Please help! Rogers i317m Unknown IMEI and Baseband and can't access internal storage - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

I really need some help! I totally screw my note 2 up. I flashed the rooted stock rom onto my note 2 using odin and I made the mistake of checking Nand erase all and now I have unknown IMEI and Base band and can't seem to access internal storage at all.
I made a backup with twrp first I thought but when I restore it there is no change. I've been searching and reading for 3 days now and I can't fix it! I am at a total loss on what to do.
Any help would be totally appreciated

If you can see the EFS file via PC on your SD card. ..There is hope to push those files to the device using terminal command line. ..
If a scan of the files does not reveal the EFS files. ..
Well. ..it's a loss. .
Here's to hoping the files are really there somewhere. ...g
Edit: The link may help. ..and as referenced in the link. ..
We want nv_data.bin...
It contains the EFS AND IMEI information. ..g

Thanks for helping!
There is an efs.ext4.win and efs.ext4.win.md5 in my backup on my SD that twrp created but I don't know what to do with them. I did the restore through TWRP already to no success.
And I am trying the NV reader/writer but I can't get it to talk to my phone

Also, I tried to go through to procedures in the first link but when I go into the EFS folder there are no nv_data files whatsoever!

Contact the developer of the tool kit also. ..
And as I read the thread. ..it mentioned the no connection and had a work around. .
Scan every post. ..the answer is there I'm sure. .
Keep at it. ...If you have EFS files. ..you have nv_data.bin...and a way back...
You just need connection. ...check "all" drivers for the device on the PC...and you will find the trick...
Never give up. ..g

[TOOL] EFS Pro - Advanced '/efs' Backup, Restore, Repair!

I created a tool a while back for Galaxy S II owners to backup and restore the '/efs' partition and perform basic NV Repair on their devices.
This proved so popular that I recently updated the application which now includes a feature to automatically detect the mount point of the '/efs' partition. This allows any supported device to be used with EFS Pro and also adds support for future devices.

I actually spot your program a few days back in the GSII forum, the EFS file seems small, should not be a problem right?

Guys,
for those of you having issues with the app, just do it yourself. It's not like it's complicated:
su
dd if=/dev/block/platform/omap/omap_hsmmc.0/by-name/efs of=/sdcard/efs.img
Done. The file will be called efs.img in /sdcard.

EFS Pro has now been updated to v1.8.3.
Nexus S / Galaxy Nexus support has now been fixed hopefully.
Differences in the 'efs' location, name and partition layout was causing issues.
Please test this new version and post your feedback please as I dont have a physical device to test on.

There's another app I know of that claims to be able to back up and restore efs on the gnex and some other galaxy devices. It's called kTool and you can read about it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1314719
or search for it on Playstore.
It seems to back it up OK, but I hesitate to do a test restore, since a problem there could permabrick the phone. Has anyone actually personally verified that kTool restores the efs partition reliably?

Hi, efrant. I assume the efs partition or IMEI is checksummed somewhere in such a way that you couldn't simply dump the efs, alter the IMEI with a hex editor, and write it back?

That's an excellent question. It is and it isn't. Have a read of this thread. (I honestly haven't really looked into, but I guess I could if there is a need for it. And I don't really want to get myself or XDA in trouble by talking about cloned IMEIs. )
Yup. Ditto.
thanks for your efforts putting this together OP.

Hi
I having a huge problem, i restored efs img through efs pro (latest version) and it mounted and pushed files ok, but before it finished it wrot efs backup is corrupted (or similar) do not use this backup.. and then rebooted phone - and since there have been NO way to mount/delete/format the efs dir on sd, cant root, install rom from cwm or anything because its totally locked it seems, installed twrp 2.3.3.0 and its working, but im not able to mount efs dir from here either , i tried format all data/cache/system/sd but still unable to mount efs it says????
and says there is no sim card even there is.
Only thing i can is flash stock rom from sammy but not latest v 4.1.1 only v 4.0.4 then it boots to os but tells me its in factory mode (no wi-fi bla)
if i flash 4.1.1 its gets stuck on galaxy boot logo - tried flashing syiah 1.86 through odin but just hangs on siyah logo!!!
What do i do ? is the phone softbricked or what PLZ help out - big thanx in advance

[Q] [HELP] No imei, no baseband after flashed stock rom!

