[Q] Note II Accessories? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

Does anyone know any specifics on Samsung branded and third party accessories such as docks and extended batteries? I plan to use my Note II pretty heavily for games and movies and I think even a 3100mAh battery won't be enough to support my needs. I know the original Note had a third party 5400mAh battery with a replacement backplate (with a kickstand), and I'm hoping to find similar for the Note II at some point.
Similarly, if no extended battery, I'd like to find a Samsung dock for both car and home. (One for GPS/Music in the car, and the other as a desk clock for home)
Also, the developer section is pretty empty right now. This is the first time I've gone for a phone at launch. How quickly does development usually pick up for these kinds of devices? I'm hoping to have root as soon as possible so I can get Titanium Backup and restore some stuff from my CM10 Epic 4G. (Both the CM10 Epic and Note II are Android 4.1, so backups should be mostly compatible)

Check the Accessories forum for the Note II N7100. Those forums are much more lively, and the accessories are 100% interchangeable.

I caught that too, I wonder what the hell that means - anyone?
I really want to buy this too, looks gorgeous and does exactly what I want!
Really nice looking that one!
Clove a one that does the same thing, 5 pounds cheaper, but not quite nice looking. Shame they also do not have the extra batteries in stock...
...and I agree - you've got to love a picture of the phone in the dock with the phone showing itself overclocked
I guess it might be a typo or maybe this is designed for the Optimus 2x but the Galaxy S II fits as well especially since the Optimus 2X also has the microUSB port at the sae location.

I thought about that too and the likeliness of the USB placement being similar is high, however, I'd be surprised if the batteries lined up perfectly...?
Or maybe this is the other way around, its a stand designed for the S II and fits the 2x as well. So battery individual charging might not be there.
The same thing is available without the spare battery charger

It looks and is great!
The price is awesome too.
I ''ll hit it!!!
It doesn't seem like they ship to US
its a nice dock i suppose you gotta take the case off your mobile everytime you put your phone in the dock..
Hi everybody.. I will be owning Samsung Galaxy SII later and
I am searching this kind of device. Unfortunately, it is still no stock.
Also, I have been searching and find something similiar in: Anymode Charging Dock with Stand for Samsung Galaxy S II i9100 (w w w . exportprive . com/anymode-charging-dock-with-stand-samsung-galaxy-i9100-p-16205 .htm).(erase all spaces to open). However when I am going to order from export prive, there is *** beside it and it says "Products marked with *** dont exist in desired quantity in our stock.
You can buy them anyway and check the quantity we have in stock for immediate deliver in the checkout process.". What does it mean? Does it mean out of stock? I only intend to order one and from the availability (48 hr), Available under 48h
Items are in stock and ready to be shipped. So, what does it actually mean?
Can you find other alternative to that? Thx!
Hi.. I have just found another altrernative: Samsung Galaxy S II i9100 USB Desktop Cradle with 2nd battery slot by Mugen POWER BATTERY. Is it good? Is the website reliable? Thx!

I would love to know this even with Samsungs original case?
Has anyone found a stand that can support it?
Just ordered one, hope it works as well as it looks
@Venomqld & Lembo : You probably do need to take the case off, however there are stands/cradles that come with interchangeable cradle sizes so you can charge it and dock it without having to take the case off, I'll try to find the link for it.
Edit: the link to the dock I was talking about can be found in this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1072200&page=5
Page 5 , you will find pictures there.
If only that had a DC jack on the back as well, I'd snap that up.
Hi,
Have recently ordered a SGS2 and the below dock. Will let you know how the dock holds up when I receive it.
BMCdigital Dual Desktop USB Charge/ Sync Dock And 1800mAh Battery For Samsung i9100 Galaxy S 2

edit: Can't post links yet as I am not old skool enough
How did you find the dock and battery mate? Thinking of buying one, bonus is their premises is just round the corner!

Car-dock with original car-dock mode - last call from iBOLT...

