sbradymobile updates, LED brightness, clear recent apps button.
UPDATE: 20121113 available. @humberos' kernel. Memory fix, video fix, wifi fix, 1.4GHz OC.
UPDATE: 20121111 available. @humberos' kernel. Little things. Voodoo Sound is back.
UPDATE: 20121108 available. @humberos' kernel. Performance, battery and wireless fixes, including infamous ksoftirqd/0. Brazilian DST fixes.

UPDATE: 20121023 available. @humberos' kernel, Loads of updates (4.1.2), GPU OC using Antutu, @sbradymobile tweaks, etc.
UPDATE: 20121015 PDroid Patch for latest CM10 Android 4.1.2 available.
UPDATE: 20121009 available. @humberos' kernel. Little fixes?
UPDATE: 20121007 available. @humberos' kernel. better battery? more Trebuchet tweaks by @sbradymobile and misc translations.

PDroid Patches included and available separately as CwM Flash install.
NoMoarPowah! GalaxyTab stockblue theme available.
OBS: No need to restock.
Easy restock from Gingerbread:
Flash full stock Gingerbread (with repartition).

Boot directly into CwM Recovery, holding VolUp.
Flash CM10 ROM and GApps!
Cheers! Thanks everyone!

Building CM10 successful.
[UPDATE 20121113] Back to userdebug instead of eng.
Android 4.1.2 compiling now.. New PDroid patches for 4.1.2 working.
Plugin your device via USB (ADB enabled) for the extract-files part!
Code:
mkdir ~/cm10
cd ~/cm10
repo init -u git://github.com/sgt7/android.git -b jellybean
repo sync
cd vendor/cm
./get-prebuilts
cd ../..
source build/envsetup.sh
lunch cm_p1n-userdebug
cd device/samsung/p1
./extract-files.sh
cd ../../..
time make -j6 bacon
# cm_p1n-userdebug, cm_p1l-userdebug or cm_p1c-userdebug for CDMA
# -j6 for 2 threads per core (3 cores here)
Using the following right now, in .repo/local_manifest.xml, to get all humberos updates. extract-files takes care of the proprietary files.
Code:
<project name="humberos/android_kernel_samsung_p1" path="kernel/samsung/p1" remote="github" revision="cm-10.0.0" />
<project name="humberos/android_device_samsung_p1-common" path="device/samsung/p1-common" remote="github" revision="jellybean" />
Not needed anymore: If compiling with PDroid, gotta delete a couple files so it won't exceed the 65536 method limit:
Code:
rm frameworks/base/telephony/java/com/android/internal/telephony/{SonyQualcommRIL.java,HTCQualcommRIL.java,LGEQualcommRIL.java,LGEQualcommUiccRIL.java,MotoWrigley3GRIL.java,SemcRIL.java,Smdk4210RIL.java}
Not needed anymore.
Cheers!

BUGs, Video, Camera, etc...
BUGs? You tell me.
My build should have the same flaws as official CM nightlies, humberos and cdesai builds.
HW Video working!
Camera working!
New partition layout!
Tablet Mode!
Better memory management!
[UPDATE 20120914]
New build out with all the goodies so far...
Never seen Youtube Apps and Videos so fast, EVER on this Tab. Never seen HD videos so crisp and clear, 0 stutter with HW acceleration! MX Player was updated with new HW+ codec, which makes video, that normally wouldn't, work in HW!
[UPDATE 20120911]
@humberos 20120908 build has HW video accel and New Partition Layout! Pretty good. My PDroid Patches work fine with it.
Test videos for HW codec: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25215203&postcount=805
I use MX Player.
Reporting Bugs
Before reporting a bug, please make sure you are running as stock as possible. This means no custom kernel, no custom framework modification, etc. If you are using any of the above modifications, please flash the rom again to get rid of the modifications before reporting.
Please read the thread for known issues before reporting.
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. The following is a useful format to follow.
Code:
What is your--
Tablet model:
Radio (baseband):
CM version:
CM Download url:
Gapps version:
Did you--
wipe:
restore with titanium backup:
reboot after having the issue:
Are you using--
a task killer:
a non-stock kernel:
CMSettings/Performance settings (other than stock):
other modifications:
Provide any additional information (observations/frequency of problem/last version it worked on/etc) as needed:

thanks alroger

Thanks Alroger, are there any bugs in this version?

