Even if you download from XDA you can still purchase PRO key and key will be managed by Play Store. This means that once unlocked, app will always be unlocked - no matter if it is installed from XDA or Play Store. You can switch between XDA/PlayStore version any time without loosing key.

I think soft keys detection might be the problem. I attached new build to first post, please try it: HideSoftKeys_0.1.without_detection.apk

Great findings ... Remove the red layer add an option for permanent remove of the soft keys, release it to the market and take my money...

Good start, layout problem on my Xperia z, so can't access recent apps. Needs to be able to call menu when needed and that would sort it, or margins adjusting, dectection a little hit & miss, looking forward to updates. Subscribed.

I have Nexus 7 and it is working very well on it. I attached first version to the thread. Please help me test it on more devices.
I have more ideas what features I can add, but first I want to make sure that technology works.
If you know friends with other devices that have soft buttons, please spread the word, I want to test it on as many devices with soft buttons as possible before release. I based app on ICS, but if needed I probably can reduce Android version too.
It does NOT modify system files. If something unplanned happens, just reboot your device and it will restore your stock navigation bar.
Unique Features:
* Hide soft keys on any rooted device (Phone UI only).
* Auto hiding navigation bar replacement - swipe trigger upwards to show it.
Differences to other status bar hiding apps:
* Does not remove notification bar
* Does not modify system
* No need to reboot
* Stock Notification panel and settings pannels are fully working
* Stock recent apps list is fully working
* No problems with receiving phone calls
Known problems:
* It does not detect Tablet UI and will try to remove navigation bar, but fail. I will add detection later.
* Sometimes resets wallpaper to default.
Version without detection does not try to determine if your phone has soft keys and simply try to hide them. If you tried normal version and navigation bar does not disappear even for short period, try version without detection.
DO NOT INSTALL IF YOUR DEVICE DOES NOT HAVE SOFT BUTTONS OR USE TABLET UI

Hi i have GMD Gesture control-pro , Will you add this mod in the future into your main app?

@StupidIdea
testet on Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 and it works fine.
Thanks for this. The Screens are from my Nexus 4 with my Rom and Hell(s) core b7!
I've voted 5 Stars

Thanks. Button alignment is minor issue. I'm still a bit confused with feedback. Navigation bar removal should be permanent until you turn Auto Hide off or reboot your device. So if you tested the app, please state:
1) Device
2) Is navigation bar removed and does not reappear
3) Navigation bar reappear when you turn Auto Hide off.
4) Any button alignment or trigger problems for status bar replacement.
I investigated how Android determines if menu button is needed and I have no access to this information. I can only display it always, but I will make it smaller.

Nexus 7 3Gwith MoDaCom ROM JR10. App works fine, NavBar hides and keeps hidden. Reappears after switching off autohide. I have a red stripe on th e bottom, assume the area for navbar activation. Does not look nice, transparent would be my choice, even better the whole bottom area, just a finger swipe upwards.
Issue: Interferes with fullscreen+, assume because both apps use a similar trigger for hiding. Even switching fullscreen off, not uninstall, brings it back for apps I have activated for fullscreen+, this means notification bar vanishes and I have the left/right corner buttons of fullscreen+ back.
Could be a replacement for fullscreen, think about adding a quicknavbar and you have me ... well done!

Hello i really love this app and Gesture Control app, one of the best apps ever. Here is my feedback:
1.- Nexus 4
2.- I removed the app and navigation bar didn't appear until i rebooted my phone.
3.- The navigation bar does reappear if you turn auto hide off ( sometimes it change my wallpaper).
4.-When i use LTM at the button, the buttons of navigation bar of the app doesn't work.
I have a question, Can you delete the red line and just by swiping it appear?
thanks in advance, good work man!

When application start, does not do anything. It's only hide bar when you turn auto hide on so your not able to hide navigation bar permanent...

I have some ideas what I want to add to final version but I will be glad to hear ideas too. Trigger is visible in this development version. Full version will have options to hide, resize and reposition it or turn off completely if you use other means for navigation like gestures or button savior. So far I'm glad the main thing works, but I still need to fix device type detection, so it does not try to hide navigation bar. I will post updates here.

