Just the larger battery for me. If I had to pick something else, maybe a screen that can be seen better outside.

The only changes I would make is a slightly larger battery and an extra gig of ram. The s3 pushing the screen size it does still is very smooth on the whole 600+ mb stock rom. That includes touchwiz. I really think that extra gig of ram really aids that.

Material change on the plastic sides. After a week it still feels to slick and I'm sure I'll eventually launch it across the room. That's it- love it.

Bigger battery and keep the same format factor.

+1 Brighter Screen Outside
Improved camera(and/or.. physical camera attachments! yes I'm a dreamer.. lol)
@wado1971, vzw threw in a black silicon case for me(the cheapie sort), figured I'd hate it and bury it in my junk drawer, I've actually grown accostumed to it. A bit thicker phone(not necessarily bad for my bigger hands) but good for grip and still slides in and out of the pocket nicely.

I'd be happy with an unlocked bootloader.

+1

I'd like to see a better panorama mode. Switching off the 6mp widescreen shots to the 8mp mode will distort the picture in panorama mode... Also the fact that I have to swipe right to get to my other homescreens is an absolute pain for someone that is used to having their homescreen in the center.
And probably my biggest pet-peeve is the fact that I can't adjust the notification volume unless I go all the way into system sound settings. Unless I'm completely missing a button to link ringer and notification volumes...
So in summary... I'd like to see a root and stock ICS or Jellybean rom.
EDIT: and by stock I mean un-Blur'd pure Android ROM.

Don't change the form factor that much is perfect, please let us remove the Google search from every home screen.

A better camera, for sure. The higher resolution and corresponding battery bump in the same format factor(understanding it will be a little thicker) would be great

Do you have the Developer Edition Razr M? If so you can unlock it I believe here https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your-device-a

It would be great if Motorola would allow you to move apps to the SD card. The 4GB of internal storage fill up quickly.
It seems that Motorola has locked down all methods of being able to move or edit files on the internal storage in order to limit any root exploits.

I actually don't have either, but I can't afford the developer edition. I love the form factor of this phone, but without an unlockable bootloader, I will not be buying it as my next phone. I'll probably wait for the next Nexus phone

How is the Inc 4G by the way? I'm a bit curious to see how the phone is.
ICS and sense 4 super smooth, camera is great I might sell my DSLR , Size is the main reason I went with it there is an 1/8" in width and 1/4" in height over the original Incredible the redesigned case is nicer to hold also. Battery life is great compared to the original Incredible. Sense 4 requires learning a few interface curves but its all good, not so many redundant menus. I am very happy with it so far I just need to root and get ride of the typical bloat.
My understanding is it is root able but they are still trying to get s-off. Didn't read too much on it, the community there is horribly low. I only recognized andybones too.

so this phone is a nice upgrade over the OG Incredible? only thing i dont like is the screen size. after having my Dinc for a year and a half and seeing all of the new phones with bigger screens it kinda makes me want more.

That's why I didn't jump on the GS3 and am now stuck with buying phones at full retail. The idea of buying a nearly 5 inch phone to me is just stupid.. especially with all these people picking up a Nexus 7.
Tablet's getting smaller.. Phone getting bigger... nearly the same size...
With Edge to Edge glass.. and on screen buttons.. I think 4.3 would be fine (where before those things I would have said 4)
I have started to find somethings that need refinement http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30253227#post30253227

Samsung intends this to be a niche device (a phablet, if you will) while HTC has strongly insisted that the DNA be called a phone. Oh, and by launching only on Verizon, that means I won't be buying it... ever. (T-Mobile fanboy here ... not to mention I save a ton too)

