[Q] No 3rd person view on navigation? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

Was the 3rd person view removed from google navigation after the update?
I hate the over view look. Anybody else experience this?

Enable finger scrolling in other apps?

I've tried searching and I'm fail.
Is there any way to extend the finger scrolling to other applications? I want to turn it on for some 3rd party applications that don't have it.
Is there any way to do this, or any other 3rd party apps (free, preferably ) that would work? I know this might sort of belong in the sw, but if there's a way to edit it within TouchFlo, or in the registry...

[Q] How do you hide the Quick Contact icon overlay

Hi all,
I have a lot of quick contacts and after upgrading to froyo, they now have a speech bubble overlay on the icon that I'd like to disable/hide. What's the easiest way to go about hiding it?
Thanks
Also, anyone know if they plan to have quick contact photos change when Facebook profile pictures are updated?

making the phone dial by moving it up to ear with other apps

I was wondering if anyone changed their SMS/text messaging app. I know that with the preloaded samsung text messaging app when I'm in the convo I can bring it up to my ear and it starts dialing. I honestly love this feature as I can tired of texting a lot and then I just called the person up if the texting gets too long. However, I'd like to use an alternative SMS app because the default one to me is extremely ugly. I hate looking at it a lot. So I was hoping to use something like chomp or panzi or something with a better looking theme and better support for emoji with my friends are relentless and not giving it up. So Does anyone have any ideas on keeping this feature? Any sms apps that work with this? I know it's a throw in the dark but what the heck. Thought I'd ask anyway.

The motion features, like the one your talking about are cool, but alas they seem to only work within the stock applications. I personally use GoSMS and I can not lift the handset to my ear and it call the contact unless I use the default messaging app (I switched mainly because of the way it slideshows any MMS - very stupid)
Another feature is the double tap the top of the phone to go back to the top of the page, but I use enhanced email (not the default email apps) and that feature doesnt work either.
If anyone finds a way to merge the motion features with 3rd party sms apps, I'd be interested.

Shucks, I feel the same way. The motion features are great but these default apps stink! lol. I prefer the alternatives way more. sigh.

Any way to have the Google Keep widget be interactive?

The Google Keep widget is great, but is there a way to, say, check off lists or edit memos right in the widget without first opening the app? Perhaps a 3rd party app?
TIA!

Can you confirm please ?
Because some people say the navigation gestures does not work well when you use another launcher (especially the gesture to the homepage).

Here some information about visual voice mail : https://www.talkandroid.com/256381-android-m-will-have-native-visual-voicemail-support/
Can you look into it and tell me if the mate 20 has visual voice mail ?
Gestures don't work good but I don't use them so for me Nova launcher works.

Echoing from https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-20/how-to/bad-news-mate-20-allowed-to-party-t3863933 :
The chinese variant of the mate 20 disallows use of 3rd party launchers because retail stores in china have been installing their own dodgy launchers on their phones. In order to use any 3rd party launchers in a chinese variant mate 20, install your launcher of choice then follow this guide:

Well, thanks for the reply.
I try nova yesterday on the mate 20 in the store.
Everything works well besides the gesture navigation. Thé gesture to the home page does not work.
I could not try the phone app and try the visual voice mail.
Can someone look into it ?
Thanks.
well i said 3rd party launchers worked partially .. but i discovered it wasnt the default launcher .. after choosing them as default launcher they seem to work with no problems

I don't use voice mail so I don't know. Regarding 3rd party launcher like Nova launcher, there was a problem as you said in the past, but now after the latest update (184), it fixed right now, the stock gesture navigation is working well with Nova launcher, swipe for home and swipe+hold for recent app list as good as it is. I cannot complain any things right now, so happy.:fingers-crossed:
