[Q] Help think Bricked my HTC One x

Hi all , hope someone can help , I can only get into fastboot on it , it does a bootloop thats all , is it easy to reinstall RUU
tmobile uk htc one x
I done fastboot getvar version-main and it came up - 2.17.110.5 if that helps

what did you do before it bootloop?

If you've tried to install a custom rom, you have probably forgotten to flash the boot.img separately.
Otherwise. To flash the RUU, you need to RElock your bootloader "fastboot oem lock" and then run the .exe RUU file as administrator.

I was trying to get the phone back to unrooted and I clicked on something in the HTC All In One tool, then it just restarted and keeps doing that now

But you can unlock it again.

could you tell me how I unlock now if you could ? is it using fastboot?

when you have unlocked, download the recovery and type:

fastboot flash recovery path/to/recovery.img

no i got the fone with 4.0.3 as soon as i connected it to wifi i got sofware update then again i got software update this time phone caught in bootloop

yes i can vol- and power take me to fastboot i tried factory reset but no help
is there any way to flash stock rom

Go to bootloader and what's written there? Does it say "Endeavoru" or "Evita" just below the **Locked** line?

Now you have many choices... You can either flash the latest firmware and then install a custom rom or other wise run a RUU or even restore a nandroid backup if you want to go full stock... What do you want to do?
Is your bootloader unlocked? Do you have custom recovery installed?

I tried flashing many firmware with htc on x tool n xtracting rom.zip from various ruu.exe but none help
Please guide me

Download the latest HTC Sync Manager : http://www.htc.com/www/support/software/htc-sync-manager.aspx Install it.
Download this fastboot folder : http://d-h.st/8Jr and extract the fastboot folder on your PC.
Now go to fastboot mode on your phone and run the following commands via cmd in fastboot folder.
Code:
fastboot getvar version main
If we get your version main then we can find an appropriate RUU for your device so that you return to your 4.0.4 and then again try to update it!

its saying to charge the phone above 30 % then try the phone is on continuous boot loop how to charge

Yes.. You can flash any international one x firmware as you are s-off... However, keep in mind what u flash... Flashing a wrong firmware from another phone can brick ur device... Afaik.

Unroot before sending Phone to repair?

I have a wlan issue with my phone and HTC told me to send it into repair.
Do i need to unroot in before i sent it ?
The problem is I have bought it rooted and so i dont have any original backup :S.

Is it completely stock rom? Only root access has been given? Or is it modified?
If there's only root access, factory reset from Bootloader to remove the root and flash the stock recovery and then relock the Bootloader...

It came with android revolution HD
but now i have viper installed.

I think if you're on stock already, you can just unroot from the SuperSU app.

Then run this ruu from pc with admin privileges! Your phone needs to be in bootloader mode when running the ruu.

After locking the bootloader did you run the ruu with admin privileges? If the ruu isn't recognizing your device, it means that connection isn't being established so it's either a faulty driver or cable may be??
Are you able to run fastboot commands??

That's because you have locked the bootloader with a custom recovery on AFAIK,.. no need to worry about that.... it comes n goes ...

yes i can do fastboot commands but now it also shows me
Battery level to low.

[Q] my phone is ***LOCKED***

my bootloader is locked and i found a way to charge him.
when i try to flash something it says "not allowed" so i cant flash recovery.
i tried to use RUU butit didnt help (RUU with the same radio number as i have).
how to relock it or unlock it?
i try it for few hours but all i find is when the phone is already unlocked or relocked/

You need to flash the unlock code.bin file to unlock the bootloader.
Fastboot flash unlocktoken unlock_code.bin
Of you haven't got the file you need to make a new one via the htcdev site.
You cant flash anything with a locked bootloader

i have unlocked and than relocked and tried to use RUU and its just keep rebooting to the htc logo and off, and it is looping like that
its the correct RUU i think. i bought the phone in Hong Kong but im in europe now so i did europe RUU.

Hold power button and volume up till it brings you back to the menu and try to reboot. Or if you got there and it just says rebooting in yellow text , click it a few times.
