Going to have Xperia ZL in short while and going to arm it with a protective case, from the otterbox to case-mate, and SGP, even their case is impressive, yet so many people are using, and going to get another fashion case from otter style or sgp style, get to know a Shock Sunda Leather Case, the vintage style seems tasteful and as good as top brand, yet if anyone share some reviews ?

Think it was around $25 from Sony & Amazon, but BLT has it shipped free for under $15 which didn't seem too bad. Pretty sure it comes with a screen protector as well.

anyone know where to buy case with stander for zl?

sony is selling incipio cases from their website, only problem is you need to take the case if you want to use the remote control app bought one for $24

List the case that doesn't cover IR port so we can use the remote without removing the case.....

SGP reply to my email
So I emailed SGP regarding if they would make products for the xperia zl since they have XZ. This is their reply to me
"
Dear Kevin Wen,
Thank you for contacting Spigen.com Customer Service Department.
Thank you for your interest in our Spigen Products!
As of now, we don’t have any definite plans to make products for the Xperia ZL. However, if there is increased interest from our customers, we may change our production plans in the future. Please check our website, facebook, and twitter pages for any updates from time to time.
If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us again.
Thank you!"
So apparently if enough people request them to make cases for the XZL, they will
Just a heads up.

[Cases] No Otterbox Defender for hTc One X

I startet a request at Otterbox if there a case is in progress for the hTc One X .
That's the answer which i got today by mail:
Unfortunately, we do not have plans to develop a case for that device. I would recommend keeping an eye on our website, as it will have the most up to date information for every new release. Please feel free to reply to this email if you have any additional questions.

That's pretty anoying, so i can't use my One X for geocaching or other rough outdoor activities. That's the flagship under the hTc phones, why doesn't Otterbox support it?

Stock reply from them. I got that email from them about a week before they released the case for the HD2! Keep checking back. And keep checking the Spigen site as they are releasing soon...
This is the response I got from them back in March. I'm guessing that they still don't have enough requests to actually start a case for the One X.
Thank you for your interest in our product, unfortunately, we do not have any information if this particular case will be made at this time. It is something that has been requested. I have put in a product suggestion on your behalf, and recommend keeping an eye on our website, as well as, becoming a fan of ours on Facebook. It will have the most up to date information on any new releases that we may have. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Thank you,
Thats dumb. I've got a $50 credit and was hoping to pick something up from them. Don't really need a defender so I was hoping for a commuter and impact. God knows they dont make the whole line for anything but the iphone though
that's crazy because there are links in the cases thread to a store selling pre orders. don't pre order, i guess!

While I don't know about the International version, I know that we are going to have the Otterbox Defender for the AT&T version in store here in the states according to info on accessories we got at work today. Wouldn't be suprised if you were able to pick one up from Amazon pretty soon.

That's a totally different class.. Ports not even covered... and looking at how thin it is i don't think it would offer the same impact protection.. Go to my "rugged" case thread, most of the case that is in the same class are around the same price:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1631037
For normal user, just use the phone at home, commute and in office any cheap case would be enough.. but some of us need the extra protection when outdoors, trekking, hiking, offroading, military training, etc..
If your £1.45 can come anywhere close to surviving to the abuse in this vid, i'll gladly buy one and save a bomb..

Hard case with buit-in microSD card slot
Is it possible to produce this type of case? I think, it's a good idea. I can't find similar product on the market. It could possible when OTG is supported. External battery is also a possibility. Combination of microSD card slot and external battery is ideal solution for some unibody phone users.

yes,it's better that a case not add too much bulk on your slim phone,if do need the charger as well as other such as back-up power bank, then coul d buy another specific gadgets to meet the requests,a case could be a good one if in line with the two points from the way I see it:
1. Good protection
2. Distinctive style as your favorite
firstly I will try the baseus ultra-thin and release some reviews if it comes on time...

