For root you need to flash: http://download.chainfire.eu/264/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-t03g-t03gxx-gtn7100.zip via ODIN. This tutorial may help you: http://androidjinn.com/root-galaxy-note-2-n7100-zcalk5.html
Next you need to install CWM Recovery (or any other custom recovery). To install CWM recovery first instal ROM Manager from play store then tap on Flash ClockworkMod Recovery.
There are many ROM out there. Try something stable. All ROM comes with general installation guide just follow that.

Appreciated

Yes! It's safe to use the root file. That is a standard rooting file for Note 2 for any Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean version.

Thanks chief. Will root it then. IA
One more question, if we root it then what will happen the already installed JB. Will it remain in working condition or is it mandatory to install cooked rom right away?

Everything will be just normal. You don't require to install any custom ROM. Your smartphone will be in Jelly Bean. You can now install apps that require root permission such as Titanium Backup .

Thanks

No, you need to flash this one: http://download.chainfire.eu/255/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-t0lte-t0ltexx-gtn7105.zip You can try this guide: http://androidjinn.com/root-galaxy-note-2-n7105-on-xxdll1-android-4-1-2-official-firmware.html The firmware may be different than what you have but it will work. Don't worry.

Is there any link where I can find all these tips?

There is an official app for Note 2 - GALAXY Note II User's Digest. Install it and learn some basic of Note 2.

Go to Dr. Ketan forum in Android original development. Once u read it u will do it urself. He is genius.

Need help with Rooting

So I used the Odin one touch root here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1835033&highlight=fh13+root
And it all seems to work fine, and I even got the PASS in the program, but when it rebooted, I got the Android System Recovery.
I hit reboot device in the Android System Recovery and it turned out that my device was not rooted, didn't even get the Super User app...thing.
So any help is appreciated with my situation. I did make sure I have ICS and FH13.
Did you use the rooted one? I think it's in post 2?

Nexus 4, 4.2 keyboard working on note 2

Hey guys thought i share a thread i was told about by th3g1z with the nexus 4 dump files created by sharingan92, I tried the keyboard and it works flawless on the note 2! just download the zip from the link provided and i just put the LatinImeGoogle.apk to sytem/app via root explorer and set permissions then put the lib files to system/lib and also set permissions then rebooted. I didn't try it thru cwm not sure how well it go. keyboard works perfect and swype option is nice! don't try camera. for some reason it froze up my phone upon reboot had to restore a backup!
Edit: The 4.2 camera also works
if any other files or mods work from there let us know!
Oh and the keyboard theme worked also on the note also from there

Here is an Awesome theme that was created for Omega SGS3 by Motomoto00 and ported to SGN2 by raubkatze and his modifications all credits go to him and Motomoto00! This worked for me on my SGH-i317m note 2

Hey I tried this a couple days ago as well . Can you confirm that the "enter" button works to go to the next line while writing an email? I switched back to the Sammy keyboard after I couldn't use "enter" correctly.
The swipe option is great though, also looks a lot cleaner. Samsung keyboard is a little convoluted.
Edit: forgot that you can enable continuous input on Samsung keyboard too... No real time word detection but it is accurate.
I'm using 4.2 keyboard right now. Everything works great in including word popup.

Is there any way to root galaxy s 3 for t mobile running 4.1.1 without a computer?

Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
As of right now, the only way to get root is with the use of the computer as of yet.
Being that seems to work pretty well I doubt there will be development to a root method without a computer.
Hmm, thanks for your feedback

Doubt it. I think you still need pc
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Mobile odin requires root. So it can't be used to gain root.
Chainfire release a rooting method. I haven't tried it but have heard it works well. You still need Odin on a pc for any root procedure that I'm aware of.

Sent from my SGH-I337 using xda app-developers app
Yup, what kind of brick do you mean? Soft brick or hard brick?
Let me know what you can and cannot do with your bricked phone. The more details the better because that will help determine exactly what the issue is with your phone.
And how did you brick it? Were you using Odin? Flashed a ROM/Kernal from the Recovery?
If you used Odin, I'd like you to recall what Odin said if you can.
Like I said, every detail will help
Soft brick iv been told to use odin but cant find origanal software for phone
