2nd Note for $66 - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

Pre-ordered 1st note for $175(100 premier discount and $25 instant credit). Ordered a second note for my wife Saturday night also for $175.
Today I found out that At&t has a promotion going on where if you buy 1 Samsung Galaxy Phone you get $100 off second phone. So I called At&t customer care and nicely asked about this. They confirmed the promotion then issued a $109 credit to my account.
YMMV...Good Luck!

how the heck did you get it for $75? I didn't know about the Saturday offer from T-Mobile.
I guess I should have clarified my statement... $188 is the regular price Sam's Club is selling the phone.

you've gotta try those damn tmobile reps one at a time until one gives in.
the first rep i spoke with, she was willing to offer me buy 1 get the second free and i said no.
then the next day i called again and this time the rep gave it to me for 47.99 for 1 and i took it. then she said i have to pay $77. i said taxes are not that high, but she said they have to charge taxes on the full price of the phone. i thought about it and took it anyway. i think i got the price cause she said i had $250 phone credit since i was eligible for an upgrade.

I went to the T-Mobile website that was linked in the article and found that this is not really a good deal. This is advertised for new customers.
You have to pay $200 down on the sgs 2 and pay $20 over 20 months with a value unlimited plan. That is $600 then you mail in the $150 rebate card bringing the total to $450.
I'd rather pay $188 for an upgrade. But I am gonna try calling customer service again and see if I can get it for cheaper first.

Went to local Sam's and they have lowered the price to $148 for new contracts and upgrades. Tag still said $188 but when she double checked it was $148.

Tasks AOKP ROM is nice. I use it as my daily driver, but it has a few little bugs.
Most of which I can live with. My only real complaint with it is that the Voice Dialer doesn't work through bluetooth.
Other than that its superb.

I saw it at radio Shack for $99 after I paid $199 at at&t, called them up and told them about it. They informed me that they don't offer price matching.
I informed them I would just return the phone and go buy it from the shack.
They promptly credited my account $100.
So apparently anyone can get it for $99 if they are willing to work with a customer service representative.
Hope this helps people get credited

Tell me how it goes, because I really want this phone but I need it to be $99.
There was a thread about someone getting a gs3 for $99 from actually calling att and talking to a rep. I read this and called att myself. I bought mine for 199 at the store. So I called 611 and talked to someone. Told them I have been with att for a long time and felt I deserve the same price treatment as the person who got it for 99. Lady said how about 100 credit on bill. I said cool. Next thing I know it was only a 25 dollar credit. Week later I called again cause had issues with activating wife's new iPhone. After getting that resolved I told them about when I called last time and thought I was getting 100 dollar credit but only got 25. Somehow the guy this time hooked me up and gave me 2 different credits. An 80 and 28.50. And my other 25 he didn't take off. Said he wasn't going to. So all three credits took effect and I got 133.50 credit on my bill. So its like I got my gs3 for 66.50. Can't complain about that.

I got mine from at&t for 99.99 I called in and told them I saw people getting it for a 99.99 and asked if I could get the same deal, the csr had to get a manager/supervisor override but was very nice and helpful.

I bought mine from Frys Electronics last week for $150. Then I called AT&T and complained about the trouble I had activating it (spent 2 hours in the store on the phone, eventually had to go to an actual AT&T store). Even though there were no notes on the account, they issued me a $25 loyalty credit and waived the $36 upgrade fee. I didn't ask for anything more than waiving the upgrade fee, but they were very understanding of what I went through. I would highly recommend calling customer service if you aren't afraid to complain.

I suspect the earliest we could expect to see the price drop to $99 with a contract is Christmas. More likely scheduled around S4 release.

Used a family member's employee discount, $0 + tax on the full price (I think), no contract
I paid $471.91 after tax with a 2 year contract extension! Freaking Bay Area prices are outrageous. Then I get a $50 mail in rebate, which will knock it down to $421.91. Absurd I tells ya! Why is there such a huge price difference between one store and another?
You live in a state that charges tax on retail. Only 2 other states do the same. Everyone else gets tax on what is paid. Hawaii may be the 4th state to do this. So far we have been lucky, but not sure for how long.
I got the unlocked marble white from handtec for about 750$ when they first had it in stock, and the Titanium Gray from t-mobile at retail price + tax for 700$ Titanium gray is my favorite

Bought mine Dec. 28 from the Tmo website: $650 no contract. Activated on the $30 a month plan - no contract, unlimited web and text, but only 100 min/mo voice. I use MagicJack+ for my home phones, so I put the MJ app on the T889. Now I have unlimited voice calls via MJ. So $30/ mo, unlimited everything, no contract....GREAT!. BTW, I totally LOVE the Note 2...fantastic piece of engineering creativity. Its my first Android/Linux device and I'm loving the OS and enjoying the learning curve since I found XDA which is also GREAT.

They received my rebate form on 12/13/2012. I just saw a note a few days ago that the rebate card was mailed -- "shipped" -- on 1/3/2013. I had not received it as of yesterday, so I just called the rebate center. I was told to "allow 15 days from the shipped date" for the card to arrive. They must be sending it from the Moon...
In other words, I'd allow at least five or six weeks to receive your rebate.
Wow, slow process, I was thinking of putting those $200 towards another phone for my wife, she thinks the note is to big. Hopefully everything goes right as I have never sent rebates before.

We sent in our rebate 11/17 and just received the card today, 1/12. They sure love to take their time.
Usually takes about 6 weeks. I'm still waiting on mine. I just received a email last week saying that they had just got my request. I'll see how long it'll take to actually get to me.
I'm still waiting for the $300 from thanksgiving, but the $50 one we ordered in early December is already here. According to the t-mobile, it just depends on how many rebates they received for that time period.
since when is the rebate $200?
i got my note2 two weeks ago and the offer was a $175 rebate from T-Mobile.
when i got my Galaxy S2 i got a $50 rebate and it said it would take 6-8 weeks but got it in about 3. just sit tight... it'll arrive when u stop expecting it.

We got 2 Note 2s around Nov 17. Sent in the 2 $200 rebates about a week later. Rebates arrived about a week ago. I took them into the bank to trade them for cash before downgrading my plan, just in case T-Mo decided to get sneaky with me.

Most banks, just take in card and talk to teller or customer service. Activate it and give it to them for cash or deposit into your acount. Hope that helps.