Review - Gadgetshieldz matte finish full device protector

I am using gadgetshieldz from 2months, its best way to protect device from scratches and that too without hiding phone look. With my previous gadgetshieldz, after applying it was looking glossy and you could easily notice that you applied some protector ( I didnt liked glossy look ), But now they released new version of gadgetshieldz protector with Matt finish look and i bought it. Now its looks perfect, it perfectly matches with body color tone. You wont be able to notice easily its there or not.

they dont have matt version on international one, I really liked rohits pics, although I have extreme guard, I ordered this one, I have used gadgetshield in my transformer prime.

Actually I tried using the international site and I posted the link above . It has free postage worldwide I tried UK and USA . But they haven't listed the matte one on the international site.

What is the warranty on gadgetshieldz? I know it is cheaper but peace of mind also is what you pay for.
My ghost armor has a lifetime warranty. If there is ever a scratch or peeling, I go back to the kiosk, they pul it off and put new one on no questions asked.

Thanks for all the info in this thread! I've got a HTC ONE in the mail at the moment. This is exactly what I was looking for. Now I've narrowed my choices to Ghost Armor Full Body Matte or Gadget Sheildz Full body Matte finish. Anyone can provide any recommendations? Any opinions on clear vs matte?
Also. Do they both include covers for the edges of the phone?

dbrand skins are out for Xperia Z3 Compact ( and Z3 )

Since this beautiful handset tends to be prone to scratches (there are a lot of reports on small scratches which are a rare thing if the glass is Gorilla Glass) because Sony wanted to cut corners for the price and therefore not using a scratch resistance glass for the back nor the front, I recommend every z3c user to use a skin for both sides to apply a better protect for their expensive purchase which also helps with the self cracking issue and also the very sensitive touch response.

The best of the skins makers I think is dbrand and they just released their awesome product for z3c and z3 as well. They are very customizable to differentiate your device, with great quality and a very easy and precise method to apply and are well priced IMO.
I recommend every Z3C user to apply skins on both glass sides to decrease the worries about cracks and scratches.
No brown leather
Do you think using a tempered glass protector on the back then a skin is a better way to go?
Also the image you posted isn't showing.

Can you point me to a bac tempered k glass protector, I found the Ultimate Shield Premium Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Sony Xperia Z3 Compact for £9.99
So I'm not sure whether to go for a glass on the back too? probably do need a vinyl protector which should make it less slippery.
How thick is your phone now with all the protectors on?

Hi, i'm interested to black "carbon fiber": using sometime a Puro Ultraslim 0.3 and a Nillkin super frosted shield i need to know the thikness of dbrand skin. With a standard back protector i have no problem, but with a Rhinoshield (about 0.27mm of thickness) i don't have perfect fit. I would like also to buy a Rigke Fusion (for outdoor use): anyone has dbrand carbon under a Fusion protection?
Damn it ... just ordered a Puro 0,3 some minutes ago -.-
Have a dbrand on my Nexus 4 and I love it!!

I have a black leather one on the way. When I get it and put it on, I'll post a photo.
Has anyone got their skins in the mail yet? I ordered two on Nov 18th and they emailed me on Nov 20th saying they were released from the warehouse, but I haven't received them yet. I ordered something from Hong Kong the same day I ordered the skins and I got the Hong Kong item a couple days ago.

Nope, haven't gotten mine either. I'll probably send dbrand an email about it soon.
Same problem
I have the same problem here... although I'm living in germany. My order was supposedly released on the 18th of November, and the ETA to Germany is 1-2 weeks, so its 1 week over its time...
Same situation with my skin. I'm afraid it will be exactly the same situation I had last year: ordered at the end of November, delivered to Poland around January the 10th ;(

I have always waited a pretty long time(I'm in the US) to get my order from them even after it says it's been released, considering they add $3 for shipping and it comes in an envelope with a stamp it should be faster. Now saying that their skins are very high quality. I think the company is probably 1-3 people and this is a side business so that could be the reason.

