[Q] Headphones won't plug in. - HTC One V

Hi. I have a problem whit my One V. I have bought new pair of headphones and those have worked properly until now. I held phone and headphones in my pocket and now my heaphones won't plug in or phone won't recognize those. Standard HTC headphones that came whit phone are working, and phone notices those in headphone jack. Also new headphones work, I tried those out.
Phone is HTC one V whit myONEv RC9.5 FX+ ROM. Thanks in advance for help.
E: I have rebooted, cleaned headphone jack whit pressure air and tested on my PC

Have you tried rebooting?

Yes, whit headphones "plugged in" and not in. I have also tried to clean up the jack whit compressed air.

test the headphones with another mobile/pc and check if the headphones are working.

Yeah, I have tried those on my PC and they worked.

you need stereo headphones because that type of headphones are supported by HOV
you can try your headphone in another htc also

[Q] Headphone audio

Hi,
My Desire has developed this problem that i cant seem to understand what's causing it, please help.
When i play music from the phone on my headphones the left channel audio output is fine, but the right channel volume is really low and feels like its only playing some frequencies like only backing vocals in some tracks. I'm running LeeDroid 3.0.6 and I used doubletwist before this problem. Now I've tried the default music app and PowerAMP player, both gave the same output as before. I've also tried alot of different headphones HTC, Koss, Shure headset and cheapos, no change in output.
Also i used to play the audio in my car before this connected directly to the power amp through a 3.5mm to RCA cable(could this have caused the problem). I used all kinds of Y cables heavy ones light ones before the problem. Now I've just stopped using it for audio in the car.
And before this became permanent, this would happen but a little jiggle on the headphone jack would do the trick.
Also the controls on the original HTC headphones arent working either.
My Question: is this a problem with the 3.5mm headphone jack or another underlying major problem? Or is it because of dirt or some easily resolvable problem in the 3.5mm jack?
Note: I can't claim warranty.
Any help guys?

That thing with the car amp might have made a problem, but I don't really think so. Notice that desires headphones output is stereo,so its normal to hear tthe vocals or the backing tune only on one earpiece, as long as you hear the full sound when wearing both as far as the headphones controllers, they might wore off from use... Anyway if tou feel like there is a problem, first run an ruu and try again with the stock rom (to see if its a software problem) and if that doesn't fix it, send it @htc for service. That's the safest way

Weird Headphone problem

So my DHD has a "little" problem with the audio. When i put in some earphones the left Side works perfectly but the right side is incredibly quiet. When i turn up the volume i think its broken but i can clearly here the music when i put out the working earphone. Is this a bug related to any Rom? I'm running Trickdroid 3.0 with Tweakpack. Or is it a Problem with all my headphones? I used the HTC DHD Headset before and they worked.

No idea anyone?
try another rom, I'm using Sabsa Prime v7.0 and its working fine. maybe your headphone are broken or jack on phone
In my experience, cleaning DHD's jack with cotton swabs and ethanol works
Be careful, too much ethanol can make your DHD brick, you know.

I've never seen cotton swabs that fit into the 3,5mm jack.
But thanks for the tip, i'll try it.

Earphone not being recognised

I have a Htc one M7 and it is not recognising the earphones which came with it. It is recognising all other earphones and headphones but not the ones i got from HTC. Also when i try to use these earphones on any other devices, they work fine!
They aren't just working with my phone ? What should i do?

yeah I have the same issue. Just try to clean it for dust and if no go, then try pushing the headphone jack to the side where is the first metal connection inside the phone. It seems that's the one with the issue. Pushing the top part of the jack to the side will solve the issue temporally until you unplug the headphones. For a more permanent solution, I would try to gently with a screwdriver push out the first small metal connection inside the jack hole in the phone so it makes better contact with the headphone jack. Like I said before the metal connection with the problems is the first one and thats why it works with regular headphones because they do not make use of it. Hope this helps
App fix
You can search for an app called SoundAbout on the PlayStore, this allows you to manually enable the earphone jack with the app. My OEM earphones stopped working after 6 months and this app is a workaround.
Same problem, SoundAbout solves it. Thanks!

[Q] Weird Headphone/Earphone Issue.

So i tried playing music on my a1 through my earphones ( nokia earphones u get in most nokia phones with a square button+clip) but the issue which came up the sound was distorted , this same thing happened in my pc and if the button on the mic was always pressed then they work normal and awesome. so i pressed the button while listening on phone and they worked normal and nice without any distortion.
AFAIK its based on the jack present on the phone , that the earphone jack supports the jack in the phone.
Am i the only one or everybody has the same thing/jack.

You said the HTC one doesn't see the earphones but does the audio still work?
Seems like the audio needs to be forced through the audio jack. Try https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.woodslink.android.wiredheadphoneroutingfix&hl=en .
You might as well buy new ones.