Great work man..Yea it would be great if it uses auto hide just like how it hides in XPERIA Z when viewing images or videos.

I can't wait the final app... Will you implement this to your gestures control app?

Thanks, updated supported device list :fingers-crossed:. Do buttons look ok?
Hi there...
I just try your app and have few comments.
- Softkey could we biger, just like original. It is not necessarily to be smaller because - they can be hidden
- Vibrate on key press is missing thing for me
- After few turning on and off my phone reboot (Gnex, stock 4.2.2., I9250XXLJ1, JDW39)
I am not developer but I was always askin why someone don't make hiden navigation bar (buttons) and activate it just like we swipe our notification bar. Just like that and but very smooth. Al that PIE's and invisible areas was too laggy and don't enough responsive to me. You are very close to my idea and if this will work I think your app have potencial.
Good luck
Hello guys, i have my own implementation of this, I made it long time ago, but haven't released to public until today

Donator here: Could it be possible to be able to disable the glow and maybe to add another section where you can be able to change the nav bar icons from a respository of sorts? Thanks! Keep up the good work!

Try newest development version. I added theming funtionality.
hello, developer. Pro buyer here. Your app is very nice indeed and works great. I'm using it on my gnex with rooted stock rom. I just have the following observations:
1. It seems the app makes scrolling of the recent apps stuttery.
2. May I request for an option to use the stock 3-dot menu icon, instead of the 3-bar menu icon? The 3-dot icon blends better with the stock icons, in my opinion.
3. The menu icon randomly appears. (I have disabled it.)
Thanks!