Would be nice if H/W acceleration is present..720p and 1080p videos can't play smoothly. Waiting for the next release.

I tried to change screen resolution (from 160 to 240 dpi) and after that the tab refuse to start and don't go over the bootscreen. I wiped all the data and install everything and after that the tab boot normally. I think there is something wrong with different screen resolution, another guy has the same problem with humberos release (maybe the kernel?)

I don't think it works in 240... not yet at least.
160 and 120 work fine for me.

How did you change dpi? If you used an ago, it'll just boot loop. I'm using one of the CM10 kangs and 240 dpi works well.

Thank you Alroger; I was waiting for your return to test JB.. No other rom gives all the goodies and pdroid patch !
It's so good; it took me the same time to flash than previously, no problem happened, all applications/data were still present.
One little thing though; on your cafe-ti page, the link to humberos blog got me on his nexus build page, which was a little confusing...

Alroger's rom is really awesome, except the known bugs, the only pity I found is the battery runs quickly after using. Hope it can be solved soon.

Well, it's a link to the blog.. and his latest post is CM10 for the Nexus.. since there is no "fixed" post for SGT7 CM10, I leave you with the whole blog, that always has something new to share.
For example, I always use it as a heimdall command line reference... just search for heimdall in there and we find the holy full restock command line with repartitioning.

I don't feel it bad on battery consumption.
Similar to the plain Hombertos build which I monitored for 48 hrs consuming 30% on low usage, mostly standby so giving up to 6/7 days on this.
Now I have 19 hrs with 15% but have been driving around and surfing with it...
Bye,
Derk

Alroger
Well As i Know, updater.sh its not updated in sgt7 repo so the builds dont boot with the new layout, you will have to copy from cyanogenmod repo into the zip to get it boot with the new repartition. I am just comparing both builds the official and mine adding to the local manifiest the following.
<project name="sgt7/android_device_samsung_p1-common" path="device/samsung/p1-common" remote="github" revision="jellybean" />
<project name="humberos/android_kernel_samsung_p1" path="kernel/samsung/p1" remote="github" revision="cm-10.0.0" />
<project name="TheMuppets/proprietary_vendor_samsung" path="vendor/samsung" remote="github" revision="jellybea
But mine is a litle laggy so i think some more things are not updated in sgt7 repo.
cheers.
Also with humberos kernel I dont get the boot animation.

Tried to flash this over the last humeros cm10 build (20120823), just reboots after about 15 seconds after installation starts in cwm.
Ideas?

Visit the Jellybean 4.2 thread here
Banner thanks to SebianotiAs I'm sure you know, the Jellybean 4.1.1 source code was uploaded to the AOSP repos a few hours ago. Following on from my Nexus 7 port, this is a build based off of the AOSP repositories, using the open source endeavoru tree started by intrepresentation. This is a pure AOSP build, the only changes I've applied are to add the Nexus 7 boot animation, APNs, and stuff that is required to get it working.
Issues
Wireless doesn't connect for a small handful of users
Radio also doesn't work for a small number of users in recent builds
Contributing
I'm also opening up the codebase, so if you think you can contribute then submit a pull request. Anyone can contribute by helping to submit bugs to the issue tracker. Remember to include as much detail as possible. Steps to replicate, logcats etc.
If you've never tried developing for android before, then the best way to get started is to first get the source built (I'll post up a quick guide at some point), have a look through the code, read a page or two about AOSP, then see if you can pick off any bugs. Github makes it easy to find bugs, and submit your fixes back to me, so have a read up on that too if you're unfamiliar.
I've set up a short guide that should help you get started with building android, check it out here.
I've also set up #tg-endeavoru on Freenode irc for discussion, suggestions, development etc.

