[Q] Clockworkmod 4.0.1.4

It looks like the htc aria clockworkmod 4.0.1.4 works on the mytouch slide except for it cant install any .zip files such as cm7 nightlies. Could someone try to get this to work? The only stable clockworkmod we have is clockworkmod 2.5.0.1
here is the link to the 4.0.1.4 clockworkmod for aria http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14693680&postcount=1
extra info: aria nightlies work, but of course espresso nightlies is what we need installing

[SOLVED] 2 questions about switching to Desire Z HBOOT

1) Does flashing the DZ engineering HBOOT (needed for Virtuous ROMs etc.) remove the carrier / subsidy / SIM unlock on the phone? I bought my phone unlocked and don't want to have to unlock it again.
2) I read a thread somewhere about issues with Clockworkmod recovery versions and DZ HBOOT. In particular, if I make a nandroid backup with CWM 5.0.2.0 and then flash the HBOOT which would probably include CWM 3.0.2.4, will my nandroid restore fail? Does the version of CWM matter? What would I do if it did fail?
I want to try out some latest sense ROMs, but I'm scared of this HBOOT lark
As I understand,
Point 1
Flashing the engHboot will not give you carrier unlock, you need to use gfree for that(just reread you post, it will not relock a carrier)

Point 2
Before changing Hboot If I were you I would downgrade Clockworkmod recovery to 3.0.2.4 make a backup then flash the hboot as per the method over at virtuous ROM dont think backups are backwards compatible,After flashing the engHboot i would strongly recommend changing your recovery to 4ext

Its based on clockwork recovery but is far superior IMHO
So I went ahead and flashed the DZ HBOOT this morning. I first downgraded to CWM 3.0.2.4 as you suggested before making my nandroid backup. I followed the instructions on the Virtuous ROM website and everything went smoothly. Only thing that didn't happen as expected was that I didn't end up at the HTC boot screen - I had to manually reboot out of the bootloader by pressing the power button before I got to that screen. No problems getting into recovery after that, and no problems with the nandroid restore.
Now I can get myself into some more trouble flashing a Sense 3 ROM
did you have any problems with calling people on the sense rom? i installed the sensewich rom and i cant make calls. i cant hear people on the other line but they can hear me. i tried updating the radio and changed back to stock g2 rom but still nothing works.

Recovery

What other recoverys are there for the Dinc
best Dincredible
There is the amon_ra recovery, but I can't speak to its quality as I only use clockworkmod recovery

Plus almost all developers roms are made for clockwork mod. I think you can use among_RA but they recommend cwm. And I can't say anything too because I only use cwm

[Q] [HOX] Upgrading from ARHD 6.1.0 to newest

Hi all,
one of my friends has a One X. Actually hes running ARHD 6.1.0 but now he gets some force closes of barely any app. I suggested him to update to a newer version, unfortunately he doesn´t know how and i never modded a htc phone so i dont know how to proceed - i did it on samsung phones/tablets so i know the basics.
OK now to my question. As far as i understood this Rom is not using CWM recovery am i right? Since the phone is already rooted how do i have to proceed to updating/flashing an updated version of ARHD?
I can´t find any tutorial on their site
Download rom
Put in sd card in phone
Flash rom in recovery full wipe
As one x doesn't have s off need to boot into fastboot and flash boot.img from rom
Ensure you clear cache in fastboot
That's the basics there are plenty of more thorough guides though
