[Q] Stock Rooted 2.3.3 ROM - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi to all!
I have been searching for stock rooted 2.3.3 rom for htc desire for some time now. A rom without any add-ons, plain stock, just rooted. I have also checked all threads and haven't found anything like that. Maybe I have missed something? Can someone please help me out?
Thanks in andvance!

Here's one:

The link is broken but there's a mirror on the last page of the thread.
It comes with an a2sd script as well, but it won't do anything if you don't make an ext partition.

Thank you very much! I need something ultra stable but rooted. Thank you also for clarifying about a2sd. I'll delete ext partition so it won't use it.

Of you could follow the guide in my sig to make a partition, and use it to expand your phone data.

Thanks a lot guys! I'm very satisfied with this ROM. Used 5.17.05.08 radio, works perfectly. Decided to use a2sd anyways, so thank you both!

Why didn't you ask this question in the Runnymede thread? Or searched for an answer in that thread? You can try to use it, but it is designed for use if you have a CM7R2 HBOOT. For a stock HBOOT then you should select A2SD+

CM7 ...CM7 r2?

So I am running some old Rom on Bravo CM7 ...got it to work ages ago. now i'm back and I keep seeing CM7 r2?
can i use a rom made for this? do i need to "upgrade" to r2? if so, can someone point me in the right direction? sory for beign so noob...i've completely lost the touch to this awesome place!
thanks
oh one more question...how do i know what I have: A2SD/A2SD+, D2W, D2EXT -PART ? where can I check this?
Cm7r2 is a hboot which alters the size of the partitions. Not sure if you know that or not?
If you don't know what you have to move x to sd-ext, you can find out.
in settings, how big is "internal storage"? If 147MB, a2sd. If much more, data2sd

Thanks for the quick answer. Yeah I know what it is, just not whether mine (CM7) is any different to CM7 r2 (which is what i'm seeing all new Roms support). Do i HAVE to get CM7r2? how would I change my hboot is the question I suppose...I've forgotten how i did it once upon a time
and thanks for the checking internal storage trick (it's way more than 147...so must be data2sd)

easiest way I have found to flash a HBOOT (as described on alpharev.nl) is to download the PB99IMG, rename it to PB99IMG, stick it on the SD card and boot into HBOOT mode.
The fastboot-method is also very easy.

Drag-On,
This thread seems to have developed into a discussion about how to flash a new hboot, without answering the original question.
When you say that you are running 'on Bravo CM7', are you referring to the CM7 ROM or the CM7 hboot?
If you are referring to hboot, the main difference is that the original CM7 hboot has a /system/ partition of 130MB. The r2 version has a slightly larger 145MB size.
You don't have to 'upgrade' to cm7r2 unless the ROM you want to flash has a system size greater than 130MB.

The best way to open a new thread about it. I'll beat them to it by recommending either Runnymede or ICS - not sure if it would fit in cm7r2 tho.

[Q] app2sd - Introduction

Hey guys!
As the title says, I would love an introduction to app2sd so i don't make any mistakes..
Frist i installed a script from Darktremor, but i showed out to be for Nexus1.
Therefore I installed another one, but deleted that again because suddenly i only had 2,7GB, when I i used to have 4GB..
Well now I have 3,7. therefore I don't think i have deleted one of them completely!
is there a way to delete it?
And also, what app2sd should i use? Please help, as I would like to get this solved so i just can enjoy my phone and the CM9 Bravo ROM
So this i the things I need to know:
Which app2sd shall i use?
Can I delete a script? If yes, how?
//velein
Sorry, if my english has some mistakes. I'm Danish.

Which type of a2sd you use is dependant on the ROM you wish to install and the a2sd support provided by the ROM. If you wish to use the Bravo CM9 ROM, read the OP for that ROM. In this case is is referred to as Mounts2SD

Again, read the relevant para in the CM9 thread!
If you already have a different version installed, you really need to start with a full wipe before installing the ROM

... here we go again...The ext partition is a part if your sd-card dedicated to holding apps and data. You don't have one. Thats why the rom doesn't boot. Make one using 4ext tools>partition sd-card. Select 1 gb ext, and skip the rest. Don't forget to backup your sd contents, cause they will be wiped.

If it is possible with evervolv kernel to make a ROM for CDMA, then I will do.
Take it easy, I don't want your money. I need you to contribute knowledge on this because I don't have time to read all cdma related rom threads for htc desire. If you stumble across the relevant information just share it with me.
Cheers!

Does this problem also occurs on the stock ROM?
Are you the first owner of the A8181?
As well it might be a hardware problem (for example, damage), or overheating caused by the motherboard.

Thank you for replying. No, never occurred on stock. I used beanstalk ROM for 6 months , except rare reboots, everything was cool , until my SD card blow up. A week ago I got a class 10 card and i flashed beanstalk again, then my phone started to reboot while phone calls and overheating. After that i decided to flash liquidsmooth but reboots while calling and overheating continue.

Problem with Liquidsmooth v3.2 on HTC Desire Bravo
Hi
My faithful Samsung S3 died 6 weeks before the end of my contract and I'm trying to resurrect my old HTC Desire to keep me going. When I booted it, it was still running Cmd 7 and of course, hardly and of my usual apps would work on it.
I did a bit of reading today and then followed the instructions for installing Liquidsmooth v3.2 which was all good and made me much happier. Only problem is, I've installed only 8 apps and have run out of internal memory despite having activated app2sd. I know that it's working, as the Ext2 partition is about half full but the internal memory is down to only 4mb of space and barely functioning.
I've obviously done something stupid! Can someone help?
Thanks