Hahaha! Yea I was thinking it has a higher resolution but yet the battery is weaker than that of the GS3. So either you carry a charger with you all day or have a set of battery extension because its going to drain fast during usage.
Now I wouldn't think about trading my Note 2 for the DNA one bit because both phones pretty much have the same specs. The Note 2 at 720p is already rich in screen resolution. You'll have to stare at it from about half an inch away from the screen to notice the pixels. I'm pretty sure you'll see less pixels on the DNA while staring at the screen from the same distance, but who'll want to do that?. With the Note 2 you can also record videos and take pictures at the same time like the how the HTC always advertise on their phones. Nothing new about that. Now the only down side I see on the DNA is no stylus (many people who hates holding a pencil, let alone writing their name would not care for it at all), no expansion slot (I cannot rely on cloud storage as an alternative), the battery is weak and non-removable (so unlike the Note 2 it is not meant for heavy usage), and finally it's from Verizon (the carrier whom loves to brand the **** out of their phones).
But I don't like to tell people what to get. If any phone they find that suits them, then great and good luck with their new devices. We all win. :good:
EDIT: Forgot to mention that with LTE the DNA will suffer even more on its battery.

I checked out the Note2 again tonight this time only for about 15 min when I stopped by Best Buy & immediately felt like this is such a real huge upgrade from my EVO 4G that I must have it soon. Then I started noticing the whites weren't as white as my EVO & it could be brighter (set to max) & even experienced some lag but I did not have time to do a reboot.
I am curious to see the DDNA, 1080p natural color screen with amazing cameras like the OneX & improved speaker etc but obviously annoyed with battery & sdcard situtation (not a huge fan of all the red styling either but would slap a case on it) yet I will have to check it out. I think the OneX variants are the best "smartphone" display & camera & at 5" DDNA should be impressive (always thought 5" is a great size but the N2 managed its 5.55" amazingly as well & the stylus puts it in its own class).
So do the non-white whites & brightness of the screen around sunlight on the N2 ever bother anyone?

I will admit that the 440ppi and handling of colors is a huge notch against the n2.. the droid however is it a dealbreaker for me...No...does it hurt people who are truly craving that 1080p display and higher color reproduction...it might...Htc decisions to do certain designs and moves on there devices seem to be pushing people away already from what it seems...as well as the fact the series of their devices theyve released is starting to flow the "Apple way"..thats just coming from me though

Well id say the customizability on the stock rom is second to none. Everything down to icons and size on the homescreen can be changed. Looking around this thing ive seen customization options ive never seen on modded roms much less stock. The multitasking with the qslide apps can come in handy here and there. Plus it supports wireless charging out of the box something thats likely impossible on the one due to the aluminum unibody. The camera is better hands down in every review ive seen and while the screen is bigger, it seems brighter and more true to life (only got to play with the one for about 20mins while I waited for a rep at att). Also battery life is amazing I get a full days use no problem. Plus my experience with phones has shown that samsung seriously lacks in build quality and duribility compared to lg. Ive said many times, u wanna see the real difference between lg and samsung take one device from each and throwem down a hallway... while htc has always been a little better, the one seems indestructible lol I spent weeks going between the sgs4, htc one, lgogpro and sony xperia z. Based on the total package and especially price lgogpro is the way to go.

Yes, can confirm, LG is better in terms of h/w, than software updates is their wellknown weakest point
In addition: you get a 1.7 Ghz quad-core CPU, a removable battery, 32 GB of storage with an additional 64 GB available via an SD card slot.
I prefer this phone to the HTC One because of its removable battery and SD card slot.
I prefer this phone to the Galaxy S4 because of its lack of TouchWiz garbage and Samsung shovelware (yes, there is some LG shovelware in this phone, but not much).
Finally, try watching an HD video on this phone's screen. It's almost beautiful enough to make a grown man weep.
I have a one to but its too small coming from the note 2. I used my upgrade and got the g pro. With some mods and tweaks its a great device. If we get this boot loader cracked and get aosp it will be the best device around. I say get it and if you don't like it, trade it in for the one.
The screen on the g pro gets brighter than the one. I have the one and the gpro yeah the one's hardware is sexier sure but the gpro is great for a road warrior like me with that awesome battery. Each phone has its pluses. If u want something that's in between get the s4. I had it for a couple weeks. If u can get past that touchwiz crap it's pretty awesome too. The gpro is my favorite of the 3. That led built into the home button is effing sweet.

