Thanks, Hashcode, for CM10 on the Kindle Fire HD 8.9! - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

I am referencing: Unofficial CyanogenMod 10.1 for the Kindle Fire HD 8.9
Though I am a noob of quality and pedigree (I can "search" and "read"... bizarre concepts, but I do this often), I am still a noob, and don't yet have the ability to publish these thanks in the development thread.
Because of these forums and the tools provided by Bin4ry and Hashcode, I was able to root, install a second bootloader, and get CM10 running on my Kindle Fire HD 8.9 in the course of an hour. Now my tablet is acting more like a real Android tablet.
Thanks.

[Q] Port over Kindle FreeTime

Is it possible to port over Kindle FreeTime from the 2nd gen KF to say one of 2nd gen KF roms like [ROM/KERNEL] UNOFFICIAL CM10.1 + 3.0.50 Kernel for Kindle Fire 2 [01/15 1st release]?

[Q] Just rooted my Kindle Fire, questions about the ROMs

I am completely new to rooting and flashing custom ROMs, but I wanted to get more out of my 1st gen Kindle Fire. After studying the excellent guide done by kinfauns, I have rooted and flashed the CM10.1 RC2. Then I wondered what is the difference from the ROM I downloaded on CM's website vs the ones on this list http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1859851. A lot of them are still CM10.1. So what exactly is the difference between the CM10.1 on this list and the release candidates and nightly's on CyanogenMod?

Possibly fixed Gapps on Kindle Fire 4.3 r_2.1 rom from Hashcode
JJsevol said:
I never fully solved it and only thing that worked was disable Google services. Some apps require it so it's not a good solution.

Hi All,
I cannot post in the regular forum because I am new.
I flashed the 4.3 rom and gapps to my Kindle Fire per the instructions in the post. I had a problem with gapps continually crashing. I tried reflashing from post #4 that had the r2 version of the 4.3 rom. The link on this post lead me to a page with numerous choices for gapps. The one I downloaded made it worse. I could not get passed the setup wizard because the setup wizard kept crashing. Could not even get to the home screen. I re-flashed the 4.3 r_2 one more time without flashing the gapps and the Kindle Fire booted fine. But without Google Play, the thing is kind of useless because I could not download any apps.
I took a chance and searched Google for ASOP 4.3 gapps. I found this site, but I cannot post links. Hopefully you can find it. www*androidayos*com/2013/10/30/gapps-4-3-1-download/ I flashed this set of gapps and have not had a problem since yesterday. All the gapps have updated to the latest and greatest and I have not had a single crash from them. I new so I'm not sure if this was the fix, but it might be worth a try for someone that has continually crashing gapps on their Kindle Fire with Hashcodes 4.3 rom. I hope this will help someone, it seemed to work for me. Good luck, I like this rom allot better then CM rom I was running that was laggy.

[Q] Is there a Honecomb ROM for the OTTER?

So basically I'm looking for a Honeycomb ROM or even a Look-Alike for the Amazon Kindle Fire otter (1st gen) and that works with TWRP and FFF 1.4a BL. I know Android never gave the source code of Honeycomb out until ICS or JB, but is it possible to have a port now that the code is available?
Also I currently use CM11, is there even a complete CM11 theme of Honeycomb?
