Galaxy S4 leaked on video. - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Here's something I came across on GSM arena today. Looks as legit as it can get.

Thoughts ?

hmm it seems thicker and still has home button...hmm

The Chinese version? Seems the speed of launching is kind of slow but the camera is very clear. But what's the key advantage, I don't think I have grab the point.

The screen shots and settings look identical to the leaked ones from AT&T. The next big thing you ask, why is this an upgrade ? 13mp camera, improved CPU, GPU, and power management. Innovative features like smart scroll, air touch, and many more things that we are not even sure of yet. The big day is tomorrow, and I'm gonna jump the gun and say this video is the real deal without a doubt.
I, for one will be jumping ship on tax day April 15th, the expected date of release. I love the Galaxy line and am always there for the next big thing !

I saw this on tmonews a couple days ago and noticed how thick it was too. Doesn't make sense unless it just the battery door on too loosely and gives it the appearance of being thick. I also saw it looks just like our note 2 from the front and rear looks like ours with all the camera and led stacked in a vertical line. The rear matches poorly with the front and is confusing. I really wish Samsung would use a higher quality plastic or aluminium like HTC but whatever. The VP of Sammy already addressed this recently with the excuse of limited production when using higher grade materials. Plus, meantion of plastic being better on drop rate tests etc. Good excuses if you ask me... Although somewhat valid. As far as the SGS4... Not sure if it's the real deal or not. I said yes but maybe this is a tester or prototype. I guess we'll see... It doesn't matter to me though because I'm keeping this beast for a while probably until at least the Note 3 is here on T-Mobile USA. I'm probably gonna save my extra cash for new Wii or Xbox.

All those aluminum bodied phones have signal issues for sure. The Galaxy line has been the fastest HSPA+ devices I have used, period. Constantly getting more bars, and better signal. I'm all for the polycarbonate bodies, the light weight build, and the awesome features. The only think I would want aluminum is the faux metal bezel.

Ugh. I hope that white dialer and settings background is not how it really is. Thats one thing I love about Samsung, they generally make all BG's black

Im going to wait for the note 3 for the fact that I can't use anything with a smaller screen anymore, even if it means waiting a couple months.

I was testing a website on an iPhone 3G and was amazed at how tiny the screen was. I can't believe that I was ever productive on it.

Samsung needs to step it up a bit on design. They're doing great on hardware/software though.
IMO, the phone doesn't really grab any attention as far as needing to upgrade or wanting to shell out cash for it. Just hope there's features the software can bring that people might actually want.

Well, it is gonna have 4.2.1 so software wise its ahead of everything but nexus devices. Even the HTC One only has 4.1.2.

at this point everything will be pure speculation. i think we will be surprised on what we see tomorrow.

i love the design the bezel around the screen is small the sides look aluminum the front is a mini note 2 , everything is looking good
it looks thick because he didnt attach the back cover correctly if you pause the video you can see that theres gaps on it

I just read a report that the US version might not come with the much awaited Octa 5 processor, instead, it will come with a quad core snapdragon 600 chip with LTE support, also, there will be no eye-scrolling feature but will have a head turning sensor for videos. I mean, I don't care about the eye sensor but it would suck if it doesn't come with the 8-core chip, on the other hand though, development for this phone might be easier if it does carry the snapdragon chip instead of Octa 5 OR exynos...
EDIT: I'm just speculating but if Samsung follows the pattern of the S3 and the Note 2, then I'm assuming that the Note 3 will come with the Octa 5 chip.

I'm hearing the UK will get the octa core CPU but it will support LTE. If so ill be getting the international version as long as its works on AT&T.

The international version will work on any GSM, the LTE bands are specific to the EU however.

That's the problem! Plus, if ur planning to flash cm or any non-tw rom, you'll be better off with a snapdragon phone with LTE, unless u wanna wait for the note 3 which might come with the octa chip AND LTE (hopefully).

