Amazon Prime on JellyBean 4.1.2 - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Does anyone know how to get Amazon Prime videos to play on G Note2?
I have flash for ICS side loaded, but videos won't play. Other flash content works.

Thank you. There are many Google links, but the best points to an xda thread that I've read many times. That thread has a link to a thread that describes how to get pinch zoom working, and I've contributed to that thread. My problem is that I can get flash"working", but only on other sites, not Amazon prime. The AP videos will start, and I can even pause and resume, but I don't see any video. I've tried many flash versions, many browsers and many user agent settings, but haven't found any combination that works on 4.1.2. Any thoughts on where to go from here? I'd like to find someone on JB 4.1.2 who has it working and get their exact settings.

I don't use Amazon Prime either. But my better half does, and I'm trying to help her out.

I think it's an Amazon thing that prevents playing the movies on anything other than a Kindle, even if you pay for Prime, which I do, and I am pretty sure that I should be able to watch the movies I pay for, in addition to the Prime membership fee, on any device I want. (rant over).

I totally agree with you!
Though Amazon does let you watch movies on other devices like Roku etc, but thats not what all of us here care so much about

On JB 4.1.1 it was possible to watch Prime on a Note 2 by installing Flash and setting the User Agent to desktop. That is according to reports in the threads about installing Flash on JB. It seems that something changed with 4.1.2.

[Q] New Android Market

I downloaded the New Android Market app and then downloaded a movie after trying to play the movies it says movie will not play on rooted device. Anyone else having this issue?
Google movies won't play on rooted devices. It knows that your device is rooted, and has to do with copyright protection. That's the way it is right now.

big brother knows... your right about the copyright protection. they dont want anyone using a rooted device because then google just became the "new pirate bay". you could buy the movie. copy it with TB or any back up. ask for a refund and have the movie for free.

Another issue that I'm getting with new market is apps say they have update, but when you try to update no option to. I restored back to old market until the dev put in rom.
Hmmm I rolled back and hours later the new one auto updated.

You don't want to try to rent movies on a rooted phone. Since root allows us to modify framework and potentially remove DRM, you can't actually view the movie you just paid for because content providers asked Google to restrict rooted users from accessing movies, even though you can still pay for it.
@mikeew83,
Not sure if you do this already, but check the android development and hacking forums. There is a section for apps and games, it's a great place to find apps.

That's where I got the updated market, downloaded netflix long before the official app came out for our phones, and a few other apps that I'd never have found if I didn't look in that forum. Definitely worth taking a couple minutes each day to browse if you ask me.

I don't know why people have to do things like that. It just encourages piracy. I really want to be an honest person, but they make it so hard sometimes.

even thought flash player isnt officially supported some users can get it to work by side loading the apk
I never will understand why people get upset so much when a questioned is asked more then once. Sure it is annoying but is it really that serious to flame people? Is xda paying you to flame n00bs or flame period?

Yes, there is no. Video Playback. There is sound when I play a YouTube video.
Also having problems playing YouTube video clips. Plays them when using my wifi connection but won't when using Vodafone H+/3G connection even though it is loading Facebook and browser pages?
Currently using Omega V26 but was the same when using Cyanogenmod 9?

Yeah, some of the books are a bit girly but if you have a look back through the links there are some decent books.
I got a kid's book about juggling bees that my son thinks is great and a couple for the Mrs, too.
Best thing is, if the cover and title caught your attention but the content is rubbish, delete it, you've lost nothing.
I'll be on the lookout for anything supernatural, that's all she reads. And she wonders why she has to sleep with the light on!

[Q] Always on Google Now mic?

I know someone on XDA made an app that allowed this, but I can't find it for the life of me. Does anyone know the name of the app? Thanks.

I know that the new Moto-X phone will be "always listening" and Google Now can be activated anytime by voice. However, there is yet to be solid confirmation this will be rolled out to other devices. One reason most devices do not use this is probably the strain it puts on the battery, always having to process audio.
A lot of threads seem to discuss this - how to achieve this task. However, it appears the general consensus is that the battery would drain to quickly.
I'm sorry this didn't really answer your question, maybe in the coming weeks, once people get their hands on the Moto-X, the hardware to implement the hands free Google Now will be studied in an attempt to replicate.
EDIT: I found something! I found an app in the play store called Open Mic+. It is really new and seems to accomplish the task you are talking about. The performance seems to be iffy for now, as its still in beta, and reviewers say it drains battery, but it could be really cool.
There's an app on Google play store called Google Mic +, it's the only one I could find. Works pretty well actually.
