How to hide the "back, home and open tasks" button in B107? - Huawei Ascend P6, Mate

There was a small hide button on those 3 buttons in B106, but after upgrading to B107 that disappeared and it seems you can't hide the "back, home and open tasks" buttons anymore? Is there still a way to hide those 3 buttons?

I dont had down arrow button in b106 welll but i also want to hide the soft keys, anyone can tell us how to get that hide button ??

Really? I had that function when I was in B106, but when I upgraded to B107 and reset my phone to default, it was gone.

This Feature is disabled on the global Versions, but with Root you can reactivate it Just edit your Build Prop

ro.config.hw_shownavisettings = true means that you can hide the navigation bar (Settings -> Navigation Bar). <- Works with ROM version 104 and 107

I m telling you what i did.OK, first you need to root your phone. Instructions are here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2390491
TRY THE 3RD ONE.THE BEST
IF U DONT GET ROOT THEN BACKUP UR DATA AND FACTORY RESET AND REDO INSTRUCTIONS !!!!
Then install build prop editor from google play store. Open it, it will require root access, press left button ( grant written in chinese).
Search for line "ro.config.hw_shownavisettings" press the option. now make the false buttons "TRUE", so the line becomes "ro.config.hw_shownavisettings=true"
Give feedback and press Thanks, cheers :highfive:

Ota update adds features!!

I just received the OTA update and they have solved the biggest problem of all i.e. the menu button..
Now we can long press multitask button to bring up the menu when the 3 dot menu does not appear.
Also it shows 3 dot menu in places where they wouldn't usually appear.eg. Root Explorer...Screenshots coming later courtesy ckpv5.
THOSE WHO HAVE ROOTED..IMP:
You cannot update until you unroot and lock your bootloader again.
STEPS:
1.) Use fastboot and use command is 'fastboot oem lock'
2.) Then remove SuperUser
3.) Then try the system update.
It is a small 9 mb update so downloading worries
HIT THANKS IF I HELPED!!

Hi, If you installed a custom ROM, your 3-dot menu should be disabled and the menu key is remapped to recent key (The last touch key on your phone under the screen)
And to repair it you probably have a tweak section on your ROM (based on j4n87 tweaks) go to the tweaks and change it back

CM9 Recent Apps

Did something go wrong when I flashed CM9 again? Or did something change in an update? When I used CM9 before I could long press the recent apps button for the recent apps and tap it for the menu. Now it only does menu. Is that right?

Please help! Haptic feedback not there after hard reset

Hi request you to please understand all** I installed new 4.2.2 update via ota on my grand I9082, and i also got a small patch of 7 some mb just after that and all is perfect. But now I updated 4.2.2 same ota on my cousin's grand I9082 phone, but that stability patch did not come and sys update gave error that Samsung has exceeded the updates and go to kies to update, I even did that and instead of just installing the patch as I thought kies would be needed just for the remaining patch, but it though freshly installed 4.2.2 all over as it took time... All got fully updated, but even after all went successful by that still phone was rebooting itself a lot minute after minute sometimes or after few minutes and like that (if kept idle) . I then did a factory reset and all is fine, but haptic feedback is gone! What I think as could be my misconception but could be right that as on my grand it got totally updated correctly ota, so 4.1.2 some things still remained and 4.2.2 things got added on mine . And in my cousins grand due to factory reset I only have what 4.2.2 has to offer as even in system sound settings I don't see any haptic feedback on-off option .
Am I right or is there still a way to get haptic feedback back on my cousin's grand ?!
Please help, reply soon,, would highly appreciate the same!

Thank you so much, once I get my cousin's phone I will do that... but why did it go away after a factory reset on 4.2.2 ?! Did the factory reset didn't happened properly or if we do a factory reset in 4.2.2 then we will loose haptic feedback?! As in my grand its still there (as I got the perfect update from Samsung, first the firmware update then a 7 plus mb stability patch and didn't do any reset on it) even when there is no option to turn off/on haptic feeback in sound system settings or anywhere in 4.2.2 settings ( I feel Samsung sensibly during the update kept the 4.1.2 feature still available, but if u factory reset being on 4.2.2 then default haptic feedback will go away) ...

You first of all still haven't thanked him, you should if that worked for you! I can't because it will not work as the phone is not rooted and is of my cousin which I cannot root.. she's not into developing stuff . So saying thanks is enough by me and others though who have rooted can click him thanks for sure!
My cousin sis came today and I installed spare parts+ in her Samsung grand, but it still didn't worked as I exited from the app after chaging settings, and opened it back I saw the setting same as default unchanged and haptic feedback turned off, animations also just on normal as I did on fast .
Then I got a stability update of around 64-65 mb from Samsung ota and I updated it and I got the haptic feedback back itself, so Samsung may realised this mistake that if people will reset after 4.2.2 they will loose haptic feedback, so they might corrected that...
But another problem remains as after the patch update I again installed spare parts+, and I saw haptic feedback on by default which is good, but animations remained on normal only (were not even changing after I changed to fast and opened the app again, it showed on normal again), where on my grand which I haven't reset or didn't faced any issue is on fast animation by default . So just need that last thing to be corrected without root .
If you are using the latest 4.2.2 update (not the old 4.2.2 but the new UBMI1) goto settings-> my device-> accessibility options and tap on haptic feedback swipe it on and check on more haptic options.
those who dont know yet new FW has some cool features in accessibility options such as auto unlock on opening flip cover and LED flash on notifications.
btw im not sure this was there in the old 4.1.2 and 4.2.2 FW please dont kill me for that