Hello all Galaxy S3 users. As many of you know the Galaxy S3 appears to be the last (?) Samsung phone that supports true "car-mode". There are at least four major benefits with Car-dock mode:
1. When the phone is inserted into a car-dock the icons on the home screen can turn to horizontal position.
2. An "docking App" like iBOLT Dock'n Drive, CarHome Ultra or Ulysee Speedometer can be installed as the new "home screen".
3. Sound from Apps (music & gps) can be routed through the microUSB to the car-stereo making it possible to have ONE cable connection for both charging and aux-out to car-stereo.
4. A separate "home dock" App can be used when "docking" the S3 in the home or office environment.
In newer handsets, like the S4 and Note II Samsung have combined the "car-dock" and the "home-dock" mode into one, referred to as "DockMode" only. The main differences is that icons on the home screen does not turn horizontally and you can not have a separate Docking App for home and car. See YouTube video here.
We here at iBOLT (lots of threads on XDA...) are now down to less then 3K units of the S3 car-dock with "car-dock" mode and we just wanted to let you know that they are lowered to $24.95, from $39.95 on Amazon, see here. Feel free to reach out to me and ask questions about the dock-mode, docking apps etc. and I'll do my best to answer.

Ughh, too bad Amazon won't ship this item to Canada. All vendors in Canada have this dock for $45+, including amazon.ca...
To bad they won't fit aftermarket cases.
Will that work with the Zerolemon 7000 battery?

sorry, only the xProDock is compatible with the Zerolemon 7000 battery. Search under "xProDock" on Amazon or AndroidCentral and you'll find it... Thanks! MP

I use the iBolt with a Ditztronic TPU case on my SGS3 and it fits just fine. The iBolt has worked better for me than any of the generic docks I've tried. Unfortunately, the (ridiculously long) usb cable provided with the unit has started to fail after 7 months of normal usage.

Yes it will...maybe. It looks just like the Rezound car dock. I kept my old Rezound's dock and my s3 with the 7000mAh battery fits perfectly. Just had to remove the dock's charging connector.
If it doesn't fit, as the OP says, I would just order one for the rezound.

Used Galaxy Tab S, what to look out for?

I'm looking at picking up a used Galaxy Tab S 10.5. I was planning to use it mostly as an E-reader for my morning commute and to view pictures from SD media / browse the web. After looking around this tablet seems like the best bang for my buck used. I've been considering both at a T-mobile variant, but I'm also considering Sprint, since I am on one of their MVNOs. Are all US providers using T807?
Just wondering what I should look out for, and how to check them out. Here's some things I can think of, but not sure if they exist or not:
Worn charging port.
Battery issues
Manufacturing defects.
Boot loops. ( If non stock upgrade? )
ESN
Locked Bootloader / Carrier Locking
T805 vs T807
etc.
Anybody have a list or reference of things to look out for with this model, possibly how to check it out?
Also wondering about the differences between the versions. It appears that there are some basebands available. Then http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/general/t705-marshmallow-bootloaders-t3477462 . Then can a T805 be flashed to a T807 and vice versa, maybe for international travel?
The T807 has an locked bootloader so you cannot flash any roms or maybe even root, So the T805 would be the one to buy, but do you really need cell as it uses battery power, if not get the T800.
If the T8XX looks physically OK, and runs OK, the battery is the main thing to look at, But replacement battery are quite cheap at from $10 if you can fit it yourself, it looks easy in YouTube video`s
John.
That's too bad nobody has figured out how to unlock the bootloader since the device has been around for quite awhile. It looks to be around a factor of 2 times more expensive when I look for a 805 vs 807. I do think it's useful to have a cellular available as an option. But you have made a good point.
The 10.5 Tab S is still slightly too heavy for web browsing or ebook reading if you need to hold it in your hand all the time (it's like 450grams). I mean, it sure works a lot better for this purpose than any Microsoft Surface tablet, which are really thick and heavy for a tablet, but lighter tablets exist, for example Tab S2.
And S has a wide screen, which is less optimal for ebook or web browsing. For these reasons, I'd look for the smaller 8 inch Tab S which weights under 300grams, or more preferably for a Tab S2 model.
Since its an OLED, look out for burn in.
Worn charging port. and battery issue. Beside that they are quite tough. This is why i refrain from testing too much, the USB port is not made of super steel, it's starting to talk to me saying : give me a break !
Have a look at the magnetic microusb adapters, they just clip in, I have one on my T800 and it works great, no more port wear.
There are a few different brands available, also different widths if you use a case, the link below is just an example.