That's what happened when you have high expectations of anything... you get disappointed. Personally, I think they could have done a better job. Yea they have some cool new features, but there should have been more. And that siri like voice thing is a fail.. they should have copied that.

Had no expectations and I'm still disappointed.
I don't need a phone to tell me which of the captured photos is the "best"
one.
I felt certain things can be better but that eye recognition & pop out player was amazing to me (if you can do it with all videos like YouTube, etc.) I'll sell my other SII today...
But I might hold off til they get a 1080p display because I'm not jumping ship for a 720p display
I'm debating whether i should wait for the GS3 to be released and export it, or to buy the galaxy nexus now. It's kinda disappointing that its almost the same screen as the nexus, and the back of it looks like SHI*.

On a 4.8in screen, I don't think the eye can determine the difference between 1080p and 720p. The difference is literally microscopic. On a 60inch TV you can for sure tell the difference though.
I was impressed with the eye sleep option, liked the continuous flash that determines the best photo. Like that you can pick up the phone while texting and it automatically calls someone. Also like the quad core processor. It apparently has gotten impressive benchmark scores. The ICS with touchwiz looked pretty good to me, along with the additional toggles as well. All in all I was happy with what they released.
Honestly, it would be my absolute dream phone if only it had two things: a NOTIFICATION LIGHT/LED, and of course AOSP. Fortunately, one of those can be fixed with ongoing development, but BLN just doesn't quite fill the void for me. I miss that notification light. :/ otherwise, I like the curvy simplicity of it, and the dark blue finish rather than flat black is a nice choice!

Even on a 60 inch screen it is nearly impossible to tell. Its just all part of marketing and wanting to have the "best"
As far as the phone, I am honestly not that impressed, I think the GN is still the better choice, sure it may have nice specs and all, but when it cokes down to it. We need a phone that will have the latest software and this will he no different than the pickle we're in right now. We'll be behind again in about 3 months with next OS. Nexus all the way for me from now on.

Of course, samsung did a great job; however, i think ill just be sticking with my gs2 for now. In the US, it'll most probably get a Qualcomm dual core processor so besides a few improvements from the gs2, its nothing major. but definitely a nice phone!
Reply
I dont feel theres nearly enough improvements to justify upgrading sure would be fun to have something new tho haha
im torn, I like alot of the new feature the phone offers, but the phone looks like a nexus/gs2, nothing drastic like we all hoped for. Kind of like a iphone 4s imo. What do you guys think about the upcoming nexus phone? that might be the game changer, since rumors has it that it will be a upgraded version of the s3.
when does google usually unveil the nexus phones? at their google io thing in june?
just my 2 cents
Disappointed
Overall - disappointing.
Great performance and features - absolutely!. 2100mA battery should = longer usage times (even with 4 faster cores). HD res is great. Improved UI. Some very nifty accessories. 8mp camera is fine as improved software & performance makes the picture - though Carl Zeiss optics would have been great.
4.8 screen getting too big for a phone. Was hoping for an ultra thin bezel hence reducing size.
But pentile matrix? Heavier? Thicker? No quality materials? Old Mali GPU? No LTE? 1Gb RAM? And featureless design? Very, very poor for a flagship phone that's meant to be setting the standard...
Heavier I understand (bigger battery weighs more). But there's HD Super Amoled plus on tab7.7 - why pentile here? Competition has phones 6.9mm thick. HTC, Sony, even Motorla & Huawei have better designs (not to mention Apple) and materials. So it's not as if any of this wasn't achievable.
I have a SGS 1 & 2. The S2 was well ahead of the competition, bar materials and uninspiring design. Was looking forward to a groundbreaking S3 on all fronts. It's very good, but good isn't good enough these days.
Samsung needed to tick more boxes to place this phone undisputably out in front leaving others to catch up & not easily surpass.
In no rush to get one now, and possibly might not. Will wait to see the competition - eg: Sony Ion, HTC, even (lord help me) Apple; or maybe wait for SGS4.

