Highest slim battery in the world for i9300? 2980mAh Battery X-Level - Galaxy S III Accessories

So I was going through eBay AU and I found this 2980mAh battery at 3.8V by a company called X-Level (not sure if it is by X-Level but this but check it out!) and I wanted to share this with you guys.
Here's the link -
I just ordered one and I'm going to check out if this does lasts longer than the stock battery 2100mAh at 3.8V. I'm also going to compare it to another 3rd party battery (with no brand, *l'll post link of this as well below) that is 2300 mAh battery at 3.7V. Has anyone tried this yet? I'm willing to post results as soon as I receive my battery.
*Here's the link to the other battery I mentioned above -

Share your results please

Will do.
And oops, forgot to post the links to the batteries. Updated OP.

Anyone have any prior knowledge of the brand? For that price I doubt it's going to be good.

If anybody has experience with this, also chime in :good:

You'd think at some point people would quit falling for these scams, but I guess not. There's no magical battery technology out there that allows a manufacturer to pack more capacity in the same size space.

thank you for that information. if this battery is not what it claims to be, I'll ask this thread to be closed.

FYI
Toshiba (if i were not mistaken) has now made batteries that has capacities of like 5200mah in a regular sized 2200mah battery. Meaning more juice in smaller pack.

Companies have been working on better battery technology and it shouldn't be much longer before they start showing up for sale to consumers. That said, this isn't anything more than a cheap knockoff with a different label.

My curiosity got the better of me and I bought one. I don't see any better battery life with this compared to the stock battery. I don't even use it since there is no NFC. If you want to Paypal me the cost for shipping, you can have mine.

Completely forgot about this thread, my apologies. However after usage I can tell you that this may be a very good alternative to stock, cheaper, whilst offering similar performance. Definitely not 2980 mAh though, however it is not a terrible purchase for $10.
Also the battery seems to fall out very easy when you take the back cover off, it does not fit snugly.

Best stock size battery

Exactly as the title suggests I'm looking for everyone's opinion on the best stock size battery for the Note. I've been using the Mugen battery but at times the bulk seems too much and I'm interested in trying something stock size that gets me at least a little better than stock battery performance.
Thoughts, opinions, experiences?

it is too expensive? any cheap battery for extend battery life of galaxy Note
I use the "golden battery", the sticker on it says 3250 mAh.. and that power stays at the sticker. It is roughly as good or just a tiny bit better than stock battery.
I get 3 hours 10 minutes maybe 20 minutes less or more each day of screen time on weekdays with stock battery. Let's use this as a standard for me.
With gold battery I get 3 hours and 40 minutes with a variation of 30 minutes more or less.
So it doesn't last 30% more as the sticker suggests.. but meh it lasts as much or a little bit more so I am not bothered with a 15 doller battery I can carry in my wallet as a backup

Also, it seems to handle charge/discharge better, it doesn't get as hot as stock under load.

I was thinking about it, and it seems plausible that the best stock sized battery for this phone at this moment would be a 2700mah one. If you look at it, the Mugen 5400mah extended battery is just 2, 2700mah batteries linked together.
Until a revolution in batteries is made, I don't think we'll get a stock sized one with a better mileage .
different capacity with stock size battery
It's mean the concentration become higher...
just wondering.
you know the anker charger that comes with the bundle if you buy 2 anker 2700 batteries?
does it charge the stock battery as well?

Of course, nfc is not available

The battery seems to be quite bulky. How much did u bought it for?
Ebay 12,99 euro
Yeah it's a bit bulky
I'm using a 3600 battery replacement in my old x10 with feralab rom and the battery usage is 5 days powering off phone at night.
wow that's big..
Yes, but believe me. It's more easier to hold the phone now with one hand.
Sorry, I like more a better battery than design.

No. As you can see in pictures, this battery is more bigger than original battery and needs a bigger cover.
But only for the rear cover. The battery fits correctly in his place.
Can you post measurements of the battery? (ie depth of battery and depth of phone with battery inserted).
The only reason I ask is because I ordered a 3600mAh version from ebay (thought it might be a bit slimer, for all it's worth... ;-) ) and the pictures used show some measurements.
See this url for an example:
**** sorry - can't post external links yet - not enough posts... ****
Search for "Galaxy s3 3600mah" in ebay and you'll find a few posts - the user I bought from is called "hightechhk-com"
(h**p://***.ebay.co.uk/itm/3600mAh-Extended-Battery-White-Door-Cover-for-Samsung-i9300-Galaxy-S3-III-New-/261045894976?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3cc78c3f40)
From quick observation they look very similar.
Also, how doea the back cover fit? Doubt it's up to the quality of the original (or is it?)
As soon as mine arrives i'll let you know how they perform.
Cheers
Good stuff. Please do a comparison step by step to the original one, as in exactly the same daily use and turn off at night if you do with both. Its interesting, I wouldn't buy it myself but I always wonder if these batteries are not that well made than original.