I ended up purchasing a T807P, since I will be able to use it with my wireless provider. Thanks for the feedback. The magnetic charging cable seems like a great idea. Looking forward to the arrival of my tablet.
Anybody using theirs in car for navigation? Any mount recommendations?

Samsung Keyboard Dock for N-8010

I know it's a long shot, but if anyone has the keyboard dock for the n-8010 that you're no longer in need of, I'm interested in purchasing one. I believe it's Samsung part EKD-K14AWEGTGY or perhaps EKD-K14UWEGSTD would work as well.
All of the docks in eBay are for Galaxy Tab 10.1 and those won't work.
Hi, I have one. I bought it a few years ago, but I think you will be disappointed: is almost useless. When you connect the dock, the soft keyboard always comes up (at least with the original rom). This is very annoying. I don't know if it works better with other roms. Maybe I know that soon, because I am fed up with the original rom: more and more websites don't work properly anymore. I'm trying to install Lineage, but I still have to do some reading...
Oh, and if I remember well, the key buttons are of poor quality: often you will get a character twice. Like this: Hoow aare youu?
But I do live in the Netherlands, so that's a long way for you.
Ffonz.
If you do make the change to Lineage, you'll have a feature that will allow you to quickly switch the on screen keyboard on and off. It's a good OS and I am happy with it. By now, I'm almost ready to replace my Note 10.1 with something that has more than 16gb of storage, even though I still like this tablet.

s7 edge charges wirelessly in a note 7 samsung battery Backpack & a note FE doesn't??

s7 edge charges wirelessly in a note 7 samsung battery Backpack & a note FE doesn't??
Hey, not exactly an expert with smartphones, but have sold phone accessories for the past couple of years. Due to this I obviously noticed that there was an awful lot of note 7 accessories selling extremely cheaply. So I thought id get a not FE as it has the exact same dimensions and could get some excellent accessories for it (seriously, this was my primary motivation for buying the phone). Unbeknownst to me Samsung has blocked its not 7 accessories from working with the note FE, absolute nightmare. Petty and childish if you ask me.....
unfortunately I had already purchased a note 7 backpack for my FE which clearly does not work, however if I sit a galaxy s7 edge in it, it charges fine, just like any qi charger. This makes me think that if I root the note fe the backpack may work with it?
Is this correct or am I completely wrong?
If anybody has any experience of using the note 7 backpack with a rooted note fe it would be great to hear from you. I will happily root the phone just to use the backpack, plus the Korean preinstalled apps are annoying.
Thanks in advance for any help which is greatly appreciated
Yes. That would be the case. It's not that the accessories won't work with the note FE. Note FE actually supports it, it's just that it is disabled from the software. You can root and take a look if you can re enable it again. I dunno if there is thread talking about it, but you can look it up. Good Luck
Check it with new software update which is comes recently i mean on oreo weather it charge or not with this software
Never got the chance to use Note 7's wireless charging case, however s6 edge+'s wireless charging cover works fine, so it's probably disabled from software, also where were you able to buy the case, the ones i found were either ridiculously expensive or not on stock.

Did root the phone work ??[/QUOTE]
XDA member, KAL26, and me noticed that if note FE put normally in the "note 7 OEM battery case", it will charge for a few seconds, then show wireless charging paused, but if the phone put in plastic back case like that show in the attached photos, and rested perpendicularly on the OEM note 7 charging case, (or at particular angle; see attached photos) the phone charges with no issues or interruptions
I think samsung has changed the position of the wireless receiver in note FE, Or
another possibility is that note FE is able to detect the note 7 OEM battery case by particular sensor(s) (most probable magnetic field sensor) and forced wireless charging to puse. if this idea is true, then one can make the OEM battery case works by disabling such sensor(S) using certain apps such as ([XPOSED] Sensor Disabler) from google play, but unfortunately, this app needs rooted device, my device is un-rooted thus i can't check this idea
waiting for expert explanations and opinions
Did you update your Note-FE to Android 9? In my opinion, this battery case can only be used on Note FE which run on Android 7......
I tested my Note-FE which could use this back pack with no issues and ran on Android 7 ,but my machine couldn‘t use this because my device usually run on Android 8,Android 9 or Android 10 !