I too will need to wait for wifi and radio before proceeding and testing as it is a work number but thanks for the quick work. I look forward to using this rom in the future.
I'd love to test this however i feel its pointless to test a build where the main phone functions don't work.
People have already tested the previous build and the core system works great ( regardless of dormant issues when people begin to run their apps )
Good to see that the SD mount is working.
Gooood start mate! Hopefully mdeejay and others will be around to help soon!

I gave my gf a massage for a little while and came back and it was still stuck.
Any hints?

Did you try to wipe the dalvik cache?
Wiped cache, flashed the appropriate kernel, bootet into CWM, factory reset, cleaned dalvik cache, installed the zip-file. Rebooted, starts up perfectly fine! I recommend to not flash the Gapps, because the Google Assistant will crash every time.
The system itself works so far, will continue some testing, I freaking looooove project butter, it's so smooth, so responsive, I'm close to making lots and lots of little HOXes in passionate love!

Dayum, I feels ya bro!
I ended up flashing back my backup.
I'll give it a go following your exact guidance and see if it was my issue. If it still doesn't work, i'll give the boot.img a go.
p.s. what was the download size? can someone make a md5checksum?

Okay, as there isn't much what you can do for thorough testing, here's a list of things that work/don't work:
Works:
-Core System
-HW-Acceleration (triple buffered p0rn!)
-Internal Memory usage
-Vibration motor (comes in handy when project butter turns you on too much)
-Activating Bluetooth/Bluetooth search (LOLed at this one ^^)
-Accelerometer (screen rotation)
-Multitouch (tested with pinch to zoom in gallery app)
Doesn't work:
-Wifi
-Radio
-Sound
-Light sensor (for automatic brightness)
-Notification light (tested it while charging)
-USB mounting
-Camera
-Button backlights
-Deep sleep (device is constantly awake)
-Everything related to the issues above
It appears i had a dodgy download.
my checksum was not ca85bdcb2b0e9aa2b38a6d5809291f7b twas 70e762e1b161dce4b13b56e485eb289e instead.
I might wait for an update until i redownload.
Oh god my pants just got tighter seeing the thread title. Hope to see the Dev gods get this thing in a daily stable state soon! Thanks OP!
I'm just looking forward to a build with any form of data working.

Welcome to SentinelROM for HTC One X (endeavoru - Tegra 3 Only). Compiled with the Linaro toolchain from modded CM10.2 source. Android 4.3
This is one of the most popular ROMs for Nexus 10 and Nexus 7, and after a month of hard work and optimisation, I am happy to release it for HTC One X.
This ROM is compiled from CyanogenMod 10.1 with all the features you get in a CM10.2 ROM, plus the following features.
Compiled with the Linaro toolchain for extreme performance.
Zip Aligned
Compiled from latest CyanogenMod 10.2 source by me, not a 'cooked ROM'.
OTA Updates supported
Improved Web Browsing performance
Improved 3D gaming performance
Amazing battery life
Additional theming and UI customisation
FAST support via this page and our Facebook Page
A free copy of my music player app
________________________
This ROM has been built to enhance the CyanogenMod 10.2 experience, with faster gaming and web browsing performance (no choppyness in Chrome too!).
Countless hours have been spent making tweaks to settings to squeeze the most performance I can find out of this ROM while still providing excellent battery life and without the dangers of overclocking and kernel level tweaking.
I compile this ROM and Kernel from the latest CyanogenMod source code, add my various tweaks and adjustments, then test for stability, so you get all the benefits of CyanogenMod 10.2, plus my tweaks and extras, all without the instability and inconvenience of flashing CyanogenMod nightlies (which are not designed specifically for the HTC One X like my ROM is.
The kernel source is available from the CyanogenMod's GitHub.
Requires HBOOT 1.29 or newer.

