[MOD] [Stock/CROMi-X] Superuser in Settings Mod v1.1 - Transformer TF300T Android Development

This mod allows you to add/remove the superuser app shortcut to your device settings screen. The superuser shortcut will be added under the system category.
Requires:
* TWRP
* Installed Superuser app by Chainfire or CLOCKWORKMOD
Features:
* allows you to select which superuser app you have installed
* Currently, supports SuperSU (by Chainfire) and Superuser (by CLOCKWORKMOD)
* backups the original files and allows you to restore the unmodified files whenever you want.
* will never cause boot loops. :good:
NOTES:
* This mod will NOT root your device and it will never install any of the supported superuser app. If you need root for your Android 4.2, please use Motochopper.
--- CROMi-X comes pre-installed with SuperSU by chainfire
--- If you want Superuser by CLOCKWORKMOD, you may download it for free from Google Play Store.
* This mod has only been tested in CROMi-X 4.5 and stock ASUS firmware TF300T-US_10_6_1_15_3. It might work on other TF300T stock-based ROM.
* This will not work on TF300TG or TL.
* There is no need to wipe cache and dalvik cache after flashing this mod.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Download and copy the zip file to your internal sdcard or external MicroSD card.
2. Reboot tablet to recovery
3. Use TWRP to install the downloaded zip file.
4. Read and follow the onscreen instructions from the installer, and choose the options that applies to you.
5. After installation completes, reboot system.
6. Enjoy staring at your boot animation.
7. Open Settings and look under "System" category for the superuser shortcut.
Known Issues:
* Although I have not encounter it, Aroma installer running in some versions of TWRP can sometimes freeze or crash.
* If this mod fails to flash correctly (or if this mod is not compatible with your ROM), the Settings will not show up. Just try flashing again and select restore last known good configuration.
* If you don't have the selected superuser app installed, tapping the Superuser shortcut in the Settings window will cause an "unfortunately, app has stopped." You have to install the appropriate Superuser app.
* Developer options will be hidden again. To "unhide" the Developer options, tap on "About Tablet" and then tap on "Build Number" many times.

It seems logical where it is, in the System area of the settings is where I'd expect them. It doesn't need to be moved and the icon seems logical as well.
CM 10.1 on my phone does it in there too, albeit lower. (I made screenshots with developers options enabled and disabled, so you can see where I got the wish for it from.)

Does it work on JB 4.1.1 ?
I use CROMI 3.4.6.

I haven't tested this with JB 4.1.1, but, if you will attach/upload your "/system/app/Settings.apk" file here, I can compare them and see if we need to make a separate patch to make it work in JB 4.1.1 settings.

Change your server for DL. Thanks.

I have developed this Mod to enable "On Screen Nav Soft Keys" for any GS3 (INT, D2ATT, D2TMO, D2VZW and D2SPR),

Please don´t forget, when you use this mod that it can (should not but can) change how your system works so before you report rom related bugs in the rom developer thread, you should use the remove package to make sure the issue is not caused by the mod!

Was there an error while flashing or is there just no navbar? Maybe the BAKED rom is without navbar in it´s framework for this ask the rom developer.

Thought I'd get back to you on this... Feel like an idiot, but there was a setting I missed... The ROM does have the navbar option, so I flashed the home wake only to disable the hardware keys and it works like a champ. The menu and back button were driving me crazy, and this mod is awesome. Thanks!

I'm also on slim and the navbar can indeed be turned on from the settings (Interface sub-menu) I manually edited the keymap and commented out the home and back button (/system/usr/keylayout/sec_keys.kl and /system/usr/keylayout/Generic.kl) but there might be an easier way which I wasn't aware of at the time
Finally, in the settings menu you'll find a setting to turn off/on backlight on touchkeys. (Device Options -> Screen)
The result is pure awesomeness, wish I started using the navbar sooner.

[MOD][AROMA] Universal ROM File Customizer

This is a ROM FILE/MEDIA FILE CUSTOMIZER
This has been tested working with the Jan 08 build of AOKP and Latest EuroSkank CM10.1 Builds I used fireb33 stock build for the basis of the stock zip
THIS MOD WILL WORK FOR ANY DEVICE
as it is ROM dependent not DEVICE dependent
AROMA ROM FILE CUSTOMIZER V5(AOKP & CM10.1 & Stock)
V5 - fixed when you skip the rom debloat error and fixed MusicFX app deletion
This mod will allow you to
-remove ANY or ALL commonly removed system apps from your rom
-remove ANY or ALL Alarms, Ringtones sounds, and Notification Sounds!
-remove all live wallpapers (Located in the System app removal section)
-insert whatever sound media file you wish to be inserted into the relevant locations of the rom (Notifications, Alarms or Ringtones)
-Add your own bootanimation zip into the rom by deleting the old bootanimation.zip and inserting your custom bootanimation.zip
-Remove unused Text to Speech languages that you dont require
-Remove the sample videos
-Add system apps and fix their permissions
-Ability to add user apps and fix their permissions
HOW TO USE THE ROM CUSTOMIZER
If you want to add a particular media file (Notification, Ringtone, Alarm Sound) or Bootanimation to your ROM
- Open ROM CUSTOMIZER in winzip/winrar
- Place your particular sound media file (mp3,ogg, etc) into the relevant folder in the zip
- Place your particular bootanimation zip into the bootanimation folder
- Place your particular system or data app into the relevant folder
-Close the ROM CUSTOMIZER zip
-Transfer ROM CUSTOMIZER zip to your phone and reboot to recovery
Now to the Customizing part
- While in your recovery flash the file, aroma installer will begin
- Follow the aroma installer and choose the relevant boxes
- REBOOT & WIN
This mod does NOT require you to have a clean install of your ROM before using this mod IF your only inserting/deleting MEDIA or BOOTANIMATION.
However IF your are wanting to DELETE SYSTEM APPS it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that this mod is flashed after a full wipe otherwise you MOST LIKELY will get a BOOTLOOP or multiple FORCE CLOSES
For the future builds!
Fix the Blue tint in aroma
Add some more functions!
let me know how this mod goes for your
and swing me a thanks if this helps you out
ENJOY! =]

