It's cool as a novelty Facebook app or even a lock screen, but it's too impractical to replace the home launcher.

You may need to change ro.product.brand= to Samsung

A question...
Will this technique work with CM10.1 running on I9100?
I installed the app, changed the build.prop and all I was getting was a black screen when I restarted...
I use Dorimanx's Kernel

I got it to boot but facebook home still showing that it isn't available for this device. Tried clearing data, didn't work.
I'm using RootBrowser to change the build.prop

Here's the build.prop

I just tried changing the build.prop on the Super Nexus ROM and the phone wouldn't reboot.
So for anyone out there that has this happen to them, just re-install the rom and your build.prop file should go back to normal.

Try to change
- ro.product.name=
- ro.product.device=
- ro.build.product=
to I9300 and reboot again.

If I'm reading you right, you're not doing it right. The point of changing the build.prop file is not to trick the Play Store into allowing you to download it, it's to trick the FB Home app linked in the OP into thinking it's installed on the right phone.
Install the app linked in the OP, not via the Play Store.

[MOD] Virtual Buttons For Teamhacksung's ICS (Build 17)

I made a thread for the captivate and got a few requests to make it for the sgs, so here it is. This mod will add virtual buttons on the screen like on the galaxy nexus.

DISCLAIMER: If the subforum and thread title are not enough for you, then let me tell you. This is for the sgs and the respective cm9 builds made for it. If you decide to flash this on any other phone or rom, or you decide to flash the package made for build 10 onto build 15, then don't come into the thread asking why your phone is stuck in a bootloop. Please take the time to read and make XDA a better place. Thank you and have a nice day.
The revert package will remove the mod by putting the original framework-res.apk from the rom back onto your phone. It is included in the folder with the update for each build.

I was looking at that last night and liked the pixelated text one, so I tried porting it from xhdpi to hdpi and it broke the buttons. I think it's just a problem with metamorph, though. The only problem is that it's in a completely separate file and I'm trying not to juggle too many projects at once and become overwhelmed when a new build comes out, so it's not something I really want to work on right now. However, anyone with winrar should be able to drag the image files right into the systemUI.apk as soon as they're ported without a problem after they're ported to hdpi (which I can do and hope to get out in a day or two.)

I've looked into it and haven't found anything yet. The only solution/workaround I've found is to change the backlight timeout to make them less noticable (in evice options in settings).
Hey mate! Thanks for the wallpaper and all of those answers! I think mine it's common issue.

F1 GalaxyNexus. Sorry, wasn't my intention, I take the trouble.
Hi, thanks for the Samsung keypad port, but....
I confirm.. Unfortunately it FCs all the time when I try to type anything..
I'm using MIUI 2.5.11 (4.0.4) on Samsung Galaxy S.
Anyway it has every setting and every language what I want. I was amazed when I saw Polish language settings and correct Polish language in keypad menu.
Is there a way to fix this to be working on MIUI 2.5.11 and above?

[MOD][Battery][8/7] - Percent Battery Mod - JRO03D BASE

Ok, someone requested this so I figured I would knock it out real quick for every to have.
Its basic percent battery mod by 1% increments with stock charging animation.
Thge image size is about 2px bigger than the stock ROM but if its gets any smaller you cant read it, lol.
This is for De-Odex ROMS. It can be flashed to Odex ROM but you must delete SystemUI.odex first.
THIS IS BASED on JRO03D and flashing on any other ROM is at your own risk!

This was exactly what I was looking for since I got my Nexus 7 a couple of weeks ago.
I'm on Odex stock ROM, unlocked and rooted (with TWRP 2).
I basically just followed your instructions from the first post and everything went smooth and without any problems.
Quick question, though: in case I decide to install the next OTA update from Google (whenever that may be) is this going to make this mod obsolete?

just like rodman said , i need more details ,
did it get flashed onto system ??
do u see app in app drawer ?
if u have root explorer please check in system/app folder and tell me if TWCalculator.apk is present
if not , it hasnt been installed , maybe cuz of insufficient space in system
am sure it will get flashed if there is enuf space
Works 99% perfect...only problem is that the size is not right. It doesn't fill the screen for some reason. It's aligned on the left side of the screen and top to bottom, but there is a 10% on the right side that's emptry/void. I tried reflashing it, nothing changed. I'm on 4.2.2 MF8, rooted, stock kernel.

Are you guys changing dpi from stock 240 ? Try disabling the navbar. As far as I know , sammy apps dont support multi-dpi.

DPI was the problem for me. I had forgotten about Samsung apps as I rarely use. Thanks