Please, be patient. Thank you.
I know that these batteries are made with a lower quality. But i'm sure that these batteries doesn't break your phone (tested in x10). I've heard something about gold batteries, but this battery is not a gold manufactured battery. It's from another manufacturer.
Good stuff. Let us know how you get on

I always use the supplied wall charger that comes with these so Idk, lots of the extended battery reviews on here are the same voltage & they seem to be doing pretty good.
It's not the charger which matters but the phone itself which charges the battery, it's aiming for 4.3V as that's what it thinks it should have as the stock battery is designed for that. Although I haven't heard a single case of these 4.2V batteries having problems with being charged with 4.3V, that last part can be changed in the kernel and the charger chip driver. I'm getting some knock-off cheap battery myself so I'll see how it goes. This particular one seems quite steep in price @ $30, with proven ones like the PolarCell 2400mAh going out for half the cost.
you won't see the affect right away from overcharging. I use to play with a lot of batteries from RC, overcharging something we use to do get slight edge and boost at start. but it does have long term damage to batteries, specially lithium based. some cheaper batteries even catch fire.
Alright guys, got the batteries in the mail today, charging one & will report back later

Li-ion batteries have an overcharge protection circuit built into the battery pack itself and should prevent this from happening. If everything is working as intended, it should be impossible for the phone to overcharge a battery. That's not to say the protection circuit couldn't fail itself.
And I too played with RC batteries and you really can't compare those batteries with these. Different types of battery with different methods of charging.

Am tempted by the 3000Mah battery by E-Cell....

Purchased a 2100mah previously to replace the 1450mah that was in my Sony Xperia Play.... Definately added a few more hours of play to it..... Hmmmm....

Extended battery with factory footprint?

Anyone know of a reputable extended battery that fits with the standard battery door? I don't need much more...maybe 4000mah or so would get it to go all day with how I use it. 6400 and 9000ish are way more than I need and I'm not interested in doubling (at least) the thickness of the phone. Saw one on some chinese website at 3500mah, but pretty sure I don't trust it. I have the zerolemon replacements and I swap out as I go, but I don't like carrying them with me. I like to travel light. Thanks.
Im curious to know this too.
Ive had bad experiences with buying extended, but similar to stock size batteries. They tend to actually be lower capacity than stock... cheap pieces of crap with false labels. (Ex: my old phone's battery was 1650mAh. I bought three different 2000mAh batteries over the phone's lifetime. One was actually 800mAh, one was 1000mAh, and one was something around 900mAh.)

3 ways.
First, there was the fact that my phone went from 8hrs of typical usage to only 4hrs with same usage patterns and ROM.
EDIT: I had a Hyperion battery and it actually only gave me 3hrs!!!!! I also had a Bluegate Kobe and it only gave me 4. The third battery was an EVO and it gave me about 6, but it wasn't as good as stock.
A second way was that I used an app to measure my mAh (don't have the app name right now. Not installed now and can't find it, but it's a popular one).
EDIT: The app was Battery Monitor Widget. I used the stock battery first to get a base mAh based on my actual usage over a week. Then used the 3rd party batteries and did the same. The 3rd party batteries came out to be FAR less mAh than stock.
The third way only applies to one of the batteries (EDIT: The Hyperion I had). I removed the label and printed on the actual battery under the label was the true mAh, which was half of what the label said. (The sticker said 2200mAh, but the battery said 1100mAh)
Plus all the labels were cheap stickers. The batteries looked more legit online than they dI'd in person. In person, they look homemade and felt lighter than the stock battery. (MUCH lighter).
EDIT: To be clear, all of this was with my old phone, a Galaxy S2.
Also, that Battery Monitor Widget app didn't seem to work with the OGP, which is why I don't have it installed still.

That's one tip-off that there's something wrong here.
The other biggie is that they say the battery is FCC Approved. Which sounds real important, except, the FCC doesn't "approve" batteries in any way I've ever heard of.
The battery business is infamous for outright fakes, counterfeits, and junk. It isn't easy to get real prime-quality products at good prices. And the stuff from unknown vendors? Really, how many reports of battery fires and explosions does it take to make anyone worry about leaving a no-name battery or a no-name-source battery charging while you sleep?
I'd rather carry a hot-shot (USB battery) charger around "just in case".

[Q] Where can I find Samsung 2000 mAh battery in India?

Hi All,
I am unable to find "Samsung 2000 mAh original battery with back cover"i.e.EB-K1A2EBEGSTD in India. Any attempts to search the product online leads me to links which are dead or have the product as out of stock. There was just one link which was selling it but it was from UK and the overall expense was 42 pounds which is more than 3k in INR. I do not think the original product costs that much.
Tried to search on XDA with no success.
Any information on shops/dealers/online links would be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I have read here on xda that usually its not of 3500mah, it's much lesser. To top that, it makes the phone quite bulky. So the optimum limit I found was 2000mah with extended back panel which doesn't screw up s2's looks

I was looking for EB-K1A2EBEGSTD and you are mentioning a different model number.
Also, the international delivery will cost me 1/3rd of the overall expense, which I wanted to avoid.
Thanks for your response anyways.
nice
Found a link on ebay.

This one costs 4150 INR approx which is way above my range for a battery. I am still looking for the best deal but posting this link for the people who are looking for one.
Had to settle with a chinese 3500 mah battery. it has made my s2 lose its sex appeal.
few hours and its running fine. hope it actually is 3500 mah and it doesnt explode.

As it is Chinese battery I don't expect it to be real 3500 mah, but even if it's turned out to be 2500+, I will be really happy. After a full discharge and full charge I m using it first time. 15 hours and I am at 83% with not much of use, I guess almost an hr screen time.
Will report a proper usage after few days and few charge cycles.
Hi buddy from where for you get the Chinese battery?
Any links?

This is where i bought it from. Unfortunately for me the prices have been dropped for this
using this Chinese battery for around six months, over time the battery backup becomes low, but still phone would work for all day on a full charge, I also got it from some ebay seller for 900 rs
