2 year Squaretrade warranty for $90 - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

Coupon code for 30% off warranty plan:
17B904H104L
I bought the 2 year warranty with accidental damage coverage for $90. The deductible for replacement is $100. Their customer service is awesome, and I've read good things about their repair/replacements.

I heard people would get 40% off this coming BF.

Already doing Best Buy warranty, but thanks for posting this. Sounds like a good deal.

I would recommend to switch to your carriers warranty or any insurance that covers stolen/lost. I had Bestbuy's warranty and they do not cover stolen phones, at the time I had bought a brand new iPhone 4 and it was stolen after a week of having it. Bestbuy told me I was SOL...
Does Squaretrade cover stolen phones?

It does not cover lost or stolen. It covers damage or problems after the manufacturers warranty is over. I bought this through Amazon this week for 99 for my Galaxy Note 2. I usually do not buy warranties but received a $100 Amazon gift card for a work contest. So I decided to get the 2 year accident warranty. Nice thing is it can be transferred with the phone!

Do you get a new phone or refurb if phone is accidentally broken beyond repair?

I got 35% off codes via SNAIL mail. Got a card with 3 of them on it.

Squaretrade vs. Ensquared insurance for imported GN

Just received my GN from Expansys a few days ago (I'm in CA) and I'm looking for the right insurance for it. Does anyone have any advice on which one to go with? Do they both cover grey market devices? Does anybody have any experience with either one?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
I called sqauretrade about my imported GN... They said that they might not cover it because it is a black market products... He said that if you can get it serviced in America, then they could cover it. But if you need to send it out of the country in case of a repair, it sounded like they won't warranty the product.. I use sqauretrade for all my new appliances so I know their good, I would just give them a call and tell them you have a imported phone...
Squaretrade will NOT cover this phone.
Ensquared will.

Bought my square trade warranty online... bummer if they won't honor my warranty. I listed where I bought the phone. Its not black market its grey market. The site will insure eBay products so this doesn't make any sense. If I could use the Samsung warranty I would never have needed this! Nothing in their agreement said anything about not insuring my phone.

Negri will warranty the phone for 1 year, but they just send it to Sammy for you.
This ensquared warranty sounds interesting as I emailed SquareTrade back when I first bought it and they said they would NOT cover it.
This is definitely interesting. Does anyone have any experience with Ensquared? I have never even heard of them...

I wonder if squaretrade will honor a claim on my GN. It is purchased from Dailysteal, and the item page says nothing about imported, US plug charger inside the box. I even uploaded the receipt and it says approved on the warranty page.
same here. They have the receipt and everything. My phone is Korean with a little banding but it gets great banding and UV/of well so I'm just going to keep it. Would have rather had the Chinese made model

That has nothing to do with anything. If it is not a Verizon Galaxy Nexus it came from Europe, whether your charger is US or not.
There was a huge thread on this in Q&A a while back and Squaretrade will not cover a GSM Galaxy Nexus.
Hmmm i'm looking at the ensquared one for my Canadain Nexus. I mean that seems to be a good price for insurance i just never heard anything about them. Can anyone vouch for them ?
Guys, I really don't think Ensquared covers the international GN.

I honestly really don't see any company offering insurance for a grey market item. The only way I see to have a warranty is through Negri or Expansys, who will physically handle the phone for warranty work in the UK.
This morning I had to place an insurance claim for my Galaxy Nexus with Ensquared. They took the claim and said I should have the new device within 1-2 business days. I'll keep you guys updated.

Yes and $75.
Damnit, I just bought a Squaretrade warranty through eBay for my GSM Gnex. If they don't cover it, is there any way to cancel my warranty?
EDIT: Just got off the phone with Square Trade. They said since my phone was purchased on eBay it will be covered under their warranty. *phew*
I bought the phone through newegg, and purchased their 1 year ADH phone warranty, is that good, or did i make a mistake?

SquareTrade vs. Ensquared

Now I understand that there have been quite a few threads on insurances companies but I want to know what you guys went for and why.
SquareTrade covers everything except lost and stolen but i have seen exceptional reviews with them
-They require you to buy their insurance within 30days
-$69 for 1 year (Coverage up to $750)
-$99 deductible
Ensquared does cover lost and stolen and I have seen decent reviews with them.
-They require you to buy their insurance within 90days
-Claims all phones are replaced NEW
-$58.99 for 1 year (Coverage up to $1000)
-Max of $75 deductible on any smartphone
I've read much on SquareTrade but i havent found much on Ensquared in terms of reviews. If anyone does have experience with Ensquared that would be nice. Insurance that covers lost and stolen is golden.
Now there are other companies too such as Negri and Asurion. I've read Negri is unreliable with their umbrella insurance company. Asurion is okay but doesnt cover every carrier.
Input would be great. Remember, we all just want to secure our investments
Also interested. I have a coupon for square trade, but ensquared is tempting with those prices.
Att/Asurion is pushing it with that $200 deductable
I wouldn't recommend Ensquared. Here's why.

