update your device to the last Asus Firmware 10.4.2.18 ;
install TWRP 2.3.1.0 recovery ( via fastboot method -> fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash recovery twrp.blob ) ;

go to TWRP recovery and choose Install !
Now you have rooted the last Asus Firmware 10.4.2.18 !

Hi !
Normally, sure you can ....
- but to prevent any unexpected forcing closed ( FC ) app , my advice is to wipe cache and dalvik-cache before installing any update !
( by wipeing cache and dalvik-cache you will not lose your settings in your device ! ).

The file downloads with the .001 file tag after the zip and won't decompress. If I take away the .001 and try to decompress then its empty. Any thoughts?

.001 with 7zip ! , sure you will find after that archive.zip!

10.4.2.18 is the latest, released within the past 2 weeks, should be on the Asus site as that's how I updated.

II . BACK-UP STOCK ROM/ ROM DUMP :
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
1) ROOT is necessary. It is recommended to put the phone in 'Airplane mode' so that it won't disturb the process and make sure you have ~500 mb space in SD card.
2) Download 'BackUpTools.rar' from Tools Box (scroll down) or attachments and extract it to your SD Card. You'll have 2 folders - 'gscript' and 'Install'.
3) Install 'GScriptLite.apk' from gscript folder.
3) After installation, open the 'GScriptLite' application -> Menu -> Add Script.
4) Tick 'Needs SU ?'
5) Click 'Load File' and select 'Back23.sh' and then select 'save'
6) Now Click on 'Back 23' and Super User will ask for Permission and allow it. Nothing more to touch. Wait for few minutes. After few mins, it will say 'Auto Close is Cancelled'. Now its safe to close.
7) Your Back-Up will be in 'backup_' folder located in your SD card's root.
It will have files named ' firmware.info, preloader.img, nvram.img, seccnfg.img, uboot.img, boot.img, recovery.img, secstatic. img, misc.img, logo.img, expdb.img, cache.img, system.img, data.img' in that folder. Copy it to your computer and keep it at a safe place. More Over if you are posting in the forums or sharing it online, don't include ' data.img, cache.img and nvram.img' as they contain your personal information.

III . RECOVERY :
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Default android recovery lacks few important features such as 'Back-up/Restore', 'Partition SD' etc.
Here is a working recovery that can be replaced with your default recovery.

It is a very useful recovery with many features. It is a must if you want to mod your phone !
Downloads: download from the Tools Box or attachments.
Installation Instructions:
Extract the downloaded 'Modded Recovery.zip' to you SD card. It will have a *.img file.
Download and install MobileUncle Tools. Get it from Tools Box or attachments !
Install and open MobileUncle Tools -> Get Started -> Flash Recovery from SD -> Select the extracted *.img file. Allow it when it asks for SuperUser permission. It should take less than few minutes. Enjoy the new features !
IMPORTANT TIP: After installing modded recovery, do a full a nandroid backup.
Intructions: Go to Recovery mode[HOME button + Volume Up + Power Button] -> Backup/restore.
[IMP: NOT WORKING]ClockWorkMod [CWM] Recovery(China-Iphone.ru):
It is claimed that it works with every MTK6573, 650mhz, Android 2.3 (B63M) device.It is not working with our device. No problem. Modded recovery will do everything for you !
Download (AT YOUR OWN RISK): download from the Tools Box or attachments.
Same installation instructions. Even if you try this and it doesn't work, don't get afraid. Boot normally and flash MODDED RECOVERY through MobileUncle Tools ! Enjoy !

You can flash this kernel in stock JB Firmware 10.4.2.13 !
How root your device after flash this kernel :
connect USB cable ;
push su in system/xbin & Superuser.apk in system/app :
> adb shell
# mount -o remount,rw -t ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 /system
# exit
> adb push su system/xbin/
> adb push Superuser.apk system/app/
> adb shell
# chown 0.0 /system/xbin/su
# chmod 06755 /system/xbin/su
# chmod 0644 /system/app/Superuser.apk
# exit
> adb reboot
Now your device will have root access !
How install busybox for init.d support :
conect USB cable ;
push busybox in system/xbin :
> adb shell
# mount -o remount,rw -t ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 /system
# exit
> adb push busybox system/xbin/
# chown 0.0 /system/xbin/busybox
# chmod 0755 /system/xbin/busybox

Download this kernel boot.blob.jar with init.d support !
connect USB cable ;
put your device in fastboot mode ;
and type :
> fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash boot boot.blob
( wait to flash new kernel ! )
> fastboot -i 0x0B05 reboot
Mirror insecure & init.d kernel boot.blob.jar !
Now you'll have the last Stock Asus JB Firmware 10.4.2.13 rooted , busybox installed & init.d support to run scripts !