*Some users have reported ADB via USB not working. It's not actually a bug, but a difference in the way ADB works and the drivers required for CM vs SENSE based ROMS... If this is you, follow these steps to get ADB working..
Plug your phone in to your pc.
Open up device manager (Right click computer -> Manage -> Device Manager)
Find your phone in the list.
Mine was initially under 'Other Devices' labeled as 'One'
Right click -> Update Driver Software...
Select 'Browse my computer for driver software'
Select 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer'
Make sure to uncheck 'Show compatible hardware'
Select 'Android Phone' then 'Next'
Select 'Google, Inc' on the left pane and 'Android ADB Interface' on the right pane. Hit Next
Hit 'OK' if there was a warning.
To test if ADB is working, launch a CMD prompt and type 'adb devices'
You should now see you phone in the list!!
p.s. mounting your sdcard should also work.

If installing for the first time:
To install this ROM you will need to have an unlocked bootloader and a custom Recovery such as TWRP or ClockWorkMod installed (personally I recommend TWRP, I have had issues with restoring backups using CWM).
Copy the downloaded SentinelROM zip to your Internal Storage.
Boot into your custom recovery
Back up your stock ROM
[*]Boot into bootloader (power + Vol down) and enter Fastboot mode
[*]Extract boot.img from ROM zip and flash via fastboot [fastboot flash boot boot.img] (there are heaps of guides on how to do this)
Enter custom recovery
Factory Reset and wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache
Wipe System partition
Install the ROM
Install GAPPS package
Reboot - the first boot can take up to 5 minutes
Important: After installation you will be asked if you want to turn on CyanogenMod Statistics, please leave it off as this is an unofficial/modified build.
Note: Use of titanium backup to restore apps and data from another ROM is not recommended, and is the source of 90% of user issues, especially when it comes to battery life. Do so at your own risk.
You may flash other kernels as you wish via recovery. Remember to also flash the correct libraries for any 3rd party kernels. Instructions will be given by the Kernel author. NOTE: Updating the ROM via OTA will also overwrite any custom Kernels you have installed.

A run through of the various settings and configurations.
Nice to see another ROM!
What languages are supported?
...and how do I get the weather forecast, like the one in your first screenshot?
Sounds great! Gotta put it to the test.
thanks for your work
this rom build source same http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2203331 ?
Hi tc, for some reason all aosp based roms are in original android development, I think you should consider moving your rom there
Thanks for your work

This ROM isn't AOSP based. It's CM10.1 based.

If you turn on "Sweep2Wake" under settings, they stay active when the screen is off, otherwise they turn off when the screen is off.

That's not what I meant. . . If you used sense based roms you can see that the capacitive buttons are accommodating according to the lighting condition around you... Turns off in bright light and turns on in dark areas...
Ps: this behavior is only working on ICJ by LorD ClockaN not any other aosp or cm10.1 based rom even the official one.
I had a talk with seadersn in his rom thread but I couldn't solve it.
That's what I meant.

Oh right! Sorry, I misunderstood.
No, they don't automatically light up in dark conditions. they light up as soon as you touch them. You can also choose to have them off all the time, or light up with notifications.

Yes that's I know but I don't like the rule of all or none... But I hope you could check that... may be you can help solve this issue for all the users of cm10.1 and FYI it's not kernel related.