Had a friend use Ensquared. She had a At&t Samsung Captivate, lost it, and filed a claim. They sent out a brand new international S2 as a replacement (when they were JUST released).
She later found the Captivate, and they told her she can go ahead and keep both phones. Cool.

That's on par with today's plans, and they have nearly doubled the purchase price and has doubled the deductible! There's got to be a better solution here, especially when we all baby the crap out of these phones and only have an accident every 5-6 warranties or something....
I haven't had any experience with those two companies, but might I suggest you look into Best Buy? Within the initial 30 days you can add it. Its $9.99 a month, they don't cover lost or stolen, but don't have a deductible. I've used them on my Original Galaxy S II, when the screen broke they shipped it off and then gave me the cash value. I used the in store cash value to get the Skyrocket. Anyway, just an idea!
I think I'm gonna go with ensquared lol

so anyone getting squaretrade on their Gnote?

squaretrade is around $100 with coupon...which is 1/6 of the gnote's price. typically, that ratio for me is about 1/4 the cost of the phone, so it never seemed worth it. my current phone is the evo shift, which i don't think has gorilla glass, and amazingly, doesn't even have a scratch on the screen.
apparently, i'm very careful with my device (even on the second leg of the 2 year contract when i'm less careful with it). so i'm considering whether or not insurance is a sucker's bet or a good investment on this one.
what route did you guys go with?

With S. T. You can always return the unused portion of your warranty. If you buy a 2year warranty and sell the phone after a year and do not choose to include it in the sale then log on and you return the half you haven't used time wise

Sprint can keep their warranty for $11/mo. I'm now paying less than $5/mo with SquareTrade.

They can send you a new or refurbished depending on your luck. Of all my experience I have only heard, with own ears (and they kept their promise), Google, say that they only replace their warranty claims with new devices.
Well my girl ended up recieving a brand new replacement in sealed box with all accessories, which I thought was cool. Thank you guys for the replies and im thinking all replacements are new or refurbished according to reason for claim.
Every refurbished replacement I have gotten so far (all android phone historically) have come with a defect and I call Asurion and then they overnight a brand new one.
Sorry if I should have started a new thread, but it is insurance related.
My wife dropped her phone and cracked the screen.
It's an s3.
We pay the $7 or so per month for insurance, but they want a $150 deductible.
Is this how it works?
And if I'm paying a deductible, I want a brand new phone, not a refurbished old one.
Thanks.

I just read in a thread on the S3 page that asurion is replacing broken S3s with new LTE S3s due to stock issues. Make sure you don't put the sim card in an old phone before you call and make the claim, they will switch the insurance to that phone. If you already have put the sim in the broken phone and run it that way for a day or two. Asurion can tell.
Check the last posts of the linked thread. Some of the thread is sketchy but some of it is able to be used legitimately.

When buying from third party instead of Google

How do warranty issues get handled? All my previous nexus devices have been from the play store. If bought from Walmart or best buy, are warranty issues handled any differently? Usually I called Google support directly for replacements.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Google takes care of their own customers.
Anyone else deals with ASUS directly.. A fairly unpleasant thing from what I've heard.
If you buy from Walmart, however, they sell a 2 year drop and spill warranty for $28 (with purchase) that's eerily similar to Square Trade.

I'll have to check on that damage warranty, reason I'm in the marker for a new one. Have to check on cost of square trade too in order to compare price, because I'm thinking it would be much easier to deal with Google on non damage related warranty issues.

For the first year, for manufacturing defects, yes. After that, IDK.
Bad part, and a personal example: after 3 months mine developed a bad charge cord.
Google wanted me to send everything back, including the perfectly functioning tablet, just to replace the defective cord.
They were incredibly nice, but their policy is incredibly dumb.

Man I'm glad I turned down Best Buy's extremely overpriced coverage. I used my Discover card and same thing, it extends mfr. warranties by a year on all warranties of 36 months or less.
Damn wish I knew Walmarts plan was so cheap.
A 32gb plus 2 year square trade is $330, at Walmart this would be $300.
But insurance is for suckers anyway right?
And I just looked it up, the CC (Chase freedom MC) I bought my tablet with offers extended warranty coverage as well. Just saved me $60! But that doesn't cover accidental., I'll just be careful.