- This is the second time i lost my imei on N7105T (Vodafone Australia)
- The first time i flashed N7100 kernel for N7105T without backup efs. So, the phone showed no imei and no baseband. I decided to flash back the Vodafone AU stock rom version 4.1.1 . Finally, imei and baseband were back. So, i was so lucky. I backup efs to make sure it will not happen again.
The second time i flashed Singapore stock rom version 4.1.2 . Then, i got same trouble again means no imei and no baseband, i tried to restore efs. but nothing happen. It flashed Vodafone stock rom but it still show nothing.

I still can't believe how many people don't know this:
Backing up your EFS Folder on a N7105 will do nothing
It is a different chip in the LTE (7105) and the standard "Backup your EFS" _does not_ work.
There's a couple of other apps out there that will do it for you. We're lucky though, it's possible to re-create the EFS for the 7105, not so easy for the N7100.
But really - do people not know this at all??
Here is the tool to be using - it supports the Qualcomm chips which our lovely N7105's have. LTE support, DC-HDPA etc. Poor N7100 users...
Did you check your phone memory for a backup?? Many developers add the efs backup script to their installer.

I see. ..
It sounds like the cherry pick method from a known EFS folder is the only viable way back. ..
And either the files get manually dropped into place. ..or maybe via command line using ADB..
Either way. ..No easy task without knowing the steps. ..and having a proper EFS to draw files from. ..
At least the partitions appear to be intact. ..making the restoration very possible. ..
You have proven that. ..g

So does that mean that when the official 4.3 arrives for my country. All I have to do to restore (in case I have to bring it back for service) is to flash the latest 4.3 for my country and it shouldn't mess up my IMEI because it's the latest?
All in theory of course

if you have not got a backup of the efs before you flashed any rom i would backup now and try a official rom to see if the network comes back and check if you have not got it in airplane mode. If possible try another sim

[Q] COuldn't install CM 11

Hey guys, I was on 4.3 originally then I rooted, installed TWRP and tried to install CM 11 I get error like ro.build.error fail. .. something along the lines. I tried in CWM recovery same thing. Why would I been getting that error? my baseband version is NC2
Thanks, please help
Cm doesn't update their updates scripts when new firmware is released. So it doesn't know NC2 is OK to flash on. You'll need to edit the script

Could you please give me a thorough guide on that? Like which files need to be edited, and what to put in the there etc.
There's tons of info on this already. You just replace the existing build numbers in the "assert" lines with your current build in the updater-script. Use notepad++.

Not working i still get this error : error executing updater binary in zip
Also in CWM recovery I get status 6 error.
After failing, copy log to sd. Then attach it here.

I backed up the log to external sd, where is it located? I looked in the TWRP folder but nothing there accept for my backup.
It may be on internal sd. Either way itll be on the root of one of them. recovery.log

okay, found it. here u go http://pastebin.com/wNjv1fGv
couldn't atttach fils, its says invalid file.
Its just the extension. .log files are just text so if you need to attach one in the future just change .log to .txt.
Ill take a look at that logfile in a min.

Van you go ahead and try to attach the file as I said in last post? I dont think pastebin is showing the whole file. I cant even see where you tried to flash anything.

ok I will. File attached.
Maybe im going blind!? Im not seeing where it tried to flash.... did you do the copy log to sd option right after it failed? If there were any reboots in between the flash and getting the log, it wont have the info we need...

well thats all I have. I took another back up but it didn't save the file to my device sotrage or external card storage.. dont know why. i even searched for it in my device.
Wait, I thought you were trying to flash a rom. But that sounds like youre having problems with the nandroid backup. I noticed a couple of entries that apoeared to be related to backups, but I ignored them since I was looking for a failed rom flash. Ill go back and look again, but is that what youre having trouble with?
