And (maybe most important) we do not have an active full developer even for CM11 on ACE2 actually, I'm afraid....

Yea yea, the WEB dev

Does someone knows some sites where it is explained how you can build and port new ROMs?

Well, saw a video of someone installed Android 5.0 on Galaxy Ace 3 today and I think it's not that "impossible" to make it happen on our Galaxy Ace 2 anyone is waiting for it as eager as I do? :good:

What's that for a question? Yesterday evening I searched to buy an s3 (cost to much ) and now I am just downloading Ubuntu

Sony Xperia U have the same SoC and it have Lollipop (actually beta). So I think it is possible to port Android 5.0, but my skills are too low to do this

Take a look on the facebook site of nova fusion...

Maclaw (NovaFusion) promised on Facebook to release CM12 for Ace2 (probably not much usable but at least they would try
So... let's check periodically : http://novafusion.pl/

I don't know. I think 1.7 MHz is a little bit slow. Even on an octa core

I'll just leave this here...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2W5ky6UPEjo
(The video isn't mine, I'm just sharing it.)

There is cm12 for s3mini so It's possible for ace2 , i think.

Well, my optimism is answered by one ROM. Unofficial CM12 and I think it's still in ALPHA (though I am using it atm)
I don't know the dev, I think someone mentioned "Polish" and it is using slim's Gapps
Just upgrading from CM11 to unofficial CM12 to try if it's really working and it did
Found it in our General section here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-ace/ace-2-general/cm12-alpha-t2989178
Still waiting for future updates I really REALLY won't ever regret buying this phone years before

There is a cyanogen mod for the One series?
Have you tried LOOKING for it?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1786696
Its not officially supported yet, but like the poster above me said, there are several highly functional unofficial ports. One series is relatively new, if you look at the officially supported list, you would see that the list is relatively short , even some of the other more popular devices like the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note are not there either.

Pretty official, its on their download distribution site.

facepalm yourself noob.
i'm asking why there isnt an OFFICIAL support to the One family, i saw nightly version of CM9 and unofficial port of CM10, but nobody of you guys say why CM doesnt support our device.
and please before do stupid comment as "Have you tried LOOKING for it?" please look my signature and my join date in this forum...
so if anyone know why please reply, maybe is because we cant still S-OFF or because Tegra3 has bad driver/kernel support?

Hi Folks,
Everyone is eager to know "when can we get CM12 on Zenfone 2?".

please..first rule of CM or XDA, never ask for ETA, and never ask or push developers to speed up their work or we will never get any of it..
just keep waiting and when the time has come, they will share it with us..just dont keep asking for ETA please.. and i hope that xda newcomer on zf2 forum must learn this word, NEVER ASK FOR ETA for any development..its a taboo here..

I'm not. Something I learned some time back is that unless the kernel and device tree of the aftermarket ROM (like AOSP, or a derivative like CM) is developed by someone that knows every last nook can cranny of the device (as in the OEM, and I don't imagine that happening), the device won't be optimized out of the gate to provide better battery life than stock.
Hacking a device tree from scratch, rather than building on what the OEM has provided (albeit not knowing what route they are going with this one) spells problems. Of my two devices that I had custom ROMs for, neither worked fully (no matter which ROM you chose) or engaged more hardware (something was always missing or broken) , and the battery life was worse than stock (even with modest OS jump, from stock GB to ICS/CM9).
You can see how I voted, although I am not reserved to stock forever. CM13 or CM14 would be the time I would be interested in something other than stock, when the kernel and device tree becomes mature enough to prove myself wrong regarding the above.
The only thing I like in official FW is "double-tap to wake".
But it's actually not "double-tap to wake" because the phone never sleep.
When I watched CPU state with CPU Spy and found out Deep Sleep state never be used.
The reason why it's drain about 1%/hour even not connecting to anything.

