Good back cover that protects camera? - Galaxy S III Accessories

Hi I hate the way most cases feel in my hand, even my very thin TPU case makes my hand cramp up a bit when I'm using it where using the phone naked feels much more natural and comfortable. So my goal is to reduce the risk of damage without having an actual case. For example I just ordered the iloome glass protector to protect my screen but my other main area of concern is the rear camera lens can someone recommend a replacement back cover that keeps protects that a bit better. Sort of like the verizon induction cover does http://i.imgur.com/YqMVn.jpg but I'm not interested in the induction cover or spending $40 for it, hoping to find a back cover that has a similar fit to the induction cover but without the induction or high price tag. Thanks.

how about the rearth slimlite or the anymode case..

[Q] Case with decent grip?

I currently have a hard silicone back cover case on my phone but it becomes extremely slippery if I don't continuously wash it.
The back is completely smooth and I am terrified of dropping it.
I need to find a case that actually has a texture or some form of grip and keeping it under $20.
Otterbox Impact Case looks awesome, but I haven't found any good feedback on if its made from silicone that looses grip and goes slippery.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks.
Amzer jelly case. Lots of colors, terrific feel, padded corners, textured grip area, good lens protection, and so cheap on eBay you can get them for less than burgers. And if you're someone who swaps out batteries, or has a car or desk dock that wants a naked phone, they're easily removable.
Thank you for the reply.
I've had silicone cases that would lift up when ever you would slide to one side or the other.
How are the edges on the sides of the screen?
Also, anyone know how the otterbox impact cars are?
Sent from my HTC Evo via the XDA app.
The Amzer just barely wraps over the sides of front face of the screen, maybe 3/32". The bottom comes up about an eighth, and the top is cut out to clear the light sensor, speaker and front camera. I've not had issues at the edges, but I can't say if that's how I use it.
I don't think the Otterbox is in anyone's hands yet.

Alright, thanks for the info.
I am terrified of the sides being lose enough for anything to slide between them and my phone and cause my phone some damage.
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUT8179c2lc - at ~1:20 you an see the sides of this case being crazy loose)
I was hoping someone that had an otterbox impact on a similar phone would have a comment on if the cases texture or fit was an issue.
Thanks again.

The Amzer isn't as thin. I've not had the pull-away issues, but then, I won't carry a glass phone in a pants pocket, either. I usually carry mine in my shirt pocket.

Looks like they're going for about eight bucks on eBay, including shipping.
Hi again,
I added grip tape (left over from a skateboard deck) to my current case...lol.
It serves its purpose very well, but looks awful.
I have a chance to get the Platinum Case (Best Buy) for $10.
Anyone have any comments on this one?
Does it go slippery or feel like it could slip out of your hands?
EDIT: I just bought the case. I read some good reviews on it... guess I'll see once it arrives.

TPU Case Review for I9100

I just got this case from eBay for around $5 USD and I am so impressed with it I had to write a quick review. I think the name brand is Fusion.
-The fit of the case is just perfect. Very snug.
-The thickness is just enough to protect the camera lens and screen without adding much bulk.
-The sides of the case have a nice texture to make it very easy to grip.
-The TPU material doesn't attract lint and is very easy to slide in and out of your pocket.
-All of the holes match up fine.
-The buttons on the sides of the phone are covered but in my opinion this makes the pressure required just right so you don't accidentally press them.
The only negative at all is that the hole for the headphone jack may be too small for some plugs. The Samsung headphones and my Bose headphones fit just fine though. (Update: My Bose speakers I had to trim a little plastic off of the audio cable but it fits fine now.)
Here is the eBay link if anybody wants one. This guy shipped one to me in 2 days in the US.

If you're willing to wait a few days more, you can get them for 2,5$ in Dealextreme.
I have exactly the same one, purchased for £2.95 off ebay in the UK, and I would agree with all the points outlined above.
bought two of them from Dealextreme, but in black color, best TPU
Do they make them in matte black?
I ordered a similar one from eBay on the 14th, and it arrived today. Fits pretty well and leaves a bit of a bumper around the display, adding a bit of protection.

I believe I saw a matte black on Dealextreme. Most of the black ones I've seen are part matte, part glossy.