Glad I got GN over GS3

Title says it all... the gs3 is basically a GN with a few very slight upgrades but I am so glad I got the GSM GN from google @ 400 without a contract than waiting for a GS3
But it watches you when you sleep!
Same here
Mine will be here tomorrow and I can't wait!
S3 was an absolute waste of an opportunity to push the envelop and Samsung failed for their "flagship"
I'm happy I ended up going with the smarter option. $400 for a Nexus is an amazing deal compared to $600+ at the end of summer for a touchwiz plagued ugly designed phone...

While there are some technical advantages to the new SIII they are not enough, the Nexus looks better, Stock ICS is brilliant, and Jellybean to come...
I get it.. as i got my gnex last week and seeing as the sgs3 is a dualcore lte device it really is nothen but a slightly larger display but making a topic about it seems odd to me.
Looks like a decent phone. However, I think I'm sticking with the Nexus series. I absolutely love the design of this phone, and I also love AOSP roms.

I saw this coming, that's why i sold my SGS2 for a GNex.
I can't be happier
I wouldn't consider the SGS3 a failure, and I'm not sure why others would either. It is using what may be one of the best SoCs available in a phone, even though it isn't the most advanced chip out right now. It offers a large range of built in storage PLUS a microSD card slot that can double your storage available. The only thing that disappoints me with the phone is it has hardware buttons for home, menu, and back. I was hoping that with ICS, phones would stop having actual buttons for those items, but apparently not.
I can't get over how ugly the back is. It's like the first Galaxy S. I was never on the “lol Samsung is cheap!!!" bandwagon but the glossy finish kind of does make it look cheap.
Anyways, also happy I got a Nexus, feels a lot more solid than my i9100 did. I love the design of this phone.

^That. As simple as that is, it is one of the best things about the galaxy nexus.
For me personally, the only advantage the GS3 has on my Nexus is the wireless charging.

Fairly disappointed by the S3 at this point... I think the Gnex has spoiled me for some time. The S3 just doesn't look "sexy". At least the Nexus has a beautiful front, and no physical keys or capacitive buttons to ruin it. It's pure screen, and that's how it should be.
Even looking past the body, the specs don't blow me away... Nothing is really making use of quad core at this point. I really don't need to pay $800 to see better lighting in the mediocre Shadow Gun.
Oh well... We'll see what the next Nexus has in store.
firstly, i think these threads have merit in analysing the next supposed flagship phone from a manufacturer
having just woken up to read about the s3 and having a gnex i can say physical buttons dont bother me now.. sure i thought they were old hat but after having softkey buttons, what really is the difference. They also take up some of the screen always anyway... so the 4.8 inch screen on the s3 is actually that... screen..
the better camera in the s3 and the quad core also entice me, somewhat for the quad core 'wank' factor as no lie that is cool... but im always disappointed of the camera on the gnex (and i am no photo junkie but atleast on my sensation i could read writing from a little distance on the photo with gnex i cant no matter what i have tried)...
i was actually going to shell out for a one x but with the useless unlocking offered by htc i think ill be sticking away from them devices now (such a shame when i hate the way most sammy phones usually use odin... fastboot, easy recovery installation kicks butt) so it will be interesting to see how sammy will capitalize on ease of modification when they actually drop as i will probably wait until the first recoveries n root appear before i look to purchase mine...

Widespread issues of i747 model of s3?

Hi,
I have been thinking about getting the i747 model of the S3? is there any widespread issues I should no about before I make the leap?
Screen breaks easy :/

Make sure you like the size you get used to it. I jumped from 3" to 4.8"
Overall it is the best phone on the market and regardless it's a good decision.