Here, I made a boot.img with init.d support here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31743908
Here is an Extended Power menu that should work with these ROMS. I have not tested them but I have tested them on my identical variations and they work fine so they should work with this no problem!
Make a back up before flashing just in case!

Hey surdu - another excellent job on this! Thanks for sharing! I have a question though. I flashed the 3rd option and it looks like the badass animations that your 1st ROM had are gone. Is there a way to enable them or are they gone for good now?

to get archive for flash in recovery , please unzip first archive 001 => Stock_Deodexed_10.4.2.17_WW.zip ;
put the archive in your device , or via adb : > adb push Stock_Deodexed_10.4.2.17_WW.zip /mnt/sdcard
go to TWRP recovery & wipe cache and dalvik-cache ;
choose Install and wait to finish... than just check Reboot !
Recovery & Reboot in Power Off Menu !
Download :
Recovery_Reboot_Deodex.zip - 8.45 MB ( only for deodex rom WW ! )
Recovery_Reboot_Odex.zip - 8.46 MB (only for stock odex rom SKU -> WW ! )
Installation :
put archive Recovery_Reboot in your device , or with adb command > adb push Recovery_Reboot_Odex(Deodex).zip/mnt/sdcard ;
go to TWRP recovery and choose Install !

( as long as they have been downloaded over 500 times ( Clean_Slim&Fast ) - and is appreciated, as you can see only 20 people - I still think about !!! )

By the way, is not all your users download the firmware from this server. There must register to download.
That's why I made a copy to other file-sharing server.
According to a survey on the Russian forum 4pda.ru of users TF300, [email protected] is one of the leaders.
I know that many people are changing their firmware (for example, Hydro ROM) to your [email protected]
So, I think part of the Russian-speaking users waiting for new versions of your firmware.

So, because not enough people say thank you you aren't going to update your two biggest contributions? I just now added my thank you but have commented many times in the forum on how good your work is. Ive been running v02 overclock for several weeks and very pleased with it. I don't think its really fair to judge your users just because they don't hit the thank you button. Just my two cents.

Today I'll release Stock Firmware 10.4.2.14 SU - deodexed, root & busybox already installed ( ...also with init.d support ! ) - only for TF30T !

Who wants to use LeWa theme (lwt), just follow these instructions!
1. Download and place theme on your root sdcard
2. Go to themes, tap on From SD (Local tab)
3. Check your downloaded theme(s), then, import it.
4. Back to Local tab, and choose theme u wanna use

For A2SD users, if u wanna use it, follow these instructions:
-Download A2SD file >

Have u tried like a normal rom installing? I have no problem. Maybe your carrier network gets on problem or? Cause my Indos*t carrier network's fine while using this rom. Seriously.
Maybe u can try flash from stock first. To be "cleaned-up" or fresh. Then, try to this rom

I have 2 small problems. Some graphic bug in Power manager app (I had this problem before when I used an older file resources.arsc but now I have it after clean installation) and Music app do not display album art. For me that's all, this version is nice, everything works good.

This looks pretty sweet. May give it a spin. Do i really have to be on the latest firmware? Did anything change? Im guessing yes because for TWRP 2.5.0.0 to work you must be on the latest Asus firmware.
Also, are the GPU clocks adjustable as in Hunds kernel?

Still setting this rom up, found a couple of small things, 1. there is a small line in the top left corner of the screen if your using a dark wall paper and the recovery option in the reboot menu is not working for me...

Did not work for me to install 4.0. Installed and functioning normally 10.6.1.15.3 + openrecovery-twrp-2.5.0.0-tf300t-4.2.blob.
The attempt to install OC_Edition_V1.zip + BlueAndroid_V4.zip = bootloop.
Format internal data. Install 10.6.1.15.3 + openrecovery-twrp-2.5.0.0-tf300t-4.2.blob. All fine.

Judging by the pictures twitch on the boot screen - it seems that the GPU acceleration is enabled at startup. You can reduce the frequency of this acceleration?
TWRP 2.5.0.0-42 installed fine. Flash OC_Edition_V1.zip wipe cache & dalvik & reboot tablet locks on Asus screen.
Second attempt install OC_Edition_V1.zip and then install BlueAndroid_V4.zip WITHOUT leaving TWRP then wipe cache & Dalvik sees tablet lock up on the disk animation.
Not experienced any issues with your ROMs before, suggestions on how to proceed would be appreciated.