Hard to tell from the image, but isnt that simply a hole in the case where they camera lense is, so offers no protection for the lens at all??
Its an impossible task trying to find a case that offers protection for the camera.. they are so hi spec and good quality these days, the last thing you want is muck or scratches on the optics.. surely a case designer can be innovative enough to design some sort of sliding cover....
I purchased the Black one as well. However, the glossy part scratches too easily. Handle with care.
Well i've both the TPU case (but it's all black) and the Samsung case:
http://www.happybirthdaytoyou.com/bmcdigital/SS-I9100-VENT-BLK-1.jpg
I've tryed both, and i really prefer the samsung one, the tpu case attracts way too much dust, while the samsung case it's a lot easier to clean. The dust on the tpu case pile up on the sides, and from there it's a hell to remove it.

It's true, that was my experience with this TPU case as well. Dust would pile up on the edges of the screen and under the TPU lining. I'd have to constantly take off the TPU case and wipe the screen to keep my SGS2 nice and pretty. With the official Samsung vent case i can simply wipe the screen clean in one go without taking off the case. Sure, the official case offers less protection, but it also preserves the form and weight of the phone quite well, whereas the TPU case adds significant weight and thickness to the phone in comparison.
I just got a few of these delivered from buyaccess. Delivered in a week and they fit like a glove. Nice ridge around the screen so it won't scratch if you put it face down and extra grip on the sides.
€2 each and free shipping you cannot go wrong. Link to the sellar if anybody wants it.

Is there a case like this for the Note 10.1?

I've got one of these STM Grip cases for my iPad and it's by far the best case I've owned for a tablet. It's super slim, gives really good protection (iPad dropped without damage), has a rear kick stand and is clip-in style so obscures nothing of the glass. I've now also bought a Note 10.1 and have searched and searched everywhere to find a similar style of case for the Note but can't find anything. The most important factors for me are a clip-in style and a rear kickstand.
I can't stand the rotating (or non-rotating) type with front kickstands because they always fall over when set a low angle, and I've owned a few of them, some expensive. The STM Grip isn't cheap but does everything well whilst adding very little bulk.
I've bought one of these cases from Amazon and which does half the job because it has a superb and very stable adjustable rear kickstand but is a slip-in style so the leather case edges obscure a chunk of the front glass.
Any help finding an STM Grip-style case for the Note is very much appreciated :good:
I'd like to see one of these too, I'm using the "Roocase" that is similar to the second image and it makes interacting with the corners of the screen awkward if not using the stylus...

Thats exactly my issue. It's not ideal at all. I'm pretty sure that (amazingly) there isn't such a case for the Note so I'm going to make a hybrid by taking a clip-in hard plastic tray from one case, removing the leather sleeve (but keep the back board) from the kickstand case then bonding the tray to the back board of kickstand case. Won't quite be the STM Grip but it should give me a good solid rear kickstand and full access to the screen.
Will post up some pics if I manage to get it done.........

Best Case/Cover/Shell

Just want to know from you guys experience.
Who makes the best cases/covers/shells for samsung?
And if any of you are using cases/shells/covers, which are you using? Would you recomend?
What are your experiences?
I'm not really a fan of the flipcases
Thanks
If you are on a high budget, you could look at the Impact-absorbing Tech21 cases.
Those are of high build quality.
I recently got a casemate tough case for my sgs4 mini and I am very pleased with it, both handling-wise and in terms of general ruggedness.
Did anyone get a screen protector? I loved the exim ultraprotect on my old nokia, but the s4 mini is my first phone with a capacitive touch screen and I am unsure if a screen protector will hurt its responsiveness.
I got a screen protector applied the moment I unpackaged my phone at the shop. They applied a Screenguard branded clear (non-matte) screen protector and responsiveness hasn't been an issue in the 4 weeks I've had the phone.
This screen protector ($4) is a fingerprint magnet though, but it has perfect cut-outs for the light, proximity sensors and front - facing camera as well as the home button.
Case
I just bought a Belkin case named "Grip Sheer Matte" in a blackish-brownish transparent tone for the black S4m (ha! SAM!).
It was 12€ in an electronics store here in .de but you can probably get it cheaper online (see link).
I like the soft and smooth feel. The case fits quite good and protects the back and all edges. The ports and buttons are accessible and the holes on the back for camera and speaker are in the right places.
Cheers,
CS
I bought the original Samsung Flip Cover with view... I think its the best but it was not cheap.
Just got a Samsung Flip Cover without view (which replaces the back cover). After using a ROCK flip case, a MERCURY Fancy Diary flip case and a simple metallic-red non-flip case, the Samsung Flip Cover seems to do its job best. The cover is heavy enough to hold itself down when the phone is facing up, and folds behind nicely such that it is comfortable to hold.
What's the point of having such a small metal bumper? In case of a drop it won't absorb any energy ...
Its probably to protect the original metal rim against scratches and bumps. Good for maintaining the resale value! (The screen protector will protect the front, and the back cover is replaceable)
damn.. i want those pretty and sturdy cases from otterbox, uag, spigen etc
Does the S-View cover also protect the edges?
After almost 2 months I notice that I already have a couple of bumps right on the edge of the screen. I don't want to buy a thick shell since I bought the Mini exactly because of the sleaziness and the S-view looks quite nice..