My carrier doesnt support LTE haha. A big decision factor on both for me is dev support , the us versions dont get nearly as much dev support as the international ones.
Brushed Metal ring cracks easily, look closely you will see the cracks

The screen is beautiful, the phone is jam-packed with features and hardware, and if you stay stock Samsung's TouchWiz has some pretty cool features.
I'd get the US over the International for your network's flavor of 4G + 2GB Ram, unless you can acquire a Korean handset. Quad-core with 2GB of RAM and I believe 800 MHz LTE support which is currently useless but I believe Sprint has their eyes on that spectrum for future expansion.
Oh, and it's really thin, has a huge screen, almost no bezel, comes in sweet colors (like red) and I recommend a case.

Hey guys I'm not developer level or anything but here are a few things from my last almost three days with the phone
Good:
Great support.
Easy to root.
Safe failsafe comes with the phone (Odin). It's samsung not motorola so the bootstrapper isn't locked and is 'made to mod'
Great battery- got one day+ out of it doing heavy stuff, syncing high quality audacity files over 4g
Sick screen, processor
Lots of roms and kernels
Bad: A lot of the roms just came out. Aside from AKOP and Nostalgia (stock withouth the bloat) people are having different issues from wifi drain, 4g lte not working, (look up my name to see some of these)
For me- the form factor. The phone is VERY thin VERY wide and PRETTY LONG.. It's hard to grip if you use it to say play music while running. Basically you'd have a stronger grip if you gripped the phone with the screen facing the palm of your hands. The back end is almost frictionless. Again easy to fall, easy to slip out of pocket/bookbag, will bounce around in your pocket and not feel it when it falls out of your bag etc.. It will take getting used to.
Another thing that showed poor thought in the physical design. I have a white phone and didn't notice the menu and back buttons because...they too are white. Meld in perfectly.
Charge time- Charge Could take 3+ hours using a 'fast' high AMp charger off of Amazon. I will try with Samsung's stock charger.
A ton of roms, different version of the phone, and mods keep shooting down threads about battery life etc. I say shut off airplane mode and leave on wifi to see which kernels/governors give best battery life. There's so much customizability that its sort of a bad things.
I haven't played around with it on my JB Rom but on ICS you can't transfer the apps and music files from say spotify to your external card. No matter how quickly internal memory is accessed, for backup and movability purposes that is a huge no no for me and a lot of other people.
Not so much with thep hone but with the carriers. You can't simply flash a lot of the models by entering an unlock code, you usally need a non-carrier network SIM to get the dialogue to pop up, at least on stock/nostalgia.
One big issue that is being reported as irreversable is an IMEI modification. That is like the MAC address for your computer. Hopefully no one dealswiht that

better battery life than the skyrocket by far.
With my skyrocket I had 3 batteries (2 spares) and it would be very rare if I only had to swap out once in a day.
Had my gs3 for a few days now and it can last me almost half a day.
Mind you I use my phone basically 24/7.. I still bought two spare batteries but don't think I'll be swapping out as often