Nope. I think the HTC One Max is far too big. I wear pretty slim jeans and I doubt a phablet would fit in my front pockets anyways . Plus, it still has the same Snapdragon 600 and 2GB ram as the regular HTC One. I get plenty great battery life on the HTC One so a larger battery doesn't mean much to me. I also don't like the bezel on the Maxx. I guess its different since the back can be removed, but I think it looks pretty ugly. Reminds me of the bezel on the HTC One mini.
I could totally see why someone would be interested in the large screen, but I personally think 4.7" is perfect for my needs.
The HTC One Max will hopefully be unlock-able by Sonic, to
1) bring them S-OFF
2) get him some credits used to recoup some moneys
would I EVER use a phablet like this? hell no.
5.9 is just insane. 5 would be the largest I think I could use. Anything over just doesn't appeal to me.
Nope. The One is the perfect size for my needs.
ill prolly get one, as long as i can afford it. the fingerprint scanner i have no opinons of yet,but i love the size. i was a disapointed when the one went down in screen size from the dna,so im lookin forward to it.
i hear from someone whose played with one that they are pretty sweet
The One is perfect for me. No need for more.
Personally I think a 6 inch phablet is too big to go in and out of pockets regularly, I would rather keep using my One and get something like the Nexus 7 for the kind of things phablets are used for. I went from the HTC Incredible to the One, that is 3+ years of the same phone and lets be honest the Incredible really is an incredible phone. The only reason I waited so long to get a new phone was because the android phones Verizon was offering were all too big and too fat. Who wants to have something that requires your pants to be altered for the device to fit in your pocket??
After hearing it has pretty much identical specs with the exception of a larger screen, I'd almost only consider it a sidegrade. If it had a snapdragon 800 and a bit of extra fancy stuff I'd take it, but its literally a large HTC one with no real benefit except for the fingerprint scanner and bigger battery :/
So if I were to get a phablet I'd get the note 3, but the HTC One is perfect for me .

I thought I had read that it was coming with the Snapdragon 800, but on re-reading the specs I will agree fully. If the camera or SoC were upgraded, I would upgrade. But a larger version of my One just isn't enough for me to pick it up. Like mentioned, I wouldn't say no if someone gave me one or if I just found a really great deal on one. But my next HTC device better have a snapdragon 800 under the hood!
nope, HTC One with bigger screen, bigger battery, but apparently, most will only get 16gb of storage. SD card is nice, but on my note 2, I was frequently running out of internal storage and sd card swap just seems like a bad idea to me. Even the fastest cards can't match internal storage read/write speeds.

Flex for the N3??

So here is a question...my friend has the Flex..and wants to see if I would do a trade for my N3 (rooted and running ROM of course)...
The few differences that are making it difficult are: 1GB extra RAM on the Note, the SD Slot, the denser screen, not sure about camera difference quality or not..
What do you guys think? Yes or no?
Discuss
I know I wouldn't do it; the Note 3 is better in all aspects except the screen size and aspect; the flex has less pixel density though, multiwindow is bugged, camera is worse etc. Not a Samsung fanboy by any means but after trying both I can tell you that I like the Note 3 much better. It's up to you though.
+ the flex is HUGE. Next to no ROM development. Don't jump unto something just because it's new, don't mean it's innovating

I wouldn't do it. I've had both phones and the note 3 is quite a bit better for the reasons mentioned above. The screen on the flex was hard to look at compared to the notes crisp clean pixel density, the flex screen almost looked blurry and it was hard to look at after being on the note. The flex I had seemed to have had a image that was burnt into the screen also which made me pretty mad. All in all keep your note!!!

You be insane to do that trade. I had the flex as back up and cancled it. Lg takes up quite a bit of your memory. Camera sucks. It just not worth it. If you really want the flex the flex silver should be coming out in a few monyhs and it has sd card and more memory faster chip vetter camera software

I dont trust LG.
Had to many problems in the pass. they half ass stuff then do nothing about fixing any problems. Just tell you to buy another phone.
So with that said i wouldnt get the phone.
The note 3 beats it anyway.
If your still unsure then look at some dog fights of the phones side by side and your see what comes out on top.