I haven't gotten mine either. I ordered on the first day it came out and my order was released from warehouse on the 18th but nothing yet. I'm on ConUS west coast. I've sent them an e-mail as a reply to the warehouse e-mail and through their website form but no response. I tweeted them yesterday and they said to e-mail but that they were migrating services or something and that their support was backlogged by 3,500 emails.
Seeing all the e-mails above aren't really reassuring though. Wonder what's up.
same issue: ordered Nov 15, past due, no skins
First post--have lurked here and learned so much great info.
It was this forum that clued me in to DBrand skins. I ordered two, but like many here--no shipment, no reply to polite email inquiry either. They must be busy but it seems that there are at least 5 of us here who all ordered approximately the same time--and none have yet received product, all are past longest estimated ship time and all have been charged. Really wish DBrand shipped with tracking info. Without that, I have no way of knowing if they were really shipped, lost in the mail, etc.
Am still hoping the skins show up, but am shocked it takes a month to get a letter from Canada to Ohio. Not a great 1st impression.
They had and probably still have problems with sending mails. Check their FB page for more info.
Regarding shipment time, according to my local post office (a piece of information from an owner of the place) shipment from Canada to Europe within 7-14 days is super optimistic, if not impossible. That's of course if dbrand is using the cheapest mail delivery option, their mail should come via ship, we shall expect more like 30-40 shipment time in Europe.

Best Rugged case

So I'm waiting on my OnePlus 3T. Other than that the overpriced Otterbox and what's OK Amazon, has anyone found a good rugged case that doesn't add a lot of bulk to the phone? Thanks.

I found this Orzly's case so good, maybe too width for you though. Look up for "Orzly® Grip-Pro Case" (XDA does not allow me to share links yet)

Some people might say that an Otterbox case is overpriced. While I agree that they are certainly costly compared to other cases out there, they do offer some pretty good protection. I see it like this... Some people get insurance on their phone because they know that one day they might need to make a claim and get a replacement phone. Me personally, I've never had insurance on a phone and have also never broken a phone. So instead of paying a monthly fee for something that might happen, I pay a one time fee to ensure that I'm getting good protection on a costly device. With that said I do have an Otterbox case for my OnePlus 3T and so far it's been great.
You can take a look at Poetic Cases. I'm rocking now the Revolution on my Moto Z Play, model made for Z Force, and I can tell you, for under 20$, u cannot find other 2 pieces case with protection on display, some plastic. The plastic will scratch easily but in the end, not the shell worth, just the nucleus . It's a little bulky, steady in hands and the back piece is made from hard plastic and the edges of it from some nice good TPU.
Sorry for my bad english skills. Hope you got the ideea.
anyone thinking about rhinoshield? (https://rhinoshield.io/collections/oneplus-3)
I saw a video on youtube where a dude using this bumper case on his 3, tried getting the phone damaged by dropping the phone from various heights. the phone was unscathed even after falling from 22 ft (2 storey up). however in general usage, the phone will (likely) not be falling from a 2 storey building but a user's pocket height, so the case seems good. however, at 25 USD, it feels a bit pricier. but i guess that's a better protection/weight tradeoff than most fully phone covers.
what's your opinion guys?
I use a Spigen Neo Hybrid Case on my 3T and I love it!!!
Good protection yet slim (adds 3,25mm thickness) and beautiful!
For my eyes it is the best looking case out there that adds enough protection.
And even the price is not bad with 14,99 Euro here in Germany or I think $17,99 on amazon.com.

I have this case. Works well, and will work with the oneplus 2 holster from Seidio if you are so inclined. Also works with the TGSP without causing the edges to lift up.
Definitely would recommend and second the spigen case.

The faux carbon fiber look at the top is great too, gives a D-Brand kind of feel to it.

Could you give me precise measurement of the case (with calipers )? I'm currently using a Tudia Merge (rugged dual layer) and I find it kinda wide and thick (that's what she said...). This Spigen looks good, but I don't want to spend yet another $10-$15 if they're the same.

Oh, I didn't think about that. Sometime they do put them a bit smaller than real life, but I guess I can still get an idea about it.

It's covering the microphone on the back!
The answer is OtterBox always. I have it in black and it feels awesome. Best protective case.
Picked up the Otterbox when I ordered my phone. Not sure how $25 is considered overpriced for the protection you want.
You get what you pay for.