Early Impressions About T-Mobile Galaxy S4

I have been using mine for a few hours now and decided to write a bit about my first impressions. I hope these will be helpful.
Here are my initial thoughts (I am coming from the iPhone 5 that I had been using for the last 5 mos)
- The phone is light (feels too light for its size), but well made and well balanced in terms of weight. No issues with build quality (except for the one mentioned below). But it's so freaking slippery. I can't wait for my Spigen case to arrive.
- The screen is gorgeous. Large and vibrant. If you don't like AMOLED oversaturation, there is a "Movie" preset that tones down the colors.
- Battery life is the best I've ever experienced. Even compared to the iPhone. I used the phone for about 3 hours and was only down 25% (I understand that the gauge still needs to be calibrated and the battery life so far may not be typical).
- I am not a fan of stock Android, but Touchwhiz is bloated and laggy. With the specs that the phone has, there shouldn't be any choppiness or waiting for stock apps (caller, etc.) to open. But there is. I am hoping that Samsung will optimize the skin's performance in the next update.
- Related: People who put so much non-removable bloatware should be hung by their necks. Why is Flipboard, Chrome, Lookout and tens of other apps non-removable and always seem to run in the background? I'll wait for a verified list of safe-to-remove apps and bye-bye bloatware.
- Overall Touchwhiz is inconsistent. The design of stock apps varies so much. And damn those stupid bubble sounds.
- Camera is amazing in well-lit environments (better than the iPhone's), but not so much in low light (The Night mode fixes the issue for static objects though).
- Call sound quality is great.
- The only minor gripe about the build quality / design that I have concerns the power button. It's small, almost flush, and has very weak, almost non-existent tactile feedback. Just the opposite of what the power button on the iPhone is like. The volume rocker is fine though.
I will update this thread if I discover anything new.
Please, post your mini-reviews and first impressions here as well. Thanks.
Thanks for the early review. I'm getting mine tomorrow, so the wait is killing me.
Which color did you get by the way? And what did you think of that color?
I got black but still have some urge to get white. It might not matter because I also bought the Neo Hybrid case.
It does seem Samsung and T-Mo have put a lot of bloatware into the device - I can't wait for a good ROM to come by.
From my showrooming at AT&T and Best Buy, the display is indeed gorgeous and the design is better. I don't know.
I've seen the HTC One side by side with the S4 in AT&T and Best Buy, and I don't think the S4 is that much worse/cheap-feeling.
I actually found the S4 to be more comfortable to hold, and seems to fit more comfortably into my hand. The HTC One,
with all its aluminium glory, feels more rigid, and certainly not as light as the S4. I don't know.. preference.
I do think one other phone that doesn't get too much love is the Xperia Z. Great build quality, near-stock UI.
They have some nice themes that I'm using on the S3.
Good early review. I do have a question for you. I am thinking of returning this iPhone 5 for the S4. Knowing what you know now, would you advise others like me to hang on and wait it out? or is this a phone that even with its lag problems worth the switch?

I got the black mist version and I like it much better than the white. But it's personal preference.
I have already rooted the phone using the Motochopper exploit (very easy; thanks to Dan).
I also find the design much better than the S3 (more "professional", "industrial").
I do like how the HTC looks and feel, but it's not by any means more rigid. None of these phones are rugged.
The Xperia Z is a great looking phone but I personally thing that the screen on the S4 and HTC One are miles better.
With that said, the most important factor for me was the removable battery. It's always great to have a phone that doesn't have a worn battery even after a year or two of use. Plus, the battery itself is the largest one among five-inchers.

The Note 2 has the best battery life by far of any smartphone that is not the Droid Razr Maxx. That thing can last for days, and maybe weeks with the monster Anker extended battery. I hope I can get similar results with the S4, though I'm afraid if I keep a lot of apps, that will drain the battery faster. I have to say the dual speakers on the HTC One really impressed me. I'm wondering why Samsung still hasn't done it this way (or even better, dual front and back speakers). They're already one of the few tablet makers that put the speakers in front, and not the back. I live for the replaceable battery and microSD slot.

It's personal preference. There are advantages for both phones.
iPhone is much more practical to use as a PHONE (smaller size, pocketability). It's much more fluid. However, the screen size and resolution are limiting.
The S4 being a flagship Android device offers great hardware (namely the screen) and customizibility.
I have rooted my phone and installed Titanium. I will remove as much bloatware as possible and see if that fixes the lagginess problem. I will report back.
Overall, I do not regret switching from the iPhone. So far, I am really liking the S4. Let's see if that changes
My wife and I just got ours. We switched from verizon to tmo and I switched from my galaxy nexus and she switched from an iphone5. I was really nervous that she wouldnt like it but so far she loves it and hasnt put it down in few hours. For me it wasnt that big of a change... but for her it is like the first time she picked up a smart phone. The screen i think is what she likes the best... it is big but the phone doesnt feel massive. I think it actually feels smaller in hand than my gnexus. And she really likes the camera (not talking quality just the options). It is going to take me some time to get use to touch wiz but I will probably unlock the bootloader and install cm 10.1 whenever it is available for it.
If anyone else is interested in any other details let me know.
I would have no problem recommending this over an iphone5 to anyone. I probably would never have said that about any other phone before (i made my mom get the iphone4s when it came out). Now when the next iphone (5s/6) comes out that may be a different story (but we will have to wait until apple lets us know what they are doing next).

