Thanks for reporting, the busy box and the etc scripts is for module to load (looks like it didn't work) and superuser is just to make it noob friendly, if you can try insmod from terminal and tell me if it loads it will be apreciated

So you guys are putting things out before testing????
Why don't you take the extra 5 minutes, PM someone that has the device and ask them "hey dude, I'm wondering if you would test (insert whatever it is you want tested)" and you will save yourself all this "my bad, it didn't work" or in your buddy's case.....the fact that his ROM didn't even boot!
I suggest you take my advice because you and your "dev" team are just making yourself look stupid and if you continue on doing business the way you and your "dev" team are, is going to end with someone bricking their device and/or someone getting banned for doing so.

OK....all you had to do is take my advice for what it was BUT getting your feelings hurt and crying about it works too!!
I know what you and your team should develop and maybe you'll have better luck at this then these mods and roms you're trying to put out.....you should develop some thick skin because all I've seen from "Team fireballs" is a bunch of tears!
See ya dude, good luck with whatever it is you decide to do hahaha

You probably aren't wiping data. Either that or the MIUI kernel isn't playing nice with your EVO. Try to flash one of the AOSP kernels without agressive undervolting. If that doesn't work, try one without HAVS altogether.
think you could post a link to this?
Wrong forum.
how is it wrong forum? its a developement question
Do you only get boot loops when you flash miui? Have you tried any other rom? Is your S-ON, S-Off? Did you use unrevoked method to root? Is your evo a 004?
yes i get booy loops on every rom and i believe it is off and i did use unrevooked and i have no idea how would i go forth of checking that?
what he means by wrong forum is that you posted a question in the Developer forum.. questions go in the questions forum.. and you can post questions about a particular rom in that roms' thread to get the best help..

Did you just get your phone recently? If so, you probably have a late 003 or the new 004 hw version. Check it in your settings/about phone/hardware info. Then try this guide (read the cautions): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=829045.
i keep getting errors when i try to adb shell busy box. i dont understand why this is taking a couple days.
i gett the error when trying to adb shell busy box

What he means by wrong forum is that it's not yet another rom. There is no discussion of development that goes on in this forum. It's nothing more than a release and support forum, at best a collection of bug reports.

I'm not trying to be rude but some of u need to get a life. I mean if u have nothing better to do than to pop in and out of every thread telling people they posted in the wrong place I feel sorry for u. Either try and help or don't say anything and let the mods decide wether its in the wrong place or not. I used to love coming on here and talking, learning and sharing but some of u are just completely ruining it.

my guess is you arent s-off/nand unlocked. reboot into hboot. power off and the back on, while pressing the volume down button. the very top line will tell you whether it is on or off.

I'm not quite following what you're trying to achieve.
When you flash a rom, the kernel is included. You don't have to flash the kernel separately unless you want a custom kernel.
Following the link above (the lmgtfy, I didn't know what CM7-GX4 was), it seems that you're looking for the kernel from a rom that's quite old. Are you wanting to flash that kernel with a different rom?
Maybe sleep deprivation is making me silly and dumb, but I just don't get it.

And in your attempt to be an ungrateful individual who requires that everything be handed to him....I've gone ahead and completed the difficult task of running another Google search for you.
I've also gone ahead and thrown in a brief "How-to" so that you know exactly what you are supposed to do with the information I gave you, since you apparently failed to grasp the fairly simple concept on your own.
1. Use the link from my first response to download the CM7-gx4 ROM.
2. Use the second link to learn how to extract the kernel from the CM7-gx4 ROM that you downloaded from step #1. (I assumed you would've been able to figure this part out on your own)
3. Take newly extracted CM7-gx4 kernel and flash it to your phone.
4. Go back to the stickies in this forum and read the thread about ROMs/kernels and then facepalm yourself for not realizing that the kernel is already packaged within the ROM and doing the above steps for no reason.
5. Press the thank you button at the bottom of this post.
if u actually took the time out and actually read that post u should understand that the developer posted a link for a kernel... i dont expect things to b handed to me but i expect people to actually know what im talkin about to actually help me with what i want without being sarcastic... so now go and think about what u've done

If you "expect people to actually know what you're talking about ", then you should type more clearly and give more information.
You said you were looking for a kernel for a rom and that you wanted to flash the rom soon. Then you said you were running Decks. Then you said (and I'm translating into proper spelling and grammar) "If you actually took the time to read that post, you'd understand that the developer posted a link for a kernel."
I'm still lost as to what you're trying to achieve, but I don't think it's even relevant because I think you moved on to something else.
If I understood what you were trying to do, I would try to help you. Maybe I'm just missing something obvious.

