You need to root and put a 4.1.2 rom on it then it will work.

Everytime i tried that the video call button wont work in the dailer it just crashed maybe i was doing something wrong

I tried skype last night with a s2 and for some reason all I would get was a black screen while in the s2 it wouldnt show anything. I had done skype on my s2 before but now idk why it doesnt work...

I use G Talk for video calls and it works flawlessly. I tried others but the apps didn't support JB, blame the apps because it's not the device.

It might work on a network that supports video calling. Tmo us doesn't. Bangladesh telecom might support it.
Try flashing an international rom and see if it works.

You must install the international rom to have the video chat built in. If you know how to install rom then this rom has it built in. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2178227

Thank you so much bro, I flashed your ROM today and it is amazing. I suppose all the T-mobile features aro gone because it is showing GT-N7105 instd of SGH-T889. Does it mean I can flash any international ROM now? or will I have to stick with the t-mobile ROMS?
I'm using JEDI X12 on my mom's t889, the only disadvantage in JEDI-X is it is draining battery like hell but your ROM is great for battery backup I see.:good::silly:

Samsung Galaxy S3 video calling - please help

Hello all,
I have a Galaxy S3 I747M from Telus. I was wondering if there's any way to enable the video calling feature like its international variant?
Just to be clear: network video calling, not third-party apps like Skype or Fring.
Thanks
I also would like to know this. Google hangouts is getting me by, but I would like to see it in the dialer

dunno why its not on our phones
besides having the proper dialer app to make network video calls, isn't this also limited to your wireless carrier? i'm not 100% on this but i think you'd also need a video calling feature activated on your account with your network.

Heh heh, I was going to suggest the same thing. After all Google Talk is not technically third party to Android
It works great by the way.
Edit: that is strange that it's not on play...

Hmm I just noticed my rogers sgs3 doesn't have video calling either like the sgs2 did. I'll have to play around as I'm sure I saw it originally. Also you should note that most carriers charge per minute. I used it last year and it was 40 cents a minute when I could have just used google video chat or Skype !

Any ideas? i9300 has this feature, while i747m does not.
waiting for your inputs.
The S3 I9300 is an international phone that isn't restricted by the phone carrier issues we have in the states.
Will installing a custom ROM solve this problem? and if yes, which one?
Thanks.

That's incorrect. If you call over wifi overseas to the US its as though you are calling from the US. If you call from overseas to another overseas number you are charged international long distance. If you receive a call while overseas you are charged international roaming. Its in plain English on t mobiles website and I've done it.
OP: I suggest flashing a stock ROM (rooted is fine) and call t mobile to get an unlock code so you can use a local Sim if you want.

Well....I gave a friend my phone (his is not unlock) to go

So...I don't know about the stock part....
EDIT: It might be because Jedi Mind Trick is based on the original ICS...

T mobile note 2 problems please please please help

I Just traded a buddy a note 2 for my galaxy s3 plus 200 buck and he gave me the phone and at first i thought everything was great but he had been using the phone on att unlocked and paid to have it unlocked so when I put my sim in the phone it didnt read 3g or 4g for tmobile so I went home and rooted the phone and flashed a custom rom and still really really bad data connection .. If I drive in the middle of town my phone gets maybe 1 bar of 3g or 4g and cuts out so went to tmobile store and they called tech support and they said the phone was unlocked and there was a hardware or software problem with the phone so I have no clue were to check .. I have insurance but because the phone is so new insurance wont cover it because its a hardware or software problem so if you have any way to fix this please please please help thanks..
P.S I have tried loading custom recovery , rom and kernel and nothing still data problems . If I search for network it comes up with att and some numbers 311660 under available networks so there is no tmobile to chose from so is the phone done ??
Bump anyone ?

Every rom in the AT&T section (aka here) will work with your phone as well as some in the N7105 section but i would suggest just sticking to the At&t section
Ok kinda what he said^^^^^^^. Also everything won't work on your phone, especially anything with the AT&T modem/radio included. So I would make sure what ever you decide to use that its modem free. Since your using a T-Mobile GN2. I just loaded up SKY NOTE 9. On my TMO GN2. Works great for me to...

MMS over WiFi trick.

These are the steps i took to send mms over wifi on Jedi Elite Rom. Not sure if it will work on any other Roms.
1. Send a picture to your gmail associated with the phone.
2. Open the gmail and open the picture in your gallery.
3. Now you should be able to send an MMS over WiFi.
Feel free to chime in if it works and what Rom you are on.

I see. I would call TMOBILE and get new sim and have them registered ur card for WiFi calling so u don't have the issue anymore. I get that you don't use it but it is much needed when sending MMS the normal way

Why is it much needed? I use AT&T's network, so I am asking because I'm not sure if there's a difference with T Mobile's MMS.