Thanks for your input. Unfortunately, Tim Cook stated that we shouldn't be expecting a larger size/resolution screen iPhone any time soon. So, if screen size matters to you, the S4 is indeed a better option.
Phone is great. Lag is minor. But I do notice top of screen can get hot fairly quick from not too much intense tasks.. not to bad though. Amd an update will surely adress these things

I made a unbagging (because Tmo shipped my GS4 in a polybag rather than a box), unpackaging, setup, and initial impressions video.
http://youtu.be/6aaJ_pAlFZw
Since I've filmed this, I wanna add this:
Basically, I believe this launch was less than stellar. Not only did Samsung tease the S4 over the last few months, but there's the locked/verifiable bootloaders (again I add verifiable because from my understanding on AT&T and most likely Verizon too, there's checks to make sure you have a legit recovery and boot image for those particular carriers, and if it fails, brick), little availability for 32GB (ironically the only carrier to have a 32GB version is the locking down AT&T); ZERO 64GB when they claimed that 16, 32, and 64 GB versions would be available, and as I expected, Sixaxis and Wii Remotes DO NOT work out of the box (mostly because it uses Android 4.2.2 and from past experience with my Nexus 7 it does NOT play nice with sixaxis or wii remotes for whatever reason).
Oh well, at least I did showcase the Motochopper root method at the time of filming and some time after I filmed, T-mobile's version of the bootloader can indeed be unlocked. (Sprint's is unlocked from the start, btw.)

It's funny because AT&T keeps claiming "soon" for the 32 GB version yet no one knows (and AT&T will not say anything about) when "soon" is. So, although it could happen, AT&T doesn't have the 32 GB yet (and I think may never).

hahahaha, I had to do anything I could to get that darned bag open (and on that note, is probably yet another reason I need to seriously consider getting the tripod for my S4... EDIT 5:45 PM: Just ordered the tripod. Use SPRINGACC up till May 15th to get 20% off on Accessories at T-mobile)

Look, some moron says "Sgs4 wins in every category and is cheaper. You can wait for the Note 3 or HTC T6 if you must have a phablet!" Why can't Samsung fans just shup up?
waiting on the next badass smartphone is retarded. not only will you be waiting longer than you planned, the next new baddass smartphone will be on the horizon, might as well wait for it.