Need to know how to flash this into my t999

this rom looks cool but its for the att s3, I have seen several post saying that we can flash their roms and vice versa but i have also seen post that says that it cannot. so I want an opinion from an expert.
can we flash this rom to our t999 with no problems? back on the s2 we could flash from the skyrocket and to make it stable we needed to flash a tmobile kernel with auto rotation fix and a call echo fix. and that it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2053699
So nobody is interested
Seems pretty similar to Pac-Man ROM, no?
Or am i missing a key feature that "JellyBam" has that Pac-Man doesn't?
I'd stay away from ROM's on other CELL Phones. (at best you might be able to download their ROM and sneak out some of thier MODS, I do it, but u need to know what your doing)
stick with TMOBILE ROM's...Or you'll be posting lots of POSTS like...
Help, I screwed up my SGS3 ....IS it just Soft bricked ?....I didn't follow directions, please help me!...
and then recieve Reply's like "WE TOLD you so, stay away"
your best bet, is to find the MODS you love and try to get a DEV to incorporate it into a MOD or a ROM!

Help regarding SM-T805 developement

Hello community,
i m sorry for this noobish thread.
Im working on a CM build for T805.
I started from creating a device tree and managed to build it up until a certain point, where i managed to have a build which failed in the installation process because ext4 was not understood as a valid fs_type.
Anyways my intention was to build this device tree up by myself, which failed... hard.
So my next steps are to start from a working device tree like this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod-11-fort800-t2921507 for t800 and modifing it to fully support t805.
So diving in to the boardconfig.mk of this repo just brought me to new questions. Like where do i find a complete reference of what variables i can use in this boardconfig.
As you see im pretty nooby on this topic. So i would kindly ask you where i can get further help or maybe a partner who likes to work with me on cm porting for t805
thanks for the help in advance
greets d4rk
Don't know anything myself, but good luck!
I own an 805 and am craving CM12

Hello and thank you. I also started as this point and build my device configuration from scratch and then compared with an actual t800 device tree. i mean im proud that i calculated the partition sizes right and managed to extract the partition schema. Also i was able to extract some important blobs from my device.
But there i had a device config, which would not even install, because something was missing to mount the partitions as ext4 while installing.
So i guess there must be another ressource to start from or @The Devs is it just learning by doing and copying from other repositories?

I suppose i fixed all my problems yesterday (but i need to start a new build today to see if its running so far)
As soon as i got it ill setup a git repository for this project and we can start to port the t805 kernel.
Ill keep you up to date here.
We would also love to have some more support, if some developers are interested in contributing, send me a pm ill add you to the repo.
Cheers d4rk

Progress Report?

With kernals we're close to root and twrp, perhaps xposed.
Anyone who's working for/with able to provide a progress report?
Perhaps a test boot.img?
Update 23.12.17 Proof that root is possible by Xshooter726
Update: 28.12.17 by DarkestSpawn
1, A/B partitioning needs smoothed out in twrp
2, Wi-Fi driver issues in twrp
3, no factory images for those that don't read through all the subdirectories and rush things and brick their device
4, waiting on the generous purchase delivery of a Razer phone to be delivered to Dees_Troy
5, Still in the holiday time frame, peeps have real life things to take care of.
6, other things in the background being chatted with between the devs and tester(s)

Thank you so much. :3

I will let jcaddunono do the release. It is to risky to release this in its current state although root is stable. Without a way to do a full system restore you could end up with a brick.

Sounds cool.. You guys care to share exactly what sort of tweaks your thinking of in the build prop :good:
https://thedroidguru.com/15-best-android-build-prop-tweaks-must-try-2017/
These have a few of the more popular tweaks.. But as you go you find more that work specifically for each phone.
Camera2 API - this phones camera is capable of so much more.
Also being on a carrier version meant I didn't get the full update Min tweeted about. The phone in its current state is a bit like an android version of an iPhone.
Maybe add Viper too, the convolver would be a nice addition to Dolby experience.
Anyone else have a vision?