5) Unlock icon not shown on Jelly Bean unlock widget if you restore old settings. You need to add an Icon to unlock profile or use 'Reset' on the Jelly Bean widget profile page
FAQ:
1) No I will not create JKay Deluxe for the I9500.
2) Yes you will have to purchase again if coming from I9100 or I9300. This is 100% rewritten and now uses in-app purchases.
3) Framework and App is free. And most feature will stay free!
4) No ETA... this is a complete rewrite... both apk and framework.
5) How to install:
* Root your phone using latest CF-Auto-Root
* Install a CWM like this one
* Use CWM to install framework zip
* Install Deluxe Settings like any other Android app.
NOTE: Take a look at Mobile Odin for flashing and keeping root.
6) Can you port this to my phone?
Sorry.. I can do JKay for the phones I own. Currently that means the I9505. People are allowed to port JKay Deluxe. But only as a whole. This means that it will require the Deluxe Settings.apk to work and that all the features in Deluxe Settings works 100%. And as I don't have that phone I cannot do support on these ported phones!!
7) I just need this one feature from your framework. Can I port that?
Read question 6 and the rules on XDA. You must ask for permission before using any of my code or resources!!!!! Otherwise I will report you!!!
8) It does not work, can you please help?
Ok... Before you post questions like this please ask yourself: Does my question lead to other questions? Here are a few tips for posting questions.
* read all of this FAQ
* do a simple search
* be specific: never use words like 'it does' etc...
* make sure people are able to reproduce your issue
* specify rom version, custom rom name, kernel, theme name, JKay Deluxe version other mods installed...
* if you use a version that was ported to a different rom (PDA version) by another person and have problems then never ever ask for support in this thread!!! Don't even mention the problem in this thread!! People might think that there are issues with my mod when in fact there are not!
DOCUMENTATION
LED indicator
On the I9505 there is an LED indicator that can flash blue if you receive a notification and the screen is off. As soon as the screen is turned on this notification LED turns off.
When you show the notification panel then this notification is removed from the LED list so it wont flash blue again when the screen turns off. This is standard behaviour.
With JKay Deluxe this will all change. You can now have the LED flash in any color, with any frequency for any notification. You can even have it flash when the screen is on and when the notification panel is shown.
Check 'Use custom LED' to turn on custom LED color and frequencies.
To add a new led notification use the menu and select either 'Add new LED notification' or 'Add latest received'.
'Add latest received' will use the information from the latest notification you have received for the new entry.
All you have to do here is to edit the optional Filter field, select color and On time in ms and Off time in ms.
The Filter field can be used for matching the notification with the ticker text received. This way you can have a certain color and frequency for each person when receiving phone calls etc. like this: say I want a certain color for when my wife calls me. I enter Filter text : Missed call from The Wife
Filter is not case sensitive! Then I would select the Phone app, pick a color and frequency. Done.
Note that the LED will flash in the selected frequency and color when selecting the color.
And also note that the S4 is not very good as reproducing colors using the red green and blue LED.
Disable LED for a specific notification:
If you don't want to have your LED indicator flashing when you receive a gmail for example then simply make an entry for gmail and select 'Disable' from the menu. Make sure it's still activated and that you have enabled Custom LED.
Action profiles
Action profiles can combine many settings and actions into one action. Say you have a bluetooth headset and want to listen to your internet radio while on the go. With action profiles you can create one profile to say: launch TuneIn Radio, set bluetooth on, set data on, set wifi off, set media volume to 8. This action profile can then be use from anywhere... you can place it on the power menu, on a custom action menu, on long pressing a button, on the lock screen, on the quick launch panel etc..
You can even make it a toggle profile. This means that if you launch the action profile again then if would check if the TuneIn Radio application is running, and if it is then kill it, turn off bluetooth, turn off data and turn on wifi.
How to create an action profile:
1) Start Deluxe Settings and go to Actions
2) Press action profiles to see a list of existing action profiles
3) Press menu key and select 'New action profile' or 'New toggle profile'
4) Give it an icon, title and summary
5) If you select toggle profile then you can also set an off icon and a off text for the profile
6) Press '+ Add action' to add an action to the profile
7) Select a profile action from the list.. the 'Action menu' will bring up a menu with a list of action profiles
8) Keep adding actions until your profile is done.
9) Press on icon or off icon to change the icon for the profile. Here you can select a png from your sd card or an apk and use the icon from the apk.
10) If it's a toggle profile then the first action selected will be the matching value for the toggle profile. This means that if that value is on then all on-actions will be switched off and all off-actions will be switched on.
How to put an action profile on an action menu:
1) Start Deluxe Settings and go to Actions
2) Make an action profile that contains the 'Action menu' action and give it a title and dialog title
3) Press 'Edit action menu options' to see the list of action profiles on the Action menu
4) Press on an entry and select the wanted action profile
5) Select if the action profile should be visible when authenticated and/or on the secure lock screen
6) Move the action profile to the wanted position in the list
How to put action profiles on the Phone options dialog:
1) Start Deluxe Settings and go to Actions
2) Select 'Power button' entry and select 'Edit phone options'
3) Press on a '* Press to select AP *' or any other '* *' entry and select action profile
4) Select if the action profile should be visible when authenticated and/or on the secure lock screen
5) Move the action profile to the wanted position in the list
How to put an action profile on a button:
1) Start Deluxe Settings and go to Actions (or go to More -> Lockscreen if it's Home button while on lock screen)
2) Select what button to configure (Back, Home or Menu)
3) Select if it should be long press or very long press or double click (if home button)
4) Set the time-out value
5) Press on action profile to select a different action profile from the profile list
Note: if both long and very long press action profiles have been set then release button when phone vibrates to select long press action profile!
How to put an action profiles on home screen:
1) Start Deluxe Settings and go to Actions
2) Press action profiles to see a list of existing action profiles
3) Select a profile or create a new using menu
4) Press menu and select 'Create home shortcut'
5) Go find your shortcut on your home screen and place it where you want it
How to put action profiles on your lock screen:
1) Start Deluxe Settings and create the needed action profiles
2) Press more and Lock screen
3) Select your Unlock widget
4) Check the option 'Use profiles on unlock widget'
5) Select 'Edit lock screen profiles' and select the action profiles for the unlock widget
Current list of actions: Action menu, Application to kill, Application to launch, Application to remove, Blocking mode on, Blocking mode off, Bluetooth on, Bluetooth off, Call number, Close all application, Download, Flashlight on, Flashlight off, Flight mode on, Flight mode off, GPS on, GPS off, GSM only, Home, Kill foreground app, Lock now, LTE auto, Mobile data on, Mobile data off, Multi window show/hide, Power off, Recent apps show/hide, Recovery, Remove foreground app, Restart, Screen off, Screen timeout, Screen timeout until screen off, Search key, Secure mode on, Secure mode off, Sound on, Sound off, Sync on, Sync off, Take screenshot, Text number, Toggle apps, Unlock, Vibrate, Vibrate on, Vibrate off, Volume alarm, Volume media, Volume notification, Volume ringer, Volume system, WCDMA auto, WCDMA only, Wi-Fi on, Wi-Fi off.
... and a lot more will come!
Unlocked applications
You may have asked yourself 'Why would I need to be able to have the Samsung lock screen before the secure pin lock?' or 'Why would I want multiple widgets on the secure pin lock?'... Well because you are now able to run application without the need to enter pin code! Select the apps you want unlocked... it could be the Camera, Music player, the Calculator or Sticker notes.
Simply select the Lock screen page and check 'Enable unlocked applications' and select the apps you want unlocked. It's perfectly safe! There is no way to access any other app!
Keep in memory
Make your favourite application stay in memory always! This will cause the start of the application to be almost instant! Memory on Android is there to be used. But do NOT put large games on the Whitelist. Only whitelist small good behaving apps that you use a lot.
How to whitelist an application: One the More page check 'Keep in memory' and select the applications you want whitelisted. I currently have TouchWiz Home, Contacts, Messaging and Gmail on my list.
Check running processes in Application Manager to see what whitelisted apps you are running. They have 1 process and 0 services.
Unkillable apps
Say you have put long press to kill apps on the back key and you don't want it to kill certain apps then put the apps on this list and they will be safe from remove and kill actions.
Secure mode
Use the action 'Secure mode on/off' to disable you pin/pattern/password lock screen. This way you can quickly enable/disable security. Simply put it on in an Action profile and use it anywhere you like...