K860/i CM10.1 - Linaro - beta 1 -updated 19.10.'13

Versioning explained:
>>>>>>>>>|0.92*|>>>> alpha>>>>>>beta>>>>RC>>>>1.0>>>>>
*0.92 will be removed as an option once RC comes out
This ROM is a spin-off from Mr. Linscue's and CyanogenMod sources.
What makes it different is that it is built with Linaro toolchain, current 4.7., instead of Google supplied one.
It's a product of my curiosity, Mr. Linkscue's extensive patience with helping me to understand the whole picture and his work so far on our devices. This wouldn't be possible without him.
To be able to build with Linaro toolchain there is a lot of CM source editing and git cherry-picking to make code fit for Linaro's GCC so the final ROM can actually be compiled. Thanks to Open Source, Android, internet and XDA-devs, I have been able to make it real by collecting the info and conveying it to this ROM.
I have to remind you, this is my personal build, it was never intended to be released to the wide public, I'm not a programmer/coder and there is no warranty.
Few notes:
1
The build: This is a first functional build through Linaro for this phone. It's compiled with -O3 flag, so /system (ROM) side is 90% optimized. I' m continuing to find proper code snippets that will further improve the build.
2
Battery life. Kernel used is prebuilt Lenovo, therefore battery life should be similar to official ROM, bar the specific LenovoPower settings, however if you are installing CM you are expected to know how to manage your phone. Without Lenovo's updated kernel sources, further optimizations are not possible, either for performance or extending battery life. If you are experiencing poor battery life, there are two things, 1. You have just I nstalled the ROM, give it a few days for system to settle in. There are few things going on during first day or two that might deteriorate your battery life 2. You have an app installed that is keeping your phone awake, preventing it to go to deep sleep. You can install BetterBatteryStats from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809 and find the offending app.
3
If you like it, use it. We are fixing general bugs as we go, and we know what those are. You may report them here but don't expect them to be fixed. Any app addition request or AOKP/MIUI/whatever port will not be entertained. As I said in the beginning, this is my personal build and I'm just sharing it with you.
4
Why name it SENNA: Ayrton Senna: “And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high. This rom was made possible thanks to:

Since 99% of the work is by Mr. Linkscue, take your time and drop by his thread: http://bbs.lephone.cc/k860/t553805/1/ and give him some kudos.
That's all.

I'm sorry, you are talking about transparent taskbar? That iis as much as I could understand from the pics you posted.
To put it bluntly, what is going on now is trying to build kernel from source to match 4.2.2 and then cleaning up of proprietary files. Any UI polishing/additions I might consider at later date. So far, it seems to be a very far date But hey, it is functioning so far and sorry, but no..

Phone board/bootloader recognizes several operating modes like off charge, on, off, test etc. Mr. Scue identified them and it is working, however there is a problem that when you boot the phone after charging it in off mode, screen will turn white around the edges sometimes. For safety of your devices this part of functionality is not included yet.
I'm not familiar with the USSD problem yet. Will have a look into it, but if it wasn't working in official release, it could take time to make it working here.

Ok, this questions now are going out of topic but let's chase this rabbit down the hole.
I am not familiar with the workings of youtube app (I assume you have successfully installed Play store and had it installed from there) so I am not sure what video/audio codecs it uses.
I can tell you right now one thing, related to video playback and Samsung's OMX codecs (the ****ty opensource ones) hw accel. video on this ROM is currently broken. I will soon reissue the ROM with files from official ROM to have that part working again, until I sort out what gets broken on OSS ones.
Currently I'm hands deep in kernel, I managed to transplant updated mali drivers into the old source to make it run on 4.2.2 and did some ugly hack job on HAL layer to have CM working, I have it at system stable level now. I'm tired and sorry for not being of much help, please google yourself and see what exactly are youtube app dependencies to make the videos run. If it uses on board hw codecs, I already told you what is the problem.
EDIT: try to disable GPU rendering for a test, in Developer options. just to see.
I flash several times this rom and always the same 2 problems ! Wifi doesnt work ! Stays there it said "turning wifi on..." and the 2nd camera program ( i dont remember the name ) always force close !!! Thanks
Sent from my K860 using xda app-developers app
what a great rom !! i hope you can fix the youtube problem and others minor problem soon!! :good:
Yup tried with GPU rendering disabled, HW accel enabled disabled.. Not just with youtube, videos don't work on many video content apps like imdb etc..

