You can finally use Viper 1.3.0, MIUIv4, IC Tazz and pretty much all ICS leaks that have been released with SPEED and a decent governor.
SO gettem while they're hot! or hit the sources and why don't you make you own all turbo'd out kernel for us huh?
We did it team, we kicked Verizon's ass

Yes. The kernels are built from the stock 3.0.16 Chinese kernel. But we have been tweaking them...and will continue to do so until we get sick of it.

Is there a 2.2 Kernel with Awesome Battery life?
Thanks
we have no source code, hence no modified kernels.. sorry, sucks, I know
Viper rom is under volted which seems to improve battery life.

Genocide 1.2Ghz is based on EB13
Rodderik, one of the Team Viper members, has already released Genocide 1.2GhzOC Kernel based on EB13:

The kernel has been updated 3x and is currently at .3a. It is backwardly compatible with DK28 and can be flash over it using Clockwork.

Add interactive, smartassv2, lagfree governor
Implementation of 2-Phase OnDemand
P930 Gingerbread Kernel V1 (Work on Nitro HD and Bell Optimus LTE)

Your original nitro rom is maybe not rooted...
And no kernel does not change one thing about root.

init.d support
Any chance of adding init.d support? I have a set of sick tweaks that really promotes battery life and performance.
However, I can only install part of it (manually).

init.d support is already in my rom, this is why i don't see important to make it native in the first version.
In next release it will be native.
Thank you very much

Which ROM? I installed Kernelpan1c Nitro HD ROM and my wife is liking it very much (it's her phone). But she wants me to hook it up with my init.d scripts as she knows how much battery life and performance is improved. However, when I tried to add the init.d forlder manually, the phone soft bricked. I guess I should post this in the ROMs thread, but I am using this kernel, and as far as I knew, in order for init.d scripts to work, your kernel has to be compatable.
I love this kernel but I love to use cm9.
I know the developer here wants to wait cm9 to rc stage in order to make the kernel for cm9, I would like to ask if you can change your mind cos cm9 original kernel is so lagging. Pls help!

no, im used this at froyo 2.2.2 v10a ... once i have a CM, some old version, i dont like it .. i kno, im the only one ... i wait for a NIghtly with this .35 kernel
- back the topic: OC 806MHz stable, antutu benchmark passed etc - i will test higher later
- wifi works perfectly, and i supose wifi responds a little quicker then on oryginal kernel
- rest i see is working with no bugs
- OC with antutu CPU Master
- battery life with no bigger drain
thx ron
Ok ron good work, the phone is a little better but on games it lags is the kernel or the rom stock v10e?
This is a bit off-topic but kinda relevant. Here's the deal, somewhere I read that V10I is not rootable, so just to confirm, up to which version of stock rom is rootable? V10G? Wanna go back to stock rom, root, load kernel (making it relevant)...
So I just went ahead and played safe... Flashed V10G, rooted it and installed the kernel... All I can say is thanks! Blazing fast even the first day it wasn't overclocked... Dont run benchmark tests, I dont trust them, but compare experiences, and by far this is the best!
I'm testing this kernel with Froyo 2.2.2. Do you planning to release kernel v3? Battery life is still bad.
Thanks.

Same to me but battery is drying at night while I sleep.
12% was consumed in 8 hours of sleeping.
Maybe Dev of kernel can add more Governors, like ondemandX, interactiveX.
Edit : I changed governor to conservative and now it's a bit better.

[Q] Custom Kernel for the Stock 4.2.2 Rom

ak kernal, fraco is also a great option, but i personally prefer ak.
leanKernel
Just flashed stock 4.2.2 and flahsed franco r365. Seems that the battery is better than before. I will report in the next days.

All kernels aim to give better battery life while not sacrificing too much performance.
Kernels need a little while to settle down so try one out and give it a day before passing judgment and if it doesn't give desired results for your rom and device then try another.
AK Kernel 4.2.2

I've had a ton of success with AK kernels. Morfic and LeanKernel too, but lately the AK ones seem the best for me. I run a custom ROM tho, and I've seen that a lot of folks really like Morfic on stock 4.2.2.
If you're on VZW or Sprint, you may have to flash the GPU binaries to be able to install a true 4.2.2 kernel, otherwise you're phone wont boot and you'll have to reflash a 4.2.1 kernel to get back up and running.
I know Tiny (he's got a great kernel too) posted this flashable binary, in case this helps. Here's the post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38034158&postcount=22