Intro and progress info
Speed up access to settings and applications. Small, simple, fast without battery drain. How I think Samsung should have made it!
It only needs a supported rom (odexed or deodexed) and CWM to install it.
This is early alpha... expect missing features and bugs!

Glad to see you here in S4 section! Great news!

Thanks for a beatiful mod <3
I'm disappointed that I have to purchase again . a lot of apps rewritten to fit to different devices and don't ask for money again.

But it is different here. Live with it or skip it
It is one of the most expensive phones on the market and another euro will not make any difference
Hi Jkay, glad you are here, and gladly pay for your NEW work here in I9505. Thanks

[Root][App] GMD AutoHide Soft Keys

I'm developing app that allows to hide soft keys without modifying the system and without reboot. In only hides soft keys and leaves notification bar intact. After hiding soft keys I replace them similar auto hiding bar with Back, Home, Recent Apps and Menu buttons.
* Does not modify system
* No need to reboot
* Stock Notification panel and settings panels are fully working
* Stock recent apps list is fully working
* No problems with receiving phone calls
Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmd.hidesoftkeys
I'm collecting new ideas for future updates
0.93:
- Added Google Now button when Home is hovered. Added animation.
- Added option to hide QuickNav bar when empty space on bar is pressed.
- Added option to keep/hide QuickNav bar when pressed anywhere else on scren.
- Added option to delay bar hide after pressing soft button. Pressing new button resets delay.
Will this work on my nexus using 160 dpi for tablet mode??

1) CM is not supported yet. Stock roms and PA are supported.
2) App allows to hide navigation bar on stock rom without loosing notification bar and without modding the system.
3) Quick NavBar from this app or Pie is matter of taste. I prefer bar as it allows to execute multiple Back's, or click multiple buttons, but even if you like Pie you can use app to hide soft keys and disable Quick NavBar.