thank you bubor
I love PAC rom's
use it and report
Using this ROM for more than a week. It's very stable, and no issues so far except known that exists on all kitkat ROMs (one can find them in first post, and also avi isn't playing in default player and capacitive buttons (menu, home, back) are not responding sometimes for a couple of seconds after going out of deep sleep).
I already said about loads of features and customizations here, it's really great to have so many options to fine-tune the ROM, and there are even prebuilt build.prop and init.d tweaks (GPU interface acceleration make phone usage so smooth!). The PAC-Performance for CPU clock control allows to disable second core in our CPU, and this is what I recommend to everyone! The battery last longer with disabled second core and there are no performance lags at all in everyday tasks! That's much better option than to change governor for battery saving. Of course, you should enable second core back when playing games.
@Makshow:
how does it compare to bubor's previous (4.3 based) PAC-releases, if you were using these? my i927 is still on the 20131106 build because I was ~roughly satisfied with stability and usability and didn't want to risk an jolly acceptable setup
@bubor:
Is this beast easy to build with your posted roomservice manifest, or does it need manual tinkering, give compile errors or so?
need a custom kernel build because I want to track per-process I/O usage with iotop and fatrace within my debian chroot and they need non-default CONFIG_TASKSTATS, CONFIG_TASK_DELAY_ACCT, CONFIG_TASK_IO_ACCOUNTING and CONFIG_FANOTIFY...
4.3 PAC and 4.4 PAC are different things. Prior to 4.4 PAC meant a blend of PA, AOKP and CM ROMs, so it has almost all the features of these roms for the cost of RAM and stability. PAC 4.4 was made from scratch based on CM 11 with additions of many non-heavy features taken from other ROMs. So the RAM usage is almost the same as in CM 11, but there are no PA UI settings, no AOKP 9-target lockscreen slider and so on. But there are OmniSwitch, Active Screen, Identicons... The most notable change from CM 10.2 to CM 11 is new Trebuchet launcher - but you should look at it yourself.
In 20140327 it was still an alpha release, but a stable one (credits for this are going to bubor's kernel and build tree, I presume. All ROMs he built are very stable).
hi bubor
I can not use theme on this rom
please check it
Thank you Bubor for this PAC build and keeping the glide still a kicking device. I've been a fan of PAC roms since the first time I flashed one. Currently I'm still on the 4.2.2 rom by Kick, mostly for 1 reason, I can choose from a range of governors (from the LiteKernel by thegreatergood).
Is there a way you can port the governors from that kernel to something compatible for this rom? I tried decompiling the kernel when the PAC 4.3 came out, but I just got lost (I don't think I was using the programs correctly, or the correct programs). The link for the kernel mentioned is here (scroll down for the 4.2 version),

Original litekernel doesnt support selinux, I dont think its right to use that.
What governor do you need?
Litekernel has many other modifications, include only governor is easy tasks.
I mostly use Wheatley, seems to be the nicest on performance vs battery life (IMO). If that one can't be added, then SmartAssV2 .

Setup wizard - not working
Just flashed the newest release (factory and internal sd), and a popup saying "Setup wizard has stopped. Blame the Split Screen" appeared. I keep clicking the "ok", but it won't go away. Behind it, there is a popup saying something about the ASOP keyboard has stopped. :-/
I'm going to try the version before this, then try flashing this version over that (to avoid the setup wizard).
[Edit]
I tried the previous version (factory and internal sd), same setup problem. So I installed the 4.2.2 (kick) PAC (bare setup), then installed the newest PAC version on top without any wipe. It skipped the setup wizard, but kept showing errors and blaming it on the split screen (mostly the keyboard crashing, even in places where the keyboard isn't used like the settings menu).
Lol, I did factory reset, but still not welcome wizard at all.
would you send me logcat?