Any company achieves (or has ever achieved) a high position will have that kind of badasses. The most annoying is Apple fans, next is Samsung fan. Sony and Nokia fans are different than not a lot as two companies above but somehow more crazy and ignorant.
I think currently LG's fans are the best in behaving:good:
I've had my E980 for 2-3 weeks now
It performs the way I would expect for having the same internals as the SGS4, with a larger screen. It freakin SCREAMS. I looked at the Note2, but its got obsolete hardware compared to SGS4 or E980. I would definitely say the E980 effectively IS the Note3 without the Samsung extras. If Samsung had done a simultaneous release of the Note3 (which they *should* have), I probably would have gone for that, but the E980 is working out just fine and I'm happy with it. I think LG scored a nice coup here. Why compete with the the smaller SGS4 head to head and lose, when you can release a Phablet with the same specs, and no competition for 6 months until the Note3 releases? They really need to advertise it though while they have an effective but temporary "monopoly" on the high end Phablet.
Observations:
Battery life has been awesome. I use it periodically during the day like normal, and its sitting between 70-80%. The 2.1A charger in the car has it fully charged in the 30+ minute drive home in the evening. This is a MASSIVE improvement over my SGSII where I would be at 30% at the end of a similar day and would take a couple of hours to charge since it didn't charge above 1A.
Screen is awesome! I got this over the SGS4 which I'd been planning on, since my eyeballs have had a recent and relatively sudden "degradation of capabilities". The combination of LARGE screen and sharp pixels is working out quite nicely for me to be able to see the text without having to make other compromises. (btw this getting older crap sucks) Thank goodness for variety, because if I was stuck on a tiny iPhone screen I'd be sunk by now.
It runs good on T-Mobile (at least where the frequencies have been refarmed like DFW, not sure about elsewhere). 4.78Mbs up, 1.7Mbs down for HSPA+ in Dallas. Unable to test LTE yet until more towers get lit up.
Application installs are almost all instant. Big upgrade from my SGSII. Blink and you miss the installation from Play.
Camera is proving to be pretty awesome and sharp. Definite upgrade from my SGSII. It focuses a lot faster, and I can do more rapid shots, which comes in handy when children won't sit still... Colours seem correct, or close enough, I'm not noticing anything wrong.
Still fits in my back pocket - YMMV on this one, but Levi's 36x34 can take it.
First phone EVER that actually fits comfortably in my hand. One handed operation is not compromised either for ME. However, this is another YMMV - folks with smaller hands WILL have a problem on this. My SGSII was ok, provided it had a case on it, and the same with the SGS3 and 4's that I've borrowed. But this is definitely better. If you're of the smaller handed set, this may not be the phone for you, but for those who have medium to large hands - take a look at this phone. it may be exactly what you've been looking for comfort wise. Viva la difference.
i'd agree with all the good things posted. it's a fantastic device. re: the camera sensor, i've noticed it has a hard time reading bar codes for apps, anybody else experience this?

I haven't noticed any issue on the barcodes, and I know I've scanned a couple in the last couple of weeks. I just gave it a couple of smaller ones off a Lenovo power supply that gave it a fit, but it still got them after a few seconds. Switched over to a magazine and it picked it right up (in low light even). For the app barcodes, those have been nearly instant as well. For all of the above, I'm using ZXing's Barcode Scanner.

that's prolly a better way to describe it. it has recognized all the bar codes i've thrown at it, but it seems to struggle to settle down and focus. twitchy, like the image stabilization is not engaged.

OK, yeah, I've seen what you are talking about. Almost seemed like it focused on the WRONG area a couple of times. With that said, I've not noticed much difference over my previous SGSII. Although subjectively, its seems faster than my SGSII for getting a lock.
just received my OGP this week...in just love it!!!
from a former note user...lollll though my note had been a nice phone
Still willing to buy...bye to my HTC desire X
I've been wanting to wait for the Note 3, but I hardly use the stylus. I love the phablet form of the phone.
I really would love to get this phone. I really enjoyed playing with it at the store, but the locked boot loader is no bueno for me.
Maybe once things get rolling with this device, I'll pick it up.

thats true.. but i think that if the SN3 comes out that it will be a failure. for one, a 6 inch screen is a big turn off. 2nd, benchmarks mean nothing even if it'll have the best specs when it debuts.
i think the OGP will lbeat the SN3 even when it comes out, despite the higher specs. theres gonna come a time when ram and processor speed will reach a point where it doesnt matter anymore.. like the laptop where chip manufacturers stopped making faster chips cuz laptops are fast enough.. theres no need to make cellphones faster now.
i'm gonna buy the OGP soon.. i wish there was a white version available in the USA though.

How can you tell unless you know exactly what the note 3 will be about? Also the note 3 will have a better development support that's pretty much guaranteed. And the Spen is s major plus that the note series have over the other phablet.

This is the one smartphone that I want and good old Verizon does not have it. Unfortunately Verizon has the best coverage in my area. I do not want the Galaxy Note 2 , so that is not an option with me. I will just hold off until maybe Verizon will get an LG phone with the same style and the same specs as this one. I don't like the pointed square corners of the LG phones on Verizon. The Optimus G Pro have the rounded corners. Looks great. I'm really sick that I cannot get this phone. I guess I will have a long wait on Verizon. Wish I could switch carriers.
such a beautiful screen, best phone ever had