Only Phone UI is supported at the moment, but N7 with just notification bar usable and soft keys hidden looks cool. I have N7 myself.
0.94:
- Theming. Select any PNG for buttons, for example: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1413582
- Shortcut to show Quick NavBar. If you like Quick NavBar, now you can disable trigger and use GMD Gesture Control to show it.
- Short Google Now button delay.
- Button spacing slider
- Trigger color picker and transparency slider.
- Support for devices without soft buttons - Galaxy Note's and similar phones.
- Changed auto hide delay slider to milliseconds.
I bought the PRO version trough the app with one google sync account, but when i use two google accounts to sync in my nexus 7 the app lock PRO features and only reconize my second google account. I bought the pro version with the first account and i can't switch to this account when i click to unlock PRO version. How can i fix this without delete one of my accounts?
0.95:
- Trigger now auto hides (become transparent) in full screen apps like YouTube, video and games. You can still show Quick NavBar with swipe in full screen.
- Added built in themes: NEXUS, NEXUS2, GALAXY, XPERIA, RAZR, HONEYCOMB
- Custom... theme - user can select custom images for buttons.

I think you need to setup same google play account on your second user. I just use standard Google Play api .
Works great on my 1st Gen N7 with 4.3, but a number of apps (including Chrome) don't display app thumbnails properly in the stock app switcher while this is enabled. They appear as a black box with a few UI elements visible. Disabling AutoHide immediately corrects it. Works lovely otherwise.

Hide or replace navigations buttons on Xperia M

To hide and / or replace the navigation buttons on Xperia M I would like to recommend GMD AutoHide Soft Keys.
I have installed it and it works perfect
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/themes-apps/root-gmd-autohide-soft-keys-t2253770
It is highly customizable
You can set the bar that appears when you slide from the bottom and hide by tapping the side
This lets you use the phone with the slightly larger screen
regards
Nice
Works great
Thanks for the tip. One problem I keep having is hitting the home key instead of the space bar while texting. Very annoying! I will try this app and see if I can solve this problem and report back.
Edit: Okay, after a few hours playing with it (pro version) here are my experiences with it with Xperia M:
1) Changed my wallpaper without asking
2) Removed alarm notification from top notification tray, had to reset (turn off then on) my alarms to get it back
3) Removed battery percentage symbol from top notification tray, had to toggle it off and on in settings to get it back
4) "Spoof Soft Keys" option does nothing. What's it supposed to do? I am assuming it would make a clear space where the regular softkeys would be in effect pushing everything back up but toggling that option does nothing at all.
5) The quickbar does not work (cannot be swiped or tapped into view) when the far right icon "Recent Apps Button" is selected. You have to tap somewhere on the screen in order to back get out of recent apps view (the small apps launcher is probably too blame)
6) The selectable Xperia icons in the app are not the same as our Xpermia M icons
Edit 2
7) App doesn't work automatically on reboot with Xperia M. I had to actually click on its icon to get it to work again after a reboot. No good, uninstalled it
theres an alternative for hide nav bar, using UDN lite
original thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2270198
use xposed to work properly
works great on stock and cm 11 beta 3

Yes, after two days of testing UDN is working fine for me too. Just sucks that you have to install a seperate module (Xposed) to make it work

You can use build.prop to hide the soft key navigator, so Xposed is no need. But I don't like this method, this seems to be a pain when undo if this UDN suddenly stop working

Features i'd like to have on my OnePlus5T

As the title says, there are some things i miss from my old nexus 6:
-[statusbar]click on clock and open clock
-[statusbar]click on date and open calendar
-[statusbar]doube tap to lock the screen
-[navbar] settings where to change color (static custom color, color from app[like statusbar])
-[navbar] settings to add text cursor
-[navbar] settings to hide navbar after X seconds or permanently or to swipe up to get the navbar
-[navbar] settings to change spacing on navbar elements or to order them
-[navbar] long press back button to kill app
-[navbar] custom apps on fast double click/long press on navbar icons
-[volume buttons] settings to move text cursor with volume up/down or inverse
-[lockscreen] change apps shortcuts
-[homescreen] swipe to left/right for google now or some other custom app
-[ambient-display] change how notifications are shown (like stock pixel/nexus)
can someone tell me if there are apps (magisk compatible) that can add this features?
PS: tell me also if there are some other cool feature that we can get on OnePlus5T
Give the LineageOS team time. They'll come up with firmware that'll incorporate all of that. And speaking as a user of the original G1, I miss hardware keyboards.
A proper working notification slider.
