Pushing a apk - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

I'm trying to push a apk with root explorer. Once I get to install it says app not installed. I changed R/W to R/O like I'm suppose to. And when I install the apk I go to system/app and I copy and paste. Any suggestions would be helpful thanks.

Root explorer works better. Your doing something incorrect. Are you rebooting once pushed and installed?

Use root explorer, works better. When you have pushed the apk to the correct location press and hold on the apk until a list comes up, click permission, then change it. It should look like this

It says unable to install or something else? Are you just clicking on the apk to install it or are you actually moving the apk to system/app then setting permissions?

If you are rooted, you set permissions via root explorer. Open root explorer, go to that apk folder and press the button in the top right corner of the screen. It will probably say r/o. After you press it, it should change to r/w.

[MOD] CRT animation

[DEPRECIATED] I'll work on getting Stock EL29 up soon.
Well, there was a thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1270232
But it appears the link is down. So, for anyone else that wants it I've edited a stock framework and you can grab it below. What does it do? It is completely stock framework other then the fact that the CRT screen off animation is enabled. Push it to system/framework.

I downloaded using the link in the OP. Used Root Explorer to rename the existing APK inside system/framework , then pasted the DLd apk in its place.
Immediately Titanium Backup hit me with an FC, then Market. I rebooted.
When my phone came up all of my sync accounts were gone, including my Market gmail account. Smart Keyboard Pro is gone as the default and Swype is back. Etc.
That'll learn me to Nandroid first.

Yep. I don't remember how to do it in Root Explorer but you may need to fix permissions (I use File Manager it makes it a lot easier). Once you reboot they should be there.

K. First change the one apk file so that copy copy doesn't show in it. Then long press on them, select permissions and just select every check box on the popup.
Then regular tap on the apk and attempt to install. You may get a message saying the app didn't install, ignore it.
Now reboot your phone. Hopefully that will fix it. If not there might be compatibility issues with the ROM itself.
It must be a rom thing still not showing up. Mmmmmm dam blazer rom lol

On the Verizon model, there IS NO "phone.apk" in the System/App folder. There is a "SecPhone.apk", but making changes to it makes you lose your Verizon service, both voice and data.

How did you install it? Did you use adb and push it to /system/app? Did you use root explorer and copy it to /system/app and then edit the permissions appropriately? Or did you just open the apk to install?