And Are you intested to make same stuff on 2.0.0i ?

but it works on x9077-x9076?
Great news! I look forward to the opportunity to download.
Is it possible there is another Launcher, for example Trebuchet? Amazing would be too Jelly Bean Dialer, in my opinion, the best dialer of all.

thx trick is to use original launcher and add contact shortcut on home screen. plus I really like that camera widget, not doable on nova.

[ROM][5.0.1][20G][10/5] SR Lollipop G3 v6 | Stable | Odex | Zipaligned | Fast | Final

Welcome! If you found yourself looking for something like CleanROM based on the new 5.0.1 20G OTA, then you have come to the right place. This has been thoroughly tested by myself with no issues. Want stability you can trust? You have come to the right place. For best results, please follow the installation instructions below!
About:
Stock Look & Feel
Deodexed
Stable
Fast & Smooth
Based on the new 20G KDZ from TMO
Features:
Deodexed
Rooted (SuperSU)
Init.d enabled
Busybox
Bloat Removed
Updated LG and Google apps in /System
External SD Card fix
Build.prop tweaks for performance
Init.d scripts to trim file system, SD card read ahead, and FPS
Insecure Boot.img
Screenshots!
What works:
Everything
What doesn't:
Nothing!
Credits:
@Chainfire for SuperSU
@MicroMod777 for stock debloated system.img and boot.img (Initial release. Version 2+ is the extracted LG KDZ)
@razz1 for increase FPS
@Morningstar for his Network Traffic Guide.
Installation:
Must have recovery installed (TWRP)
Do not wipe yet as the bootloader and modem flashable below looks for the phone build prop to verify variant
Install the 20G bootloader and modem if you haven't already (If you do not use this bootloader or have not done the full KDZ install of 20B/E/G, you will get a security error and the rom will not boot.)
Copy ROM to external SDcard
Reboot to Recovery
Wipe Data/Factory reset (I always do 3x for good measure)
Wipe Cache (Again, I always do 3x for good measure)
Wipe Dalvik Cache
DO NOT WIPE INTERNAL
Flash ROM
Reboot System
Profit!
A couple things to note:
If you use a different kernel, do not report issues until you verify issue with stock (included kernel).
I am not responsible if you brick your phone, but of course you would know that if you are flashing this.
Of course your warranty is already voided from rooting your phone.
If you would like to use this as a base, please include me in your credits and link to this thread.
I am in general a very busy person, so I like to rely on you and other XDA members to help eachother. That is what this is all about right? I will continue to update this as I feel necessary. With my flashing habit, that may be alot. Search before asking questions.
I built this ROM for my personal use and decided to share because of how well it works.
I am not a themer, so don't expect any fancy themes! If you would like to create a theme and share, please let me know and I will add it to the OP. This goes for any other MOD. I am happy to add things to the builds if they work well and you want to contribute.

You can get them from the stock rom. system/media/audio folder is what you would want to pull. You will also need to put the names of the ringtones/notification/alarms that you would like to use by default in the build.prop. You can find the correct spot by searching for the following lines:
Code:
ro.config.ringtone=CurveBall.ogg
ro.config.notification_sound=CyanMessage.ogg
ro.config.alarm_alert=CyanAlarm.ogg
Again, I make this rom for my personal use and cannot stand the stock music like ringtones, so that is why I made the switch. Just personal preference. If I ever get some free time, I will put together a flashable zip, but I have been in a hurry trying to get this out to share.
ok, so if I understand, I am sitting with 10m and running zonerom so I can flash this rom and it takes me to 10r? I don't do OTAs out of habit....
You are correct. I recommend clean flash coming from another custom ROM.

I'm in the process of downloading again for the 4th time because md5 wouldn't match the op.
It does however match the one located on AndroidFileHost
Just want to point out the link in OP points to the default D85110R.zip. I was able to look through your other files to find the SR_V1.zip.

You can always restore to previous state with your backup!
Also, "removed" apps can be found at the /system/_debloat_backup/ folder.
I tried it n nougat and it does not seem to work.
I changed the debloat script so less apps are getting moved but the result it is that some apps such as Facebook are not moved at all and some others seem to be moved if you look in the backup folder but those apps can still be launched and they seem to work fine.
What can be going on?

It did work! These crapywares are installed during first boot as regular apps, that's why they keep installed and running even after the debloat script.
To get rid of em all, try to uninstall them, or better yet, enter /data/app/ and delete their respective folders, then reboot.

yup easy enough to get it back. i couldn't narrow down which app/combination of apps kills the phone call out. surprisingly calls in, sms, mms, 3g/4g internet all still works though.
I noticed the Dual Sim setting gets greyed out after running the debloat. so it must have something to do with that.

Especially, that device-monitor apk more battery drain.

devicemonitor - is related to the debugging and usage stats service, which collects anonymous data and sends them to sony to improve the updates... Useless imo!!
crashmonitor - maybe same kind of crap (to be confirmed).
Can I install these with the sony stock patch from adrian?