You could follow here if you wanted. I believe the only thing you will get here with regards to CyanogenMod for the ZF2 will be the ROM post/thread when it is ready. I understand what you are getting at. My point was this particular thread should not have been made in the first place. A simple search would have yielded info the OP was looking for (with the exception of an ETA).
Shame on me but never saw any CM rom, not even from distance. Can someone link me some good source of picture/video so I can see some good/cool stuff about CM and decide if it is worth more than ASUS stock rom (which is pretty good by me)?

Galaxy s3 neo will get Android Lollipop.

Samsung France has undoubtedly confirmed that the galaxy s3 neo obtain the update android lollipop. But they say " we don't have any informations about the date of the deployment"
(I CANT SEND THE SCREENSHOT OFF THE CHAT.)
Translation by google:
Elena:
Hello, welcome to Samsung. How can I help you today?
I am listening to you, Mr. G ****
Me:
Hello, I have a question on the Galaxy S3 GT-Neo I9301I.
* I would like to know when he will receive the upgrade Android Lollipop.
Elena:
I understand your request, sir.
*About your question on Android updated "version of Lollipop" on your "Neo Galaxy S3," I inform you that the deployment of the update is planned, but no information about the date for Deployment has been received for the moment. It depends on the distribution channel and also depends from one operator to another.
*Indeed, the date of provision of an update differs from a version of "Galaxy S3 Neo" to another.
To check the availability of a new update, I invite you to do the following: 1) Either via the Service FOTA (Firmware Over The Air): Menu → Settings → About device → Software Update → Update. 2) By connecting your mobile with Samsung Kies application: Download the latest version of Samsung KIES software via this link: samsung.com/fr/support/usefulsoftware/KIES Select "tab to download WINDOWS / MAC "and then click" Download Kies "to install it. After downloading I recommend you restart your computer. Then you connect your device. If there is an official update and available for your product, it will be automatically offered.
Now what is this guys? I invite those who have been so much busy to spread the famous (so called) news that there will be no lollipop update for s3 neo. Why?
Because their country representative of Samsung website or a Samsung page or chat page admin said that.
Wow awesome.
I always said that there is no final answer to this question about lollipop update, we have some time to get that (Samsung support policy ) but no..... no one listened.
It is a good news and thanks for sharing.

OnePlus 5's Oxygen OS 4.5.0

When Will We Get The New oxygen Os 4.5.0 for our OnePlus 3?? It Rockzz Will We Get That In Future???
hahaha being a freeloader myself I came here today explicitly to get an answer to this question. But I am patient and wouldn't ask for an ETA though. It WILL come eventually I know.
Lol, we can be lucky if we still get any updates because the focus is now on the OP5 i bet. I think Android O is the same lie like the OP2 get Nougat back in the days...
But thank god the rom community for OP3 is very big, so we can still get updates through roms.
Well, their software support did improve a lot since OP2 days, so I'd say there is a hope for OOS 4.5 and even 5.0 (Android O).
But I don't expect it to come instantly.
That said, the devices (3/3T and 5) are still quite similar and sources are up, so we'll probably get at least unofficial ports soon.

We already have all features of the oneplus 5 in open beta so i dont think we need 4.5.0 and beta is pretty stable so far. Only thing i am hoping for them to give update to Android O but even if they dont we have a pretty great developer community and will surely get android O from custom roms

It should be similar to the monochromacy mode in simulate color space under Hardware accelerated rendering in Developer settings.
I think updates for the OP3/T may depend on if the 5 does well enough, if it does not do as well then they will prob slow the updates for 3/T like Apple does so u have to get the new version, but if it does as good as the 3 did they will prob keep it updated until next release, which I will prob wait for if they stop jacking up the price almost 100.00 every time

So an update for everyone.... Well I spilled beer on my keyboard.... Can't make this **** up... So I just got a new keyboard( sorry it took a bit) but I've got a new one and back to work. I'm going to attempt lineage first, as they have the most up to date documentation, this will not be 8.0 and even once it's out for us I probably won't go there for a long time as I do not yet have the skills to troubleshoot and provide a reliable rom on a brand new os (for us atleast) so thank you for the patience as I'm doing this with a 1.5 year old who loves to cause chaos, (lol), hope all is well and I will update as I can
