why cyanogen does not support hox? - HTC One X

it seems that the all "one" family is just ignored by CM, what is the reason?

There is a cyanogen mod for the One series?
Have you tried LOOKING for it?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1786696

Its not officially supported yet, but like the poster above me said, there are several highly functional unofficial ports. One series is relatively new, if you look at the officially supported list, you would see that the list is relatively short , even some of the other more popular devices like the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note are not there either.

Pretty official, its on their download distribution site.

*facepalm* ...

The box is supported by cyanogenmod, there is already a official cm9 version with nightlies...
And they just started to develop cm10 on the box as you can see here...

facepalm yourself noob.
i'm asking why there isnt an OFFICIAL support to the One family, i saw nightly version of CM9 and unofficial port of CM10, but nobody of you guys say why CM doesnt support our device.
and please before do stupid comment as "Have you tried LOOKING for it?" please look my signature and my join date in this forum...
so if anyone know why please reply, maybe is because we cant still S-OFF or because Tegra3 has bad driver/kernel support?

It is basically down to the the Tegra3 yes, being new and closed source drivers.

How is progress of CM9 coming along?

So many other phones are getting what seems like official CM9 ROMS while we are stuck here with the Kangs and such. So, for the Nexus, how is the progress coming along? Is it almost complete? Any word? I know we aren't supposed to ask for ETA's, but I'm just asking for the progress of it, is all.

that still doesn't answer the question of "when"?
the bugtracker doesn't say anything really.....
"we're working on something"
"yea but...for how long?"
"as long as we feel like it....or maybe we already dropped support for your stupid device and you don't know it yet...mwhahahahaha!"
"yea but...any idea on when can one expect an alpha, pre-alpha, whatever?"
"NO! **** off....rule of CM is don't ask for ETA!"
"oh well, thanks anyway"
"**** off..."
// personally i don't care about CM9
That's most frustrating thing about GN for me. I was hoping to run CyanogenMod as i did on every phone i had. I don't really know why but i had the impression that Nexus phones are first that gets latest updates... My wife is already running pretty stable CM9 on her Desire S and what we have now? Unofficial, experimental build with placeholders instead of CM settings Well, at least it really feels speedy...

SlimICS/SlimJB for Gio?

All,
I've recently discovered these 2 'Slim' ROMs, and was very excited to have done so...
My excitement soon turned to sorrow, however, upon learning that these slimmed down ROMs haven't been ported to Gio.
Now, KUDOS to the developer(s) that created them but wouldn't it have been a good idea to make it so that they can run on lower, less-powerful phones like the Gio? Currently, they only run on much more powerful phones, that have tons of RAM and power. These phones can handle full blown ROMs just fine, the Gio....not so much.
Just a thought.
Man! I wish I could get one of these for my Gio! I'm contemplating trying to install it on my Gio. It's not my everyday phone anyway. I only use it for data usage because I have an INSANE data plan on that phone. I have another phone that I use for calls, etc.
if its currently only for high end devices there's no way coming to gio.

Only kidding bud.
Should I try it on my phone? What to do. What to do.
if its for arm v7(galaxy s and higher, htc desire and higher nexus s and newer , etc theres no way bringing it to gio
I've ported the Slim series, once. But it was buggy for me and i decided to discontinue it (Didn't want to fix the bugs...)

LOL.
Wouldn't have the slightest clue how to do it. Plus, my life is such that I barely have time to sleep as it is.
That being said, is there anyone knowledgeable person who could possibly make a thing ROM (ICS/JB) specifically for the Gio? Any Gio lovers developing still?

I was wondering if someone could make slimdowned versions of ICS and JB specifically for Gio 5660...

nono, i believe he means he wants a port of the slimics series rom, which is also on lg p500 forums, so technically, you are both right
and not barebones, he wants the rom i think but doesnt know it exist on lg500

Thanks all.
Still, any developers feel to work on SlimICS/SlimJB for Gio 5660? Puh-leaseeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!

Porting over MIUI for the LG?

I posted this question a while back and many views but no response. So I'm posting it here hoping to get a response. I was wondering if MIUI will be ported on this phone. I would love to see it on this phone. Any news?
Wrong section. Goes in the Q&A.
Some one went derp
Before any ports we need a full fledged functioning aosp build, once we have that I don't see why a port wouldn't be out of the question. This is just MHO but we don't really need new builds of different versions based off the same broken source. $droyd$ did great ground work on his slim version but till he or others can fix what's broken it seems any new variants have the same issues.
There is already a build out there but its DATA is not working, it is however built for the F400K model.

What @Ducter said. we need a fully working AOSP build for MIUI, because its AOSP based.

That would depend if its a private port or if it is a "offical" miui by xaiomi.
as they tend to do "patchrom" builds, to have the benefit of LG drivers and of the camera etc...
there is no disputing the fact that original manufacturers drivers and firmware for camera and sound etc.. is better on offical roms than CM ports.

MIUI is not always AOSP based. I've used MIUI builds on my HTC OneXL that were Sense based and I've seen them like that on other HTC devices as well. Looks and feels just like AOSP MIUI. Not sure if something like that is possible for other manufacturers though.

Don't remember if it was official but I know it's not a skin or anything. It's full fledged MIUI just using a Sense base. One sec and I'll find the link for the thread.
Here's the link to one of the ones I used on my One XL. I think there was at least one other and I know I've seen it on other HTC devices as well. It would be awesome if something like this could work with the LG firmware.

Yeah, i dont think this is an official build. It looks like OP got MIUI to work with sense & built a rom. Anyways, although MIUI is not my cup of tea (AOKP man myself) it looks pretty awesome. :good:
Hopefully we'll see some other builds in the near future. Im sick of LGs UI & im willing to try anything else.

What's that for a question? Yesterday evening I searched to buy an s3 (cost to much ) and now I am just downloading Ubuntu
Sony Xperia U have the same SoC and it have Lollipop (actually beta). So I think it is possible to port Android 5.0, but my skills are too low to do this
Take a look on the facebook site of nova fusion...
Maclaw (NovaFusion) promised on Facebook to release CM12 for Ace2 (probably not much usable but at least they would try

There is cm12 for s3mini so It's possible for ace2 , i think.
Well, my optimism is answered by one ROM. Unofficial CM12 and I think it's still in ALPHA (though I am using it atm)
I don't know the dev, I think someone mentioned "Polish" and it is using slim's Gapps
Just upgrading from CM11 to unofficial CM12 to try if it's really working and it did
Found it in our General section here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-ace/ace-2-general/cm12-alpha-t2989178