No. The S-View cover replaces your back cover of the phone. Thus it only protects the back. The sides are exposed except for the left side of the phone where the cover flips over the phone.

For me the ideal would be a bumper, so that the edges are protected and I'm not carrying around a brick. I'll keep on duckduckgoing and see what I can find..
I've been looking for a decent rubber bumper as well. I've only seen a metal one with a weird branding on the side. Do post here if you manage to find one!

I found this one here, http://www.mobilefun.com/40209-flexiframe-samsung-galaxy-s4-mini-bumper-case---black-clear.htm but I might actually get an official samsung case, it looks quite nice: http://www.samsung.com/se/consumer/mobil/mobil/mobiltillbehor/EF-PI919BNEGWW-gallery?subsubtype=bags

Will a rubber bumper protect against a drop (say, from table height)? Will the S-view cover protect against a drop?
I wouldn't be bothered by scratch or bumps on the plastic housing. Mainly looking for protection against the screen/digitizer/glass breaking from a fall.
I bought this one.
Fits tightly around the S4 mini and does not add any bulk. The phone still looks very slim and small. Material is of good scratch resistance but probably not a real bumper. It's slightly transparent, so the Samsung logo and the silver pattern of the back cover shines through a bit. Really looks good.

I just received the same case and it is better than expected. Took less than a week from Germany to UK and less than 10 GBP Inc postage.
This case is so small and thin that it doesn't alter the feel of the phone apart from the texture. It'sthin enough to fit in my S2 desktop charger/dock and also my windscreen mount with the case on.
I ordered the following in blue/black. It looks somewhat...different! I hope it's not too much when I put it on the phone. It came to six euros which is reasonable. I'll post my impressions when it arrives.

Question How to protect Fold z4?

Hello!
I need to protect my Fold z4 as it doesn't come cheap!
I will need to use antibacterial wet wipes on it and I don't want to cause any damage.
Can you recommend the safest way to protect it? E.g. particular cases, screen protectors, other?
Also to say, I will be using wireless charging almost constantly.
Thanks!
I went though a couple of cases -- this one is by far the best and works with wireless charging.
This case:
https://www.amazon.com/SUPCASE-Unicorn-Full-Body-Protector-Kickstand/dp/B0B7MC26MS?tag=xdaforum01-20
Sadly it's not cheap -- but considering the quality of it and the cost of the phone I think it's well worth the money.
I have this one, it may be not the best for protection, as it is thin, but it looks great:
https://www.amazon.es/memumi-Carbono-Resistente-Duradero-Protecci%C3%B3n/dp/B0BG2723M4/
I've also in mind the oficial samsung leather cover, but it is a bit expensive and I want to have a look at it first.
using a cheap clear case which protects the body and the screen (allows wireless charging). when out walking the dogs/gym/chucking it in the bag, i put it in a motorola neoprene pda case which fits snugly. has a built-in garter ring inside for the stylus.
too over protection will make you hard to enjoy this fancy phone. I only use nilkin leather cover with rubber protection along side of the Phone and itu has magnetic lock for the front screen which will prevent serious damage if it drop and front screen jelly screen protection. Thats it and im ready to go and protected
as you said this phone doesnt come cheap then it will be useless if it cannot be enjoy if too over protected