Took awhile to get the computer to see the device (computer kept saying "unable to install drivers"). After I got the logs running, I pressed "ok" a few times at the setup wizard place, saved the logs...then the computer lost connection with the device.
Hopefully this log does something good, I'm going back to the Kick version of PAC till something is found.
p.s. for this test, I FC then went straight to installing the new PAC
Yes, I didn't have welcome wizard too when installed PAC. I thought: "wow, how convenient!". I was a bit tired of this wizard when installing many different ROMs.
Installed 20140416 version on top of 20140327. Everything went smooth, no issues so far. Let's test some new governors.

Wheatley governor seems to work as intended. A fine thing, but I still prefer Interactive with second core offline. Less lags, and 1 core with interactive should be less battery consuming than 2 cores with Wheatley? Or not? Will test it someday.
Smartass and smartass2 seems to be not working as intended. Smartass ramps the clock to 816 Mhz and stays on it whole time when the screen is on, Smartassv2 makes the same, but with 1000 Mhz like performance governor.
Also, there is no access to the settings for any of these three governors.

dont you think disable one core makes it bugs?
It works "fine" for me, I mean it changes min to max well when both core enabled.
After new ROM flashed, kernel settings are reset to default, so both cores were enabled. When screen is off, governors are also working fine: gradually slows the CPU and entering deep sleep. Well, maybe, there's some problem on my side because I did no wipe before install. I wasn't going to use smartass anyway.
By the way, thank you for a ROM update!
Would it be possible to get just the kernel? Or apply the updates to grakernel? The PAC ROMs seem inherently unstable, (I call it the "Too Much ****" syndrome) but your unofficial cm11 ROMs are rock solid. Best Glide ROM thus far.

Sorry for not having it , system is not making build complitly i dont understand why, but kernel wokr so in a few minutes i post kernel at the moment
Download kernel linK:http://www.mediafire.com/download/3cyt5bap995580b/AOSPKernelv2.img
Next relase will by based on lastes OMAP4 Github group commits and before my won optimizations , so this makes update to DDK 1.9 and also bug in camera lines and some more free ram much more ram almost a 1024mbs (experimental) on gnex
Also it will befull AOSP i think no features to modify system like batery icon gamma colors at less not in a native way, use kernel audior for get the best of gnex
Lastest build working well no error flashing it just a zip and just it... also there is no line on recorded videos , reocrd works a litle buggy but just when oppening video camera and starting video recording then works well..
Only problem is that there is only 756MB of ram and was supposed to be much more ... it is more clean thsi rom and also a litle more old...

While I'm not using this ROM currently (just flashed Ziyan's Unofficial CM13), what I understand so far is the way to flash Gapps on Android 6.x is you flash the ROM and then immediately thereafter flash Gapps (so they are already installed when the ROM boots up for the first time). As for which Gapps package to install, the opengapps pico package is recommended...
Gapps
For the one's who have problems with gapps.. I've read somewhere that you need a gapps package which comes with "Android System Webview" because somehow google services need that app to add your google account. Otherwise google play services just Fc's. This could be incorrect but at least it worked for me. So you could try the aroma version of opengapps and select the minimal amount of apps but with Webview. I hope this can help..
Great ROM, smooth and stable.
I have installed OpenGapps PICO package because TWRP said NANO package is too large. After boot up, Google Play service repeated FC. So, I have tried general approarch ( delete Google account etc. ), and nothing changed. But I launched Google Keep, it told me that there are lack of permissions with Google Play services. I turned all of permissions ON, then FC stopped immediately. I hope this helps somebody in FC trouble.
In addition, SuperSU and Xposed and GravityBox works fine in my environment. Now I'm very happy with my Galaxy Nexus. Thank a lot, werty100.

PD: I am not having at the moment any issue regarding calls having signal loss like in other marshallow roms

For these 3 days, there is no trouble with this ROM.
Maybe DOZE works fine, battery drains as much as Factory Image's with my usage, 3G at Office, Wifi at home.
So, I don't have a reason to switch to other ROMs.
